Does Majority Actually Rule?

If majority truly ruled, we wouldn’t be stuck with the ongoing nightmare that is the orange turd. Back in 2016, Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by nearly three million, and under a system where true majority rule prevailed, she would have taken office. The QMAGA lunacy—those rabid cries of 'Stop the Steal,' conspiracy theories, and violent tantrums—might have been snuffed out in its infancy. Instead, what actually governs this country is a patchwork of archaic and deeply flawed systems—mechanisms explicitly designed to cheat, disenfranchise, and favor the entrenched power of wealthy elites and their obedient base.

Take gerrymandering, for example. Districts are twisted into obscene, nonsensical shapes to ensure that certain votes carry far more weight than others, diluting the influence of dissenting voices and creating the illusion of choice. It’s a grotesque mockery of democracy, all while the charade of 'representative government' carries on for the masses. But let’s not kid ourselves—the Electoral College is the most egregious relic of this system, a rusted cog in the machinery of democratic decay. It's a mechanism so broken that its failures have become a predictable farce, celebrated only when a Republican ekes out a rare popular vote win—such moments are so unusual, they become their own news cycles.

Consider the 2020 election: Joe Biden won the popular vote by over 7 million votes—a staggering 81.3 million (51.3%) to Donald Trump’s 74.2 million (46.8%). Despite this, Biden's margin of victory in the Electoral College was only 306 to 232. Fast forward to 2024. Trump narrowly won the popular vote with 74.7 million votes (50.5%) against Kamala Harris’s 71 million (48%). And yet, suddenly, he’s awarded 312 Electoral College votes to Harris’s 226. This stark discrepancy—a narrow popular vote lead yielding an outsized electoral win—lays bare the inherent distortion within the system.

Sure, Trump won the popular vote this time around, a rare occurrence for Republicans, who have routinely lost it for decades. But when the popular vote handed Biden a decisive win in 2020, many on the right simply couldn’t handle it. Cue the insurrectionist tantrums at the Capitol, an embarrassing display of fragility masquerading as patriotism. All because they couldn’t accept that both the flawed Electoral College system and the popular vote had gone against them. Spare us the sanctimonious civics lessons and cries of "majority rules." Your hypocrisy is glaring when you invoke majority rule only when it serves your narrative. The reality? Any criticism, dissent, or inconvenient fact is dismissed with cries of fraud—introspection be damned.

The truth is, for many who scream about democracy and freedom, genuine democratic rule is their worst nightmare. It’s not about representing the majority’s will; it’s about maintaining power through any means necessary. Twisting rules, exploiting systemic rot, and gerrymandering their way to victory, all while claiming moral superiority. Gerrymandering, voter suppression, and the Electoral College are tools wielded to amplify minority rule and silence opposition. When it works in your favor, you celebrate. When it doesn’t, you rage against the system and pretend to be its victim. It’s all part of the grotesque machinery, and the numbers don’t lie: a 7 million popular vote lead netted Democrats a fragile 306-232 Electoral College win, while a 3.7 million vote lead for Republicans in 2024 inflated to 312-226. That grotesque imbalance isn’t a triumph; it’s a stark reminder of how deeply broken and manipulable the system is.

So, by all means, celebrate your so-called 'win' in 2024. The clock is ticking toward 2026, and every second that passes exposes the hollow victory for what it is—a testament to a system rigged to distort and magnify small victories while disregarding the broader will of the people. Don’t delude yourself into thinking it’s a triumph of majority rule. It’s a masterclass in gaming a decaying system, a desperate clinging to power that betrays just how terrified you are of genuine democracy.

We spoke exclusively with the British star who went from being a teenage pop idol to a professional footballer, and finally to consolidating his own more mature and rock sound. I feel like my Spanish is coming back! I almost knew what you were asking (laughs). I'm very excited, I feel very lucky to be able to perform in a venue that size on my... well, technically my second solo tour. I feel very grateful to have that love and passion here. Mainly I feel very excited for these shows.

