in which, you and harry decided to go for a little family holiday to start the new year off on the right foot, and went to a caribbean island, where your just trying to enjoy yourselves, and spend some quality time with your two children, when a couple of fans spot your husband.

As the first light of the new year streamed through the curtains, you woke up to the sweet realization that your partner had planned a surprise holiday to the Caribbean.

The joy in your heart was mirrored in the excited expressions of Kai, your energetic five-year-old, and little Lexi, who had just turned six months old. The promise of sun-soaked beaches and turquoise waters made the early morning hustle of packing bags and herding the family to the airport an adventure in itself.

Arriving at your tropical destination, the sound of gentle waves and the warmth of the sun embraced you. The resort's palm-fringed surroundings set the stage for a family retreat filled with laughter and cherished moments.

The holiday would be lasting a total of two weeks and so far the four of you had been there for four out of a possible fourteen.

The first day was spent chilling and getting the kids into a routine, the second day was filled with sunbathing and the third day you took the kids to do some activities so that they wouldn’t get too bored.

It was the afternoon of the fourth day at the resort, for a majority of the morning you had all gone for a walk, trying to get your bearings of where you were going to be staying.

It was nearing one pm now, and the four of you were making your way to the hotel outdoor restaurant, where other families, friends and couples were currently sat, all decked out in summer clothes just like you and your family were.

The rhythmic roll of the stroller, carrying the enchanting Lexi, created a soothing background to the lively atmosphere. Harry, with Kai perched on his shoulders, exuded paternal pride as his son's tiny fingers playfully explored the newly sprouting hair after a recent buzz cut.

The infectious giggles from Kai echoed through the space, forming a symphony of joy that seemed to harmonize with the clinking of cutlery and murmurs of other guests.

Just moments later, a courteous waiter approached, exuding the charm of the Caribbean hospitality.

"Good afternoon! Can I start you off with some drinks?" he inquired with a warm smile.

Harry, with a chuckle, ordered a beer for himself, emphasising that it was a well-deserved vacation treat.

Kai, his eyes sparkling, announced proudly, "Chocolate milkshake, please!"

You joined in, opting for a refreshing mojito to complement the tropical ambiance. The waiter, noting down the orders, promised to return shortly with the concoctions that would add an extra layer of delight to your family gathering.

The backdrop of the restaurant's tropical charm provided the perfect setting for a moment of connection.

"This surprise vacation was a brilliant idea," you remarked, a smile playing on your lips.

Harry, his eyes filled with satisfaction, responded, "M’figured we all needed a break, and what better way t’start the year?"

Kai, still perched atop his father's shoulders, chimed in, "I like the beach, Mommy! Can we build a sandcastle tomorrow?"

His enthusiasm was infectious, prompting laughter from both you and Harry.

"Absolutely, buddy! We'll build the biggest sandcastle the beach ‘as ever seen," Harry promised, ruffling Kai's hair.

November 2019, you gave birth to Kai Robin Styles, at a home birth in yours and Harry’s London home.

As the conversation continued, you found yourselves reflecting on the year that had passed and the excitement of what lay ahead.

“ ‘Member when Lex was just a tiny bump?" Harry mused, glancing affectionately at your baby girl. "Now look at her, enjoying her first vacation. Time really does fly,"

You had gone into Labour with Lexi Anne Styles after Harry’s Show in Warsaw, the birth wasn’t very traumatic but the fact that you have birth in the backstage area of a stadium add a million different stress levels.

The waiter returned with a tray of drinks, delivering a frothy beer for Harry, a velvety chocolate milkshake for Kai, and a refreshing mojito for yourself.

The clinking of glasses marked the beginning of a shared toast.

"To family adventures and new beginnings," Harry proposed, raising his beer.

It wasn’t long before you had placed your food orders, and then it was back to chit chatting.

Lexi began to express her hunger with soft whimpers from the comfort of her stroller. Harry, always attuned to his children's needs, suggested, "Looks like someone's ready f’a meal. How about I feed her?"

Agreeing with a smile, you watched affectionately as Harry gently lifted Lexi from the stroller. With practised ease, he retrieved the pre-made bottle from the baby bag. Cradling Lexi in his arms, he began a tender dialogue, showering her with words of endearment.

"Y’know, Love bug, y’the most perfect baby in the world. Mom and I are so lucky t’have you," he whispered, his words infused with a genuine warmth that mirrored the love you both felt for your little one.

As Harry spoke to Lexi, your gaze shifted to Kai, who was deeply immersed in coloring his book. His tiny fingers danced across the paper, creating vibrant strokes that mirrored the lively atmosphere of the Caribbean surroundings. The restaurant transformed into a canvas of family moments — the quiet focus of an older brother, the nurturing presence of a father, and the unspoken connection between mother and daughter.

Amidst the lively ambiance of the restaurant, you couldn't help but notice a group of girls at a nearby table who seemed to have recognized your husband. Whispers and excited glances were exchanged among them, and you could see them mustering the courage to approach him for a photo.

Sensing their intentions, you leaned in to Harry and discreetly warned him about the approaching fangirls.

Harry, with a resigned sigh, glanced over his shoulder and nodded.

"Just ignore ‘em, love. It happens," he reassured you, his eyes reflecting the weariness of a man accustomed to such encounters.

The prospect of being in the spotlight, even during a family dinner, was not a new experience for him. Grateful that your kids were facing away, oblivious to the attention, you both focused on enjoying the moment together as a family.

As the girls behind you worked up the courage to approach, you and Harry engaged in casual conversation, attempting to divert attention from the brewing fan encounter.

"Remember that time in Paris?" you teased, trying to lighten the mood. Harry chuckled, because he knew exactly what you were talking about.

"Good times," he agreed, sharing a smile with you, appreciating the effort to shield your family from the attention that occasionally came with his public persona.

“H, there definitely coming.”

Harry, glancing over his shoulder, nodded in acknowledgment.

"Yeah, I see them. Just give them a friendly smile if they approach, and I'll handle it. S’not let it bother us," he suggested, his voice carrying a hint of resignation.

He was no stranger to such encounters, having navigated the challenges of fame before. The weariness in his eyes reflected a desire for a quiet family dinner undisturbed by fan interactions.

The restaurant buzzed with activity as the group of excited fans approached your table.

"Harry, we're such huge fans! Can we get a quick photo and an autograph?" one of them eagerly requested, holding out a notepad and a pen.

With a gracious smile, Harry acknowledged their enthusiasm.

"M’grateful f’your support, but at the moment, we're trying to have a quiet family dinner, so I won't be able to do autographs right now," he gently explained, a polite refusal delivered with a sense of understanding.

Despite his explanation, the fans persisted, urging for both a photo and an autograph. The atmosphere at the table shifted as Lexi, nestled in Harry's lap, started to express her unease with a few whimpers.

Sensing his sister's discomfort, Kai moved closer to your side, seeking comfort in the familiar presence of family. Harry, noticing the subtle disruption, addressed the fans with empathy.

The fans, eager to capture a moment with their idol, continued to press for both a photo and an autograph. Harry, maintaining his composure, gently reiterated, "I really appreciate y’support, but right now, We're just trying t’enjoy a family dinner without any interruptions."

