I’m watching this LP of Higurashi and jfc this guy keeps complaining about the MC and various other characters and describing, with too much detail, on how he’d want to have them killed or harmed. Then complains about a character simping for another character (his girlfriend??) but then I have to spend hours listening to him constantly simping over Mion.

When we get to character’s getting into lore and shit, he complains about them leading the MC into the bad things that later in the chapter and getting in his way of hanging out with Mion. BRO THIS IS A HORROR GAME NOT A DATING SIM. The bad is going to happen anyway jfc stop being a bitch (the person explaining just felt like a hobby anthropologist or a historian and the guy I’m watching is calling her a creep psycho. Yeah sure but shut up oh my god)

Like bro you cant explain that away by saying “oh you need a certain sense of humor to get it”. You’re coming off as an ass with everything. I hope your waifu dies in a graphic way you’re forced to read aloud jfc.

I’m just hoping this chapter will be over so Mion will be of less focus. Like idk bc I’m not a guy but I literally do not care too much about the main girls. Like I prefer the nurse, photographer and the officer a bit more currently. I read a few spoilers about them but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Maybe it’s more that I’m less invested in the characters and more interested in the narrative (like oooh whats gonna happen next vs idk)

Of the girls I currently don’t care for Mion bc if the dude I’m watching. I’m not a huge fan of Satoko bc of her pranks. I’m fine about Rika, and I’m not fond of Rena’s “kyute” and “hao” sounds but she’s nice.

fistbump friday. fucking fproject fic friday. 15k-word hot freakish mess of an "outline" so far. Here are 290 of them that I like in-context AND out-of-context (you get them out-of-context).

She's almost to the landing when she sees it—and Astos sees her seeing it, then follows her line of sight—a black shape slinking up the lower flight of stairs, into the workshop, camouflaged among the shadows that pool along the inner wall.

"Rakshasa!"

Neon exclaims this with such indignant disbelief that Astos understands in an instant, and the shape resolves itself into the very tomcat he noticed supervising her in the yard just days ago. She hurries down towards it and it darts around her ankles. Clears the landing; Astos steps through and closes the door just as it sets one pitch-black paw on the first step up, and it pauses, watching him with wary interest as he descends.

So preoccupied is Rakshasa with this wrench in its exploratory plan that, as Neon swoops around and captures it with an air of long practice, it hardly has time to flatten its ears, pale-green eyes widening with belated alarm. "No, you don't," she informs it, lifting what must be all fifteen pounds of the beast with ease. "How'd you even get up here? You..."

The cat, though it settles into place as if by habit, front paws resting on her shoulder, turns its head just afterwards to watch Astos out of the corner of its eye and responds with a muted, back-of-the-throat meow.

"I didn't know he knew how to use the warp pads," Neon says. Astos notes as she does so that she's turned her body as if to give the cat a better view, and is looking at him now with her cheek pressed against its broad back.

Something Astos doesn't quite understand twists experimentally beneath his breastbone again. "They're not exactly complex."

She smiles. "Guess not."

oh god this is so many chapters. "how many" do not ask me this. measure it in multiples of ten in your mind's eye & I'll get back to you someday. I have more different metrics for you:

my outline* (!) is about to be 10k words and I'm MAYBE at the halfway point. there are like 20+ bullet points for Concepts I still probably want to incorporate somewhere but haven't quite figured out how to place yet and AT LEEEEEAST 9 chapter-shaped holes to fill (lowballing so as to not summon misfortune) (middle chunk of fic is the most filled-out**; latter ~half or so is still missing some Events to go with the General Idea (beginning chunk is missing mostly prose and slightly Thinking)).

