hi!!! i am not too busy! i'm aghase for life so i am very happy to help you out here, got7 is seriously one of the best groups ever, and one of the top 2 groups to come out of jyp. it's crazy that they got it so right twice in a row. 2pm are, like, the godfathers of got7, and it is actually pretty endearing to see that some of them are very close! junho considers jinyoung of got7 his dongsaeng and they are very good friends (as seen on junho's most recent i live alone appearance). more under the cut!

anyways. so, got7 are, in age order: mark (rapper, visual, american member), jayb (leader, main vocal), jackson (main rapper, face of the group, chinese member), jinyoung (lead vocal, dancer, visual, center, face of the group), youngjae (main vocal), bambam (rapper, thai member), yugyeom (main dancer, vocal, maknae).

the entire rap line of got7 is the international line or called the atk (amerithaikong) line, which is insane if you think about it. entire rap line (rap!!!!) made of some dudes who aren't even performing in their first language. that takes guts and talents. every member in the group has either produced or written songs for got7, jaebeom is their primary producer, but so are jinyoung and youngjae. yugyeom, too. jinyoung has been known to choreograph for the group, and vigilantly monitors their performances. bambam is the most fashion forward member and it is all over his body of work, which is so exciting.

jackson is jackson, like, that is literally jackson wang and if you open youtube and type in his name you will find tons of videos because he is really the face of the group and a very well established solo artist, too. here is his latest big single blow which is truly a serve, the earworm inducing 100 ways, and my personal favorite LMLY. here is jackson answering the web's most searched questions and his little stint on the late late show with james corden.

got7 song association, elle; this is a very easy and breezy intro to who got7 is and their very own, personal brand of clownery.

got7 takes a friendship test, glamour; this is one of my favorite videos of got7, and my comfort video too. it is funny and sweet and you learn a lot about the members and their chemistry.

crash & burn, be original; yugyeom and jackson choreographed this. one of the coolest performances they have ever done.

crash & burn, music bank; they performed live here and i always include this in my recs because of youngjae's stunning live adlibs (at 3:00). he is on par with minjun of 2pm as the best vocalist jyp has ever had. it's truly bonkers.

you are van live; this is my favorite got7 title track and this is one of the best and funniest and realest things they have ever done. live performers.

never ever cooking live; they sing and decorate a cake. what is not to adore.

1° tape; their live performance of spinning top's 1°. one of the best songs in their entire discography, written by yugyeom. everyone is so stunning here, especially youngjae.

if you do, mbc music festival; iconic performance of an absolutely perfect track. they slowed it down in the first half but the performance does not suffer whatsoever.

just right comeback stage; their big breakthrough hit. like 2pm, rookie got7 were known for their intense martial arts choreography.

lullaby pyjama version; live in living color, baby! this song has insanely fun choreography.

AAA awards medley; the greatest to ever do it. absolute beasts.

poison, be original; this is just a great song with such clever choreography (by jinyoung, yugyeom and jackson), once again. there is one performance where jinyoung forgot his handkerchief.

runaway, 6th fanmeeting; the only time they performed the greatest track in their entire discography live. written and produced by jinyoung.

breath (written and produced by youngjae), you are, fan favorite page, encore, not by the moon, thursday, you calling my name (including yugyeom’s very own gashina moment)

on top of it all, the members all have solo careers. jaebeom has  released under his stage name jay b (including the breakdancing he was known for in got7) and his producer tag Def. yugyeom is at AOMG, which houses LeeHi and GRAY, and has released quite a bit solo stuff. his collab with gray, all your fault, is absolutely brilliant and required listening. bambam is at abyss now, the same label sunmi is at, and has shown the world that he is a true allrounder. he is now a fixed cast member of variety show master in the house.

youngjae is at sublime, the very same company handling all of jackson's korean releases, and i just want them to finally make jjap jjap project a real thing. here they both are on youngjae's radio show, best friend! youngjae starred in midnight sun (musical) last year, and he starred in so not worth it, netflix's first korean sitcom, and it is as delightful as it sounds. his solo music is very poppy and cool; here is sugar, his latest comeback. youngjae is such a special case because he only trained for a few months after he got into jyp, and then debuted straight off the bat as the main vocal. he won awards in high school for his singing and he made it a point to often perform fully live (occasionally blowing out his voice in the process, but hey, that's dedication.)

