How about 3 and 30 for the couples ask questions? 🙂

Oh hey - thank you for the ask! I was not expecting it and both questions gave me a pause, not going to lie. Here is the post with the questions! I'd love to answer more if anyone else is curious.

But let's go for #3 and 30!

3. What's their favourite thing to tease each other about?

They both love teasing each other for showing affection. They are both bad at it and when they see it on each other it's a perfect opportunity for a laugh.

Separately Astarion likes letting her take the lead in explorations. Even though, she will occasionally get lost or pull them into trouble because she saw a book or a shiny gem. You can be sure that he will tease her about it when it happens but he won't offer to take the lead.

Lorelei on the other hand loves teasing Astarion about his silly plans. She will listen to him go on about his grand dreams of usurping some kind of power with no intentions of enabling him considering said plans usually come down to "we'll just kill everyone."

30. Where is their relationship the strongest?

I started typing something for this but then thinking about it I changed it. Their strongest trait as a couple is they work incredibly well with each other.

From the moment they've entered to Wither's temple, it was clear how much in sync they were. She would notice the traps and he would disarmed them. He could conjure up an illusion as Lorelei slipped behind the enemies They were both rogues specializing in different skills. Hide-ambush, detect traps-lock pick doors, it became a reflex almost instantly.

They made a perfect tomb raiding pair. It put them together in many occasions. Whenever they needed stealth it was just the two of them working together. And they were good, much better than they would be if they were working alone. Covering the skills the other was lacking.

So the answer is working together. That's where their relationship is the strongest.

Hello and thank you for the ask! I would love to answer them. Here are the rest of the questions if anyone else would like to have a go!

Let's go - for Lorelei and Astarion!

5. How do they sleep?

They are the biggest cuddlers you can ever meet. It doesn't matter who is the big spoon, or who is laying on who's chest, they will be wrapping those hands and legs around each other.

Even though Astarion is usually colder than Lorelei, she doesn't care. She'll pull him into a hug no matter what. And also I think of Astarion's warmth as how a pillow heats up when you hug it. So he warms up after about 5 minutes of hugging her, anyway.

Lorelei is a half-elf and Astarion is an elf. He doesn't need as much sleep as her but that doesn't mean he'll leave their bed once he is awake. It is not unusual for him to prolong his rest to stay with her. In times when he doesn't want to he'll just enjoy hugging her. If he's really bored he'll get a book to read while she's asleep. On calmer nights, he might do chores around the house and then come back inside the bed before she wakes up and pulls her into a hug. He also might stay until she's asleep, leave for a hunt and then come back for his rest and in those times they usually wake up at the same time.

13. How do they express love for each other? Do they have compatible love languages?

I see Astarion as a person who is starved for that affectionate touch. Lorelei is the same. She's slept around for years and rarely formed bonds with people. So in their touch starved state, they very much share the same love language. It's touching each other, any free time they have.

And as for how they express love… their favourite thing is bathing together. It started when Astarion joined Lorelei one time while she was taking a bath and she decided to wash his hair for him. He was hooked to that feeling after that.

Other than that they will do little things for each other. Astarion will find more blankets when he notices that she was cold on a previous night. He loves carrying her in his arms just because and loves it even more when she protests. And he makes it a point to be there with her despite their different sleeping habits. He will very rarely be not in bed with her (or wherever they are sleeping really) when she's either falling asleep or waking up. He wants to be the first thing and the last thing she sees in her day.

For Lorelei, before Astarion was cured it was getting him gifts. Whether it is a one of a kind dagger or an embroidered leather armour she knows he'd love, she'll get it for him. Or steal it for him to make him even happier!

After he is cured of vampirism, she added feeding whatever she has in her hands to him. She has some ice cream? She'll give him a spoonful so he can taste it. Is it a roasted chestnut she just picked out of its shell, she'll give half of it to him, not to his hand though. She will put it directly into his mouth, and feel the touch of his lips on her fingers.

26. How are they with PDA?

Oh, definitely all over each other. Astarion was looking for someone like Lorelei for centuries, while it wasn't centuries for Lorelei, she was also looking for a partner in crime for about a decade. (She is 29 years old)

So once they found each other, there is no pausing that affection, much to Shadowheart's annoyance. She has many many comments and thoughts about how many times they just started kissing or made gooey eyes at each other, or talked dirty.

They will kiss, hug and play with each other's hair regardless of who is around them. And truth be told, Astarion loves showing her off. She's pretty, brave and she chose him! Of everyone around them. He saw the way the others looked at her, flirted with her and yet she chose him. He is not possessive or jealous but he is proud that she is with him and you bet he will show that off.

Lorelei is a little bit on the shy side but she loves it whenever he initiates something with her. She'll never pull back from him because there are people around, and annoying Shadowheart (affectionate) is definitely a plus for her.

