Edwardian Ball 2024. a success. good times. pleased with my new sketchbook. moved by the performances. love how it's constantly evolving. looking forward to next year.

#that fucking handskirt remains the coolest thing I own (purchased at a previous ball -- Jan 2020 in fact)#really love how my dyed skirts are building out the rest of the outfit - improving it bit by bit every year #the creator of the belt stopped me in the hall- moved by the sight of one of her old creations still in use #(she stressed that she'd moved on from re-using the pants- ignoring my attempt to highlight I enjoyed that bit)#wild to think there's still new bits of the building to explore #edwardian ball #photography #my shoes hurt this year so I camped out on Sunday on the edge of the stage.... and was rewarded

#parcel lockers i love you #in one package there is fabric. one to sew inside my granny square bag and other i bought impulsively and will try to make a skirt out of #and the second one has my ma and ba theses printed out #yes i finished my uni education 2 years ago yes i only just printed out my theses #i defended my ba in july 2020 which. speaks for itself #and masters in 2022. and the uni didn't want a physical copy of my thesis so i just kinda forgot to print it out #but hell. having them printed out will make me feel more intelligent so

Just as an outsider observing other people's gifsets, it's hilarious to me that Bridgerton has this reputation of putting a "sexy" spin on the period drama, but they keep adding underpants where there don't need to be underpants. 😂. Because I need you to understand that people in the Regency period were just going commando. All the time.