The fans, realizing the impact on the children, paused for a moment. Harry, sensing the need to reinforce the boundary, continued,

"Thanks for understanding." His words were delivered with a blend of gratitude and a protective instinct for his family.

As the fans reluctantly stepped back, a mix of disappointment and understanding painted their expressions. Your family returned to the rhythm of your evening, attempting to reclaim the sense of tranquillity that had been momentarily disrupted. Lexi, still cradled in Harry's arms, gradually settled, comforted by the familiar presence of her parents and brother.

Harry, with a reassuring smile, turned his attention back to the dinner table.

"Sorry about that, m’love," he whispered to you, the gentle apology carrying the weight of the delicate balancing act that came with his fame.

"It's alright," you responded, understanding the complexities of navigating public and private moments.

Kai, sensing the shift in the atmosphere, looked up from his colouring book with a curious expression.

"Why did those people want pictures, Mommy?" he asked, his innocent curiosity breaking the momentary tension.

You looked down to his eye level, offering a simple yet honest explanation, "Sometimes, people recognize Daddy from his work, and they want to say hello or take a picture because they really like what he does."

Harry, appreciating your delicate handling of the situation, chimed in,

"That's right, buddy. Daddy's work makes people happy, and sometimes they just want to share that happiness with us."

Sensing his sons discomfort, Harry gently ushered him over, placing him on the other side of his lap.

"Hey, Kai, come here, sweet boy," Harry said softly, creating a protective space for him. As Kai nestled in closer,

Harry continued, "I want you t’know that no matter what happens, Daddy will always keep you safe. Those moments might be a bit strange, but we're a team, okay?"

Kai, his big brown eyes searching for reassurance, nodded in understanding. "

Team," he echoed, a small smile breaking through the remnants of unease.

Harry wrapped his arm around Kai, holding him close to his chest.

"Exactly, little man. We're a team, and nothing will ever change that," Harry affirmed, his voice a soothing melody of love and comfort.

Usually held in the two weeks after the Olympic Games in the same host city, the Paralympics showcase the best athletes with physical disabilities from around the world competing for their home countries. (The Paralympics are not to be confused with the Special Olympics, which feature athletes with intellectual disabilities.) This year, the Summer Paralympics will take place from August 28 to September 8 in Paris, France.

Quick history lesson: The origins of the Paralympics began shortly after World War II, during the 1948 London Olympics, where 16 wheelchair-using veterans participated. The first official Paralympic Games took place in Rome in 1960 and featured 400 athletes from 23 countries. Since then, the Games have taken place every four years and now feature 4,400 athletes in 22 sports (the Olympics have 32), with 549 gold medals up for grabs.

There are athletes competing from 177 countries (this year’s Olympics had athletes from 184 countries), including 10 countries that have never been represented in the Paralympic Games before, along with representation from the Neutral and Refugee teams. In case you missed it, at the last Paralympics in Tokyo, China earned the most medals, with Great Britain behind it and the US in third.

Since the 1988 Summer Games and the 1992 Winter Games, the Olympic and Paralympic Games have been held in the same cities and venues. Although Paralympians still strive for equal treatment as Olympic athletes without disabilities, there is a large gap in funding between the Olympics and Paralympics.

Where to Watch

This year’s Games will make history as the first Paralympic Games to offer live coverage of every one of the 22 sports played. Like the Olympics, every event at the Paralympics will be available to stream on Peacock if you’re in the US.

If you prefer going old school and watching on basic cable, a select number of events will be airing on the NBC channels NBC, CNBC, and USA Network, along with E!, Golf Channel, and Telemundo, which offers coverage in Spanish. In an effort to make the Games more accessible, closed captioning will be available for every Paralympic event (regardless of the platform). You can also watch highlights and athlete interviews on Paralympic.org.

In the UK, Channel 4 has more than 1,300 hours of live coverage scheduled. Folks can also watch through their streaming service or Channel 4 Sport’s YouTube channel, which will show the entirety of the Games for the first time. BBC, BBC Radio 5 Live, and the BBC Sport website will also air highlights and select coverage. The Paralympics website also has a complete list of where to watch by country.

Opening Ceremony

The Opening Ceremony will begin August 28 at 8 pm Paris time, 7 pm BST, 2 pm EDT, and 11 am PDT. Similar to the Olympics opening ceremony, the Paralympics opening ceremony will be held outside of a stadium at one of the major squares in Paris, Place de la Concorde, and the iconic avenue Champs-Élysées will be transformed into the opening ceremony stage.

The competition starts the following day, on August 29, at 11 am EDT (8 am PDT). Like with the Paris Olympics, the start times will be similarly early and continue throughout the day. The specific timing of some of the events might change, so check the schedule of events on the Olympics' Paralympics schedule webpage.

Blind Football (Soccer)

Blind football is an adaptation of football (or soccer, if you’re American) for athletes with vision impairment played with an audible ball. This men’s competition starts early on September 1 and continues on September 2, 3 and 5, with the gold medal match on Saturday, September 7.

Boccia

Boccia is one of only two sports with no Olympic equivalent. It was originally created for athletes in wheelchairs who have impaired motor function or coordination. To win, each team must get the most balls closest to the white ball called the jack, with athletes allowed to make modifications according to their needs. Men’s and women’s individual games start August 29 and go through September 1, with the gold medal individual matches on September 1 and 2. Mixed pairs and teams start September 3, with gold mixed pairs and teams matches on September 5.

Goalball

The other sport of the Paralympic Games without an Olympic equivalent, goalball is a team sport for the visually impaired and blind, in which players wear special black eye-covering-type glasses so they fully can’t see and are thus more equitable (and honestly, look cool as hell). If there’s anything that the Olympic Games have taught us, it’s that the people go crazy for some out-of-the-norm eyewear. The audience needs to stay as quiet as possible because the ball has bells inside. Thus, the athletes have to rely solely on sound, while they use their whole body to try to block the ball from making it inside the goal. (Lets see Neymar try to do that.) Men’s and women’s games start August 29 with the gold medal games for both on September 5.

Para Archery

The first game played at the early iteration of the Paralympics in 1948, para archery now has men and women’s individual and mixed teams, with wheelchair or standing, and with recurve and compound bows used. Men’s and women’s individual events begin August 29 and continue through September 5, with gold medal matches in individual, teams and with different bows across multiple days.

Para Athletics

One of the most beloved sports in the Paralympics is para athletics, which has been a popular fixture in the games since the inaugural Rome Games in 1960. Today, it spans a wide range of track, jumping, and throwing events, as well as marathons. Because of the wide range of men’s and women’s events, competition begins on August 30 and happens daily with gold medal matches until the Games end on September 8. Check the full para athletics schedule for more specific events’ times.

Para Badminton

Para badminton debuted at Tokyo 2020, although it has been hugely popular for decades. Like badminton, players compete as singles and pairs, as well as standing and in wheelchairs. Group play begins on August 29, with men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles beginning August 31. Gold medal matches take place September 1 and 2.

Para Canoe

The Paralympic Canoe competition features two types of boats: the kayak and va’a (traditionally used in Oceania for travel between islands). Para canoes are basically the same as those used in the Olympic Games, but just have a wider bottom for greater stability. The races begin September 6 with gold medal games on September 7 and 8.