My "Artist Ask" section. I answered some questions

dollyriot: 1. Do you prefer traditional drawing, or digital? - I prefer traditional drawing, plus I have no digital art equipment. 2. How long have you been drawing? - I’ve been drawing since Kindergarten, I didn’t start taking it seriously until after I graduated high school. It was mainly for fun. 3. How many classes have you taken? - I took Art classes in middle school, high school and in my first year of college. There were a couple of them I took outside of school. 4. Do you have a DeviantArt, personal website, or art blog? I have a Tumblr: “hiddenshadowsketch” and Instagram: “13luckythings” 5. What’s your favorite thing to draw? - My favorite thing to draw is mainly people. Before it was cartoon characters, now it’s mainly women sometimes. I never knew how to draw a woman for 17 years. 6. What’s your least favorite thing to draw? - The least favorite thing to draw is Animals and vehicles. 7. How often do you use references? - I use references in almost every drawing I do. From Calvin Klein to some musicians or figure poses and even Comic characters. 8. Do you draw professionally, or just for fun? - I mainly draw for fun, but now I’m training myself to do it professionally. But I still need tons of PRACTICE. 9. How much time do you spend drawing on an average day? - I mainly spend close to 2 -3 hours a day. Sometimes drawings do tend to move into the next day and I’ll continue then. 10. Are you confident about your art? - My confidence with art is 75/25.I usually like it from forming it in my mind, and If i can get it right, I’ll be happy. Sometimes, it won’t come out perfectly and if I does, there’s that small chance I won’t like it. 11. How many art-related blogs do you follow? At least over 100. 12. Is it okay for people to ask you about your process? - Yes I would be more than happy to answer any questions. Unfortunately, I don’t get a whole lot. I’m trying to change that though. If I can improve my talent, I know people would like to find out more about it. 13. Do you prefer to keep your art personal, or do you like drawing things for other people? - I prefer to keep it personal for now. Maybe someday, I’ll start doing collaborations, but I have to be ready for that experience and prepare for it as well. 14. Do you ever collaborate with others? - No I don’t. I would like to the future though. 15. How long does an average piece take you to complete? 16. Do you draw more today than you did in the past, or do you draw less? - Yes, I do in fact. Way more than the previous years. I can say around 2016, I would take my sketchbook with me almost everyday. But then around the time I re-enrolled in college, I took with me everyday also and tries to draw as much as possible. Now since the new year has come I draw almost everyday. 17. Do you think you’re justified in giving other people art advice? - No, not full advice. The most I can give is what to draw or what to practice on if they’re looking to improve. 18. What are you currently trying to improve on? - I’m trying to improve on drawing the human figure more effectively. Including the face and body. Another thing would be hair clothing. Also, too adding background to the drawing, instead of having a plain white background. 19. What is the most difficult thing for you to draw? - the most difficult thing to draw is Human figures( I.e. Hands, feet face). 20. What is the easiest thing for you to draw? - I wouldn’t say it’s easy for me. Its still a constant struggle of keeping up with practicing. 21. Do you like to challenge yourself? - I’m trying to challenge myself everyday, but school gets in the way and sometimes my perfectionist ways,I’ll usually want to get a drawing right then and there.(which is bad). 22. Are you confident that you’re improving steadily? Hmmm. Confident? I guess you can say here and there. Sometimes drawings don’t come out how I want them to look or come out at all. So, Steadily? Not so much. 23. Do you draw more fanart, or more original art? - I mainly do original art. Fan art never appealed to me. 24. Do you feel jealous when you see other people’s art, or inspired? (Be honest!) - Yes I do feel jealous. 100% true. It eats me up from the inside. I get depressed and sometimes i won’t want to draw for a day or two. But I’m also inspired by the more “talented and proficient” artists. It’s a way of telling me that If they can improve and be great so can I. 25. Do you like to draw in silence, or with music? - Usually i draw with music on. There are chill Hip-Hop or ambient music compilation video playlists on YouTube. 26. For digital artists: what program(s) do you use? - I don’t use digital art. 27. For digital artists: how many layers does a typical piece require? -Still, don’t use it. 28. For traditional artists: what medium do you like most? (Pencil, charcoals, etc) -The tools i use are drawing pencils(B- 4B), 0.5 mechanical pencils(for softness and light strokes and feel too), Micron Ink pens, Ohuhu Copic Markers and Pigma or Faber Castell brush pens or markers. 29. For traditional artists: How do you usually start on a big piece? (Light sketch, colored lead, sketchpaper, etc) - I start with a light sketch and then darken when it comes to detail. 30. What inspires you to not just make art, but to be a better artist? - What inspires me to make art? I guess I could say my influences(people i admire).Artists like Bill Sienkiewicz, Katsuhiro Otomo, Aaron Mcgruder, Carrol Jessen, Jamie Hewlett, Genndy Tartakovsky, Ralph Bakshi and Ezra Jack Keats. Another influential push would be movies, Fashion, tv shows or music. To be a better artist, I would say inspiration comes from, seeing other artists make great art and telling myself, I want to be that good! If not like that or at least better. It takes tons of practice and dedication, but I know I can do it. I have too many creative ideas to keep them contained.

Saw your reblog of the Tav Ask Meme! I'm curious about #5, #6 and #24 for Lorelei :)

Oh hey - thank you for the ask! Here is the post with the questions if somehow more people would like to ask!

#5 - Did your Tav have any formal or informal employment? If yes, what was their job? If no, how did they make ends meet? How did they feel about it?

She was a mercenary of some sorts. She was very popular amongst wizards and sorcerers of Baldur's Gate for her talents in acquiring rare, often enchanted items, whether that be a scroll or a magical ring. She often spent her time exploring dangerous old ruins, in and around Baldur's Gate.

She loves it. The danger and the thrill of exploration is what she always wanted to do with her life and it helps that those wizards pay, a lot.

#6 - Favourite childhood memory

If you ask her this, she'll have to think for a moment to find an actually good memory. She didn't really have a happy childhood. But probably her older brother gifting her her first short swords and short bow was the happiest memory she can think of. Same night when everyone was asleep he taught her how to use them. He left her in the morning but still, the memory and the lessons stayed with her.

#24 - What first impression does your Tav give off to strangers?

Oh this is a tough one. I'm going to say she looks confident and capable. If you have a job and the coin, you won't doubt if she can do it. She can.

However if she gets put on the spot the awkward blunt part comes out and that's how she ended up telling the tiefling kids that they were all going to die.

Ah this was so much fun to do! The last question gave me a pause ngl.