jinyoung is the most established actor in all of got7. he most recently starred in the second season of yumi's cells, and the tvn drama The Devil Judge (HUGE recommendation). he had a cameo in the first episode of reborn rich, and starred in he is psychometric and when my love blooms. he has just released his first solo album, but his first ever solo release dive is outstanding. perfect pop rock.

mark has released an entire solo album, including the singles last breath, my life, and lonely. those songs are so mind-bogglingly good, it is hard to comprehend that got7's most introverted member just came out of the gate swinging right away.

their best albums imo are: spinning top, call my name, 7 for 7, breath of love, and the entire flight log trilogy that has to be seen as a full body of work.

flight log is got7's own, lore heavy narrative (like bts' most beautiful moment), that starts with flight log: departure and corresponding title track fly, is continued by flight log: turbulence and iconic got7 banger hard carry, and ends with flight log: arrival and the incomparable never ever. jinyoung is the protagonist of the story, and it is all very, y'know. life and death. very tragic and beautiful.

Jay is incredibly affectionate around you; he loves to have you nice and close to him and be able to wrap his arms around you. He feels incredibly supported when he’s able to hold out and touch you and know that you’re beside him.

He’s not shy of confidence, so when you caught his eye in a local coffee shop, he was more than happy to go over and say hello. You were surprised for a few moments by his sudden appearance in front of you, but as he began to introduce himself, you couldn’t help but tell him all about yourself too, allowing him to get to know you.

After a few dates together, Jay knew that he wanted to make things official with you. He made sure to pull out all of the stops to try and impress you, making sure that you had the best table at the restaurant that he planned to take you too. His confession was very honest, you could tell that he was talking from the heart, he wanted you to know exactly how he felt and exactly where he could see his future going with you.

Jay loves to spoil you; he loves to treat you nicely and take you to fancy places. He might not appear like someone who will sit down to a meal, but if it’s what you want, he’s more than happy to get dressed up and take you somewhere nice. He loves to show off to you, before dates, he’ll often appear at your front door with a gift, usually a bouquet of flowers, to set the tone of the evening nicely. He loves to have dates at the studio too when he’s working late so he can dedicate some time to you in his busy schedule.

There had been a few brief dates and very short relationships in Jay’s life, but nothing ever felt as serious as things did with you. For the first time, he really felt as if he wanted to settle down with you and really begin to think about the future. He was nervous to begin with about the amount of time he could spend with you and if you’d understand his career, but over time, things naturally began to work themselves out. It surprised him sometimes how well your relationship worked, but one thing was for sure, he never took it for granted.

The two of you definitely had a few little arguments every now and then, at times Jay was quite guilty of being stubborn and knowing what he wanted without listening to anyone else. If the two of you argued, he’d tend to go to the studio for a while rather than figuring things out straight away and would often come back with a gift in hand to try and apologise to you. He knows at times he can be stubborn, and he knows that it’s not fair on you so he always makes sure to accept that he can be at fault, as much as he’d like to suggest otherwise. He’s very good at sorting things out between the two of you and not letting things drag out.

With his family split around the world, it was difficult for you to really get to know Jay’s family. You relied heavily on calls, Jay loved to get you over whenever he spoke to a member of his family so he could introduce you or tell them all about the things that the two of you had been doing together as a couple.

He was quite keen to move you into his house after just a couple of months as he loved having you around. At times, his house was very quiet, and he was desperate to have someone around who he could bounce ideas off of or greet when he came home from work. And you just so happened to be the perfect solution to that.

Jay was the first one of the two of you to say, ‘I love you,’ when he came home from work one day to see that you’d waited up for him with a meal warmed in the oven. It was only a small gesture from you, but after the day that Jay had had at work, you had no idea how much he needed it and how grateful he was for you.