Para Road Cycling

Throughout the years, like many other events, Paralympic cycling has grown to adapt to many disabilities, and uses standard bicycles, handcycles, tricycles, and tandems. In road cycling, there are road races, time trials, and relay events. Both the men and women’s individual and relay events and gold medal races take place daily September 4 through 7.

Para Track Cycling

Para  track cycling is similar to road cycling but takes place on a velodrome track (as the name suggests). Competition is divided into time trials, individual, and tandem or team sprints, using standard bicycles and tandems (all of which can be adapted for the specific athlete). The various track cycling events and gold medal races take place simultaneously August 29 to September 1.

Para Equestrian

Unlike the three equestrian events at the Olympic Games, the Paralympic equestrian program only includes the dressage competition. Para dressage essentially focuses on how well the rider and horse gel, with riders judged on their riding and performance with the horse. All the events are individual mixed, and each competition has gold medal rounds, taking place August 3, 4, 6 and 7.

Para Judo

Para judo is one of two martial arts competitions at the Games. The Paralympics judo follows the same rules as its Olympic equivalent, except it’s practiced exclusively by athletes with vision impairments—and is way more badass, in my humble opinion. (I think I’m allowed to make that assertion since I’m also disabled, don’t come for me.) With the athletes unable to see their opponent, they must use their sense of touch and careful listening—including slight differences in breathing and movement—to sense what their rival may do next. Men’s and women’s matches take place September 5, 6, and 7 and have gold medal matches at the end of each day.

Para Powerlifting

Para powerlifting is a men’s and women’s bench press competition that tests upper body strength where the athletes compete in different weight categories. All of the events are individual and there are gold medal rounds for each competition (which varies by gender and weight class) taking place September 4 to 8.

Para Rowing

A relatively new sport, rowing debuted at the Paralympic Games in 2008. Now, there are five rowing events, including three mixed events. Para rowing rules are nearly identical to those at the Olympics and rowers are eligible for different events according to their gender and impairment categories. The races begin across all categories on August 30, continue to August 31, with final gold medal rounds on September 1.

Para Swimming

Para swimming has remained one of the most enduring sports in the Paralympics since its debut at the Rome Games in 1960. Its popularity is due in part because athletes with all kinds of physical and mental disabilities can participate and doesn’t require any specific equipment. (Prosthetics aren’t allowed either.) Featuring different swims at different distances, athletes compete in breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly, freestyle, and medley. As one of the most popular sports, there are men’s, women’s, and mixed events virtually nonstop with gold medal races near the end of every day, August 29 until September 7.

Para Table Tennis

One of the OG Paralympian games, table tennis actually has a longer history in the Paralympic Games than its Olympic counterpart. When it began, it was only open to wheelchair users, although today athletes are placed into 11 different classes based on their physical and intellectual impairments. Men’s and women’s doubles, singles and mixed games take place August 29 to September 7, with gold medal games every day except September 2.

Para Taekwondo

Para taekwondo is a new competition that made its Paralympic debut at the Tokyo Games. Focused on athletes with upper limb impairments, they are split into two sports classes and divided into weight categories. Men and women compete August 29 to 31, with gold medal matches at the end of each day.

Para Triathlon

A relatively new sport introduced at the 2016 Rio Games, the para triathlon is held over the “sprint” distance, which is half the Olympic distance for individual competitions, where athletes swim 750 meters, cycle 20 kilometers, and run 5 kilometers. The competition is divided by men’s and women’s, with medals being awarded for each race September 1 and 2.

Shooting Para Sport

Shooters compete in rifle and pistol events from distances of 10-meter, 25-meter, and 50-meter in men’s, women’s, and mixed fields. Depending on needs, athletes compete in a kneeling position, prone, or standing (or in a wheelchair or shooting seat). The games take place August 30 to September 5, with medals awarded each day.

Sitting Volleyball

Sitting volleyball is pretty much the exact same as the volleyball we know and love, except as the name suggests, is a sitting variation of the sport. It’s played by two teams of six players who move around the court using the power of their arms, along with a lowered net that’s 3 feet high. The games start on August 29 and continue until the men’s gold medal game on September 6 and the women’s on September 7.

Wheelchair Basketball

Originally used for rehabilitation and exercise for World War II veterans—wheelchair basketball is quintessential Paralympics. Now, it’s one of the most popular and beloved sports for wheelchair users around the world. Games start August 29 and go until the men’s gold medal match September 7, with the women’s September 8.

Wheelchair Fencing

What’s more badass than fencing? Wheelchair fencing. In this sport that requires discipline (and ability to not flinch when a sword is coming at you), athletes compete in a special wheelchair frame designed for the sport which is fastened to the floor—meaning the fencers cannot move and are always close to their opponent. Just like the Olympic equivalent, wheelchair fencing consists of three disciplines: foil, épée, and saber. The men’s and women’s matches take place September 3 to 7, with gold medal rounds at the end of every day.

Wheelchair Rugby

Wheelchair rugby is a four-person team sport played in specially designed wheelchairs. It combines elements of rugby, basketball, and handball, with players using a round ball. Because it’s such an aggressive sport, it’s often referred to as “murderball.” Need I say more? You’re gonna wanna watch this one. Mixed games start August 29, with the gold medal games September 2.

Wheelchair Tennis

Wheelchair tennis pretty much follows the same rules of able-bodied tennis, except here the ball can bounce twice before the player hits it back. Athletes are divided into open and quad classes, along with men’s, women’s, singles, and doubles. Games start August 30, with gold medal matches September 4 to 7.

About hints and patterns

Throughout the history of GGDD, we have noticed that they sometimes act as messenger birds for each other - one hints at some event, and then it happens to other. This is a direct hint.

But there is another type of hints - when the event that one of them hints at has already happened before, but we don’t know about it yet and don't understand this hint. But then the other person tells us about this event, and only then does it become clear to us that the hint has already been made. If we don't consider this a coincidence, then we will have to admit that such information could have been known to another person only through personal communication, because it was not publicly known about it.

I want to recall a few examples of such cases, they occurred over a not very long period of time - less than a year.

DD's “Water show” — GG's vlog

On July 10, 2023, the event was held in Beijing dedicated to the premiere of One and only. DD participated in it, he danced and splashed water on the audience. While dansing DD made a couple of gestures that the turtles paid attention to - the “figure eight” and the famous “chongya” gesture. Everyone, of course, remembered the meaning of these gestures and was glad that DD made them. But then it turned out that he did them for a reason.

On July 11, GG’s vlog was released, and suddenly both of these gestures appeared in this vlog. Can this be considered two coincidences that occurred within 24 hours?

No one, of course, knew in advance what would be in GG’s vlog, the vlog was filmed a long time ago, but it turns out that DD knew this the day before the vlog was released.

Leica

October 3, 2023 DD, while in Paris, shows off his Leica camera. The turtles remembered that once upon a time GG also had Leica, and assumed that DD probably received the gift from GG.

But the next time a shocking surprise awaits us - at midnight from October 4 to 5, the congratulation to GG appears on his birthday and GG's photos with Leica, and even the camera model is similar. GG’s photos were taken back in the summer, and DD told us that “GG will appear with Leica tomorrow.” In this case, the version of coincidence seems quite weak.

"Do everything for your love"

On November 8, 2023, a new DD endorsement (YaYa) was released. A post appears on the brand’s Weibo account, the text of which contains words spoken about DD: “他为热爱全力以赴” (“he does everything for love”).

