2019 Ford Mustang Engine, Specs, Price
2019 Ford Mustang Engine, Specs, Price– It is always fascinating to determine what versions of well-known muscle tissue vehicle Mustang are coming into the market. Other than Mach 1 additionally there is 2019 Ford Mustang variance amongst the most well-liked. However, it is not easy to update the automobile with a lot of supporters and attract their focus aside. So, brand-new 2019 Ford Mustang…

I bought a 2019 Civic Type-R (Comparisons to other vehicles inside) via /r/cars
I bought a 2019 Civic Type-R (Comparisons to other vehicles inside)
New owner of a 2019 Championship White Civic Type R. Cross shopped this car with a Camaro 2SS 1LE, Bullitt Mustang, Scat Pack Challenger Widebody, Focus RS, and Golf R.
I'm writing this post because I don't think this is a cross-shop that happens very often (hatchbacks and performance coupes/sedans)... at least in my hunting it didn't seem to. Hopefully people googling something like this in the future will come across this post and find some helpful thoughts. My requirements were that the car fit a cello case and have Android Auto/Apple CarPlay. I'm spoiled, manufacturer infotainment systems are universally garbage compared to Android Auto/Apple CarPlay. My budget was $45k.
I traded in my 2017 Civic Si Sedan, which I loved, because I was looking for the next step in performance. I only tracked the car a total of 14 times over the course of two years, so I definitely consider myself casual in that regard, but if you are on the fence I strongly recommend getting some track days in. It's some of the most fun I've had in my adult life.
Cars missing from this test: G70, STI. I refuse to support not putting the manual in the top engine spec for a car, sorry G70. The STI doesn't come with Android Auto, but if that's not a requirement for you I don't blame you for picking up one of these bad boys.
Onto the comparisons and why I chose the CTR. I'll go in reverse order from cars I felt were the worst to best... except the Camaro which is second due to GM fiat.
  Ford Mustang Bullitt
I've never been more disappointed in a car. From the outside this car is GORGEOUS. To me it is the best looking car of everything I tested. Ford designers knocked it out of the park. This immediately falls away the moment you sit down inside of one.
The interior was worse than my Civic. The seats weren't as comfortable, the buttons were harsh, and the fitment of everything seemed off. The digital dash is fantastic, though.
Then you start the car and you can almost forgive the interior quality. The sound this car makes was also the best of any car I tested. Then you go to shift and the years you've spent with a Honda shifter make you realize how spoiled you are. This way this transmission shifted was terrifying, and I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't failures related to it down the road. Having said that, press your foot on the gas and hear the engine climb to redline... you can almost forget the shifter.
The back seats could actually fit a human being in a pinch, good job there, and I was able to fit a cello case inside when folding the rear seats down. That's all the practicality I needed. Ford's version of comfort mode is great, but there is a LOT of road noise that leaks into the car. The freeway was very loud...
There's a running theme here of ecstasy and disappointment. I couldn't get over the disappointments from this fifty thousand dollar car. I expect more from such a size-able expense. For the people who prioritize looks, sound, power I don't know if there's a competitor outside the Challenger. I can see why it's the best selling pony car in America.
Driving Experience: 8/10
Practicality: 3/10
  Challenger Scat Pack Widebody
Oh man... this car is delicious. I feel like if I ended up in this car I'd move to the South and get the giant flags to attach to my car. My brain shut off when I pressed the pedal. I'm not entirely sure this car should be paired with a 6-speed, or maybe the 1st gear should be made longer. Even with the widebody this thing wants to eat your tires for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I can't even imagine the Hellcat Challenger in a manual... wow. It's also an absolute boat, but it's a great boat!
The interior is... not as bad as the Mustang. Still leaves some question marks on the fitment front. The trunk is GARGANTUAN and so are the rear seats. Will your passengers have to wiggle their way into them because there's only 2 doors? Yes, but they are very usable once inside. Where's my manual Charger :< The sheer amount of space you have, and how quiet it is on the freeway gets big ups from me.
Sound system was the best out of anything I tested. Cello fits. Uconnect is great, and has AA/AC. The manual's gear ratios need to be changed, a burnout a day is not getting positive marks from me.
Driving Experience: 7/10
Practicality: 5/10
  Focus RS
This car is more than the sum of its parts. I hadn't even considered it initially due to ride quality concerns until another of my posts had someone recommend it saying it wasn't so bad.