- In several of your songs on “Faith in the future”, you talk about nostalgia, changes and the passage of time. Are these themes that you think about frequently or do they only arise when composing?

Yes, I would say I'm a bit of a deep thinker, I think it helps me as a songwriter, but I also think nostalgia is a great thing to write about, it's a great thing to feel about as a listener and also to write about as a songwriter. And I'm also interested in psychology, so anything that makes the brain feel a certain way, I think is interesting.

- What would the 32-year-old Louis, with a second successful album under his arm and a new tour, say to the teenager who applied for The X Factor in 2010?

I would insist that he should do it. I think there's definitely an element, in every young person in that situation, there's something very scary that makes you want to go. But I would also tell him, what I have learned the most, to trust his instincts, trust that feeling and be brave to make decisions, the right decisions for yourself.

- Among those decisions is being the last member of 1D to go solo, and today we are here with “Faith in the future” which has a sound that is 100% yours. Looking back, how do you see the path you have traveled?

I feel very comfortable. The mindset I have now feels very different than when I started this journey as a solo artist. I feel very blessed to be able to continue making music. But it's also a very nice feeling and it's something very new for me to feel so comfortable on stage and so comfortable when I'm making the music I want to make. Overall, yes, I am very happy.

-Louis, I imagine there must have been a moment in your career when you said, wow, I did it!

You know, I used to resist that idea, because for some reason, I don't know, I never wanted to give myself that. But I've had it, I've started trying to have those moments for myself. It often happens during concerts, it can be something that fans did together, like entertaining fan projects. But also, even when I played the festival now in Mexico, that was one of those moments. I was a little nervous going out and the crowd was so big, people looked like they were having a good time. So yeah, it was amazing.

- Now that you mentioned the fan project, when you came to Chile your followers prepared one for the song “Kill my mind” that was beautiful, how did you experience it from the stage?

I had no idea what was going to happen! I know that fans often do fan projects, in a way to do something entertaining for me and something unique in each show, but I didn't know what to expect. And to be honest, I remember getting goosebumps, it was an incredible show. And, again, always in these concerts, and especially in Latin America, there are not ten people, everyone in the venue is participating! It's a very euphoric thing to see from the stage for me.

- Changing the subject, football is one of your passions, what place does it occupy in your life today?

I would say that definitely, before I was in the band, nothing came close in my life, football was everything to me, now music is. I absolutely love football, but for me nothing comes close to music. Obviously it's my job, that's important, but as a fan, I'm speaking more like a fan, I probably don't watch enough football these days, I'm usually busy, but I catch up on the highlights. ). It's still a big part of my life, especially when England plays. I'm excited for the upcoming Euro Cup, we're going to win it!

- Of course! You are the fathers of football. Finally, what makes you most happy today?

Family, definitely, family and friends. And specifically in my work world, it's live concerts, that gives me amazing feelings.

Published in 2020, it's an insanely popular MG GN in an insanely popular series that has sold tens of millions of copies. This installment alone has sold 2.5 million copies. It has 7,816 ratings on GoodReads.

It has 492,584 ratings on GoodReads. Her more popular have GR ratings numbers in the millions -- whereas Dav Pilkey, who again, in the real world, sells significantly better than Maas, has ratings that hover in the low thousands across the board.

So to recap: 1) GoodReads just isn't catering toward kids/MG/GN readers; 2) The world in general treats kids/MG/GN books as less-than and "not real" books, this is more of the disrespect we are used to. 3) GR is trash -- er, I MEAN, GR is not an accurate reflection of the real world and real readers. 4) Kids books and GN are not going anywhere.