There aren’t too many times when Jay feels jealous, he’s confident in himself and you, he knows that not many guys would be able to compare to him. He loves to see you talking to people and getting to know his friends and staff at the label, so he doesn’t tend to get jealous. If he does get jealous, he’ll silently make his way into conversation, he’ll tend to show off his muscles a little more and begin to throw his weight around you to make it clear to everyone that you are his and no one else can have a look.

Before meeting you, Jay hadn’t thought too much about children as he was so dedicated to his work. However, as your relationship began to progress, he definitely found himself thinking about it a little more. He was nervous more than anything about how he’d fit a family into his life, but after many late-night talks with you about the future, he began to realise that maybe it was something that the two of you could solve together.

Jay loved to make you laugh more than anything else in the world, it was exactly the sound he needed to hear at the end of a long day. He loved to come home and wrap his arms around you and tickle your sides until he was able to hear your giggle around the house. It was natural as well for him to just find himself laughing around you, at times you could just be doing nothing, but just the sight of you brought a smile to his face. Not many people had seen this sort of side to Jay before, but they loved seeing just how happy he was with you.

M ⇴ MISSING

Homesickness wasn’t something Jay felt often as he spent so much time away from his family, however, being away from you was a whole new chapter. He didn’t realise quite how much he needed your company until you weren’t there anymore. When he was on the road, he’d often send gifts to your place to make sure that you knew he was thinking of you and missing you. If the chance presented itself too, he’d fly you to wherever he was in the world in a heartbeat, only if it was for a few days. One thing Jay never did was turn down the opportunity to see you, no matter even if it was just for a few minutes or hours.

He loved to call you ‘love,’ Jay was quite traditional in that sense, he wasn’t one for fancy or over the top nicknames, he much preferred to keep things simple, still knowing that it was enough to put a smile on your face.

Jay was obsessed with your bum, he loved to rest his hands against it or lay against it at night. He couldn’t help but instinctively place his hands there must of the time and pinch you gently.

honestly, this is a little tricky because i really think it is bigbang, bts and then a whole lot of nothing if you consider an actual rap line. ikon used to have bobby and hanbin and that was crazy, but now that hanbin is gone, bobby is not enough to hard carry that group. the thing with exo is, that in terms of rapline, chanyeol is carrying them, sehun is adequate but his strong suit is dance. meanwhile got7 and monsta x are on the same level for me and i think they are highly underrated. a.c.e's rapline is also super strong, but these groups are all idol and vocal-based. nct 127 simply has mark lee who is the greatest rapper sm has ever seen, and taeyong carries enough weight to not get lost in the sauce. i want these rankings to be about the synergy of an actual line and not just one rapper, so there we go.

this is super arbitrary because i do not pay nearly enough attention to rap lines if they aren't, like, super good.

shinee has to rank at number one here, because every member is a part of the dance line and with taemin at the helm, there is no doubt why they are the gold standard of performers. exo's dance line (kai, yixing, sehun) has such heavy hitters, it is just crazy, and seventeen are the strongest group performance wise. ateez are simply monster performers and underrated as a whole. a.c.e is the most underrated group on this list. watch their tempo dance cover and figure out WHY i put them on here. also, i just love their energy.

honorable mention: bts' hoseok and jimin, got7's entire dance line (yugyeom, jaebeom, jinyoung, bambam, jackson), and 2pm for their super intense choreographies. and ten. lonely soldier. shoutout to gikwang, as well. whipping highlight into shape is his daily bread and butter.

Lazy Mornings ~ Jay Park

The feeling of Jay’s breath tickling against the back of your neck caused you to stir, slowly turning around to come face to face with him already wide awake. His smile grew as his eyes met yours, trailing one of his hands up to brush your hair out of your face. You nuzzled gently into his palm as it ran through to your cheek, choosing to settle it there for a few moments.

The room was still dark as you glanced past his shoulder at the clock noticing just how early it still was. It was the one thing about Jay you never understood, he always loved to wake up early in the morning and crack on with his day.

“Did you sleep well?” You asked him, breaking the comfortable silence. “This is early, even for you.”