I'm glad I got to drive it, because it's a blast! The ride quality is indeed as harsh as the reviews say, though. I live in Los Angeles, our roads are garbage (I know yours are worse Michigan). I drive clients in my car sometimes, I don't want them bouncing around too much for the drive that's mostly freeway from LAX to SFV. I'm slightly exaggerating here, but it was too much.
The interior here is nicer than the Bullitt. The sound is worse, but better than the Type R. The shifter is better than the Mustang, but maybe that's due to the engine it's paired with? I only spent 20 minutes with the car, I can't go into as much detail as with the other cars. The car feels like a track weapon, at all times. Which is crazy because it's probably slower than a Bullitt around a track, but it certainly doesn't feel like it.
Cello case fit easily, back seats could fit real humans on a road trip. Drift mode. It's a hatchback, there are perks.
Driving Experience: 8/10
Practicality: 5/10
  Golf R
I'm surprised I didn't choose this car when I consider it from just the exterior. It's professional, well put together, and a jack of all trades. Maybe I should have rated it higher somewhere but I don't know where.
The sound is subdued when it needs to be, it's comfortable on the freeway, when you floor it you grin. People can fit in the back just fine, and it checks every box neatly. How very German!
It's missing emotion? Maybe some steering feel? The car felt like it was holding back, or maybe it was the weight. I don't know. I spent almost three hours with this car. I could see myself taking this to work, taking it to the track, and being pleasantly surprised with just how capable it would be every day.
The Golf R checks all the boxes, and is capability personified. If the R wagon was here I'd have said to hell with "emotion" I'm getting the wagon... but this is just practicality on par with the Type R, while lacking some of the driving character. Or maybe if I lived up north and the AWD was super important to me.
Driving Experience: 7/10
Practicality: 7/10
  Camaro 2SS 1LE
My younger self hates me for not buying this car. Driving this car is an absolute pleasure. As I write this I almost feel regret for not buying it in spite of its shortcomings, but the axe fell. I'll write this so future buyers can save themselves from driving this, falling in love, then having to take it out back.
The sound is a tuning fork next to the ears, while maintaining comfortable noise levels on the freeway. The manual is second only to the Honda. The suspension is actually better than expected when in comfort, and the best in track mode. The pillbox you drive in isn't that bad when you have blind spot monitoring... I could not buy the 1SS 1LE version since it doesn't have the option to add this. Feels criminal. Seats are comfortable, and most of all everything is TIGHT.
Fitment of the interior is great, steering feel is precise, and you can break the back end loose on command... that's probably the greatest thing about this car, the control you feel. I can't talk about it too much, the reviewers have said it enough and they're right. To me there is no car that will give you this level of performance for so cheap. Maybe a used Corvette, but I was buying new.
To answer the question you've all been wondering: will it fit a cello in a case? No. I tried. I tried so hard. I twisted, I turned, I did every trick learned from moving couches through doorways I could think of... but I could not get the thing to fit in the car. Who designed this trunk opening? Kill them. I hate them with a burning passion. El Fin.
Decent sound system. Back seats only for small bags and people you hate. Trunk opening designed by Satan.
I can't put it anywhere but 2nd even if the scoring system I derived says it should be lower. Driving it was that good. Maybe the Driving Experience scale should be adjusted to move everything else down a point or two.
Driving Experience: 10/10
Practicality: 2/10 (+1 because you can throw a couple backpacks in the back seat with a carry on in the trunk)
  Civic Type R
When I set out to purchase the car I had ruled out the Type R because I live in SoCal and I refuse to purchase a car above MSRP. Plus, I wanted to move to an AWD or RWD platform.
To start things off, I bought a Type R for MSRP in Southern California... and from said dealer I also bought paint protection film/tinting. Full disclosure because that's not just the car for straight MSRP. These are things I was going to buy anyways and they priced them at regular local prices, which I know because I had PPF and tinting done by a local shop last go around. If you don't want these things shop around, and don't impulse buy this car. It will take a week or two of waiting, but someone will make a deal with you. Or just go out of state and buy one for MSRP. The road trip back should be a blast.
The steering is fantastic... much better than you'd expect out of a car as high seated as the Civic has gotten. You can definitely tell it's the lightest car of this group because it feels the most "chuckable". ((The Camaro isn't as "chuckable" because I reached the limits of my courage turning this thing in the canyons above SCV before it reached the limit of where it will stop turning in))
Shifting is easy and smooth, but maybe that's because it feels nearly identical to the one in the Si I've become accustomed to. It has 4 doors, the opening in the back when you lift the trunk is cavernous.