* not all of the outline is Outline-Shaped a lot of the words are prose. or a lot of the other ones are me giving myself instructions / slapping run-on sentences together to capture a vibe. YOU KNOW

problem defeated: timeline stuff. OR IS IT writing this made me realize that having figured out the timeline stuff for the beginning and middle does NOT mean I figured it out for the parts after that necessarily so much to think about so much to think about

problem to beat going forward: all the Scenes I thought of or placed nicely without having to reach much are in there already so now I have to be like proactive about the ideas FUUUUUCK AAAAUUUghh ok scream over. I'm ready to use my inside voice to go insane thank you for your time

Those are absolutely two of my favorite pictures of Elvis. Of course I like the details and all the info I can get on the pictures. One thing I have to say is that in that moment Elvis was in his 7th season at the International Hotel in Las Vegas (August 4th - September 4th 1972), and it was the first time he brought Linda Thompson to accompany him during the concerts (prior to that she had only accompanied Elvis during rehearsals in July). You can imagine how jealous I am of her because, well, just look at Elvis! 🫠🥲 Anyway, here's a little story about the fans with Elvis in those pictures:

Las Vegas, NV. Monday, August 28, 1972. Elvis with two Italian fans. The woman is Nicla Crippa and the man was the President of the Italian fan club, his name is Livio Monari. Livio Monari started the Italian FC in 1962. Together with Nicla Crippa, a personal friend and member of his Fan Club, they met Elvis just after the Midnight show on 26th August 1972. Photos taken that day didn't come out, so they asked to see Elvis again... to have new ones taken on the 28th August (2nd meeting) which are the ones shown above. They had just attended the Dinner & Midnight shows on the 28th Aug: when a waiter approached them - that Elvis was waiting for them.

Nicla said the following about the meeting:

1972 was a special year for me, I picked up all my saving of a year and together with Livio Monari at that time president of the E.P.F.C. of Italy, I flew to Las Vegas in August to see Elvis performing. When we arrived we were so excited that we started immediately to ask anybody of Elvis entourage if we could meet Elvis, crook Col. Parker was at a gambling table with his cigar and he said very rude "NO, you cannot met Elvis", then Joe Esposito who said No too, and when I told him "Hey Joe you are Italian like us" he answered "I'm not Italian, I was born in Chicago" very rude too... until I saw the name of Emilio Muscelli on an office door, I knocked and entered and I said with all my 18 years old enthusiasm (in fact I was not yet 18, I would have turned 18 on December 30) "Hi Emilio, we are Italians and we are here to see Elvis concerts and meet him"... well he took it good to his heart and from that point on he treated me like his daughter - he was 50 years old. We saw 14 concerts in 7 days and we met Elvis TWICE, the first time on August 26 but the pictures Joe Esposito took with Livio's camera did not come out as Livio due the emotion charged an already used film in the camera... the second time on August 28, this time we called a professional photographer to take the 2 pictures to be sure. When I saw Elvis the first time coming out of his dressing room I ran towards him and I almost jumped on him, I hugged and kissed him and he returned the hugs and kisses to me and he asked me "Hey baby how old are you" I answered "18" and he said "And you came all the way from Italy just to see me?" "Yes Elvis" and he "Oh baby..." and he hugged me again very tight. We stayed with him for 15 minutes, we gave him a trophy we brought from Italy unfortunately we have no picture of Elvis with our trophy but I saw it at Graceland Trophy Room in 1987. He wrote a dedication to me, and one to Livio, on 2 LPs we brought with us, he gave us a yellow scarf each, but especially I held his right hand in my hands for a long time, and he did not withdraw it, on the contrary he caressed my hands. He was such a gentle, sweet and tender person, he made us feel at ease and he slowed down speaking English as at that time I could not speak English well. We asked "when will you come to Europe?" he said looking at Joe "I definitely wanna go, after a project I have for January 1973 (Aloha from Hawaii) I'll ask Parker to organize a tour to Europe". The night after Emilio gave us seats in the first row, Elvis saw me from stage and he stooped down and he put a red scarf around my neck... and on August 28 we met him again same place backstage and he said "Hey you are still here, good", he had such a sense of humour. Those 2 meetings with Elvis still are the best moments of my life!
