This is something I learned at one of the pre-op visits for my breast reduction! My surgeon was basically I think an independent surgeon (as I guess I would imagine is common for “cosmetic”/plastic surgeons?) and she was telling us a little bit about what to do for talking to insurance about the surgery and stuff, and she mentioned that for us going through insurance it would be at a particular hospital, but she also often did surgeries where people didn’t use there insurance, and she did those at some other place, and the price she charged up front was much lower, because that was the actual cost of the surgery (and equipment and everyone’s salaries etc.) and she had to raise the ticket price significantly when people would go through insurance, because the insurance company would negotiate that price down, and then keep some of the money. (Obviously for us and many others it still worked out to be cheaper for us out of pocket to go through insurance, but the amount she made was roughly the same even though it would look like she charged thousands more for my breast reduction than for someone not using insurance)
So, when you get those bills from your insurance after a doctors visit, and there’s that little table that tells you, this is the cost of the visit, this is the discount we got you, this is how much we paid, this is how much you still have to pay?
That line about “we got you this discount” is misleading. They actually caused the provider to raise the initial cost of your care by that amount, or more, in anticipation of the insurance company refusing to pay the full amount so that they could tell you they got you a discount.
"Why does a 15-minute visit with a doctor cost 150 bucks in America???" you're gonna want to read Money-Driven Medicine, by Maggie Mahar, and probably also The Social Transformation of American Medicine, to answer that question. It is not because your doctor is a greedy bastard; your doctor does not see most of that money. It is because the system is broken to a level that is truly impressive in its dedication to making a shit ton of money for insurance company executives and shareholders.
#my doctors visits are always around 3 or 400 for me because they never get billed as physicals because I also need prescriptions filled#and I need to go in 4x a year because adderall is so heavily restricted#and my last visit was actually $700 because they needed to drug test me not even for a real reason but because at the previous visit when#they drug tested me (also for bullshit reasons- to check that I was taking my meds instead of selling them or soemthing)#it came up with a false positive for opioids. which I don’t have access to or interest in and would not have been in my system#(mom’s nurse friend hypothesized that maybe the poppy seeds on the wverythign bagel I probably had for breakfast that morning set it off. it#seems like that’s a pretty common food to have and they should either warn you ahead of time about that or it shouldn’t be sensitive enough#to pick that up)#and insurance was like ‘we got you a $195 discount’ which is bs and ‘we paid $4’ which is even stupider#so now at my next virtual visit I’m gonna have to say hey I know the answer is no because of institutionalized stigma against me that you’re#not willing to push back on but I can’t fuckingn afford to keep paying $1600+ a year for what at this point is a middle man between me and a#pharmacist because I’ve been on this medication for fucking ages and all my other ones could be refilled at a yearly physical#so is there any way we could change things up somehow. and she’s going to say no. and I’m going to be angry and upset about it for days#back when i was at my pediatrician I had to go in every six months which was annoying but I would happily go back to that over four times a#year#but idk if the rules changed or if the rules are different for adults or if my doctor just sucks bc I brought that up early on and she was#like no this is what we do#I mean. I can technically afford it. I have the money I’m not going into medical debt or anything. I live at home with my parents and have#very low living expenses and my checking account is limited primarily by my own standards of how much I’ve decided I want to be putting into#my savings account each paycheck. but when the biggest expense in my life is something that already frustrates me and that I know is exp too#expensive and that I feel I shouldn’t have to be doing anyway and I know I’m being treated unfairly#it just feels so much worse. having to take money out of my savings account wouldn’t be the end of the world. but it feels wrongs#and I only make like $36#lmao I forgot about the commas thing.#like $36k a year so I also am aware that even though I’m in a lucky place where I’m stable that’s not *that* much money and I feel like that#is how I tend to think of things. because I’m not going to live with my parents forever and I’m deeply aware that for most people who have#to pay a rent or a mortgage $36k is the lower end of things and a seven fucking hundred dollar doctors bill is a big fuckingn deal#for a regular fucking doctors appointment#it’s not like I fucking asked to be drug tested they said ‘pay us to look at your pee or else’#it’s all bullshit

IAT – GAR Structure Jedi & Clones (AU)
Worked out this guide for the military structure and number of clone troopers per unit for the GAR & Co.
Most of it is taken from canon, with some details and minor adjustments for the AU :)
General thoughts and overview for the setting are collected in this post (continually updated) – though I might end up making separate posts elaborating on the different points & characters.
