Hey! I've been searching for this fic for ages and I just can't find it 😭 It was on AO3 and fairly long as far as I can remember. Anyway it was post-war and many slytherins/pureblood families were leaving Britain because of new policies that were made by the ministry. I specifically remember a bit about Pansy's family not being able to afford to replace/change an old type of boiler. Also I remember that Harry was talking to Slughorn and found out that he was leaving too. I think Harry was an auror but I'm not sure about that, he may have been in some other job to do with the ministry. I'm pretty sure Hermione was part of writing the new policies. I also seem to remember that there was business men/property people who were taking advantage of the fact that the policies were unintentionally targeting poorer purebloods/slytherins an buying up lots of property cheaply but I'm not 100% sure about that.

I'm not crazy, they're real. Goddammit they are real.

Rushed me the moment they saw me, snarling like animals. They look like corpses but don't smell rotted.

I'll be putting them out of their misery. Doing for them what I never could for myself.

Still many changes to be made to be sure, but I wanted to get the girls outta the way first because they are (way) easier for me to draw. (Just the nature of the beast for me) It’s funny to see how the designs in Aliea have changed though, even if it’s just slight.
