Ngl. I am tempted to learn Blender in order to make MI-inspired cosmetics and upload them to the Steam Workshop to get them into TF2 for real lmao. Cuz like, ok. We already have faun feet for Scout, werewolf cosmetics for Demo, Engie's got plenty of cyborg stuff, Sniper doesn't need anything ofc, and Medic does technically have a wings cosmetic too.
But I would love to add in:
-a kitsune set for Spy (tails/ears, probably, maybe also the claws)
-give Medic better wings cuz the old ones are kinda cruddy, and also probably bird feet + hands, kinda like the Abhorrent Appendages for Pyro
-maybe a whole body replacement like the voodoo-cursed souls for Heavy, to make him look more Jotun
-maybe at least a stitched line around Soldier's neck to indicate it was cut off? Or you could have the whole head rotten above the line too. I feel like the collar would be too kinky for a general TF2 audience tho lol
-pyro would be another tough one, but maybe a whole head replacement that's just a will-o'-the-wisp ball of flame? I dunno if Valve would accept it tho, because 1) conflicts with Unusual effects, 2) class/team recognition issues, and 3) looks too much like the player is actually burning to death and needs to be extinguished, adding too much visual confusion and clutter. Still, something to think about.
Obvs most if not all of these would be Halloween-restricted, being such radical deviations from the mercs' normal appearances, but I still think it'd be really fun lol
AAAAA ANON I AM LOSING MY MIND (and have been for two days since I got this ask aaaaaahhhhh) I WOULD OWE YOU SOME KIND OF BLOOD DEBT YOU'RE AMAZING FOR EVEN THE THOUGHT ILU
So I know I've said it a brazillion times but Demo's werewolf cosmetics are actually the entire reason for MI! I was salty people kept writing Sniper as a werewolf but not Demo when dude was the one with cosmetics! That said I'd kill for something more lupine, less old-school Wolfman, but it would deffo be redundant. (I almost just used the comedy term "that would be putting a hat on a hat" but then I remembered that that's actually a cosmetic in TF2 so the phrase isn't exactly salient in this setting lol.)
My Scout loadout is the Hero's Tail, Baphomet's Trotters, and Antlers (I hate the dumb belt thing but it is what it is lol), so faun!Scout is deffo doable in the game. :3 And I plan on playing with the cyborg cosmetics that have been added to the game in later MI stuff eventually (spoilers? lol). I love the designs of those, building off of the chunky Gunslinger aesthetic and the designs of the sentries and dispensers and such, really really great holistic design philosophy out of the workshop creators who made those other pieces. They absolutely fuck.
But YEEEESSSSS a kitsune set for Spy would be the greatest thing ever ough. In my head I see it as the tails and a classic kitsune mask tilted to the side or up, with his eyes changed (orange-gold with slit pupils) and fangy teeth. And this one is the most blue-sky but if I could animate I'd do a taunt for him where he pulls a hoshitama out of his jacket pocket and does a little fushigi juggling with it before tucking it back away, lol.
Medic's little costume wings are cute (I deffo have a pair lol) but a nice big realistic set with bird feet and hands would be amazing! Ough WANT.
I like that idea for Heavy, since he's one of the hardest to represent in-game, since you can't change his size (he'd be the size of VSH Saxton if he were MI accurate lol). A full-body skin to give him that blueish gray skin, slightly pointed ears, and glowing eyes would be super cool. <3 Heavy's already so dreamy, it would be enchanting! Ooh part of the skin being the ring on his finger, too. :3
And lol yeah the collar on Soldier would almost assuredly be too kinky for general TF2. We couldn't even get Scout in a crop top (which is forever a tragedy). A rotten head could work, as would the neck scar, I think. Sadly straight up removing his head would not work from a gameplay perspective, lol. Unfair to Sniper players lmao. He's probably the hardest to convey.
For Pyro a will-o-wisp head would be most likely to actually get into the game, since the mystery of Pyro's face is The Joke. To make him MI authentic the way to do him would be to sculpt him a new head and face and stuff, and give him textures that make him look on fire, maybe a little flame effect animation atop it, plus some serious jiggle bones on his hair that keeps it in motion constantly. Make him a very mild light source. But, again, absolutely wouldn't get into the game lol.
And yeah they'd deffo be Halloween/Full Moon restricted, but tbh that makes a lot of sense anyway, lol. After all, they *are* monsters. :3
#Lightspeed Replies#Anonymous#Monstrous Intent#anon ilu just the thought is so sweet#and I love these ideas#I would gamble so many keys for those cosmetics lmao