On November 9, NARS live stream with GG is released, at the end of which GG gives the wish speech, including saying: “希望大家为自己热爱全力以赴” (“I hope everyone will do everything for their love”).

As you can see, he uses the same phrase almost verbatim. It is not known what of this happened first - the stream was recorded or the advertising text was agreed upon, but if this accordance was intentional, then it was possible to find out the details only through personal communication. It could be a coincidence, but after a few months the following happens:

GG's vlog - Anta advertising

On March 1, 2024, XZS posts Milan vlog, where the viewer is offered the concept of a circle and round objects, the idea of the cycle of life or another interpretation. The image of the moon also runs throughout the vlog.

On March 2, the advertisement for Anta is released, in the video we see a suspiciously similar concept - a round basketball that flashes throughout the entire video and (suddenly!) turns into the moon above building, and the drawing of a lace that resembles the stylized name “border” in GG's vlog. There are even sunset. Even the text for the post uses the same words 边界 (“border”) - 去探索，多元未知的边界 "Go explore diverse and unknown borders” (full video is here).

I don't know what the brand had in mind, unless consider it pure coincidence, but they certainly couldn't make an ad copying GG's vlog concept overnight! Of course, it was known about the “border” and the stylization of the name since the GG's October vlog, but a circle, a setting sun, a ball that turns into the moon? Next day. How?

The Coin

And now, this coin. Five days passed between GG's vlog and the release of Chang Feng Po Lang trailer, but the consistent appearance of the coin that is the "protagonist" of the vlog and the coin that DD rubs his cheek with in the trailer is amazing. If you pay attention, even the sizes of these coins are the same.

I don’t think that the image of the coin in the vlog was subordinated only to the idea of hinting at the imminent release of the series with DD, probably the idea is much deeper, but what do we know about GG’s creative thinking and about his ability to convey a message very subtly?

All this could be considered coincidences if this didn't happen so often and according to the same pattern: event - hint – explanation. I’m sure I haven’t listed everything and there is more, this is just what I noticed.

Perhaps this is one of the things that keeps us firmly in this "rabbit hole" - their connection, which sometimes manifests itself in unexpected ways, their ingenuity to show this connection. I would compare them to the ocean, which always seems to remain the same, but which you never get tired of looking at.

I've just finished another year-long, entirely analogue exposure showing the sun's motion and the wonderful analemma. This is quite addictive!

This composite image was taken looking West from my garden in Portobello. The large island in the foreground is called Pudding Island or Te Pā-o-Titere-Moana by Māori.

This image was taken using an ISO 2 glass 8 inch x 10 inch plate in a pinhole camera working at F/350. One-minute exposures were taken every sunny day at 3:45pm from July 2023 to July 2024. The plate was developed using adonal diluted 1:50 At the winter solstice in June 2024 I left the shutter open all day causing the lower trail.

At the Autumn Equinox in March 2024 I opened the shutter 30 minutes after the exposure was taken and left it open until sunset, creating the cental sun trail.

Werner does not answer. The Frenchman’s voice is velvet. His accent is very different from Frau Elena’s, and yet his voice is so ardent, so hypnotizing, that Werner finds he can understand every word. The Frenchman talks about optical illusions, electromagnetism; there’s a pause and a peal of static, as though a record is being flipped, and then he enthuses about coal. 

Consider a single piece glowing in your family’s stove. See it, children? That chunk of coal was once a green plant, a fern or reed that lived one million years ago, or maybe two million, or maybe one hundred million. Can you imagine one hundred million years? Every summer for the whole life of that plant, its leaves caught what light they could and transformed the sun’s energy into itself. Into bark, twigs, stems. Because plants eat light, in much the way we eat food. But then the plant died and fell, probably into water, and decayed into peat, and the peat was folded inside the earth for years upon years—eons in which something like a month or a decade or even your whole life was just a puff of air, a snap of two fingers.

Gojo leaned back in his comfortable office chair, smiling as the live broadcast finally started, on time like usual. The week had been a long one, but finally seeing the sweet smile from the man who appeared on his screen simply washed it all away.

“Welcome back everyone~” Tora (“Yuji” Gojo’s mind corrected, knowing the name after using some of his contacts) greeted the chat. “So happy to see so many familiar names again, thank you for your support and always being here~”.

Gojo smiled at this, knowing he had been watching these streams religiously nearly since the very beginning of PinkuTora's debut on the cam website. Not once had he missed any of them, be it because he was sick or doing overtime at work.

He just had to see his cute tiger~

“Today I thought I could test out another gift I received from SixEyes” Yuji smiled, “It’s the new Discreet Tiger Friend!” he said excitedly. He then pulled the big and soft-looking tiger plush into the frame, fingers teasing the mechanical part on its lower belly. It was clear he was pretty excited about the gift.

“I had been thinking about getting the Discreet Polar Bear, since I missed out on the limited stock of this cutie” Yuji explained. “But I am so excited and happy to be able to own the cute tiger one now!! Thank you so much SixEyes, I love you very much for this” he continued, blowing a little kiss to the camera.

This had Gojo smiling, sending in a donation with a little message attached to it.

“Happy to see you here tonight with us, I knew I could count on you to join us,” Yuji said, sounding happy about it. “Ever better you will be able to see me make good use of your latest gift~~” he added while putting the tiger on the bed next to him.

“But before that, I want to make a little announcement!” Yuji said cheerfully, “I’ll be opening a raffle where the prize will be…” he then continued before pausing a little, now grinning, “Me!! You will be able to spend a night with yours truly”.

This had Gojo leaning in closer, even more focused on the stream (if that was even possible). A night with his cute tiger? He just had to win this. “You will get a ticket for every 25$ donated to me in the next two weeks, and then I’ll be drawing the winner live for everyone, so stay tuned for it” he explained, finishing with a wink. “You can find all the details on my profile, now let’s test this new cutie out~”.

Gojo had to win this one, he just had to. He would get this free night with his cute Yuji, and maybe he could make him want more of those~

It had taken great self-restraint from him not to just go and claim his cute tiger. After all, he was quite literally down the hall. The absolute shock he had felt when he realised who had moved into the vacant room on his floor. These were pretty expensive condos, so it wasn’t very often.

He felt like he had the V.I.P. treatment to be able to see him so regularly (and so what if he made sure to go out at times he knew Yuji would come out, it was for his love).

He had wanted to claim him, but he knew he would have scared him. But if it was this…

And so Gojo went crazy with the donation. He had so much money he wouldn’t necessarily know what to do with it, plus he never gambled, so why not spend a little on this? He was already in the top 3 donator each month, often being no.1, he felt confident in the number of tickets he could get.

And so Gojo drops quite the amount of money on this, keeping tabs on how many tickets he should have. He feels pretty confident that no one else has as many tickets as he possibly does. Even people in chat joke about how desperate SixEyes must be to win to drop even more than before.

He’s not desperate, he’s just making sure no one else can claim what is meant to be his.

And when the time comes to draw the winner, no one is really surprised when the name pulled out by the cute camboy is SixEyes. “Congrats on winning this raffle~” Yuji says happily, “And thank you to everyone who participated, it means a lot,” he said to the chat. “I’ll be contacting you soon Mister SixEyes, so we can make arrangements for your prize~~”.

