In 2021 I made my short film “Metamorphoses” about an autistic child. Years passed and it got awards and nominations. I am very thankful to everyone who supported me.

I want to make more short films, but don’t have much time since I became mom. But I have some plans I hope to recreate in the future.

Tried a bit of animation, what do you guys think? XD

One thing I miss about 2D animation from Disney is the facial expressions.

Like take Dr. Facilier for example!

He is well a very expressive character!

Each scene we see him in you can see what emotion he's feeling.

Like in this scene where Naveen is brought to him by the shadow demons.

He didn't expect them to make such a ruckus and therefore was surprised.

And in the scene where he gets dragged down to hell or at least before.

We can see the fear in his face!

Like what I'm trying to say is 2D animation was very expressive back in 2009 and the 90s, 80s, 70s etc.

We can see alot more of the emotions flowing through the face of the character's and understanding what they feel!

While I'm not saying 3D is bad or anything but I do miss such animation alot!

Like okay 3D is very fun and cool but it does get old sometimes and you get the rest.

Like we all grew up on such animation and it was very interesting and basically we took inspiration form that and created our own animations!

I am very excited for the new Wish movie that Disney is making for November!

Like it has 3D and 2D animation!

So anyways hope you understood my opinion and hope you're having a good day!

A VISITING STRANGER.

I saw this one recently, it's a very interesting film which is a kind of pastiche of West African folklore. Directed by Michel Ocelot in France, it features a boy named Kirikou (a kid that just walks out of his mother's womb when she gives birth to him) who goes up against an evil sorceress threatening his village. It had trouble finding a wider release in the USA and UK due to non-sexualized nudity common in West African Societies. Definitely give it watch. It's pacing drags and there are some weird choices in the English dub (like constantly using the word "fetish"), but it is an interesting film which at least based on excursions on TikTok, is fondly remembered by French-speaking parts of Africa.
