-Learn a new skill or hobby.

-Walk or run 25 kilometers (through out the week or in one go).

-Try a new workout routine or sport.

-Cook 5 healthy meals from scratch.

-Drink 2 liters of water every day for a week.

-Take a self-care day at least once every month!

-Do 5 random acts of kindness (big or small, it doesn't matter).

-Volunteer or contribute to a cause you care about.

-Reconnect with an old friend or make a new one, expand your connections and surround yourself with people that fuel your energy.

-Write thank-you notes to people who’ve impacted your life, make sure you tell people you appreciate them (what goes around comes around).

-Donate or declutter 25 items you no longer need, it helps you start afresh for the new years and make more space for new things to come.

Readathon 2025 - Read 50-100 Short Books Challenge 🏆📚

Hey Writers and Readers! I hope to make 2025 the year that I read 50 books, possibly even 100 books! I set out to challenge myself to focus on reading short books as a way to make room to read more books. I'm not only going to challenge myself, but open the door to anyone who would like to join in. I set up the Read More Books by Reading Short Books in 2025 Challenge on Storygraph. If you have a Storygraph account, feel free to follow/friend me. When you join the challenge, you can earn badges as you read more books. When you reach milestones, you unlock the privilege to use the applicable badge in this post. Hi!

I'm new to this platform as a creator, so let me introduce this account. I am an "amateur artist", which means it's my hobby and I like to share its results. I know, my works may not be the best but that's not the point, I just want to have fun. I'm going to post here my sketches, drawings and other things related to my passion. I'm still a high school student so posts won't appear too often or too regularly but I'll try to post something whenever possible.

So here's a few things about me and the content that I will be posting. I'm a huge fan of comic books and manga. Also I love reading books, watching anime, series and films, also animated ones, so expect a lot of fanarts but not only that.

So far I have only been active in the media on instagram under the name _herbata.z.rumiankiem_ (it would be very nice if you could check it out) but I decided to try this platform because I feel like the atmosphere here is much better.

Fight the Algorithm

In 2025, I want to challenge myself to change the way algorithms promote content to me across ALL my social media!

I won't engage with posts I dislike or disagree with. I will bock the person immediately

I will mentally note why I blocked someone: did they post an opinion I disagree with? Or do they simply make content I don't like?

I will counteract the post. For example, if someone posted a homophobic video, I will go to my favourite LGBTQ+ content creator's page and comment something encouraging! Or did I block someone for posting AI generated images? I will go comment on my favourite artist's recent post!

My main focus is to "block and move on". I may not always reach step 2 and 3 but I am going to try!

No more interacting with rage bait!

If you decide to join me in 2025, good luck to you!! This is something I really want to do for the sake of my mental health, but also to try and make the internet a more positive space for me again ♡

This is kind of brilliant, and necessary.

A group of adult entertainment actors is about to spend $100,000 in the next 29 days running anti-Project 2025/anti-Trump ads on adult websites targeting their male audiences in seven battleground states: Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada.

Why?

Page 5 of the 920 page Project 2025 manifesto says of pornography:

It has no claim to First Amendment protection. ... Pornography should be outlawed. The people who produce and distribute it should be imprisoned. Educators and public librarians who purvey it should be classed as registered sex offenders. And telecommunications and technology firms that facilitate its spread should be shuttered.

Now whether or not you approve of the porn industry, it's clear that Project 2025 is talking about a much broader thing: whatever these right-wing zealots determine to be "pornographic." Note how teachers and librarians are mentioned specifically. Some bookbanners have called children's books pornographic simply for featuring a lgbtq character.

Closer to tumblr's heart, smutty fanfic and fanfic sites would certainly be swept up if Project 2025 ever came to pass.

So kudos to the adult film stars for stepping up and spreading the word.