Jedi Ranks (GAR)
Council Member -> High General
Master -> General
Knight -> Commander
Senior Padawan -> Major
Padawan -> Captain
Padawans may lead companies when necessary, though it's generally avoided. Exceptions can be made for senior Padawans to command battalions on their own.

Includes Jedi Guardians, command clones, and trained ARC troopers.
▼ Year 1 estimate GAR count ▼
20,480 Companies = Captains / Majors
5,120 Battalions = Battalion Commanders
1,280 Regiments = Jedi Commanders / Regimental Commanders
320 Brigades = Jedi Generals/Commanders / Senior Commanders
80 Corps = Experienced Jedi Generals / Marshal Commanders
20 Sector Armies = 20 High Jedi Generals
10 Systems Armies = 10 of the 20 High Jedi Generals
Several corps and the personal battalions therein are under direct joint command of clones and Jedi generals overseeing larger units, such as experienced Masters or council members. -> Kenobi oversees the 3rd Systems Army and 3rd Sector Army therein, directly leading the 7th Sky Corps and the 212th Attack Battalion, with Cody as his second-in-command.
Clone commanders of higher rank have a personal battalion they lead on top of the unit they oversee. -> e.g. Cody is the marshal commander of the 7th Sky Corps, while personally commanding the 212th Attack Battalion.
There are always 20 active members on the Jedi High Council – 10 experienced council members are each assigned a systems army, while also responsible for one sector and personally overseeing a corps therein. The remaining members oversee one of the other 10 sectors and command a corps each, as well.
Special Forces
Special task forces comprised of elite clone commandos, trained by Mandalorians. They are capable of carrying out special operations, such as covert infiltration, sabotage, demolition and assassination.
Squad (4)
★ Sergeant -> 3 Troopers

ARC troopers are clones who received additional training by Alpha-class commandos post-Geonosis, turning them into elite soldiers capable of independent and creative thinking on the field. The original Alphas have unaltered minds and were personally trained by Jango Fett, which greatly influenced their capabilities.
-> 100 Alpha-class Commandos -> 500+ Clone Troopers (Year 1 estimate)
Homeworld Security Command
Homeworld Security operates differently to the GAR – shock troopers are trained on Coruscant for an urban setting and regular contact with the general public. Units are assembled per situation and structured to be split into pairs, including command staff and medics.

I cleared my hoard of all items except 100 energy boosts and cleared my SB and GB as well as HS down to 0 to see what 100 energy boosts could total out to.
Baseline from just exploring I got 2080 SB
After selling off all amusement items, small meat chunks, and other misc one-use carcasses to Monkey Business, I gained an additional 7716 SB, bringing the total to 9796 SB / nearly 10 GB from exploring and explore items
Gained a total of 987 HS
Found 7 Chased lionesses on Energy Boosts 12, 36, 54, 71, 76, 99, and 100 that would be worth something if I could be bothered to put the energy in, but I personally don't so they'll be killed without adding to the profit of this experiment
Leveled 3 times and got 80% of the way towards leveling a fourth time, didn't engage in any battles but did gain EXP from interactions
Got to Dreamboat and a few 100% impression stat boosts after that
Ultimately, being that I'll be able to buy 16 Buffalo Scrogums with that (and assuming they sell for 25 each later in the year on the low end), I'll flip this for 400GB on the low end, bringing my net profit of this experience to 200GB and 9796SB (before selling off carcasses; I kept them for my over 200 lions but I'll have surplus to sell off for more SB after they feed). I find it very interesting that I never found a SINGLE abandoned nest in this little experiment, which is something else I really wanted out of it and am disappointed to have not received.
What do you all think of this experiment and its results?

Drew a growth and development for Cardassians chart!
Cardassians are born with stripes and countershading, which started as an evolutionary adaption to protect them. Calling someone "striped" in Kardasi still carries a connotation of being young, foolish, etc. This is enforced by children's clothes traditionally being modified for continuous wear by being loose and adding strips of fabric to the the sleeves and hems until about 9, when children begin to wear clothes similar to that of adults. The pigmentation of these striped scales is a purple-brown iridescence that fades as Cardassians age, but still retains some presence (if you pay attention the dappled scales on their upper backs have a bit of purple and green in, which I choose to interpret as iridescence). Some Cardassians also have speckling or dappling patterns, usually in addition to stripes; these cluster with geographic/ancestral origin and are a normal variation.
