"Are we talking about the spies?"

Poke and Penny looked over at who spoke. "Oh speak of the devil. Hi Nayun!"

Nayun gave a small wave as she walked over. "Hey guys! I heard there was a meeting, and I slipped out for it."

Penny raised an eyebrow curiously. "I heard that security is tight around the resistance base... how'd you get out?"

Nayun shrugged with a happy smile on her face. "Told them I needed to use the bathroom, and left with another spy. The meeting said we all had to be there, so I didn't want to miss it."

Poke laughed. "Ah the old "I gotta piss" excuse. Surprised it worked for ya. How are they holding up in there?"

"Well, let's just say that if we invaded their hideout now it'd be a blessing for them." Nayun explained. "They aren't worried about water, but they're slowly running out of food. Paranoia's at an all time high too. I think the captivity is getting to them."

Both Poke and Penny winced. "Ouch." Poke said, quickly checking the time on her phone. "Well, we should probably head to the meeting now. Looks like it's about to start."

Oh to be Miguel’s housewife…

I’d love to make him all sorts of extravagant breakfasts before he’s even awake.

Have his babies, go grocery shopping with him in the evenings and making dinner together.

Wearing cute little aprons while cooking, to kiss him goodbye and take his coat once he’s back from work. Putting little notes in his lunches. Or even just rubbing his shoulders before going to bed…

Imagine Miguel being your househusband though…

Imagine being that much as a boss ass babe your husband, who once used to have a much higher paying job, approaches you and suggests HE stays home to take care of the children and house.

Imagine how lovely he’d look, his tummy and pelvis pudgy, face slightly hairy from forgetting to shave the past couple of days.

Imagine him making you a drink after a long day working. Him wearing an apron splattered with kids snail trails, yesterday’s dinner ingredients, paint and crayola markers.

So, so tired from taking care of yours and his babies, but always happy to greet you and help you out of your heels and tell you when dinners gonna be ready.

Watching him tuck the babies in, reading them stories and doing silly voices to make them giggle.

He’d groan like a bear just waking up from hibernation when he’s finally crawling into bed. Sure he’s exhausted, but he’s got enough energy to scoop you up by your waist and pull you to his side to fall asleep curled up against you.

See, here is my problem: I have never understood the concept of fluff as comfort, at least for like, worry and sadness. Fluff is like, for if I am tired or not feeling well (and even then I tend to go for not that intellectually demanding but not Pure Sugar), but when I think back to my comfort rewatches when I have genuinely been going through it and sad (normal) or Sad (Actual Depression) they've often been like, bittersweet. I find Overwhelmingly Happy Everything's Ok to ring false, no matter my mood, and even if I'm watching something about gods and dragons and wizards, as I often am, I need that groundedness in reality, of things being kind of bad but ending up with something meaningful and hopeful. Honestly, a lot of my comfort watches or reads are about a death, literal or figurative, and people picking up after that (with the loss still standing). "Everything will be okay and none of the bad things will have mattered" does not comfort me in the slightest; "things have been terrible and gotten better and the way this pain will change you will not destroy you" does.

IT'S REALLY NOT MUCH 😭😭 just cbat music going off in my head as i picture joe burrow finishing up his presser and standing up looking to the left to see ja'marr standing waiting propped up ready to take his place and deliberately making eye contact in his stupid fucking tank top and ripped hearts jeans and pale shoulders and red nose and pale eyes and isn't he fucking freezing is what i'm asking here how well insulated is the paycor stadium really.

anyway deliberate eye contact this is important we know how much joe toes the line between staring people down with uncomfortable intensity (that ja'marr has learned to just roll with over the years) and inability to stare at ja'marr for more than a few beats per minute when they're flirting (see: titans mic'ed up) and goes to step right on the edge of the podium right across from ja'marr trying to haul himself up it but he's kind of blocked by this already-taller-than-him-but-made-taller-by-the-podium douche who's taking way too long to move out of the way.

no idea how the height difference would be affected by the podium but let's say ja'marr's face is level with joe's sternum. he looks down and joe's offering up his pinky, answers it with his own but joe doesn't let go immediately. stares back up in askance but joe's still staring him down and ja'marr's just caught in his eyes immediately, unable to look away. and they just. spend a Moment staring into each other's eyes. in front of all those reporters. hobs is beside himself with joy. yeah.

the pr person in charge of them coughs loud and pointed and joe finally lets go and moves to get off the podium. makes sure to brush his bare arm not hard but purposefully against ja'marr's own clothed arm, makes sure his physical presence is felt and he can absorb some of the heat ja'marr puts out (again is he not fucking cold. the hell.).

ja'marr finally sits and greets the reporters and this might just be a coincidence lmao but he was kind of stone faced the first few minutes of the interview. hot and bothered no?

anyway walks out of the media room and the coast is clear which he's surprised at bc he's lowkey expecting to get ambushed like. within minutes. so that's a disappointing turn of events but he walks off to the parking lot anyway bc he's changed and all his stuff is in his car and boom when he gets there joe's in his car patiently waiting for him and fiddling with his radio.

'did you swipe my keys?' 'yeah, get in, why do you always take so long for pressers. quit having so much fun with it.' 'are you fucking serious. get out.' 'no way in hell you're driving me, get in.' 'it's my car what is the matter with you get out.' 'no just get in ja'marr i wanna fuck.' ja'marr gets in the passenger seat.

super hilarious idea that joe can pickpocket people with high success tbh. or maybe ja'marr's just used to his hands on him idk. his keys were in his back pocket so.

also there were several other teammates in the parking lot starting up their own cars to get home watching the interaction long-sufferingly lmao. you know how loud ja'marr gets.

Another little sketch of this politely-speaking robot that is not up to anything malicious. It's very likely his usual formalities, but Juno was also talking to a higher-ranking Unit than him that he ends up apologizing twice. It makes me wonder what the relations, however much there was, between him and Trigger could've been like.

. . . And also, I was focused on Juno's sweet little face and mouth shape again. When Juno is not smiling, his mouth still appears very soft in a way that makes me want to gently press a finger to it.