Gojo nearly wants this night’s stream to finish early so he can finally be in direct contact with them (even though he has paid for private shows before). Only nearly though.

He’s still waiting at his computer after the show, waiting for Yuji to contact him. He has to restrain himself from responding within seconds when he does, not wanting to scare him with how obsessed he is (if his huge amount of money dropped on the raffle hasn’t already done so).

They chatted for a bit about how they could arrange this, Gojo assuring his cute tiger that he didn’t need to worry about where they would meet. He’d love to fuck Yuji in his own room, but he understood this might be too risky for the camboy. Also, he would like to surprise him a little.

And he was early on making booking arrangements. He picked one of the best hotels in Tokyo, with one of the best suits. After all, he couldn’t have his precious Yuji be in anything but luxury. It was all set up for a couple of nights from now, Gojo waiting for a little to give him the room he had booked (needs not to freak him out).

On the day of the meeting, Gojo was pleasantly surprised to bump into Yuji in the elevator going down in the morning. It only made his day even better that he was able to see him so early too. “Good morning, Itadori” Gojo smiled, holding the door for him to catch up. The young man looked just as surprised to see him “Good morning Gojo!!”.

They chatted a little, but silence fell comfortably. Gojo couldn’t help but note how even more cheerful his cute tiger seemed to be. He nearly always saw him with a smile on his face, but this seemed even more than before. “You seem awfully happy and excited today, something good planned?” Gojo asked, knowing very well what was planned.

A blush spread across the young man’s cheeks, looking down with a sheepish smile. “Does it show so much?” he asked with a chuckle. “I am… meeting with an acquaintance I met online” he explained, “feeling kind of excited about it, although I am also nervous, I never did this before”.

This had Gojo curious, excitement growing inside of him. Did this mean Yuji had never done this before? And that it was his first time giving away a night with him? He had offered it as if it was something he was used to, than to sell other services. It felt kind of natural in a way.

“Have you been in contact with them for a while?” Gojo asked, curious, “I feel like for you to accept you must trust them, I am sure everything will be alright” he assured him. Plus, he had (stalked) seen him at the gym downstairs many times before, he felt confident that if Yuji were to need it, he would be able to defend himself.

Not that he would need to tonight.

“You’re right… I am sure everything will go well” Yuji smiled, “I supposed I just can’t help feeling a little anxious”.

“I think it is only natural, I would probably be too,” Gojo said, although he couldn’t feel anything but burning excitement at the thought of meeting him later on.

“No way” Yuji giggled, “You always look so sure of yourself, it’s as if nothing could break your calm and confidence”. This had Gojo humming, amused. It wasn’t that far from the truth.

He nearly cursed the speed of the elevator when it dinged, telling them they had reached the ground floor. “Well, I supposed I’ll have to wish you a good day, Gojo” Yuji smiled as he stepped out. “I’ll wish you one too” Gojo smiled, “And may your meeting go smoothly~”.

Gojo wish the day could go by more quickly, he doesn’t really have the mind for any of the meetings and paperwork he has to deal with that day (to the dismay of his assistant). His mood lights up when he receives a message telling him Yuji will arrive a little early at the room (since Gojo already said it would be alright, he booked it for two whole days).

The man would have run to the hotel were it not for the fact that he first wanted to change into more casual clothes. Couldn’t show up wearing the same business suit Yuji had seen him wearing that morning. But once he was changed, he was at the hotel in no time, grabbing a key from the receptionist after giving the fake name he had used (had to keep the surprise after all).

When he entered the room he saw Yuji sitting on the bed, back facing him as he seemed to be organising things inside his pink-orange suitcase. Gojo noted he was wearing something he had never seen before.

He had catalogued everything he had ever seen the young man wear (be it on stream or while crossing his path). A rather nice ratio of it was even a gift Gojo had sent to his P.O. box. It made him wonder if this was something he had simply never worn on stream before, or if it was a little something new for today (he really wished it was the latter).

He started making his way towards the bed slowly after closing the door, smiling as Yuji finally turned to him. “Welcome SixE…” The young man started, only to stop when he saw who was there, eyebrow shooting up in surprise. He then suddenly grew very red in the face, as if finally processing who had just come in.

This had Gojo chuckling, grinning a little.

He discarded his coat on an armchair as he made his way to the bed, standing next to it. Yuji turned a little more to face him better, face still rather red. “Hi, Tora-chan~~” Gojo greeted, happy with the effect it had.

“I-I didn’t know that Gojo… that you were a supporter of mine,” Yuji said. “You never told me that you had seen… me doing my job” he said sheepishly, looking a little embarrassed at the thought of someone he knew outside of the internet knowing. Especially someone he lived so close to.

“From the start” Gojo hummed, “I fell for Yuji the moment I found your streams” he admitted. Something flashed across Yuji’s gaze, Gojo was unsure if he liked the thought or not, he hoped he didn’t assume he only liked his body. “Then I fell all over again when I met you the day you moved on the same floor as me, the sweetest and most adorable person I know”.

He then reached out slowly, and when the young man didn’t make a move to stop him or avoid him, he gently stroked his cheek. “You have no idea how much I love you,” he said, maybe even too much, but that didn’t need to be said out loud really. “Unless Yuji doesn’t want it to be me, I'll understand then” but he will be heartbroken about it.

“No!” Yuji quickly replied, grabbing his hand, “I was just surprised, never would have thought that someone like Gojo would be such a fan of me, even less love me like this” he admitted. “It actually makes me really happy it is you” he added, “I was nervous about meeting someone I don’t know, it makes me feel better to know the one being SixEyes was Gojo”.

This made the man feel rather proud, excited and pleased that it was going so well and that Yuji seemed really happy that it was him. Couldn’t have asked for better really.

“Now tell me, Tora-chan” Gojo started as he toed off his shoes, “what did you bring in that nice suitcase of yours?~~” he asked, climbing onto the side of the bed, towering over Yuji. One glance was enough to see all he had brought with him, Yuji looking a little flustered still but excited too about what was to come.

“I know what my biggest fan likes seeing me use, especially from the request you would make on our private shows” he smiled, crawling back to the suitcase. “I figured I’d bring some of them” he added with a wink, grabbing a pair of cute tiger ears to put them on. “Please take good care of Tora-chan, Gojo~”.

Gojo didn’t need to be told twice.

He pulled Yuji closer, bringing him into a heated kiss, hands sneaking under the loose blouse he was wearing. He felt a little surprised when he felt something under his finger that wasn’t skin, pulling back a little. He licked his lips as he slowly popped open the buttons, smiling at the sight.

He was wearing a lacy corset, hugging his toned body perfectly, covering his chest just enough to accentuate it. What a shame it hid away his cute nipples, although it made it that much more fun to uncover them. He wondered if Yuji was wearing any jewellery on them today.

“Look at you~” Gojo cooed, leaning in close again. “dressing up all nice and fancy for me” he smiled, Yuji looking happy that he seemed to really like it. “Never seen anyone prettier and sexier than you are” Gojo hummed, grinning a little more when he saw how Yuji reacted to the praise, a large hand still feeling the expensive fabric, caressing him through it. “Now I wonder what you hide under those cute mini shorts” he admitted, fingers slipping into the waistband just a little bit.

