The concept for my page was to create a meme narrative/timeline, which was a curation of memes together, but also involved characters to bring the narrative alive as a meme in itself. For most people, the wait for franch oceans new album to release was long and exhausting, and the only thing that lestened the blow of every unfulfilled album deadline was a relatable meme. One of the reasons so many people love memes is because it shows that somebody out there, whoever has created, liked or commented on that meme you love, can relate. Like when you see the memes of people struggling in life, or the one of your mum using her pointer finger to scroll through your phone. I want to make this meme narrative from the perspective of one character, and as a whole, I want my picture/meme narrative to form one big meme that insinuates a vicious cycle. after waiting 4 years from the first album, we got 3 separate pieces of work from frank over the span of a weak, so the next time he releases something will most likely be 12 years from now. I want to use SpongeBob Square Pants to be the relatable character in my narrative, the relatable character you empathise with in memes. SpongeBob's journey from the beginning of 'channel orange, to the start of 'blonde' (a transition I want to represent through a gradient background) will stand as a representation of every frank ocean fan from before 2012.