The ride in comfort mode is the largest difference from track mode (+R) to comfort out of anything I tested. +R to sport I can hardly tell that much of a difference, but when you click down into comfort some withcraft magic happens, the car gets quieter, and the road noise drops. Ride is still more bumpy than I would hope for, though... I think this comes down to how thin the tires are. Strongly considering a drop to 18" wheels with 275/35 or 255/40 tires. I won't be lowering the car because my driveway is a cliff, a common theme in Los Angeles.
It feels much more spacious than the Golf R when you sit inside it, even though the specs say that isn't true. I'm 6'2" and there's so much headroom compared to my civic sedan I had to laugh. The back seats have plenty of leg room, while being much easier to get into than something like the Challenger. Why are there only 4 seats instead of 5? Whatever. The seats are stellar, though overly bolstered if you are a wider dude. I love that when I'm wearing a helmet, the upper portion of the seat from your shoulders leans back to allow for room. With the helmet on I don't have to slouch forward like I did with the seats in my Si.
Sound system is good, but not as good as the Challenger. For spirited driving +R mode steering/suspension is great, but the Camaro and RS felt better. In comfort mode road noise is third to the Golf R and Challenger, suspension is third to the Challenger and Camaro. With the seats folded down it feels like it has more space than the Golf R even though I don't think that's quite the case.
Driving Experience: 8/10
Practicality: 7/10
Final note: The looks are very polarizing. They must be, because you get a LOT of stares in this car and a LOT of rev bombs from other drivers. If you want attention get a Type R. Downside is, I don't want attention. Maybe more points for the Golf R should you find yourself in the market. This car is a great car, I can see why reviewers love it so damn much. I smile when I think about driving it, and I can throw a bunch of shit in it for road trips or carpool to work without issue. What more could you ask for?... Chevy SS dreams intensify
TL;DR: Set out to buy an AWD/RWD car that can fit a cello case, has Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, and costs ~$45k or less. Bought a FWD car because, to me, it's the best blend of fun driving and practicality on the market.

2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt Release
2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt
  2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt
2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt Review – Ready to go on sale in the summer of 2018, the new Mustang Bullitt follows in the footsteps of its predecessors. It is based on the Mustang GT, has a number of unique features inside and out, and has a subtle appearance. But under the skin, the Bullitt has a little more strength than the GT and offers better performance. If Steve McQueen was still here, I’m sure he would have taken a house and maybe even use it for a continuation of the iconic movie. But unfortunately, Steve is gone, so we’ll have to settle for the Ford, a great Ford inspired by Bullitt, made for the car.

  2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt Exterior
In front of the outside, we can see a new grid with a honeycomb pattern, black mesh. There is no pony logo, but Ford has added subtle chrome accents to the top frame. On the sides, we can see the usual Torque Thrust wheels, also based on the original car and seen in previous Bullitt iterations. In this car, they measure 19 inches and are made of aluminum. Behind them, Brembo brake calipers painted in red add a touch of color.
At the rear, the Bullitt is equipped with the revised diffuser with the Premium group standard, a circular false-gas cap with the Bullitt logo on the rear bumper and new Black NitroPlate exhaust tips. Speaking of colors, the new Bullitt can be ordered in just two exterior paintings. There’s Dark Highland Green, a modern, metallic version of the shadow of the original car, and Shadow Black.
  2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt Interior
The interior is more or less standard GT with additional standard features and some unique bits. The vehicle is equipped as standard with the Premium Package, which adds leather, a larger screen for the infotainment system, ambient lighting, aluminum pedals, an aluminum satin brush on the center column, an improved audio system, control of adaptive speed and wipers.
  2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt Interior
Ford also offers a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel as standard, as well as a fully digital 12-inch board of the 2018 Mustang facelifted. The specific features of Bullitt include green seams on the dashboard, door panels, center console, and seats, as well as a white shift knob as a nod to the original car. . The infotainment system has a single green start screen with an image of the car instead of the pony.
The list of options includes a set of leather-trimmed Recaro seats and Bullitt Electronics Group. The latter includes seats and mirrors with memory for the driver and a blind spot information system with Cross Traffic Alert that can, among other things, draw the attention of customers about vehicles detected in difficult places to see.
