the problem with pitts is that he's so fucking tall.

he's all knees and elbows, arms dangling at his sides when they walk so that his hand inevitably knocks into meeks', he's too tall for comfortably sharing their narrow welton beds; sharing them in a friendly way that doesn't mean meeks has to press his back to the wall to put at least some space between them, pittsie unbearably close and obliviously asleep, not aware that he's crowding into him.

he's too tall because he has to lower his face a little to properly look meeks in the eye, has to dip down in a way that does look like he's leaning in for a kiss, it does, meeks is not going crazy. and all he can do is lightly shove pittsie and laugh, laugh like he isn't thinking about how his shove can only ever reach pittsie's chest instead of the neutral space of his shoulder, meeks can only ever reach where pittsie is soft and warm and open, and when their knuckles brush he has to stare at the ground.

the problem is pitts is too fucking tall.

aw thanks anon!!! i do have a few things sitting in my drafts that i would love to (attempt to) finish because i miss writing, but i don't really have a lot of motivation as of late.

i do have a lot of ideas, like, i've been dying to explore adam/fulton. there's something about how their first interaction was fulton throwing adam/the hawks in the trash 😭but then they stick together once adam joins the team. like how did that come to be? did they kind of gravitate toward each other because the other ducks have known each other for longer, probably had their inside jokes and stuff, and adam/fulton felt like outsiders? i've always loved how fulton immediately defended adam vs portman in d2 despite the bash bros bonding/becoming friends. also this deleted montage from the D3 script:

So I recently went to the eye doctor and got my first ever glasses prescription (my eyes are mostly fine but sometimes street signs are hard to read when I’m driving until it’s too late and I’ve missed my turn) and then yesterday I went to Costco and ordered my new glasses, and I was SO tempted to get glasses that look like Akira’s like you have NO IDEA. ANNOUNCEMENT: I NO LONGER SHIP FRARNEY (Fred / Barney)

So I'll be honest. When I first got into the Flintstones fandom, I was incredibly young and naive. (For starters, I thought the show featured documentary footage of real cavemen, dinosaurs and prehistoric technology.) But over the years, as I got deeper into not just the series lore but also the behind-the-scenes aspects of the production, I began to realize that it was a just a cheaply animated knock-off of The Honeymooners and all the storylines were nothing more than stock mid-century sitcom plots mixed in with puns on the word 'stone.' The writers, tasked with churning out 30-episode seasons of childish drivel, would not have had the bandwidth to craft hidden messages to the show's audience about a secret love between two crudely drawn Neanderthals. Furthermore, as I began to question the validity of my once-cherished ship, I found myself under attack by increasingly toxic 'Dark Frarnies' who review-bombed my earlier fanfics into oblivion. The fact is, while shipping Fred and Barney may have brought me joy during a dark time in my life (I had recently been exiled from the Jetsons fandom for what was, in retrospect, a misguided pairing of Rosie the Robot and Astro the Dog) I just don't feel at home in the Frarney community anymore. And while it may be bittersweet to say goodbye, at least I can still find consolation in my folder with over 10,000 hyper-realistic, anatomically correct Scrooggi (Scrooge McDuck x Yogi Bear) drawings.