Measures to Reduce Cement Caking in Storage
A company operates six cement storage silos. These silos feature a cylindrical steel and concrete structure. Each silo has a specification of ф18m×45m and can hold up to 10,000 tons of various types of cement according to market demand. The cement grinding system uses a combined grinding mode of "roller press + ball mill." The company offers both bagged and bulk shipping options.
Overview of Cement Caking Issues
During cement shipping and clearing, the company identified varying degrees of wall caking and cement caking in the silos. In some cases, the wall caking exceeded 0.5 meters. When the silos discharge, the cement often falls in large pieces and blocks the discharge outlet. This blockage interrupts the shipping process and requires clearing before resuming operations. During peak shipping seasons, caking reduces loading efficiency and affects customer satisfaction with cement quality.
Additionally, the storage space is limited, and the environment is complex. Narrow access passages create risks of falling objects, high dust levels, oxygen deficiency, mechanical injuries, and electrical hazards. These conditions pose significant health and safety risks to workers. While some cement plants have switched to mechanical clearing to replace manual methods, this approach significantly increases operational costs.
To reduce wall caking and cement caking during discharge, the company analyzed the causes and implemented targeted measures across various stages, including storage, transportation, grinding operations, management, and discharge control. These measures have achieved positive results.
Analysis of Cement Caking Causes
Cement is a hydraulic binding material. Its hydration characteristics are the main reason for caking in storage. Ideally, lower moisture content in cement is preferable. However, high moisture levels often result from excess moisture in mixed materials and water introduced during production and transportation. Therefore, controlling moisture levels during production and transportation, managing storage time effectively, and applying anti-caking treatments to silo walls are crucial for addressing cement caking issues.
Common Problems and Production Measures
The cement production process includes various stages: material storage, batching and transportation, grinding systems, product transportation, silo tops, interiors, bottoms, and discharge. Below are common issues and corresponding production measures for each stage:
1. Material Storage Problems
Outdoor Storage: Ensure mixed materials are stored indoors to reduce moisture through natural drying.
Design Deficiencies: Use a zone-based stacking strategy and implement a first-in, first-out system to maintain material quality.
Raw Material Quality Control: Strictly monitor the quality of incoming materials to prevent substandard materials from entering.
2. Batch Transportation Problems
Rain Protection: Ensure the sealing of transportation corridors and dust collection systems to prevent rainwater leakage.
Air Moisture Control: Regularly clean oil-water filters and drain water from air storage tanks.
3. Grinding System Problems
Cold Air Valve Design: Install rain covers to prevent water ingress.
Moisture Control: Adjust the mixture of materials according to seasonal climate conditions to keep finished cement moisture ≤0.5%.
4. Finished Product Transportation Problems
Sealing of Transport Chutes: Ensure the transportation system is sealed to prevent moisture entry.
Dust Collection System Check: Regularly inspect the sealing of the dust collection system to ensure optimal performance.
5. Silo Top Problems
Waterproofing Measures: Regularly check and repair waterproofing facilities on the silo tops.
Negative Pressure Control: Maintain the negative pressure of the dust collector on top of the silo within a reasonable range to prevent caking.
6. Silo Interior Problems
Storage Time Management: Reduce storage amounts in winter to avoid prolonged storage.
Caking Issues: Use new materials like nano-ceramic anti-corrosion membranes to minimize wall adhesion.
7. Silo Bottom Problems
Electric Ball Valve Malfunctions: Conduct regular maintenance to ensure proper operation and prevent dead zones.
Chute Inspection: Promptly replace damaged tarpaulins to ensure smooth transportation.
8. Discharge Problems
Adding Lump Breakers: Install lump breakers below discharge gates to break up caked cement into smaller chunks for smooth transport.

Conclusion
By implementing these targeted measures, the company significantly reduced cement caking in storage. They effectively controlled moisture in mixed materials, enhanced rain protection design, and utilized high-discharge-rate silos. These efforts ensured the smooth discharge of cement. In recent years, the frequency of caking incidents has decreased dramatically, ensuring efficient production and enhancing market competitiveness.

—
What is a Small Ball Valve
A small ball valve is a quarter-turn valve that uses a hollow, perforated ball to control fluid flow. When the valve handle is turned 90 degrees, the ball rotates to align its bore with the pipeline (open position) or block it completely (closed position). These valves are characterized by their compact size, lightweight design, and ease of operation, making them perfect for tight spaces or applications requiring frequent adjustments.

Key advantages of small ball valves include:
- Leak-proof sealing for reliable performance. - Quick shutoff with minimal torque. - Versatility in handling liquids, gases, and corrosive media. - Low maintenance due to simple construction.

