My 2 new favorite designers, Jordan & Russell, have great ideas for color lovers. This is their highly stylized Victorian home.
Entrance hall- that carpet!
I love designers that do whimsical touches- you can still have a gorgeous room, but lighten it up w/some fun things.
They love to cook and entertain, but I would not want to mess up this kitchen. However, it does look like the appliances are well-hidden and you can just shut those cabinet doors.
Coolest kitchen table.
Open the doors in the kitchen closet and there’s a bright blue office.
In the guest room, they had guests color a My Little Pony picture, then they framed them all and hung them on a Brony gallery wall.
Lockdown project- redoing the master bedroom.
They say that this room, their dressing room, makes them happy. I can see why.
I love this room, b/c I have that print, by one of my favorite artists Maxwell Parrish, in my own bedroom.
Pink tiled bath. I thought small tiles were out of style, but I still them in lots of remodeled baths. Check out their instagram to see their other designs.

Making Living Lovely “Our name came from the post code of our first flat, it ended in 2LG! And to our friends we became known as 2 lovely gays. We were both acting at the time and discovered we had a mutual passion for beautiful interiors and design and our first job together was selling our own textiles at Greenwich Market. When a family member asked us to refurbish their hotel and it was a great success, we decided to give up acting and concentrate on interiors.” - Russell Whitehead, ‘2LG Studio’. Jordan Cluroe and Russell Whitehead’s London-based interior design practice ‘2LG Studio’ was founded in 2013, following Jordan’s appearance as a contestant on the BBC’s ‘Great Interior Design Challenge’. The studio’s designs have been featured in ‘Casa Vogue’, ‘Elle Decoration’, ‘Harper’s Bazaar’, ‘Living Etc’, ‘Grand Designs’ and on Channel 4 and ITV. Cluroe and Whitehead have also collaborated with a number of leading brands, including ‘Ligne Roset’, ‘Natuzzi’, ‘Secret Linen Store’, ‘Brintons Carpets’, ‘Floor Story’ and ‘Graham & Brown’. Their column ‘The House Doctors’ appears in London’s Metro. Their first book ‘Making Living Lovely: Freeing Your Inner Designer’ written by Jordan Cluroe and Russell Whitehead, published by ‘Thames and Hudson’ is out now. #neonurchin #neonurchinblog #dedicatedtothethingswelove #suzyurchin #ollyurchin #art #music #photography #fashion #film #words #pictures #neon #urchin #grahamandbrown #ligneroset #thamesandhudson #makinglivinglovely #interiordesign #jordancluroe #russellwhitehead #2lgstudio (at London, United Kingdom) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_CR6wIAEc0/?igshid=1l0wq9aol883t

Via @dominomag Throughout the past month, Jordan and Russell, the designers behind @2lgstudio, have been schooling us in all things color. They taught us how to bring cohesiveness to a super colorful space, nail a tricky palette, and get the monochrome look. In their final column, they're tackling how to bring pastels into your home. Spoiler alert: All it takes is indulging your inner child. Head to our stories to see more, and tap the link in our bio to read up on all four lessons. PANTONE
Such funky bathrooms brining bold and bright colour palettes that you might not normally see in a bathroom. They feel elegant, sleek and smart but the pop of colour brings a fun to it. Also like the geometric feel it has to it with all the shapes from the furniture and surroundings.
Image 1: “I was inspired by Coco Chanel’s bathroom and designed this based on how I believe she would design a bathroom today.” - Architectural Designer @crosbystudios
Image 2: “Colour is something that is incredibly instinctual to our studio. It is often the starting point for most of our design work. We love to challenge ourselves with colour and push the boundaries of colour combinations too!” - London based Interior Designers @2lgstudio 📷: @megantaylorphotoblog
Image 3: “We love colour and bold shapes. We really pushed our clients outside of their comfort zone but they are thrilled with the results. We wanted something graphic and striking. We designed the blue cabinet and joinery and had them made from plywood and stained blue to really stand out.” From London based Interior Designers @2lgstudio’s upcoming book “Making Living Lovely” 📷: @megantaylorphotoblog

The unusual door trend that’s sweeping social media
So far, 2020 has brought us a lot of paint trends — first came painted floorboards, then painted ceilings and now we are turning our attention to door frames.
Related: Hobbycraft reveals the trend taking over our homes this spring – Mrs Hinch is already a fan!
It seems these colourful frames are the latest trend sweeping Instagram. Over the years we’ve seen colour blocking, feature walls and brightly coloured doors, but this new phenomenon focuses solely on the humble frame.
We can see why it’s so popular. It’s a great way to add interest and colour to a space, without undergoing a complete interior overhaul.
As such a small part of a room, there’s the option to repaint or change it every once in a while — so you can experiment with different colours and designs. It’s also ideal for injecting colour into a space, in a minimalist fashion.
The trend is already taking off on Instagram. Blogger @churchill.drive shared how she used the trend in her house in Scotland, by adding a vibrant yellow shade to her grey-toned room.

After my poll the other day I have decided to keep the neon pink frame mount! I just need to get a proper print for the frame and also get a few more up on the wall. Loving adding more colour throughout the house

Those feeling a little braver can opt for a creative pattern which bleeds out onto the wall — like London-based designers 2lgstudio. Their Instagram page showcases their bright pink door frame with scalloped edges, which protrudes onto the surrounding walls.

Anyone looking to dip their toe in the trend can test out more neutral shades, like grey and cream — especially with a room that’s all-white. Architect Emil Dervish shared on her Instagram a simple yet effective way to get involved with the trend for those who are more colour-shy.

The trend extends to doorways, too. Many interior designers are showcasing their imaginative looks on Instagram — like Paris-based creative Pierre Yovanovitch, who extended his yellow design onto the doorway walls.

Scene 3 Decor: the bedroom This new room does not displease Mlle Oops, it emits an atmosphere tinged with nostalgia. “It must be the bishop’s room”, she thinks to herself. Unless it is hers. An embroidery serves as a kind of headboard, reminding her of Abel’s eye which relentlessly pursued Cain from beyond the grave. Opposite, is a mirror covered in red paint which does not evoke blood, but the bishop’s ambitions. Does he not above all want to swap his violet cassock for that of a red cardinal’s? Still alone, Mlle Oops asks herself: “Does love come when asleep?” She takes a glass of water placed on the bedside table and swallows the pills which were next to it.

The important thing to remember is that painted edges essentially frame a door. So, if you have a colourful door already, painting the frame a simpler colour (like white) will help to highlight it.

Much like the other paint trends we’ve seen this year, there’s room for lots of experimentation — so don’t hold back!
