Hey so uhh it's been a while. (If you look closely, squint a little, I literally made some of these photos over a year ago. I feel SICK. This AU is ancient.)

Here’s the SNL episode once again for the uninitiated.

Okay so hear me out. I know a lot of people were excited to see Caleb discover the batcave yada yada but the #1 rule is No One Figures It Out. Otherwise, the entire point of the series is obsolete and it ends. (Tim does find out ofc but not Caleb. None of the main cast. No OCs.) So he gets let go from babysitting Dick and Jason, mostly because Bruce and Alfred realize their mistake, and he never sees the batcave. RIP. ANYWAYS hope y’all forgive me. Didn’t realize I was implying that until everyone started screaming about it in the comments. Caleb is still blissfully unaware :)

No idea when the next part is coming out. I am currently in an airport banging this out before I convince myself not to post it AGAIN but you guys deserve better. It’s the holidays. So Merry December 19th-ish. Peace :)

That picture of Michael and Tom Hardy...

So I just had to share some more thoughts regarding this picture of Michael and Tom Hardy from the Oliviers in 2004, because there is so much happening here...

This was right after Michael and Kate had broken up, and he was quoted at the time as saying that he was back into dating. I keep thinking about the "and friend" description for Tom Hardy on Getty Images and how that phrase is doing all kinds of work. Given the closeness and the pull between them in this pic, "friend" feels about one step away from "business associate" here, as both terms (and other similar ones) have historically served as coded euphemisms for a same-sex relationship.

What I really love is how much this flies in the face of the "Michael's never publicly been with a man" argument that's been used to dismiss and erase his bisexuality. I know some might say that they didn't "label" whatever this was, so how could you say that they were together...but that's kind of the entire point. That Michael didn't think twice about showing up to an event with a man or how it would look and just let whatever...this was be what it was.

It also speaks to the (what should be common knowledge, but somehow isn't) idea that "official" public relationships listed on Wikipedia are not the only ones that a person has or can have. Those relationships/situationships/FWBs/hookups/whatever you want to call them can happen at any point in time, whether we know about them or not. And when you factor in Michael repeatedly talking about his attractions to men and Tom saying that "I'm actor, of course I have" in reference to having sex with men, it further augments the possibility that something could have happened between them.

As I said in my previous post, I have no idea how I didn't stumble across this picture before now, but I just find it so endlessly intriguing. I'd love to hear what other folks think, though, so feel free to chime in...

Power imbalance

Boss/employee, senior/junior, "you owe me" or "I paid for you" type of thing.

Usually the story doesn't lean into it, like the boss/employee relationships in Jun & Jun, Be Loved in House, and Step By Step. But just the fact that if the boss was a different kind of person it could get messy is enough.

Kidnap is similar - Min doesn't use his position of power to make demands of Q, but he could.

The power imbalances in Fourever You and My Beautiful Man are more subtle, but still good.

In Fourever You, it feels like there's a combination of peer pressure plus Johan using his wealth and status to make demands, that could make it really difficult for North to turn him down if he wanted to.

And in My Beautiful Man, Hira's hero worship and insistence on putting himself 'below' Kiyoi keeps them in a weird sort of self-propelled mutual codependency.

Then you have Bad Guy My Boss and The Novelist, where the bosses do use their positions to back up sexual demands. Different results, but still hawt.

Nuengdiao doesn't use his standing as boss to pressure Palm for sex in Never Let Me Go, but as a viewer, when they did sleep together, I couldn't help but think about how Palm always followed Nuengdiao's lead, and offered everything of himself as Nuengdiao's employee. I wondered whether he really wanted the intimacy, or if he was just going along with it and ended up happy about it.

We Are and My Stand-In use the 'ownership' trope differently, but it's great both ways. Phum is a total brat after Peem agrees to be his slave, but then he starts to feel bad and changes his behavior. And he never uses their agreement to make sexual demands. It’s a fun dynamic for a while.

My Stand-In, on the other hand, is just a bouquet of toxicity. When Ming buys Joe 2.0, he's awful about it. As I've said before, I loved it. I rarely like that level of toxicity, but in this case it was just *chef's kiss*

The new message was from a mere few hours ago: Lucifer is free again, long story. We’re trying to beat him to Kelly and Cas’s location. If you don’t hear from me in the next 24 hours, assume it didn’t work out. At least you don’t have to worry about your own colleagues anymore, huh? Sorry man.

It was news to Mick that the Winchesters had located Kelly, and that Castiel was with her. Guarding her, keeping her imprisoned, both? Either way, he was about to go up against Lucifer alone if the Winchesters didn’t get there fast enough. There was probably only one way that could go.

He immediately started throwing his gear together. The Hyperbolic Pulse Generator was obviously the big-ticket item, not that anyone knew he had that. A handgun and a spare clip of silver bullets, just as a precaution. An angelic blade, which the Winchesters had been happy enough to loan him since they had about a dozen spares. He threw in a med kit and took the bag to the car he’d bought for cash in Kansas and had never actually registered in Washington, an incredibly nondescript fifteen-year-old Toyota Corolla that he suspected might have survived the threatened heat death of the universe last year.

He got in the junker and floored it. He was a mere three hours from North Cove. He wasn’t entertaining any fantasies of showing up as some kind of a hero and getting Castiel’s attention anymore, he’d learned the futility of trying to compete with Dean Winchester. But he also wasn’t going to let the angel die if he could do something to prevent it.

taylor starts a 'exes of the 118 support group'

she tracks down abby (after hearing about her from buck) and tatiana (now that took some digging), she also manages to get eva involved???

but some people were eager to join. ana, ali

others were asked to join

its just a group chat were they talk about whatever, but whenever the 118 does anything crazy (which why does it seem to be a weekly occurrences??) they end up talking about the 118. when times get rough they will also talk about their experiences with dating the 118

maybe in one universe where buck and taylor stay friends she tells him about this. and mention the fact many of them are betting on buddie, so he better make buddie happen so she wins and she'll split the winnings 50/50 (he can share his 50 with eddie)

also, for extra crack, marisol and kim end up becoming texting besties. after they talk about the whole eddie situation. taylor and ana rekindle thier friendship and maybe start dating (buck is the one who breaks the news to eddie and that is what makes eddie realize "wait. maybe i can be gay", natalia ends up winning the buddie bet if so)

tommy is there too and it's really awkward with abby. ali is the one who tells her that maybe she makes people gay. he ends up saying something that made taylor and tatiana call him out for misogyny. natalia wonders how buck could have dated him, and marisol mentioned that perhaps buck didn't know (cause she was around for his bi awakening)

if buck and taylor are still friends (they were amazing friends. i loved thier friendship so much!!!) she'd judge him hard for that. to his face

it will just be a silly fic to make people laugh. and hopefully make people bash some of these people less

no bashing allowed!