Duplex Ball Valve: A Comprehensive Guide
An industrial valve recognized for its exceptional strength, resistance to corrosion, and longevity is the Duplex Ball Valve, which is composed of duplex stainless steel. It is frequently utilized in severe settings, including the desalination, chemical processing, oil and gas, and marine industries.
1. What is a Duplex Ball Valve?
A ball valve is a quarter-turn valve that uses a revolving ball with a bore to regulate fluid flow. The valve is open while the ball's bore lines up with the pipeline; it closes the flow when it is rotated 90 degrees.
A ball valve composed of duplex stainless steel, which has a balanced microstructure of ferrite and austenite, is referred to as a "duplex ball valve." This material is stronger and more resistant to corrosion, particularly when it comes to stress corrosion cracking caused by chloride.
2. Why Choose a Duplex Ball Valve?
Advantages of Duplex Stainless Steel in Ball Valves
✔ Superior Corrosion Resistance – Ideal for marine and chemical applications. ✔ Higher Strength – Twice as strong as standard austenitic stainless steels like 304 or 316. ✔ Good Weldability – Suitable for complex pipeline installations. ✔ Resistance to Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC) – Performs well in high-pressure and chloride-rich environments. ✔ Longer Service Life – Reduces maintenance and replacement costs.
3. Applications of Duplex Ball Valves
Industries Using Duplex Ball Valves
Oil & Gas – Handles high-pressure and corrosive fluids.
Chemical Processing – Resists chemical attacks and high temperatures.
Marine & Shipbuilding – Withstands seawater exposure.
Desalination Plants Prevents corrosion in saltwater environments.
Pulp & Paper Industry – Manages aggressive chemicals and high wear.
4. Types of Duplex Ball Valves
Floating Ball Valve – Suitable for low- to medium-pressure applications.
Trunnion-Mounted Ball Valve – Used for high-pressure systems due to additional ball support.
Full Port vs. Reduced Port – Full port provides unrestricted flow, while reduced port limits flow slightly.
Two-Piece, Three-Piece, or Welded Body – Varies based on maintenance and installation needs.
5. Key Considerations When Selecting a Duplex Ball Valve
✅ Material Grade – Common grades include Duplex 2205 and Super Duplex 2507. ✅ Pressure Rating – Choose based on system pressure requirements. ✅ Temperature Range – Ensure compatibility with operating conditions. ✅ End Connections – Threaded, flanged, or welded depending on the pipeline. ✅ Certifications – Look for API, ASME, and ISO compliance for quality assurance.
Conclusion
Duplex Ball Valves offer a perfect balance of strength, corrosion resistance, and durability, making them ideal for demanding industrial applications. Choosing the right type and grade ensures efficiency and longevity in aggressive environments.

Guide to choosing the right ball valve for your project
Parth Valves and Hoses LLP, a trusted provider of high-quality hygienic valves, FDA hoses, and dampers, understands the critical role fluid control plays in various industries. Selecting the right valve is essential for ensuring efficient, safe, and reliable operations. This comprehensive guide focuses on ball valves, providing in-depth insights into their functionality, types, applications, and key considerations for choosing the perfect valve for your specific project.
What is a Ball Valve?
A ball valve is a quarter-turn rotational valve that utilizes a hollow, spherical ball to control the flow of liquids or gases. The ball has a bore (a hole through its center) that allows or blocks flow depending on its position. When the bore is aligned with the flow direction, the valve is open, allowing unimpeded flow. A simple 90-degree rotation of the ball, typically using a lever or handle, positions the solid part of the ball to block the flow path, effectively closing the valve and creating a tight seal.

Ball Valves
Advantages of Ball Valves:
Ball valves offer several advantages that make them a popular choice in various industrial applications:
Quick and Easy Operation: The quarter-turn operation enables rapid opening and closing, making them ideal for emergency shut-off situations and processes requiring frequent on/off control.
Excellent Shut-Off Capability: When closed, ball valves provide a reliable and leak-tight seal, preventing leakage and ensuring efficient flow isolation.
Durability and Reliability: With relatively few moving parts, ball valves are known for their robust construction, minimal maintenance requirements, and long service life.
Versatility: Ball valves can handle a wide range of fluids and gases, including corrosive chemicals, making them suitable for diverse industrial applications.
Compact Design: Their compact design makes them suitable for installations with limited space.
Cost-Effectiveness: Compared to some other valve types like gate or globe valves, ball valves often offer a more cost-effective solution for many applications.
Types of Ball Valves:
Different types of ball valves are available to suit various applications:
One-Piece Ball Valves: These are the most economical type, typically used for low-pressure applications.
Two-Piece Ball Valves: Offer greater versatility and can be easily disassembled for cleaning or maintenance.
Three-Piece Ball Valves: Provide easy access to internal components for maintenance and repair, making them suitable for demanding applications.
Multi-Port Ball Valves: These valves have three or more ports, allowing for complex flow control and diversion.
Key Considerations When Choosing a Ball Valve:
Selecting the appropriate ball valve is crucial for optimal performance, safety, and longevity. Consider the following factors:
Material Compatibility: The valve body, ball, and seals must be chemically compatible with the media being handled. Common materials include:
Stainless Steel: Offers excellent corrosion resistance and is suitable for food processing, chemical, and pharmaceutical applications.
Brass: Cost-effective for water and other non-corrosive media.
PVC: Suitable for corrosive applications at lower temperatures and pressures.
Pressure and Temperature Ratings: The ball valve must be rated to handle the maximum operating pressure and temperature of the system.
Port Configuration: Choose the appropriate port configuration (2-way, 3-way, etc.) based on the specific flow control requirements of your system.
Valve Size: Proper sizing is crucial to ensure optimal flow rates and minimize pressure drop.
End Connections: Select end connections (threaded, flanged, welded) compatible with the piping system.
Actuation: Consider the actuation method based on control needs: manual, electric, or pneumatic.
Seat and Seal Materials: The seat and seal materials (e.g., PTFE, Viton) must be compatible with the media and operating temperature.