When I refer to ridge development, I not only mean formation of scales (one baby Cardassian we see in show only has ridges over the eyebrows, not yet reaching the cheeks) but the filling out as well. The medial ridge and shoulder ridges form in the womb, but are flat until around age 9. Traditionally the growth spurt and filling of scales occurs earlier than the development of sexual characteristics (which corellate to the age of emergence, about 15 or 16), but as food access improves the latter event tends to occur earlier. The protective scaling on the outer thighs and knees is present from birth, but the individual scales are smaller and softer, hardening and growing larger in their teen years.
If you've read my notes on Hebitians I mention there's an assumption that Hebitians are short, and that it's more an issue that post-Union, Hebitians tend to be poor and have had less access to nutrition, and height corellates more with that. The jump here for the growth spurt associated with their "first season" (Cardassian term is kashmim and doesn't quite translate to season) helps give an idea of how much that matters for Cardassians-as-a-species compared to other species. This height differential doesn't really exist during the show on Cardassia, as around the time the Occupation of Bajor began, the Detapa council instituted a series of food subsidies keeping certain basic food items at a stable price over the past several decades, and changed tack in its approach to poverty and homelessness, especially with regard to children (obviously, this wasn't a net good in the case of the latter, with the experiences of those who received this type of aid being a driving factor in the dissident movement).
They start out comparatively so much smaller as an evolutionary trade off so there's a longer pregnancy, making sure they're more developed without causing every Cardassian that's ever given birth to need a c-section. An infant Cardassian is much more mobile than that of a species with a comparable adult size. However, they don't have any faster linguistic development or socialization- the trade off that meant your kid was less likely to get eaten by another apex predator now means having an extended family or the money to hire a nanny is necessary for any new parents mental stability and overall health.
The jump in height is taxing, and historically some schools have structured the curriculum to be very light around age 9, either only having half day classes or reducing the days attended. On Cardassia as it is around DS9, curriculum is structured for half days for 3 dleiha, equivalent to 360 days (Cardassian "school years" are 195 days with a 36 day break, not counting holidays or "weekly" rest days). It's characterized by excessive shedding, more sleeping, more eating, muscle cramps and aches, and bruising from the growth spurts. Around this time kids basically lay around the house with a humidifier, or take frequent trips to the sauna, and hide under a heated blanket. After this age male Cardassians are expected to remove the hair from the tips of their tails; keeping it is associated with femininity. Cardassians overall look similar regardless of sex; Cardassians idealize women being broader chested and hipped, and a bit shorter than men.

To be young, beautiful, and the preference
I recently made a video about the Sprinkle Sprinkle lady, Sheraseven, and how her messaging didn't seem right with me, especially the part of her husband being married and having a girlfriend and her allegedly helping to clean out the wife's bank account, and I was told I didn't get it and they're right. The message is missing me, because at 36, I have lived to see a few things and know that everything she is saying is not completely copacetic and simply unrealistic and don't make sense. When I was 23, I was asked on a date by an older gentleman who then proceeded to ask me if I wanted to be a courtesans, which is another word for escort or, what we call today, a 304. This was not the first or last time I was asked this. I wasn't that type of girl, so I declined but no shame to those who are in the life. I had offers from older men to "take care of me," which was expected as I was young and beautiful and they were older, not necessarily ugly, but older with stable careers and money and we both knew what it was. But I noticed by the time I hit my late 20s, the offers kind of stopped. Not completely, as the man got to be a bit older, but slowed down. I say all that to say, the women like Savannah James and Sheraseven, who can truly have the hypergamous life, at seemingly very little expense, are few and far between and even Shera7 is looking a little funny in the light and Savannah doesn't talk much, so it's easy to project onto her.
I have noticed that most of the discord against Sheraseven and the SprinkleSprinkle movement comes from women in my age range, mid-late 30s to Gen X women in their 50s because we've been through it and we see how the men treat these women when they're done with them and it's not us being bitter that we're "old," it's that we know how it turns out and all the stuff they're telling you and giving you is just B.S. But like every generation, this generation of young people will have to figure it out on their own and will eventually join the elder circle of those watching the young people make the mistakes they once made.
