The last few years, I've posted a fun little recap of how much fic I wrote, what cons I went to, and what have you.

Well, tbh I don't have any of that this year. Yeah a large part is not wanting to figure out how to do the math on how much I wrote (figuring out one year out of three is SO MUCH harder than one year out of two. Yes I COULD do it but I don't have the mental energy. Too much selecting and counting.)

I guess for a mini con recap, not counting furry cons bc those aren't submas, I went to 6 cons this year: Anime LA, PAX East, Anime Boston, Fan Expo Boston, PortCon, and ConnectiCon. I didn't get to go to a couple smaller ones due to life stuff, sadly, but the cons I did get to go to were wonderful!

So yeah, once January had passed, this year was.... A rough one.

Starting in March, this year didn't pull any punches. I had to move on short notice in August, which was one of the most exhausting things I have ever done. I had so many things that were awful for my mental health, often happening right after awesome things happened (so I had NO time to enjoy those awesome things because I had to focus on fixing XYZ.)

So I am happily going into the new year. I know there's... Things in the world at large that are hanging on a scale of "less than ideal" to "outright awful" but I still have hope that maybe I can have a better year personally.

I'm ringing in the new year at a cosplay event as Emmet. Maybe that'll bring me some luck, hm?

As long as no one calls me "the other one" this time.
