今年もあと数分で終わり、新しい年がやってきます。

去年はこんなことになるなんて想像もできないような大変な一年となりましたが、ありがたいことに濃い仕事をいくつかやらせていただくことができました。

色んな事を見つめ直す機会ではあったけれど、結局のところ自分の好きな事を続けてきて今があるので、あまり難しく考えず、自分のやりたい事を来年もしっかりとやっていこうと思います。

あと、なにか新しい事始めようと思ってめちゃくちゃ個人的な映像を撮りはじめました。時間が空いた時にちょこちょこと作っているので暇な時に覗いてみてください。

10枚選ぶつもりが12枚。ここ数年は新しい音楽は12インチを中心に聴いていたのですが、発売されてもレコードがなかなか日本に入ってこない状況があり、買ったLPをじっくり聴くことが増え、結局Spotifyでもレコードで買ったものを聴いていた。概念としてのアンビエントのような音楽ばかり買った気がする。

なぜかこれまで知らなかったK-Lone。Studio BarnhusのDJ配信で“Honey”がかかっていて、素敵な環境音とわくわくビートで密林に探検しに行くような楽しさがあった。iPhoneの内蔵スピーカーでも、お風呂のBluetoothスピーカーでも、ヘッドホンでも、（きっと）爆音のダンスフロアでも鳴りがいいと思う。

ミニマル・アンビエント・テクノのEfdemin名義も最高なPhillip Sollmannは、電子楽器は一切使用されていないそうで、方法としては現代音楽とか実験音楽のようでも、小難しいことは考えずに、無心になる、これが瞑想ってやつか？　響きに響きが加わる空間がお寺のよう、なんとも言えない美しさに引き込まれる。サンレコWEBに載ってた原雅明さんの解説は読み応えあり。

ノスタルジックなものでは、『X-ファイル』のマイナーな登場人物Cindyの世界観で、「Memories of Cindy」12インチ3部作（2017年）だけでは飽き足らず、追加でドリーミーなアルバムを作ってしまった、Palmbomen IIとCindy役のめっちゃかわいいBlue LoLãnちゃん（調べてたら母親が『ツイン・ピークス』に出演してたんだって）。レコードを買うと、zineにポスターにキスマークとサイン��り紙ナプキンまでつけてくる不気味なコンセプト勝ち。Kornél Kovácsがアンビエントmix（2014年）で『X-ファイル』のテーマをいきなりかけてたのを思い出した。Khotinも90s和製ホラーやら平成ゴジラでかかるような映画音楽みたいで童心に帰らせてくれる。このへんはMusic From Memoryから出たコンピ『Virtual Dreams（Ambient Explorations In The House & Techno Age, 1993-1997）』あたりに私の脳内で繋がっていく。

MAÂTはちょっと地味だけど、聴けば聴くほど安心できるオーガニック感。Radiohead『In Rainbows』の頃に近い雰囲気もあるような？　Andrasが届いたのは春で、新芽のように小さくて柔らかさがあって、自分のために鳴らされるささやかなレイヴって感じにキュンときた。天才だと思っているポーランドのPejzażことBartosz Kruczyńskiさん、Shall Not FadeからEarth Traxとして2枚のアルバム、本名で過去ワークスもリリースしていたので多作すぎ。どれも良いのですがハウスとアンビエントなPejzażがいちばん好き。

ハウス側から名前だけは知っていたDan Kye、アルバムを聴いてみるといいな〜なんかジャズっぽいな〜と思ってたら、ジャズ寄りソウルなSSWのJordan Rakeiの変名だと理解。Larry Heardの最新ツアーでサポートを務め、2019年にはもうグラストンベリーのステージに立っていたPaul Cut。これまでのリリースではフランスのハウス人脈のようで、インタビューによると今はポルトガルにお住まいのよう。ジャズのテクニックで鍵盤を弾きまくることができる人だが、ブレイクビーツ疾走したりゆるボサノヴァになったり緩急つけたリズムで通して楽しめる、プロデューサーとして素晴らしいファースト・アルバムになっている。推していきたい。ジャズとエレクトロニック・ミュージックの接近は2021年も気になる。

今年アゲてくれた音楽といえば、やはりDua Lipa。The Blessed Madonnaのmix『Club Future Nostalgia』と2枚組になったデラックス・エディションが普通に地元のTSUTAYAで買えたのがうれしかった。ハウスからモロ影響を受けたポップスが楽しいGeorgiaや、私は止まることを知らないエレクトロ・ディスコ・マシーンRóisín Murphy（ってディスクユニオンの商品ページに書いてあった。Molokoは全然知りませんでした……）、Avalon Emersonの傑作mix『DJ-KICKS』、ついに出たThe XXのRomyソロ曲“Lifetime”とか、スーパーガールズグループZoomgals“生きてるだけで状態異常”あたりも並べて聴くと、問答無用で踊りたくなり、（ギャルっぽく）ウチらの音楽！　という気分になれた。
