NATIONAL MUSEUM OF KOREAN LITERATURE The rational vs the irrational in architecture The comparison of a free-hand movement with controlled structural patterns highlights the contrast between 3D printed and traditional construction technology. Traditional concrete technology follows established methods, bound to the supply chain production rationalisation of manufacturing, which insisted upon technology based on the formwork dimension governed grid. 3D technology eliminates this notion of the grid-based rationalisation systems by using ‘singular’ material and its bottom-to-top layering method. No more factory-based rationalised supply chain systems. Post-rationalisation collides with a rationalisation of the meaningless combination of elements confined to a sequence forming a conglomerate of an organism, while the organism is a singular motion, technique, material and a free form. No more container stacked rectangles. Shape does not matter, if the rational resonates with the desired outcome. The expression of thoughts, unconstrained by technology leads to a liberation of thought itself. Just as ink made it possible to record and translate thought, not only in the form of words as symbols, but also in the generation of stories. Capaz de contribuir até com a medicina criando próteses de membros (e, recentemente, até de córneas), a impressão 3D agora será usada para outro fim positivo: construir casas de concreto. O “Project Milestone” é o primeiro do tipo e deve começar a sair do papel ainda neste ano em Eindhoven, na Holanda.

O projeto consiste em um conjunto habitacional de cinco casas que serão construídas no local usando a impressão 3D. De acordo com as projeções, todas elas serão diferentes umas das outras e as cinco terão um visual futurístico, com bordas arredondadas que as tornam parecidas com casulos de formatos inusitados.

De acordo com informações do site do “Project Milestone” – idealizado a partir de uma parceria entre um time de arquitetos e a Universidade de Tecnologia de Eindhoven –, a primeira casa terá uma área de quase 100 metros quadrados e três quartos dispostos em um único andar.

Conforme a primeira casa ficar pronta para a habitação – algo que, segundo o site, deve ocorrer na metade de 2019 –, o time dará início à construção das próximas, que, ao contrário da primeira, devem ter mais andares. Além da promessa de conforto, os desenvolvedores do projeto também asseguram que, com o uso de uma impressora 3D, a construção se torna mais simples e sustentável.

Segundo eles, enquanto a forma convencional de construir com concreto usa muito mais material que o necessário – já que o manuseio não é exatamente preciso e é necessário retirar o excesso –, a construção a partir de impressoras 3D deposita o material apenas onde é preciso, reduzindo não apenas os custos, mas a emissão de gás carbônico gerada durante a produção do concreto.

Além disso, o time também cita como vantagens desse método o fato de que, construindo diretamente no local, não há necessidade de transportar materiais, a possibilidade de instalar sensores (de segurança, luz e temperatura, por exemplo) diretamente nos lugares certos durante a construção, e a personalização que um projeto feito com impressoras 3D possibilitam.

Quanto ao local escolhido, o site do projeto afirma que a região de Bosrijk é a primeira em Eindhoven a não se conectar com a rede de gás natural da cidade e tem muitas áreas verdes – sendo uma delas a designada para receber as casinhas feitas a partir de impressão 3D, algo que deve proporcionar uma bela vista aos moradores.

A hollandiai Eindhovenben az új technológia a kőművesmunkát váltja fel – adta hírül a The Guardian.

  Az ingatlanpiacon jövőre megjelenő öt ház közül a legkisebb – egy két hálószobás otthon – iránt már húsz család érdeklődött az után, hogy a lakóházak látványterveit bemutatták.

  A Van Wijnen holland építőipari cég az Eindhoveni Műszaki Egyetemmel közös Mérföldkő programnak nevezett fejlesztése megoldást kínál a szakképzett kőművesek hiányára az országban, csökkenti az építési költségeket és a környezeti károkat is a kevesebb cement használata által – közölte Rudy van Gurp, a cég menedzsere.

  Az építéshez használt 3D-s nyomtató lényegében egy hatalmas robotkar a végén fecskendővel, amely kilövelli a különleges, tejszínhabhoz hasonló állagú cementet. Ezt az anyagot az építész tervei szerint formázzák, egyik réteget a másikra húzzák, hogy falat emeljenek és növeljék szilárdságát. “Nincs szükségünk zsaluzásra, és nem fogunk több cementet felhasználni a szükségesnél” – magyarázta Van Gurp.

  A lakóházaknak csak a külső és a belső falai készülnek a nyomtatóval. Mire az ötödik otthon elkészül, amely háromszintes és három hálószobás lesz, a szakemberek azt remélik, hogy a szennyvízcsatornát és más tartozékokat is képesek lesznek elkészíteni 3D-s nyomatóval.

  Az új technológia lehetővé teszi azt is, hogy a falakba közvetlenül beépítsék a világítás, a fűtés és a biztonsági berendezés működtetéséhez szükséges vezeték nélküli érzékelőket, hogy okosházakat alkossanak.
