A headcanon in SCOS, the card suit markings are birthmarks. It marks them as descendants of the Royal Suits, the living cards that served the Queen of Hearts.

Which is why Alice has the suit of hearts on her face.

my fear about them not using the keep for datv (along with the fact that it allows for less variance in worldstate, but i do buy the excuse that a lot of that stuff won’t be relevant in a wider story set years later) is that the keep is going to be abandoned and/or deactivated, making it impossible to play any type of custom world state in inquisition

Pessimistic side of my brain is worried about like, what if theAH archiving and Dogbark happening as a new brand is a way to obfuscation and bury all the controversies of of AH? I have nothing to based this on I'm just fucking, distrustful still

i feel like if they actually wanted to obfuscate it, they would've just nuked the channel altogether and pretend it never happened lol. besides, the effects of the controversies were huge and are archived on the internet forever, so any attempts to bury any controversy is futile

i feel like what's happened here is a mercy kill, if anything (if that's the right term). like. including major controversies like ryan being a predatory cunt, and fucking everything in 2022 that i've lost track of, several members who haven't left years ago got laid off in special cases (matt and andy), or got too busy with projects within rt to the point where they barely show up anyways (like gavin and more recently lindsay). the remaining members choosing to make a new thing from scratch is better in the long run, and feels more sweet than bitter to me. better that than to keep AH going until it ends with a whimper, at least :P

replaced my glasses frames with ones that are basically identical but the corners are a few millimeters thicker and dont frame my face the same way as the old ones did and consequentially i havent felt pretty in like 5 months

One of the only good things about mum not understanding the appeal in video games is that she was APPALLED when she found out my older brother made me pay him for his old original xbox when I was a teen lol