“I did,” he smiled back at you, “I woke up, and saw you were fast asleep. I didn’t realise I was looking for so long, but then time just ran away with me, and the next thing I knew, you were up.”

Your eyes rolled at his attempts to charm you, pushing the duvet away from your body only for Jay to pull it back over you. “Don’t you have to get ready for work soon?”

“Nope,” he whispered, “I’ve got the day off, so I can spend all day with you.”

His strong arms wrapped back around you, keeping you tightly in position leaving you unable to move. You settled back against his chest comfortably, allowing your eyes to close for a few moments before you felt a trail of kisses press against your neck.

“What do you say to me getting breakfast sorted? I could go down and make us something nice,” he whispered into your ear, proudly smiling as your head nodded in response.

His arms unwrapped from around you, as you went to stand up, Jay quickly pinned you back down, letting you know to relax whilst he took control. You laid in bed whilst he went downstairs and sorted out breakfast. It had been a while since the chance had come around for him to cook for you, and he was determined to make the most of it and show off to you.

After twenty minutes, he reappeared at the top of the stairs with a tray in his hands and two plates of food served. Your eyes lit up at the delicious smell that followed him back into the bedroom, sitting down beside you as you pushed yourself up.

“Now, I’ve tried hard to make it perfect, but I’m no chef, so don’t get too excited,” he told you, passing one of the plates across to you. “If you don’t like it though, I will be offended.”

Your head shook, nudging his bicep gently before taking your first mouthful of food. A hum of delight came from you as you took in the strong taste of the avocado and eggs that he’d made for you, as he liked to describe it, his signature dish.

“It’s delicious,” you complimented, resting your head against his shoulder. “When you retire, you can definitely get yourself a job as my personal chef, that role is yours.”

The two of you fell back into your usual comfortable silence whilst you enjoyed your breakfast, waiting until you’d both finished to start planning your day. Jay had positioned you between his legs, allowing your back to press against his chest.

“What do you reckon to a day of nothing?” You suggested.

It had been a long time since the two of you found the time to spend a full day together. Jay’s schedule had been packed with all the work he’d been doing, any time he could fit you in he tried to spend as much time with you as possible. He knew you’d sit and tell him that you understood, but that never stopped him from feeling guilty whenever he neglected you.

“I think you can read my mind,” he chuckled, “I’m thinking as much food as we can possibly eat and some good movies on Netflix, how does that sound to you?”

Your head nodded instantly, if your morning were so much as a hint of how the rest of your day would play out, it sounded like a dream to you. “I think that sounds perfect.”

“And for once, there’s no one around to tell me what I can and can’t eat, I can do what I want.”

“You’ll pay for it at the gym tomorrow,” you reminded him, but his shoulders shrugged, the extra work would be worth it if it compensated a day spent with you.

He reached around the sides of the duvet, carefully pulling it back up to cover your bodies. His lips pressed several times against your shoulder making you squirm as you tightened the duvet around yourself to try and generate a bit of warmth.

“Why didn’t you tell me you were cold,” Jay scolded, running his arms up and down your body. “Do you want me to go and make you a hot drink or something?”

Your head shook, pressing yourself harder against him so that he couldn’t move. “A drink will be no good, I’d much rather use you to warm me up. Your muscles are like my blanket these days, they always keep me nice and warm.”

He was proud of his body, every opportunity he had to flex in front of you he took, and now was no different as he made sure to show off the strength in his arms to you.

Your eyes rolled, but you still couldn’t help but inspect closely at how defined his arms were. Coupled with his tattoos, you often found yourself getting lost in them, tracing around all of his inks with the tip of your fingers when you needed a distraction.

His lips pressed to your cheek to snap you out of your daydream. He knew you always found yourself getting lost, even if you’d try and protest that you weren’t staring at him. He craved the attention that he got from you, always searching for more.

“It’s alright to admit that you like what you see.”

“Don’t you start,” you warned him, pushing your elbow into his waist. “I was just staring because I was tired, I’m not used to waking up so early, no thanks to you. How do you wake up at this time so early every day, it’s ridiculous?”