There is a reason why the age gap between men and women began to widen around the age of 28 or so because as women began to wisen up, so do men and the luster tends to wane on both ends and this also the age when most people start to permanently, or at least legally, couple up and begin families and men, who like to impress with money, material things, and experiences can't really do that with a woman who has been experiencing that life since she was 17 or 18. Bow Wow, who is only a few months younger than me, famously said he want a woman he can give new experiences to and Marques Houston, who is in his early 40s, said he wanted a younger woman who didn't have baggage and kids, all the while saying his 19 year old wife was more mature than women twice her age. Okay. This is nothing new, men can simply blame it on feminism and independent womanhood but if we go back to history, the amount of our grandmothers and great grandmothers who got married and became mothers before they turned 18, to men twice their age, is astounding and this was before women had "rights." So miss me with the reasonings and excuses.
Youth and beauty are the most depreciating commodities but we treat them like they're everlasting and for some reason, every generation believes they are the exception and not the rule. Men have trained young, beautiful, 18-25 year old women to give them their peak beauty and time, many times to be left with very little to show for it once they hit the proverbial wall of 35 and up. Every older woman with a not so tight body and 3-4 kids, was once supple, young, and believed the world was her oyster was well and that she would never be traded in for the newest model. The naivete and resilience of late teens-20 somethings to see the best in life and that they're the exception will always amaze me because 20 somethings, who have never experienced life on their own, believe they have it all figured out. I remember being in my early 20s and getting offended when an older person told me I had more to learn or that I wasn't as wise as I thought I was and they weren't wrong and I should have listened because I would have saved myself a few mistakes and some time.
The way things were done may have changed but the game is still the same. I was in my early-mid 20s when social media really began popping to the point where nobodies became bigger stars than those with legit talent. It made multimillionaires and red carpet staples out of ordinary people. IG really became the new King Magazine, if you know you know, where a new way of life opened for women simply because they were beautiful. These women like Amber Rose, Black Chyna, Brittney Renner, India Love, Bernice Burgous, and even Kim Kardashian would go viral every time they posted a picture and many got opportunities and high profile relationships from it. The IG baddies who were at their peak in the early-mid 2010s are all in their thirties and some in their 40s and they're starting to pivot. They know Kim Kardashian is the only 40 plus woman who can still post a naked picture and it seem normal. Women in this life, from all generations, typically do one of three things, they have a baby, they get married, or they pivot into a successful business owner or even religion. The women who are my age, mid-late 30s are considered old or used up because this is the age your body changes and no longer easily bounces back, and women tend to be wiser and talk back a little more and men want a trophy and not a chihuahua.
The amount of women who believe they can outplay the architect of the game, is amazing to me. The game will always be rigged to let just enough of the select few in for us to believe we all have a chance at being the exception to the rule. The amount of women I see who believe they are playing men, only to get played at the end, is astounding. I remember when Ashley, from RHOP, was still married to Michael and they redid their prenup after he got caught cheating to get half of their shared assets and they're now divorced and she's not getting any child support while living in a house she cannot afford, that is in an LLC, that Michael owns and he can come by anytime he wants and make her company leave but let the internet tell it, Ashley won and she outplayed Michael.
There is a phrase that goes "church is where hoes go to die" because at some point, everyone ages out of the game, no matter what game you play, and sometimes the church is the only place a former hussie can have a little bit of power. There is a reason why Blac Chyna and Brittany Renner are trying to pivot because while they're still beautiful and someone's dream girl, they've aged out of the population they were once prominent in.

anyway that put me in a Mood, and combined with my other recent post it reminded me of an experiment I’ve been pondering for years
google hits for the various permutations of ordering the individual words within ‘Spongebob Squarepants’:
Spongebob Squarepants - 35,900,000 but that one’s kinda expected, not what I’m interested in. Squarepants Spongebob - 843,000 but see below Bobpants Spongesquare - 3,680 Spongepants Squarebob - 2,550 Squarebob Spongepants - 989 Spongesquare Bobpants - 516 Bobsponge Squarepants - 443 Bobsponge Pantssquare - 433 Bobsquare Spongepants - 128 Bobpants Squaresponge - 104 Pantssquare Bobsponge - 83 Squaresponge Bobpants - 55 Pantsbob Squaresponge - 54 Spongepants Bobsquare - 53 Bobsquare Pantssponge - 36 Pantsbob Spongesquare - 33 Spongebob Pantssquare - 10 Spongesquare Pantsbob - 7 Squaresponge Pantsbob - 6 Squarepants Bobsponge - 5 Pantssquare Spongebob - 5 Pantssponge Bobsquare - 3 Squarebob Pantssponge - 1 Pantssponge Squarebob - 1
Squarepants Spongebob gets a ton of false positives from things like The Origin of SpongeBob SquarePants. SpongeBob SquarePants: The Complete First Season (DVD)
also literally like half of these are the titles of YTPs or other forms of youtube shitpost
here’s a chart of all the positions and how many times each word appears in them though (again, excluding those first two lines for being basically irrelevant to this exercise):
1 2 3 4 Sponge 3136 941 4835 283 Bob 4824 1087 715 2569 Square 1056 775 3152 4212 Pants 179 6392 493 2131

so, today i got called by two jobs with the prelim like screening call before they book an interview and tell you more about the role (both in aged care). the first one was a scheduling role, and they asked me about my strengths and areas of improvement (that i blanked on, as per usual tbh) and other questions like that. i told them my expected salary was the lowest end, 69k.... when the salary window is 69k to like 75k.