2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt Engine Performance
The new 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt gets its juice from an updated 5.0-liter V-8 GT. The natural vacuum unit has won some revised inmates for improved performance and remains exclusive to this special edition. The revised engine develops 480 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. That’s 20 horsepower more compared to the standard GT, while the torque is the same.
The V-8 is coupled to a manual transmission only, with no option for an automatic. Ford has also added an active valve performance system, while the exhaust has been readjusted to give the engine a unique signature. Other improvements include an outdoor intake system, an 87 mm intake manifold with Shelby GT350 throttle bodies and a recalibrated powertrain control module.
2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt Price and Release
The new 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt starts at $ 46,595, not including delivery and destination fees of $ 900. This is a premium of $ 7,405 on the GT Premium model on which it is based, which makes sense considering the additional features and standard performance package. The Bullit falls just between the Mustang GT Premium and the Shelby GT350, $ 10,645 less than the performance model.

The 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse Unveiled with V8 Power
Ford created quite a stir on Wednesday night in Detroit, taking over the majority of the downtown area for a celebration of everything Mustang and the fans who love it. The Dark Horse, which has been in development for more than three years behind closed doors, takes the essential components of the Mustang—a rear-wheel-drive coupe with a V8 engine and a manual transmission—and fine-tunes them for both street and track performance.
Initially, it was anticipated that the launch would include a coupe, convertible, and GT variant. However, Ford surprised everyone by launching the Mustang Dark Horse, the first completely new Mustang performance series since the Mustang Bullitt made its debut in 2001. The Mustang's base engine is a revised 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, and the updated 5.0-liter Coyote V8 continues to power the GT. The most recent model of the legendary pony car is the new, seventh-generation 2024 Mustang.
The 2024 Ford Mustang: First Look
Despite the fact that a lot of Baby Boomers are still passionate about Mustangs, their numbers are constantly declining. Ford has already used some of the brand's magic with the Mustang Mach-E electric crossover, but the company still needs to attract new customers with its newest products.
Every sheet of metal on the 2024 Mustang is brand-new, despite maintaining the same basic dimensions and shape. In the new design, the undercuts are gone, at least on the sides, giving it a more chiseled appearance. The Mustang was intended to have a distinctively American muscle car look, and this goal was largely accomplished.
Continuing the evolution from the 2015 model through 2019, the front fascia is more assertive and makes use of a grille that has a blunter appearance. With the exception of the Fox-body Mustangs from the 1980s and 1990s, it still has the traditional shark nose that has been a feature of the majority of Mustangs. Although triple LED projector headlights are standard, the tri-bar signature lights have been repositioned horizontally, one above each main projector.
The previous generation's three-dimensional lamps have been replaced with a more aggressive version of the flush lamps used on the Mach-E. A significant horizontal valley extends the width of the tail across the back face.
The 2024 Mustang's design is largely unchanged from its 1960s-era inspiration. The convertible top of the Mustang continues to fold almost flush with the bodywork for a neat appearance when it is down.
V8 Powered 2024 Ford Mustang:
Upgraded versions of the powertrains currently available in non-Shelby Mustangs will be a choice when the 2024 Mustang goes on sale. That is the fourth-generation 5.0-liter Coyote V8 and the 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine will be there. Ford is delaying the release of specifications so that they can release a steady stream of information leading up to the car's launch in about nine months. A Shelby GT500 replacement has not yet been announced.
Both engines are anticipated to be more efficient and to produce more power and torque than they did previously. Right now, the four-cylinder engine has 350 pound-feet of torque and 310 horsepower. (An additional 20 horsepower is provided by the high-performance package.) The engine will be updated next year with a combined dual port and direct injection system strategy. The majority of other EcoBoost engines already employ this, which helps to reduce cold emissions and increase drivability. The new 2.3 will likely have a power range of 330 to 350 hp, similar to the now-discontinued Focus RS.
The V8 has undergone more significant changes. It uses a completely new intake system in 2024 that has two throttle bodies. Each throttle body has a separate intake snorkel that receives air from an air-filter box that is located directly behind the grille. Ford won't disclose the amount of power it will generate, other than to emphasize that it will be the most potent Mustang GT to date. The Mach-1 has 470 horsepower, while the 2022 GT produces 450 horsepower. The GT is probably going to match, if not outperform, Mach 1 with the new intake system.
