Andrew still remembers the pipe dream that refused to poof into smoke when he smacked him with an Exy Racquet. Still remembers how thin Neil had been. How dark the bags under his eyes had been. How ratty his clothes were.

had a dream, i was in a kitchen with an older woman and she was planning on making bagels but the kitchen was too cluttered and i think she was hosting a party too but i don't remember anyone else there except for my mother. there was an old bottle of bagel stabilizer that made it so that you didn't have to time the boiling of your bagels. it looked like it was from the 70s. i think she was drinking a negroni. i wanted to make an aperol spritz but i forgot my bottle at home. i think this was in a beach house in florida or somewhere on the coast.

i was in bangkok there was a mall/convention center i was there for work. my friend sj was alive. he looked thinner than i remember. he was living in a high rise near the mall. there was a convention but i don't think it was anime related despite all the weebs and cosplayers. lots of foreigners. sj asked me my name in an elevator full of people. i knew it wasn't him. i still wanted to stay in the dream. my friend aaron came to find me. i tried to hide from him but it didn't take long. he convinced me to come out of the dream. there was a whole portion about pokemon and ash finding ways to turn pokemon into like, hoverboards and jetpacks and shit. one of them was scyther. i don't remember much about it. we left the mall area and were suddenly on a street at night, i misjudged where we were and thought there was a 7/11 nearby, but we passed by a store that sold old games and movies and a golf store but eventually the urbanization gave out and it was just an old farm road. we turned around and walked back and there was a full moon, i tried to take a picture for my girlfriend but was distracted by a large burned out building. we kept walking with the crowd until we reached a blocked off street on a hillside, we could see the lights of bangkok proper off in the distance, miles away. i had a feeling there was a military blockade down the road and we turned back. when we got back to the mall it was still light outside and i retraced my steps to the monorail system that took us back to the city. and that's all i remember.

Kevin says nothing but does put a pen on the bench awkwardly. It rolls due to Kevin's numb handling and they all watch as it falls off the bench and onto the ground. Josten takes a moment to stare at it before he bent down and grabbed it from where it landed. "Thanks for the pen." he says.

"Yeah sure." Kevin says.

"Don't your parents need to look the contract over?" Wymack asks hoping for at least a little bit of insight since Coach Hernandez couldn't figure out the situation.

"I'm 18." Neil says settling the contract down onto the bench and starting to sign and initial.

He didn't offer anything further.