“I also think Gojo is very good looking” Yuji purred, leaving a little peck on his lips, hand slowly working his shirt open. “Always looking so stylish and fashionable” he added, before his eyes drifted down a little, following the path his hand made down his chest and abs. “And from what I’ve seen in our private shows, there’s good looking things hidden under too”.

Gojo was nearly purring at all this, really pleased that Yuji seemed to be just as into him. It made his plan to seduce him that much easier. He started kissing him again, hand working his blouse off so he could see properly what he was wearing. The pink lacy fabric was truly on-brand for his cute tiger~.

He then started kissing his neck, from this angle he was able to see what was inside of the suitcase. He grabs something quickly, placing it down on the bed. “I think I want to see what else you hide for now~” Gojo hummed, skilled finger opening his pants with ease and pushing them down. He pulled them down with one hand, the other already exploring the matching panties. When he reached the back he was surprised to be met with skin “What a naughty boy, wearing such revealing panties~” Gojo hummed, fingers finding the edge and tracing it. A pretty heart window just for him.

“Why don’t we finish up your cute costume” Gojo hummed, showing him the cute tiger tail plug he had picked up. The idea seemed to please Yuji, reaching out to grab a bottle and offering it to him. “Then will Gojo help me out,” he asked with a grin, guiding one of the older man’s ends back to his ass, “I’d really like it if you did~”.

What a question, of course Gojo wanted to.

He made sure his fingers were slick before starting, teasing him at first, trying to test the water. It wasn’t too hard to push one finger one, another following not too long after. “Look at how easily you are taking me inside of you~” Gojo cooed, kissing his neck again. When it seemed enough he grabbed the fluffy tail with his dry hand, pushing it slowly inside of Yuji.

He was a little surprised when Yuji pulled away afterwards, getting off of the bed with a little smile. “How do I look now?” He asks, twirling around a little. “Absolutely stunning, the sexiest being I have seen on earth” Gojo replied, smirking at the blush it brought to the young man.

He moved to sit on the edge of the bed, reaching out to pull Yuji closer to him. Truly the most beautiful person had ever seen, Gojo was certain no one could rival with his precious tiger. He was pretty sure that hunger was written all over his face at this point, it was hard to hide when he had the object of his desires in front of him.

“I am happy to hear this~” Yuji hummed, before sinking down to his knees. “Now, how about I thank you for the love and support you have shown me all these years” he said, eye falling a little half-lidded as he looked back up at him, hand mindlessly rubbing over the growing erection.

“I would never refuse such a tempting gift from you~” Gojo replied, leaning back a little, watching him. For someone who said he had never done this before, Yuji was quite skilled with his mouth. Although he had made a good show online of what he could take, even if it wasn’t with a partner. It was still impressive seeing him take Gojo all the way down on the first try, no one had done that before.

He couldn’t help but let his fingers get buried in the soft pink locks, grabbing onto him a little bit as he moved his hips in rhythm with Yuji. He felt embarrassingly close to the edge for so little, but how could he not when he was so excited and had such a great view.

He still managed to hold out for long enough not to be embarrassingly fast, voice rough as he warned Yuji. Yet the young man didn’t back off, drinking in all that was coming out. He even teased him with a couple of kitten lick, as if to finish cleaning him off. “Nothing was spilt ~ Thank you for the treat,” Yuji said.

And this had Gojo rilled up all over again.

He pulled the young man up with ease, lifting him up. He chuckled at the surprised yelped this got Yuji, who probably didn’t expect someone to pick him up as if he weighed nothing. He manoeuvred them around the bed as he started kissing Yuji again, only stopping when he laid him down into the pillows. “Now it's my turn~” Gojo smiled with a wink.

Yuji seemed a little surprised as Gojo started kissing his way down hands pulling his panties down enough to free his cock. He gave some kiss to it too, looking up at Yuji with a satisfied smile. It was as if he had really not expected for the action to be returned.

In no time he had the young man buried in his mouth, licking him as if he were a tasty lollipop, bobbing his head. He eventually even played with the plug a little bit, gaining some interesting noises from Yuji. He quite liked what he was hearing.

And as much as he liked how he looked with it, gojo ended up pulling it out, which earned him a needy whine. This had him chuckling around Yuji, pushing his fingers inside of him once again. Gojo felt like he could probably not be happier now that he had the one he wanted most in his arms.

“Gojo, faster pleeease” Yuji whined, grabbing onto the sheet as he tried rolling his hips. Instead, he found himself with his hips grabbed firmly, keeping him in place. “And what if I want to tease you and go slowly? Yuji’s eyes grew a little half-lidded at this, batting his eyelashes at Gojo. “Pleeease Gojo” he started, trying to wiggle his hips again, “I really want you to fuck me properly, fuck me so hard that I’ll still feel it tomorrow, I want to come on your cock, I beg you”. And he continued like this, getting whinier when Gojo only chuckled, not giving in yet, clearly enjoying it all.

Then once he pulled out enough that only the tip was still inside, he pushed in deep and rough, pushing the air out of Yuji. The moan that escaped him was nearly a scream, looking surprised. “Then I suppose I’ll have to give in” Gojo said, now moving faster and rougher than before. He had gotten enough teasing, it was indeed time to fuck him properly.

He knew the night would be long when Yuji’s grin widened, diving down for another passionate kiss, seemingly ready to go again.

Frank Iero announces Stomachaches 10th anniversary edition with bonus disc

Frank Iero of My Chemical Romance, L.S. Dunes, and more has announced a 10th anniversary deluxe edition of his 2014 debut solo album, Stomachaches, which was released under his frnkiero and the cellabration moniker. The new edition is titled XNauseousX, and it arrives next week, Aug. 30, via BMG (preorder).

In addition to the original album, the deluxe edition features a second 12-song disc with covers of Green Day‘s “Extraordinary Girl,” the Ronettes‘ “Be My Baby,” and Johnny Cash‘s “Walk The Line,” plus four songs from a live session at BBC Maida Vale Studios, new songs, and more. Along with the announcement comes “This Song Is A Curse…,” which Iero originally contributed as a bonus track to the 2012 Frankenweenie Unleashed soundtrack.

It’s pretty wild having to sit down and think about putting together a 10-year anniversary edition of a record that you originally had zero intentions of releasing. First off, I can’t believe it’s been 10 years, damn time really does fly by. And second, I’m still shocked anyone cares… but I suppose if my original plan was to make a time capsule for my kids to discover, funnily enough, it all kind of worked out. I’ve had a fun time digging through old hard drives, finding recordings, photos, and videos of that time and place. I suppose, in a lot of ways, I’m still that person, but in many cases, I am not. I truly believe that everything we have gone through and experienced gets us to the place where we currently reside, and I honestly wouldn’t change one second of it. ‘XNauseousX’ compiles everything put to tape from the Stomachaches era. From the first song I released as a solo artist, “This Song Is A Curse…,” as well as the first 7 inch release, ‘For Jamia.’ All the way through home-recorded and mixed B-sides and the Cellabration’s entire BBC Maida Vale session. You even get my homemade interpretation of Green Day’s Extraordinary Girl, which was panned by almost all of the internet but remains one of my favorite things I ever made. (Thank you James and Kerrang! for asking me to do this one. I still think the internet was wrong and I was right.) For better or worse this is a time capsule, now fully complete and unearthed. I hope it finds you well, and makes you smile more than it makes you frown.