the second one wanted to up me from what i originally epplied for (another scheduling position, at $36 an hour and i give up some weekends for an on-call turn between sw sydney and where i live... and also work 7am to 7pm or 11am to 7pm [idk why they listed 2 different times tbh]).... but they instead tried to sell me on upping to a case management role aged care home care packages, which is more pay ($41/hr to $44/hr depending on experience. idk if im fit for this role bc i dont have the thorough knowledge of the (australian) aged care act and also like at least 2 years exp in aged care managing complex needs etc. what i like about this place is that they've noticed i have skills and they want me to USE them!!! unlike fucking bs cadetship workplace kept denying me while i was there.... and keep denying still even though i've left.
and im mostly iffy with this bc i KNOW that the lady i usually use as my referee from my old work will dissuade me from doing this bc "you dont actually have those skills why dont you use mary (not her real name, my old mentor from cadetship job) instead???/ but i cant trust mary to say anything nice, actually, jacqi and i CANT use my old boss bc she'll again whinge and bitch and whine that "SHE HAS THE WRONG PERSONALITY FOR ADMIN AND CASE MANAGEMENT HOW DARE YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT GIVING HER A CHANCE AT THAT!!! AND FOR HIGHER PAY TOO!! DISGUSTING!!!" but jacqi (not her real name) would be happy to do the scheduling positions, mostly bc they're like 90% admin and customer service, which are the only things she's actually happy for me to apply for.
also doesnt help that the first scheduling job place is now in the same building as shit boss, and who knows i might have to share the lift with her on her lunch break while i go for an interview (if i progress to that stage). what a fucking nightmare working for place that constantly enjoyed putting me down bc i wouldn't/won't listen SPECIFICALLY AND ONLY to them for career advice.
#life#about me#shut up ilona#ilona's jobhunting thoughts and woes lol#ilona's work thoughts#ilona's work dilemmas#the usual lady i use for references is also the one who told me last time to go waste another 12k on a fashion course at tafe.....#...... only to be unemployed at the end of that as well all bc 'you like to dress well so you MUST love making your own clothes!!'#those are two COMPLETELY different things jacqi. god.#and she also told me to see a careers adviser at tafe to 'find a career that YOULL LOVE and dedicate your whole life to!....#.....i cant help you sorry not sorry!!!#like jacqi i dont have time to do all that bs about 'finding a job you LOVE and meets your VALUES!!!!' and all that bs#i have 67.5k of student debt thats not getting paid off!!! and a car loan i want to pay outright to get rid of it!!!#fuck the bs around 'your job must be soooooooooo fulfilling and MUST be something you L O V E!!!!#i just NEED a job and i need to experiment first and get some shit paid off pronto. idgaf what the fuck it is tbh

Insights and Trends at MAD STARS 2023: Tom Goddard
Innovation in Out of Home Advertising
If you missed the MAD STARS 2023 conference, you missed a lot of amazing sessions from some of the brightest minds in the media and advertising industry. One of them was Tom Goddard, the president of World Out of Home Organization (WOO). In his keynote speech, he shared his insights and perspectives on the current state and future trends of OOH, the fastest-growing medium in the advertising landscape.
OOH: A Resilient and Dynamic Medium
Goddard began his speech by highlighting the remarkable recovery of the global OOH market following the COVID-19 pandemic, which severely impacted the industry in 2020. He cited the latest statistics from WOO INDEX, showing that global OOH spending reached $36.2 billion in 2022, surpassing the pre-pandemic level. He also projected that 2023 could see global OOH spending surpass $40 billion for the first time, driven by China's rebound and increased demand from other regions.