An upgraded version of the existing 10-speed automatic transmission is paired with both engines. The V8 still has a six-speed manual transmission option in addition to the automatic and three-pedal setup.
2024 Ford Mustang Chassis Improvements:
There have been very few changes, other than the fundamental front strut and integral link independent rear suspension design. The steering system underwent some of the most significant changes, receiving a new rack with a faster ratio, a stiffer shaft, and less compliance all around for a better feel.
You will see some changes to some of the attachment points and chassis setups, but the overall architecture hasn't changed. V8 Mustangs will get new knuckles, an aluminum control arm inside the car, and a new lower control arm. Although Ford hasn't yet disclosed the final horsepower figures for either engine, we anticipate the GT to generate close to 470 horsepower.
An electronic drift brake will also be available on V8 Mustangs in 2024. Like the majority of contemporary automobiles, the Mustang is replacing its cable-operated parking brake with an electronic system that applies the rear brakes using the hydraulic actuator of the stability control.
If you choose the drift brake, you will receive a handle that resembles a conventional parking brake but is actually an electronic switch. The parking brake programming is changed to drift mode by the track mode app, which causes the brakes to engage much more quickly when the lever is pulled. When compared to using the traditional mechanical hand brake, it will apply four to five times as much pressure.
Digital Beats for Kids in the Ford 2024 Mustang:
The new pony's cockpit undergoes even more substantial changes in favor of a much more contemporary aesthetic. Ford is obviously focusing on the interior experience in an effort to appeal to a younger demographic of sports car buyers. In its place, a massive digital environment replaces the conventional dual cowl dashboard. Base models feature a separated dual panel setup with a landscape 10-inch touchscreen in the middle and a digital instrument cluster display in front of the driver.
A continuous arrangement with a panel extending from the driver's side pillar across the center of the dashboard is available on Ecoboost Premium and GT models. Like many other recent models, it appears to have a single panel when turned off, but there are actually two displays—one for the instruments and a 13.2-inch touchscreen for entertainment—hidden beneath the glass.
Ford's interface designers used the Unreal 5 gaming engine software to create the graphics and animations within the system, just like other automakers like Rivian and General Motors. Any time you switch between drive modes, cluster graphic themes, or anything else, there are plenty of moving pixels.
Inside a 2024 Ford Mustang:
The Mustang's interior has been significantly improved for 2024, and it now features a twin-tablet array of screens that, in some ways, resembles more recent BMW models. The Mustang and the two-door BMW 4 Series models are comparable in size and function, but they are significantly more expensive.
The new Mustang will continue to use the current Sync 4 infotainment system rather than switching to the new Android Automotive-based system, even though it won't be available until mid-2023. For the Mustang, Sync 4 has been given a new skin to match the rest of the visual design. Track apps and line-lock, which make on-demand burnouts simple, are also retained.
2024 Ford Mustang Interior Design:
Designers have also made a variety of improvements to materials and finishes for the physical rather than digital components of the Mustang. Interior surfaces that previously had smoother grains rather than the simulated animal grains are now being laser etched on some surfaces, while others are being covered in patterns like white noise. The speaker bezels are seamlessly incorporated into the panels around them; occasionally, the colors of the interior ambient lighting can be seen through the grilles.
Ford kept the convertible's power top system from the previous generation because the basic structure hasn't changed. Like the outgoing model, the retractable hood creates a clean profile for the convertible by sitting flush with the surrounding bodywork.
A hybrid powertrain won't be available for the new Mustang. However, the updated interior's tech-forward design and enhanced performance have what it takes to draw a new generation of owners to the family business that was founded almost 60 years ago. When the brand-new 2024 Mustang starts showing up in dealerships in one year, we'll have a clearer picture.
The Cost of a 2024 Ford Mustang:
The price of the seventh-generation Mustang has not yet been announced. The current model's entry-level EcoBoost with a six-speed manual transmission costs $28,865. The V8-powered GT, which also comes with a six-speed stick, has a starting price of $39,440. The 2024 Mustang will undoubtedly cost more, but given the steadily declining Mustang sales in recent years, we'd be shocked if Ford introduced the new model with a significantly higher MSRP.

First Look: The 2019 Mustang Bullitt
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of iconic movie “Bullitt” and its fan-favorite San Francisco car chase, Ford introduces the new 2019 Mustang Bullitt.