I Quit The Loud House Fandom

Yeah I Know That people are obsessed with this show. and i know they obsessed with little things and defend them like it's a gift from God or Jesus Christ. to be honest, every cartoon and animation shows and movies can have toxic communities and fans. like My Little Pony, (The Brony Community And Fandom), Which I hate My Little Pony. the fandom of Disney's Zootopia and etc. about The Loud House Fandom. I was Like. Oh My Fucking God! why does my favorite show on Nickelodeon next to Spongebob Squarepants has a Toxic Fandom And Toxic Fans. that is not quite as the fandom of My Little Pony. Although these shows don't mix. Like Come On! The Loud House Is Like A Masterpiece Of The Modern Nickelodeon, The Animation Looks Clean And Fresh. However, There's one who caused this mess! The Fandom Is not worth it. and it's just dangerous and intoxicated. now before you all go Like, *Peter, I thought you liked The Loud House* Well I Do. i do like The Loud House, it's once again My favorite show on Nickelodeon next to Spongebob Squarepants. i am not turning back on the show as a whole. i just hate it's toxic fandom of the show. and I'll tell you why've i decided to quit this dangerous fandom of the show. they're group of the fans of the show who tending to ruin the show for others. make those stupid fanfics. and stupid fanarts just makes me wanna go to the bathroom and barf in the toilet. hey! the fandom at least has some good fanfics from other users. but some of them are bad. and etc. however, there also toxic shippers that includes Ronniecoln Shippers. i just can't believe that i shipped it in the past. since 2016 and 2018. but now, since 2019 and 2020. i stopped shipping it since it's getting old and intoxicated. those stupid shippers don't give a shit about that fact. and keep shipping it for stupid and dumb reasons. the fandom also keep on whining over the show losing the Kids Choice Awards to Spongebob Squarepants. Don't get me wrong. The Loud House did won The Kids Choice Awards in 2018 in mexico which was before Teen Titans GO! to the movies released in theaters. i know that i'm kind of suspicious that Spongebob Keeps on winning all the Kids Choice Award's. he sometimes loses In Kids Choice Awards. don't get me wrong. i also like Spongebob Squarepants. since it's part of my childhood, and also my favorite show on Nickelodeon. The Fandom Keeps On Framing On Spongebob Over The Loud House Not Winning the Kids Choice Awards. the toxic is not only the Ronniecoln is the intoxicated couple of the fandom. but also is Loudcest. i was like, Holy Shit! who came up with that stupid fucking idea?! shipping a main character with one of the siblings. this doesn't make any god damn sense. shipping other toxic couples. even other fanbrats keep on attacking on someone who disagrees or even quited the fandom. and this goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on. Boring. I too find it weird that the same people talking about Johanne used to describe MK, Rikke, and Fanny the same exact way. Down to the same wording. Except they used to go after MK'S tattoos like they're a bad thing. People were awful about her, and the rest. Now Johanne and his family and friends are getting it too.

My Review of Snowfall Series Final

Hey, guys, so, I watched the final episode and season of the TV crime drama series Snowfall, and I decided to share my thoughts on it on my blog. First, I going to give my positive review on the show Snowfall, and I considered one of the best crime drama series in the late 2010s and early 2020s, if not, all times. This show is well written, the directing is great, and the character development is incredible. John Singleton, who passed away on April 28, 2019, brought this show to the upper level where there are other TV shows became popular, especially in this timeline, and I’m glad they paid homage to John Singleton at the end of the final. The cast and crew did great for making this show that it deserved to be praise positively from viewers. The actors and actresses should be awarded, too. 

Now, here’s my review on Snowfall final, and, speaking to those who haven’t watched it, there’s going to be some spoilers. I think it’s great, but it’s depressing, but it’s great. Damson Idris, who played as Franklin Saint, did an amazing job with this performance, he should be awarded for this acting. The protagonist and anti-hero, Franklin Saint, he gone from being a good kid at the very first season of the show to a drug dealer, to a drug lord, and consequently, to a homeless drunk. So, yeah, Franklin ruined his own life, ended up like his father, Alton, whom Franklin saved at the very early seasons, and now, he don’t care about him at the series final. All that over fucking 73 million dollars. Franklin should have taken his mother’s, Cissy, advise, just walk away from all this, away from the drug trade and the money they made from trafficking drugs. Cissy got involved in it, too, but at least she made a choice on walked away to Cuba with Alton, never look back. It was great for them until Teddy killed Alton when he told the truth about the CIA, who Teddy is a member of, involved in drug trafficking, especially flooding the black neighborhoods, such as in Compton, LA, with crack cocaine; destroying people lives and homes. Yes, it happened in real life and they still doing it. How? Because there are black crooks (I’m saying this as a black man) facilitates the drug trade in the black community. That’s right, there are black scumbags in the black communities helps the system(government) bring the drugs and guns into the communities; they provide the drug dealers with narcotics, distributing them to the other dealers and the peddlers selling them on the streets, alleys, and inside their house or trap house. They’re destroying their own community and still are.

