I know this is a long shot but has Cait ever been on an EMMY prediction list? Usually she was on the GG. Amazed that she is here even if not in the top 6.

Thanks for the message, Anon. 😃
Your link includes Variety’s predictions of nominees in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series category for the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards. Nominations will be announced on 17 July and the Emmys awarded on 15 September.
Variety included this photo in its story published yesterday, 11 April 2024:

It’s not a long shot, as you suggest. To date, she’s never been nominated, but predictions lists have included Caitríona’s name every Outlander season. Here are some examples:
The Wrap 2015 / Season 1
E! News 2016 / Season 2
Awards Watch 2018 / Season 3
Spoiler TV 2019 / Season 4
Gold Derby 2020 / Season 5
We Are Actors (Variety) 2022 / Season 6
Variety 2024 / Season 7
Outlander has been nominated four times.

Regarding 2024 Emmys for Drama, Variety has published its predictions lists for Drama Series, Lead Actor, and Lead Actress. The lists for Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, Directing, Writing, and Casting are pending. Maybe we’ll see more Outlander representation in those five categories? 🍿
Remember… I'm thinking about naming my first son Emmy so I can say I've got one. I want Emmy, Oscar, and Tony - and my daughter Grammy. — Noah Wyle
😂 According to IMDb, Noah Wyle has two children, sons, and neither is named Emmy. He received five Emmy nominations for playing Dr John Carter on ER.

Emmy Prediction 2024 Lead Actor (Limited)
Benedict Cumberbatch “Eric”
Michael Douglas “Franklin”
Jon Hamm *** “Fargo”
Tom Hollander “Feud: Capote...”
Hiroyuki Sanada “Shо̄gun”
Andrew Scott “Ripley”
Oh interesting. What a fiercely good category in an otherwise lackluster year of TV! I did declare 2024 the year of Andrew Scott way back in December 2023 and even though I didn’t like Vanya if he wins an Olivier and an Emmy back to back it’ll be so iconic and such a deserved apology for the lack of Oscar/BAFTA nom.
All that said I find it so weird that we can now predict award nominees when multiple shows haven’t even been released yet and don’t even have reviews out yet. I’d rather we pretended it was a real nomination race

"...Andrew Scott, I just noticed, maybe because of All of Us Strangers - I'm not exactly sure - but I just noticed that there is SO much admiration for this guy; SO much love. And I think the turning point for me was when I was in person for the Gotham Awards, and everybody thought that Richard Gadd was going to win, you know, that prize, and it went to Andrew Scott instead. And it just has me wondering if there is something else going on here with regards to there just being a change here. Like, I don't feel great about it, and I do agree that Richard Gadd winning writing, acting and just being up on that stage multiple times could very easily easily happen; I could totally see it, but outside of maybe, you know, a category or two, this feels like a great place to also acknowledge Ripley, but even more so, a place to just recognise Andrew Scott who - don't you guys feel like he's been on this forward momentum-building trajectory that feels like it's peaking now in terms of his overall popularity?"
"...I think this guy's got an Oscar in him, if he gets the right role...I don't think it's like a now-or-never sort of situation for Andrew Scott; I feel like he'll be back...he's finally breaking through to the mainstream in a way that he hasn't in a while. He's no longer the Hot Priest, right - now he's Andrew Scott. And I feel like he's got plenty more chances in him...Andrew Scott - you know he's got a lot more projects coming up..."

variety,com/lists/2024-golden-globes-awards-predictions/film-categories-3/ ... Look at the predicted nominees for best actor in a TV drama series. 🤔
I saw a couple of predictions, including Variety, that had Tom as a nominee for GG. So fingers crossed! However after what happened last time, I am a bit scared, but showbiz tend to forget pretty fast (in Tom´s case, it sadly is not always the truth, but mostly because the Swift fiasco is beaten like a dead horse by tabloids and her fans, otherwise people would have forgotten already)
Honestly, I'm only kind of hopedicting it myself, mostly because genre stuff doesn't generally do well in awards shows. But the GGs are a little more forgiving.
I would say there are three locks for nominations in the category - Kieran Culkin, Jeremy Strong and Pedro Pascal. After that, for the other three slots, it could potentially be any three of 6-8 actors, imo. And all of them have some things that could play into not getting a nomination (Brian Cox in too few episodes of Succession this season for lead? Is The Crown as popular as it used to be? Hijack had lousy audience scores, and not as many viewers as Loki, which also has recency bias working for it, as does The Curse... but maybe only Emma Stone gets a nomination for that.)
So it wouldn't surprise me if he got in, but it also wouldn't surprise me if he didn't.
It has been kind of fun to watch his odds on Gold Derby improve since the Critics' Choice announcement, though, no matter what. And Emmys will be a different pool of candidates.