The Bullitt’s upgraded 5.0-liter V8 engine that will deliver at least 475 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque, pushing the new Bullitt to a top speed of 163 mph – an 8 mph increase versus the latest Mustang GT.
It will be equipped with a manual transmission, and the gear shifter features a white cue ball shift knob as a nod to the original. The vehicle packages all Mustang GT Premium and Performance Package content into a vehicle that maintains the original Bullitt’s understated persona.
An active valve performance exhaust system is standard with new Black NitroPlate exhaust tips, and retuned to give the car a signature burble, as well as new Open Air Induction System and Shelby GT350 intake manifold with 87mm throttle bodies & powertrain control module calibration for optimal performance.
Other standard equipment includes a heated leather steering wheel and a 12-inch all-digital LCD instrument cluster, identical in function to the cluster introduced on 2018 Mustang, but with a unique Bullitt welcome screen that starts in green with an image of the car rather than the pony.
Exterior paint choices are limited to Shadow Black and the classic Dark Highland Green – as worn in the movie. Other features that pay tribute to the car McQueen drove are subtle chrome accents around the grille and front windows, classic torque thrust 19-inch aluminum wheels, red painted Brembo™ brakes, and a unique black front grille. Inside and out, the vehicle uses minimal badging; only the circular faux gas cap Bullitt logo on the rear center is visible on the exterior.
The leather-trimmed interior features unique green accent stitching on the dashboard, door panels, center console and seats.
Aside from the two exterior paint choices, Mustang Bullitt buyers are limited to three factory-installed options:
Bullitt Electronics Package includes navigation, driver memory seats and mirrors, upgraded sound system and Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert that can alert customers of vehicles detected in difficult-to-see places
MagneRide semi-active suspension system optimizes driving performance
RECARO black leather-trimmed seats
That reputation was born after a Mustang GT fastback played a prominent role in the 1968 movie, and most notably in a chase scene that set new standards in filmmaking. The film’s nearly 10-minute-long sequence followed McQueen chasing down two hitmen in his Mustang through the streets of San Francisco.

Ford is one of those automobile manufacturers adept at making all kinds of vehicles and producing some iconic cars such as the Ford Mustang in "Bullitt." As you can see, the diversity of Ford cars is mind boggling. The Mustang, which sold 100,000 units in the United States in 2019, was the best selling car. However, what makes this car so well-loved is its accessible price point and quick maintenance. But, don't let anyone fool you into choosing any center for Mustang service Dubai.
Here at Mysyara, we follow the guidelines for servicing a Mustang safely. However, please take a closer look at your user manual as it contains essential information. It mentions the use of Ford and Motorcraft parts for proper repair. These are some of the guidelines we follow along with other services.
Ford Mustang Models and General Overview of Our Maintenance
Generally, Ford Mustangs require scheduled maintenance to run smoothly and keep emissions and cooling systems in check. Mysyara services Mustangs and determines the engine oil tune-up based on the model, make, and miles. Here is an overview of how servicing Ford Mustang's different models work.
The Performance Pack Mustang GT with improved brakes, suspension, engine, and other customizations requires more servicing as it is primarily for racing. However, a base GT or EcoBoost Mustang will not cost as much in servicing, probably the Shelby GT350. As the Ford Shelby is in tune with racing, it requires a specific synthetic 5W50 oil. Do not worry about the repair costs as our technicians specialize in Ford Mustang Repair Dubai.

Dodge and Ford To Produce New Muscle Cars
By Dave Ashton
While it may seem like the whole car industry has ground to a halt in our times of lockdown, the top muscle car makers have been quietly beavering away on their next projects. The big news at the moment is the return of Ford’s iconic Mach 1, while Dodge are rumored to be birthing a Challenger ACR.
Ford Mach 1
Any recent mentions of the ‘Mach’ name in Ford circles has been concerning their Mustang inspired, all electric SUV, the ‘Mach-E.’ No matter your opinions on the latter crossover SUV thingy, Ford have announced that they will be bringing back the Mach 1 nameplate in 2021 as a special edition to replace the Mustang Bullitt.
Prototype shots of the 2021 Mustang Mach 1 have started to emerge, with standout features being the two large circular areas on the front grille. The placement of these openings is very similar to the driving light placements on the original 1969 Mustang Mach 1. But, at this stage of the game their use is unclear, most likely being areas for lighting units or intakes.