However, Goddard also acknowledged a challenge that OOH faces: its share of overall advertising expenditure has remained stagnant at around 5% for the past decade. He emphasized the need to address this challenge for the industry to thrive.
He then provided a regional breakdown of OOH spending, showing that North America and Europe are closely matched, with APAC leading the way, even with China's 2022 numbers lagging behind due to regulatory issues. He also gave insights into South Korea's OOH market, which mirrors the global trend of post-pandemic recovery. Although there has been a slight drop in the percentage share of total media spend, South Korea's 6% still outperforms the global average.
DOOH: A Game-Changer for OOH
Goddard then shifted his focus to DOOH (Digital Out of Home), which he described as a game-changer for OOH. He showed that global DOOH revenue continues to grow, now accounting for 37% of overall global OOH revenue. He also showed that digital penetration in major regions ranges from 30% to 40%, with Africa and LATAM lagging behind.
He praised South Korea's DOOH market, which has seen significant growth in recent years, aligning with the global forecast of 36% for 2023. He also highlighted South Korea's impressive market rankings, ranking 7th in the world and 3rd in APAC in both OOH and DOOH.
The Future of OOH: Driven by Innovation and Creativity
Goddard concluded his speech by highlighting the positive dynamics driving the OOH industry forward. These include digital transformation, media ownership consolidation, improved measurement, increased automation, programmatic channels, data analytics, challenges in the big tech world, and a resurgence of creativity.
He showcased some outstanding examples of creative campaigns in OOH, emphasizing the medium's unique ability to capture audience attention and deliver impactful messages. He also shared some innovative technologies and formats that are transforming OOH, such as interactive screens, facial recognition, augmented reality, holograms, and more.
Goddard wrapped up his keynote address by reaffirming OOH's relevance in the digital age, its adaptability to change, and its potential to capitalize on the challenges faced by big tech. He stressed that the creative community's renewed interest and ongoing innovation would continue to fuel the sector's growth.
Conclusion
Tom Goddard's keynote speech at MAD STARS 2023 was an inspiring and informative session that shed light on the ever-evolving world of OOH advertising. He provided a comprehensive overview of the exciting developments and trends in the OOH industry and left the audience with a sense of optimism about its future.
If you want to learn more about Tom Goddard and WOO, you can visit WOO's website (www.worldooh.org).

Wk 7_Introduction to kinetic type
In class yesterday, we were introduced to our second module, which will explore kinetic type. It seems like a much more open brief for this module than the first, so i think my key approach to make sure i don't get overwhelmed by choice, is to do a lot of ideation and drafting - more than i did for the type specimen.
I don't have any experience in digital animation but the task does look really interesting. It is something I have wanted to learn for a while though. I discovered a site a year or so ago, during a project i was making, called non-objective which i found really cool and thought of when i heard we were doing animation. I have also seen the rise in popularity of 3D type recently, especially on social media, so i think there will be plenty of points of inspiration around. But I think going to LinkedIn learning will be my first point of call to learn some things.
I did some brief looking through Bēhance in class yesterday and the 36 days of type instagram. Both were some really great starting points for getting an idea of the kind of things that are possible and mainly the kinds of movement i could do. Some great examples i have found so far of what seems like more basic forms of movement:
Holke 79 their website and a project i found of theirs on Bēhance called type in motion. They have some really streamlined movements that appear fairly uncomplicated in terms of detail.
Kinetic Typography & Gradient V2 by Yoan de La Fontaine is a really cool one for how you could morph type into an object and back again.
One from Klim Type Foundry
Something i noticed about the kinetic type i came across in my brief research was there seem to be a few different types of motion.
Static and reformative: a motion within a set frame where the object/letter doesn't move out of. They also tend to repeat, morphing out of - sometimes into something completely different or deconstructive - and back into the original object/letter. Such as (36 days of type by Réka Kovács) or (Variable type experiments by Schultzschultz GmbH) or (Letters in motion by Nahuel Bardi) or another (36 days of type by Walt Gómez) or (Roto animated poster by Nacho Piera Pastor) or (100 ways to move an A by Ricardo Meyer).
Transitional: additive or moving where the objects/letters move in and out of frame but not necessarily to an orignal position. Such as (Type loops) or (Kinetic typography explorations by Abdulrahman Zakaria)
Effect: Where the text stays in position and an effect of sorts is added over is to enhance is or to show movement. Such as (Motion type colour by Sonya Nechkina) or (Kinetic typography Exp. v2 by Vincenzo Marchese Ragona).