What are your Stranger Things 2024 predictions? Not like "What do you think will happen in ST?" NO. I'm talking: What do you think will be leaked this year? What drama do you think will take place? What rumors do you think will end up being true? What promo do you think we will get? Any scandals? Will the show/actors win awards? If so what awards or acors? I want hot tea predictions.
Sincerely, Prediction anon
Well this is a fun ask!
I think we’re gonna get some BTS pics, both leaked and posted by the writers/cast.
I also think we’ll maybe get some interviews of the cast talking about the season and perhaps revealing something.
I HOPE there’s no drama. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if some feelings run high because of the last season and that causes some drama. But hopefully they’ll have fun time filming!
Honestly, I don’t think we’ll get much promo next year. ST day being the exception. On ST day I think we’ll get the episode titles and estimated runtimes (because I believe the current estimates will change). And also more BTS pics because filming is probably mostly done by then.
I hope the cast wins awards but honestly I know nothing about american awards. I know there’s Emmy’s but they can’t win that next year for 2022 shows and I don’t know if the cast has been doing something else they could win those (or Oscars for films) for.
Idk about any scandals either. As a byler shipper the only thing I can think of is reddit getting mad over accidentally leaked byler proof 😅. I think they’ll try to hide and not talk about anything related to that, like they’ve been doing so far, but I have a feeling that something may leak…
If they get everything going swiftly, there’s a chance we’ll get the trailer and the release date by the end of 2024 too! I could see netflix prioritizing ST and making the production as fast as possible. Which is great as longs as the rush doesn’t affect quality!
Oh, one thing that could maybe cause some drama is if Millie decides to get married and therefore have time off work during the busy year of filming. But I haven’t seen any signs of her planning the wedding for next year. Some people also were annoyed by Jake constantly being on set last time, but idc about that. But you wanted predictions so drama around that I could see happening, maybe.
But honestly I hope there’s no drama and no scandals and no delays and a lot of BTS and promo.
Thank you for the ask!

You think Tom may be nominated for a Emmy tmrw there announcing the nominations
Hey Anon, I'll be honest, I have been looking online at Emmy nod predictions, and unfortunately I haven't seen Tom's name or "The Crowded Room" being mentioned in conversation for the upcoming Emmys, but I'm crossing my fingers anyway!
Tumblr media
I actually feel that Tom's performance in TCR at least deserves a nomination! 😃 It's just such a shame the critics slammed the series so badly. 😔
I've been looking at predictions and a lot of times you tend to see a certain pattern, and the same projects being listed over and over again, so usually it's not too much of a surprise when the nominations actually get announced.
I will keep hope for tomorrow though. 🙏🏾
In the meantime, be careful not to confuse our Tom Holland with actor "Tom Hollander" tomorrow! I have seen his name being mentioned in the predictions list for Lead Actor in a Series lol. Don't want anyone to get too excited if they announce his name tomorrow lol 😅
Tumblr media
I'll be honest, there are a LOT of things on these Emmy prediction lists that I have not even heard of, let alone watched lol. 😅

2024 Emmy Awards: Standout Jewelry Looks from the Men
2024 Emmy Awards: Standout Jewelry Looks from the Men
As the 2024 Emmy Award season rolled out, brooches were back in full force, flaunting their status as the go-to accessory for men. However, the 2024 Emmy men’s red carpet was far from predictable, with surprising jewelry choices making waves. Think outside the box: a brooch replacing the traditional bow tie and a charm bracelet making a cool appearance in a jacket pocket. These creative twists…

The Traitors beats RuPaul's Drag Race at the Emmy Awards
New Post has been published on https://qnews.com.au/the-traitors-beats-rupauls-drag-race-at-the-emmy-awards/
The Traitors beats RuPaul's Drag Race at the Emmy Awards
Alan Cumming’s The Traitors has beaten RuPaul’s Drag Race at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards today (AEST).
Drag Race is the most awarded reality show in Emmy history, but it’s just not their year this year.
In the Outstanding Reality Competition Program category, The Traitors US beat Drag Race.
Alan Cumming accepted the trophy while wearing a medal featuring the colours of the trans flag on his chest as he accepted the trophy.
“We are so grateful because we are a new show, and when [the Emmys] like something, you tend to stick to it, which is good quality, but we appreciate it all the more,” Alan said.
Alan Cumming also thanked everyone at the castle where they film The Traitors giving a shoutout to “the cast and crew who work so hard and get so wet by the Scottish weather.”
“I also want to thank Scotland, I owe it everything and it’s such a beautiful co-star,” Alan said.
“I also want to thank Holland because so many of these shows, like The Traitors, were first made in Holland.
“They obviously have something in the water, so let’s find it. Let’s drink it and all America’s problems will be solved.”

A week ago at the earlier Creative Arts Emmys, Alan Cumming also won the Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Program Emmy for his camp turn hosting The Traitors.
Alan’s win ended RuPaul’s 8-year Emmy streak as host of Drag Race.