Other standout features include a new front fascia, rear wing and diffuser setup, Brembo brake package and large exhaust tips. Power wise, the engine will be a 5.0L naturally aspirated V8, producing 480HP. Other details about the powertrain have yet to be revealed, but Ford promise the most track focused Mustang yet featuring this version of engine.
Other Mustang variants are also in the works, such as a Mustang Hybrid. But, this model is more likely to emerge after a possible redesign total redesign of the Mustang in 2023.
Ford Mustang
Dodge Challenger ACR
Most of you will be familiar with the ‘ACR’ name from the mighty track focused Dodge Viper variant, adorning the special edition for many years. The ‘American Club Racer’ name was also used for the very sprightly front wheel drive Neon back in the 90s and now it’s the turn of the Dodge Challenger to adopt the name.
Rumors of this new model first came about in 2019, but with very little information at the time on specs and performance. Now, two new models may emerge, featuring a possible 392 Hemi V8 with 485 horses and the Big Brother model having a supercharged Hellcat V8 producing 797hp, possibly straight from the Challenger Redeye.
As ACR models have traditionally been the focus of the track and racing, it will be interesting to see how Dodge reduce the overall heft of the Challenger, reducing the overall weight to at least under 4000 pounds. Lots of carbon fiber is predicted for both the outer shell and many of the components, along with the Viper ACR’s huge rear wing and possibly suspension setup.
Just like previous ACR models, this will be a limited run of vehicles, just like the original Viper ACR, for those who want a more track focused vehicle. But more importantly, the Dodge Challenger ACR will have some big boots to fill concerning lap times and performance.
The Dodge Challenger is unapologetically a straight-line specialist, thus will need a good degree of fettling and tweaking to turn it into the same agile beast as the original Viper ACR. For instance a 2017 Dodge Viper ACR holds the 10th fastest time around the Nürburgring with a time of 7:01.3, utilizing the Extreme Aero Package. Only beaten out by the likes of vastly more expensive supercars. If you want to read up on other fastest laps produced by the Dodge Viper ACR, check out fastlaps.com.
This could just mean that the Dodge Challenger may be listed in future years with top track times. Imagine that, a Challenger muscle car that can carve up the track as good as the rest, along with frightening straight-line speed.
Update – At the time of writing June 3, 2020, Dodge have confirmed that there isn’t going to be a Challenger ACR model for the foreseeable future. Shame though as it was a dam good idea.

Paying tribute to the 1968 Mustang GT Fastback that starred alongside Steve McQueen in the ‘Bullitt’ movie, the new version is simply outstanding. It has an awesome loud exhaust, plenty of V8 power, handles great, has a white shifter, and of course - it’s colored in the awesome Dark Highland Green. . But is it worth the extra price over the standard Mustang GT Fastback and is it close enough to the GT350? V-8 For What? These Classic Mustangs are (Probably) Slower Than the EcoBoost
We recently drove the 2020 Ford Mustang EcoBoost Turbo High Performance package (whew) and came away impressed. Its 2.3-liter turbocharged I-4 spits out 332 hp and 350 lb ft of torque, and it feels like it from behind the wheel. Still, that engine might be its biggest problem: Die-hards will scoff and say it only has half the cylinder count of a proper muscle car. Our retort: Who cares? Compared to a V-8, sure, it doesn’t sound as good, and no, it’s not as powerful, but it handles awesomely and is plenty quick. We haven’t had a chance to independently verify Ford’s “mid-four second” 0–60 claim, but if it’s true, then this force-induced pony is quicker than these iconic V-8-powered Mustangs from not so long ago.
1997 MotorTrend Mustang GT SVO Convertible
In 1997, we had a Mustang GT convertible at our disposal. With help from Ford’s SVO performance division, we added new cylinder heads, an intake manifold, exhaust headers, and new engine management software. The result was a car that “tore” to 60 in 6.0 seconds. That wasn’t enough, so we poured more dough into our red drop-top, adding new exhaust, stickier tires, and a Vortech supercharger. That shaved a whopping second off the sprint. Despite how it thrilled us, it doesn’t compare to the 2020 Mustang EcoBoost High Performance package.
2007 Ford Shelby GT
Four-decades-old Shelby design cues still work: Le Mans stripes, aluminum grille, all-business hood scoop, and five-spoke alloy wheels. The wood-rimmed steering wheel in Mike Querio’s early 1966 GT350 is now worth more than what then-girlfriend Linda paid for the entire car in 1974.