Ranking the Summer 2024 Anime I Watched This Year

I watched *nine* (!!!!!) different series this season, which was a lot on my plate to deal with, and I even had to finally drop some before I could even start them (Sorry 2.5 Dimensional Seduction, maybe some other time. I just didn't have the time man). But the nine I watched, I watched to completion, so I figured I'd take the time to air out my thoughts on them as well as rank them from best to worst. Mostly short takes, a handful of longer ones because for a handful of them I actually had a lot to say:

Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! Not only the best anime of the season, but one of the best new anime I've seen in YEARS. The one that I would tell everyone to go out of their way to watch. In-between the comedy you get some of the most genuine, thought-provoking monologues and stories about the politics of dating, friendships, and relationships, done by people who nail the high school mindset the entire time in writing that doesn't talk down to its audience. Wonderful characters and characterization. Even the one-note absurdist comedy characters are done very well. Made me emotional on multiple occasions throughout the entire time it was on. If it doesn't get a second season it will be a god damned travesty. Incredible series.

2. Pseudo Harem. This was a series that snuck up on me in a great way!! The last five or so episodes of this series were the best of any series this entire season. This was the comforting hug that I needed every week, especially in its last few weeks. Pseudo Harem is about the two biggest dweebs on the entire planet slowly falling in love with each other. Watching and rooting for Rin especially, since the show heavily focuses on her perspective and feelings, is some of the most fun I've had this entire season. Saori Hayami knocks it out of the park with her performance, Rin is the cutest girl of this season. Oh man oh man I am going to miss this series a ton.

3. Mayonaka Punch. The best voice cast out of anything I watched, with all incredible characters like Live, Tokage, Masaki, and Yuki my beloved. But everyone was great. Maybe had the best single episode of any series this season (Fu's origin episode which had me and the two friends I watched it with crying hard) on top of being really funny.

4. Days with My Stepsister. This one genuinely caught me by surprise. Two lonely, depressed, broken human beings who find comfort and solitude in each other after realizing they are first person to understand each other. The premise from the onset makes you think you're gonna be in for some eyerolling-ly poor way of handling this subject but they give it a thoughtful nuance that makes you feel for the bond these two share with each other. Far and away the best soundtrack of any show I watched this season. The Saki monologues from her diary that start or end some of the episodes were the best voice acting work of the entire season, from any series. This was one that I was very late in starting, but once I did, I basically binged through it over a very short amount of time. The ending is beautiful, and done in such a way that while it feels like a finality for the series, is also a little open enough just in case a second season comes through, and I am really hoping that this will be the case. A beautiful, melancholic tale about finding love.

5. VTuber Legend: How I Went Viral after Forgetting to Turn Off My Stream. This show was just a fucking trip from start to finish. Absurdist comedy (they literally do gooning jokes for fuck's sake) that lands every single time. The funniest show I watched this season by far.

6. My Deer Friend Nokotan. I feel like me and my friends who I watched this with were the only people who didn't get weirdly angry or feel betrayed by this series. We saw it for what it was, goofy head-empty comedy, and had a good time every week. Nokotan and Koshitan are ABSOLUTELY dating.

7. Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian. Hoo boy. I've got a lot to say about this one. My biggest disappointment of the season. It kills me to say this because Alya became one of my favorite girls ever IMMEDIATELY. A gorgeous bully tsundere girl will grab ahold of my heart and never ever let go. They even gave her Lum's voice actress. Her whispering in Russian was heart-meltingly cute. What was not to love?

Well to start, here's the deal. The first two episodes of this series? Absolutely tremendous. This series immediately got high marks from everyone and it was easy to understand why. It was absolutely what the trailers was selling itself as. Lighthearted romantic comedy with lots of bully teasing. And then starting with like, episode three, it pivots HARD into being a high school drama with light romantic comedy sprinklings every now and then like it wants to remind you "oh yeah it says we're a romantic comedy on the tin" and that's when, as each episode goes by, you start seeing more and more people turn on this series. Was it justified? I stuck with it because I don't mind drama stuff, but I completely understand why people dropped off like they did. And even I cracked finally. Alya's Russian out loud asides are treated very much as afterthoughts after the fourth or fifth episode. It's the series' entire main gimmick!! It's in the title!! You'd think they'd showcase it way more than they do!! The second to last episode of the series, when we're knee-deep in the new antagonist characterization of Yuki, even *I* was finally at one point like "can we have some fun in this series again for more than like a minute?" And in the finale they do lean towards it just a little bit again, but unfortunately just too little too late for me.

Am I going to watch the already announced second season? Yes, absolutely. Because again, while I was a little frustrated like everyone else in how they should have called this a dramedy rather than a romantic comedy, I still liked this series. I adore Alya and her sister Masha is *so* good and sweet and I need her in my life to tell me I'm doing my best while patting my head. It's just that, from the first few minutes of episode one I was already proclaiming that this was going to be my favorite thing of the season. And for those of you who watched the first few episodes, could you blame me? Who'd have thunk it'd screw itself up like that as time went on if you weren't reading the light novels and going into it blind? Everything in the buildup leading to the release of this series sold it as something completely different from what it was.

8. Shy Season 2. I like Shy, but I find myself, like with the first season, enjoying the early "slice of life, but she happens to be a superhero" aspect of the series way more than I do the latter half of each season when it delves into the serious business fighting aspect. But I realize I am in the minority here. But even then, that doesn't mean I dislike the serious stuff at all!! I honestly thought the sister drama was even better than Pepesha's mother issues in the first season, and we got so much more of Piltz in this season who I adore. I really enjoy Shy a lot, even if some of the villains are a little too cornball for my taste, but I am adoring seeing Teru's growth into a dependable, relied on superhero, and seeing her get her flowers at the end of this season from all of her peers was so good and had me cheering her on too.

9. Plus-Sized Elf. The only series of the season that I didn't like at all. Stuck with it because once you skip the, and I hate to use this word but it actually works here, cringe-y opening as well as the end credits each episode is barely under ten minutes and I felt like it would've been stupid to not just finish that shit out. But man, that was brutal. I think there's room for an ecchi comedy series that's done well every season, but this one was not in the slightest. They overload you on characters that are hard to remember after awhile (and to be honest the only two I super liked were the main elf girl, who is adorable, and the convenience store girl) which is the kiss of death for a series that is meant to air in 15 minute time slots. Just not worth your time.

Did you have a nice Labor Day weekend? Where did you go?

  This Labor Day my ex, whom I co-parent our son Clark with, came to visit.  We took the kids tubing down the Colorado River by my house and also took them to glaze pottery.  Clark created a mug, saying 'Stay Weird,' Samantha painted a bowl, my ex painted another mug with a big C for Clark painted on it while I painted a gift for a loved one’s birthday.

2) You've been in the news recently as the Kvue employee who adopted a child looking for her Forever Family.That is a heart-warming story. Is she adjusting well? 

Samantha is thriving.  I always say with kids it’s two steps forward, one step back.  One must be hyper vigilant and with time there is improvement.  She is making A's in her classes for the first time in her life, plus is doing tumbling and will soon be in a girls’ etiquette class to help her get in with the right crowd when transitioning into middle school next year.

3)   Did you say that Sam has really helped your Special Needs son? 