So, yeah, Teddy is based on that fact, he’s a CIA, a U.S. government agency, made deal with a lower level drug peddler, Franklin, after Teddy kidnapped him and Leon. This is the first time they met. Now, after all the money they gained by ruined innocent lives with drugs, they lend themselves to their downfall. This is all Teddy’s fault, he’s one of the main substances of consequently actions that led to chaos that is inevitable. I’m glad Cissy killed him, because he’s one the courses of all this. And this is also Franklin’s fault, too, but it’s also his family and friends’ fault, included Cissy. Think about, even if they never met and deal with Teddy, they would have still deal drugs, and there probably are other drug dealers out there, in or outside their neighborhood. Saint’s family should have been walk away from the drug trade, at least they should have have invest their money into properties and businesses, make sure they’re legit. At least Alton came to his conscious and realized they’re destroying their community. At least he tried to reason with Cissy, Franklin, and the rest of the family and encourage them to leave the drug trade, leave this life. At least Cissy listened to him, but most of them got too greedy and they ended up divided among themselves. Franklin regretted hitting his father when he tried to get them out of the crime life, Frank loved his father back then, now, in the series final, he doesn’t care about him, at all. He doesn’t care that either Teddy killed him or not. Cissy cares about Alton, she wants to know what happened to him as she wants revenge on Teddy for have something to do with Alton’s missing. She even tried too encouraged Franklin too leave the drug trade and drug money that he wanted. But Franklin had lost it. He let his greed, pride, and paranoia consumed him, which it led to his downfall. 

It is sad that things ended this way, at least, fortunately, two of the main characters made it out. Cissy is in jail for killing Teddy, which I believe Teddy deserves it, it’s his fault; Gus finally got out of the grip of the DEA, CIA, Cartels, and Franklin, and gone to live his life and see his girlfriend and kids; Aunt Louie is still being chase by the fed; Leon went to Ghana with his girlfriend; and now, Franklin is homeless, drunk, and I think he’s becoming a junkie. So, that’s how it ends for the protagonist, eh? Even he’s an anti-hero. I felt sorry for Franklin, and I’m sure most people who watched this series final do, too, but he chose and continue this life that ruined himself and his family. At least, Leon came to visit him and check on him, as well as he tried to help him. It shows that Leon is a true and best friend of Franklin. Leon is sad that he sees what Franklin had become, and he wouldn’t be able to help him. That ending in very end of the episode is sad. 

So, yeah, that’s the end of Snowfall, very sad one, too, and I think it’s shows you that getting involved in the drug trade is not worth it. It’s not just a crime, it’s an evil crime. Yes, it’s an evil thing to do. Drugs, such as heroin and cocaine, destroys people’s lives, communities, killing people, and it most likely destroy those who deal with them. It’s a curse as well as it’s like a Pandora’s box. I think series is showing you that it’ would make you think “was all that worth it”. Yeah, the series shows you what consequences drug trafficking will lead to, and we all know, it’s chaos. 

I would consider Snowfall as one of the best crime drama TV series along with Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, The Sopranos, and The Wire. This show should be at least nominated as it deserves the awards because the cast and crew did great with series and these characters developments are amazing. Franklin Saint is a well written character and Damson Idris did wonderful for portraying the character. I would rate Snowfall 8 out of 10 and Damson’s performance top notch. This is the best series John Singleton had ever created. Hope you all like my review. Oh, man, what a show.