The Shelby name isn’t simply given to Mustangs—it’s earned. Through Shelby’s engine upgrades, chassis refinements, and iconic stylistic cues, Mustangs are transformed from everyday ponies to pedigreed thoroughbreds. That’s certainly the story we spun as we waxed over the Ford Shelby GT, a stripe-clad, hood pin–wearing tire screecher that ran to 60 in 5.0 seconds. Quick, sure, but quicker than the EcoBoost High Performance package? No. We wonder what Carroll would think of today’s turbocharged Mustang.
2008 Saleen S281-3V Ford Mustang
Wearing custom body panels and a center-exit exhaust, the Saleen S281 Mustang was a head turner. It had plenty of juice to back up the bodykit, too; its 4.6-liter V-8 was tuned to 335 hp and 345 lb-ft of torque. But its good looks and solid power could still only find a 5.1-second 0–60 time, well behind the new Mustang EcoBoost Turbo High Performance package. By today’s standards, more show than go, it would seem.
2010 Roush 427R Ford Mustang
In period, this supercharged aftermarket beast was meant to rival the GT500, and even now its 435 hp and 400 lb-ft is a whole lot. In our First Test, however, that might have been a bit much for our particular car’s rolling stock. Finding and maintaining traction was an issue, and it got to 60 in 4.7 seconds. Nothing wrong with that, other than the fact that this screaming, heavily modified V-8 is only about as quick as a turbo four-banger today.
2019 Ford Mustang GT Bullitt
Our drive of the EcoBoost Turbo High Performance package concluded with a surprise head to head with a Mustang GT Bullitt. It was a great opportunity to compare the two and feel out their differences. It accelerated quickly, but actually any quicker? When we tested the Bullitt at our 2019 Car of the Year event, our best 0–60 run measured 4.6 seconds. Once we get one on the track for testing, could the turbo-four upstart really match the Highland Green classic?

No 2020 Shelby GT500 Ford Mustang For Europe
By Dave Ashton
Ford fans across the world are getting quite excited about the upcoming release of the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. The most powerful GT500 yet, etc., but the Europeans aren’t going to get even a whiff of a supercharger whine, as the new car won’t meet current emissions and safety regulations.
Compounding the situation, sales of new gasoline and diesel vehicles after 2040 will be banned, with countries like Germany, Ireland and the Netherlands pushing that date forward to 2030. However, the irony is that the Mustang GT in native hand drive for Europe is selling extremely well, with its 5.0L V8 engine and 450bhp, being one of the bestselling performance cars in some EU countries. Mustang sales in Europe have been on a steady increase. Sales are up 27% compared to the same time last year in Europe, making the vehicle the bestselling sports coupe.
Anything more potent from now on won’t doodle do. There’s even legislation to fine idling vehicles if they are caught with their engines running when they are stationary for too long.
This situation hasn’t just affected the GT500 with a 5.2L supercharged V8, but also the Chevrolet Corvette and Camaro with 6.2L LT1 V8s, which won’t be available in Europe after August 31 2019. This means that the GT500 will be sold only in North America, Mexico and the Middle East. The Bullitt version of the Mustang is currently the most powerful available in Europe. So, a certain level of V8 power is allowed, just not too much.
From an American point of view, who cares with everything still being freely available and there’s still the possibility of down tuned imports. But, in our global economy, there’s always a knock-on effect, legislation-wise and global sales. Muscle cars and high-performance vehicles are also an easy target. The common misconception of all those gas guzzlers which are responsible for polluting our roads.
The problem is that muscle cars are such a small sliver of the whole market. Banning them is less than a sticking plaster solution. Unfortunately, banning the obvious helps with the politician’s popularity stakes. Industrial pollution is the larger factor, but that doesn’t as clearly win votes. The majority of daily drivers turning electric makes sense, but banning the minority doesn’t.
One things for sure, muscle cars are used to a long history of emission regulations, hikes in insurance and general clampdowns. The Clean Air Act of 1970 and a fuel crisis, when muscle cars were at their zenith seemed apocalyptic at the time. But, the breed soldiered through. Skip to present day and the situation is far different with EVs becoming the norm., but it’s far from the end of the species, more a minor glitch in the long road for muscle cars.
As in the past, muscle cars will change and adapt to the times. Sorry, Europe for the limited muscle car inventory, but the story is far from over….