Having a Neurotypical sibling truly helps a spectrum kid with modeling and empowerment.  Clark actually won an improv contest this summer with Sam which would have been unthinkable before with this huge social anxiety.

4)  You have a large extended family. So, this is truly a New Day for her.  Yes, she now has my parent’s adoptive family as well as their bio family in addition to her aunts uncles, cousins all over the world.

5)  Let's recap. Your song 'A New Day For You' had how many new listeners in August?  It has had 174,489 total streams.

6)  You have a new music video that released September 6, 2024. 'Chances Are' is a remake of Johnny Mathis' 1968 performance. What inspired you to do a cover of this song?

  I am a sucker for the nostalgia of music from years ago.  Many times, I would sing these songs while my mother played the piano.  I hope I did a rendition Johnny Mathis would be proud of.  I think I fell in love with this song when the film titled 'Chances Are' starring Cybil Shepherd was released in the 80s.

7) There is more music to come in the future & you have set up a new studio? Is there anything you'd like to add here?

  I will be releasing my version of 'My Way' soon.  I have written a lot more songs using my new home studio.  My favorite so far is 'Silent Wings' about my daughter.  Stay tuned!

  8)  September is Cancer Awareness Month. There are so many different types & many of us have been touched by one type or another. If you were to give a speech at a school, what message would you give to kids today about cancer? 

There are various ways to give and help from local charities to national charities.  For me, I would share that cancer will impact us all even if we don’t personally get inflicted by the disease.  I would share that the best thing we can all do is live each moment to the fullest & tell your loved ones how you feel as tomorrow isn’t always granted.

What Started in Ferguson Taught Me That I Belong

I can still remember where I was on August 9th, 2014. I was at work at my desk at the bank taking a break from banking customers struggling to pay their mortgages. I scrolled on my phone hoping to pass time on my favorite social media app at that time, Twitter. As I scrolled my timeline I came across an image that made me sit up in my seat. Those were the days long before a trigger warning or a sensitive warning. The image that I saw was somebody’s baby lying in the street with a pool of blood staining and streaming across the cement beneath them. That baby, we would all learn within a matter of hours was Michael Brown Jr., and that street he was lying in was called Canfield Drive in Ferguson, Mo. Brown lost his life that day.

This image that I saw over and over again, forever stained in my memory, was a cultural assault that would lead to a formidable movement called Black Lives Matter.

No one demonstrated to the world that Black Lives Matter more than those in Ferguson, who were moved to protest in the streets and take brave, courageous actions to ensure that the world never forgot what they did to a Black young man for walking down the middle of the street. The courage it took for a community to share their power with each other inspired a generation of millions of people to take action—and to never look back.

Their protest also inspired my own analysis, and what I was willing to do to demand justice. Ferguson organizers taught us all how to protest. The Women’s March and the racial reckoning that occurred during the summer of 2020 would not have happened without the Ferguson uprising that resulted from Brown’s death. For that, I believe we owe Ferguson organizers more than a thank you. The righteous rage demonstrated there was the quintessential action that led to America’s long reckoning with the sins of its past, by creating the space for many movements to emerge that centralized conversations on race, class, and gender that are still shaping the world today.

My endless gratitude, admiration, respect, and love for Ferguson is forever. And I pray none of us ever forget.

Ten years is a long time for most but an even longer time for those of us who know what it’s like to lose someone—or even yourself. Ten years ago, I found myself homeless, without purpose, and deeply desiring a new path forward. I thought that there was no other option for me but to suffer and become a shell of myself.

I was deeply inspired by the people in Ferguson who looked like me and reminded me of my family—the community that used their voices to declare “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” as a rallying cry in response to the actions of an officer who saw Black life as disposable. It was the voices of the protestors in Ferguson that reminded me that I may have been without a home, but I was not without a voice. It’s that voice that has carried me far and wide, from the White House and to communities across this country who lacked resources and support much like I did 10 years ago.

Ferguson inspired me to never give up and to never let anyone get in the way of creating what I knew was necessary to support myself and my community. Many would have me believe that being Black, poor, and transgender meant there was no space for me.  And had I not seen women staring down armored trucks and millions of people taking to social media to join in dismay, anger, and sorrow, I probably would’ve believed the same. Ferguson taught me and that there was no space I didn’t belong. The only spaces I could not align with were the spaces that did not believe in the humanity of all Black people. There was no compromise on this for me.

This realization led to me founding the nation’s leading Black trans-founded organization exclusively dedicated to protecting and defending Black transgender lives, The Marsha P. Johnson Institute. We were born out of the rage and sorrow of Ferguson. We were born out of the rage and sorrow that grows from learning the ever-expanding list of unarmed Black people wrongly killed.

I remember who I was before I knew so many names and stories of injustices. I remember who I was before The Marsha P. Johnson Institute. And I remember who I was before Ferguson. I was young, free, lost, afraid, but optimistic that the world believed in young Black people like me. However, over the last 10 years I’ve learned to question that truth. With an increase in anti-trans legislation and the regular occurrence of unjust killings of unarmed Black people, such as Sonya Massey most recently, we are constantly reminded that are fight is still ongoing.

I’ll always remember that Ferguson saved me and gave me a model for all that I could be as an organizer, and more importantly as a Black woman. Although there have been many sleepless nights filled with anxiety and doubt, coupled by numerous tragic losses—including several murders and deaths of activists I looked up to and whose insights will forever guide me—I’ve never forgotten that the Black imagination of Ferguson led a resistance movement that changed the way we talked about politics and race in America. So much so that unprecedented firsts are still happening today—like Vice President Kamala Harris announcing her run the presidency.

Great efforts have been made to interrupt the power of a community like Ferguson, and its influence on people like me who need a reminder that our lives in fact did matter. That we should fight like hell to preserve them. And that we didn’t and wouldn’t have to fight alone.

The Black imagination is what fueled us all to join Ferguson in the streets and in our own communities—to take action as we learned more and more names of Black people murdered by the police. It is the Black imagination that led me to believe that despite how awful the outcomes continue to be, we as the people who bear witness to these atrocities are indebted to Ferguson organizers for extending their humanity to us all by taking brave action to hold the police accountable for their wrongdoings.

Ferguson sparked an inextinguishable flame. In it, we saw ourselves more fully. And that ignited a global movement to encourage communities to pursue freedom, safety, and justice for all. I am because we are. I am because of Ferguson, Mo. Thank you for the tradition that will always be carried on.

BG3, it isn't news that Act 3 lags and there are some sidequests I refuse to do a second time because I did my time and we're not doing it again. I really hate a lot of the combat, even if I'm no longer awful at it. Like, sure, I can fight Raphael, I've fought every major boss in the game at this point at Tactician level, but also, consider: I don't *like* it.

Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, I've been watching it for YEARS but I NEVER understood the appeal of Jack/Phryne. I thought it would be her essentially giving up her independence for a man and that they might have a short-lived fling, but it would never go anywhere. I dragged my heels, I bitched, I moaned, I said I would never like it, that it was a mistake to not just adapt the books and make Jack happily married and Phryne in a steady but open relationship with Lin Chung.

Like, excellent, Takarazuka productions don't often have 100% historical accurate costumes, now can we actually pay attention to the MUSICAL? What do you think about the MUSICAL?
