Bisexual media
Note: This should not be taken as a declaration of quality or my personal likings - I haven’t fully (or even at all) consumed the media below. Not all of the shows focus on a bi protagonist but all do have at least one bi main character; a summary of main initial plot is provided. I will edit this post with updates intermittently.
TV Series
The Bisexual (2018) - Leila explores her attraction to men after identifying as a lesbian alongside her girlfriend and friends for the past decade, while her new roommate tries to get a grip on his relationship with a younger woman.
Black Mirror’s San Junipero - Yorkie meets Kelly in the strange setting of San Junipero. What’s the deal with this place, and what can make them stay?
Bob and Rose - Bob is gay. Rose has a boyfriend. Can I make it any more obvious? (I can - they find that they’re attracted to each other and deal with the implications and expectations of that.)
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend - Rebecca pursues her ex-boyfriend in the hopes of finding happiness. With a drastic move to West Covina, will she learn what happy feels like?
Cucumber - Henry’s life is upturned in one evening, then another, and then some more, while boyfriend Lance and new acquaintance Freddie come to terms with the present and the past.
Everything Now - Newly out of recovery from anorexia, Y11 student Mia is determined to complete her bucket list and be seen as normal.
Feel Good - Mae and Charlotte navigate a relationship challenged by Mae's drug addiction and Charlotte's new sexual discovery.
High Fidelity - Young record store owner Rob revisits her past relationships in order to sort out her singledom.
Kieta Hatsukoi - Aoki lies about having feelings for classmate Ida to protect the feelings of his crush Hashimoto. But misunderstandings and revelations cause a hullabaloo.
Torchwood - this Doctor Who spin-off features a collection of characters solving alien crimes.
Movies
Appropriate Behaviour - Brooklyn dweller Shirin deals with her ex-girlfriend, family expectations, job struggles and more.
City of Lost Souls - a German musical exploring the experiences of LGBT people, black people, Jewish people and immigrants in post-WW2 Berlin.
Disobedience - Ronit returns to her old Orthodox Jewish community after her father passes away, having been shunned for not adhering to cultural expectations.
Shiva Baby - While at a Jewish funeral service with her family and community, college student Danielle navigates an awkward situation with her sugar daddy and her ex-girlfriend.
Books (Admittedly, I do not read nearly enough so in addition to my own suggestions, I'd like to recommend @the-bi-library!)
Fiction
You Could Be So Pretty (Holly Bourne) - In a world not too unlike our own, where girls and women can be Pretties or Objectionables, what will schoolgirls Belle and Joni make of their lives under the Doctrine after an incident brings them together?
Your Driver Is Waiting (Priya Guns) - Damani, a RideShare driver, falls hard for a white upper-class girl, but she's been grieving her father, caring for her mother and dealing with the ever-growing tension from protesters across the city. When Jolene acts with massive consequences, what will Damani be pushed to do for herself and her community?
Non-fiction
In The Dream House (Carmen Maria Machado) - Machado goes through her volatile relationship with The Woman From The Dreamhouse, intercut with musings on pop culture and history.
Strong Female Character (Fern Brady) - famous in British comedy circles, this autobiography follows Brady's life growing up in Scotland as an autistic woman.
You're Embarrassing Yourself (Desiree Akhavan) - from the Creator of The Bisexual and Appropriate Behaviour, this autobiography covers Akhavan's life as a bisexual Iranian immigrant.

During my search for some games for the other list, i thought i'd share some cute [and free!] games i play when im regressed sometimes! Most are animal themed as usual. This isnt going to be a constantly updating list like the Therian Games list, but maybe there'll be another one of these someday :)
Bluey: Let's Play! : You've probably heard of this one if you're a Bluey watcher like i am, or have younger siblings, but i really like this one! Keeping the same cute artstyle and voices, made by Budge Studios in 2023 and still actively updating, there's plenty of fun to be had !! With tons of paint bucket coloring activities, and 9 Toca Boca-like scenes that you can fill and change around to your liking, i give it the BIGGEST 10/10 there is :) I love Bluey so much !! :3
Toca Life- Pets: Created by Toca Boca (That's really their name? I thought it was a series of games.) around early 2018, this game is one of my favorites to make silly stories with :) With TONS (100+?) of pets, plenty of different areas to go between, fun 'secret' places, and more, this one has a nice 10/10 aswell :) (honestly they're almost all gonna have a 10/10, i wouldnt recommend them if i hated them) I actually heard something about this game being unavailable since this year, but it works just fine for me? Most definitely reccomend it, along with most of the other toca boca games. They're all just really cute and fun :)
My Town - Pets: Honestly i have mixed feelings about this one, but i think it's just because of how i feel abt the style sob. Released in 2017 by My Town (Im not sure if that's the brand or what, my apologies), this one is just like Toca Boca, but with a different artstyle. I don't hate this one, but i do dislike the artstyle, sorry sob. With a few places to switch between, plenty of fun pets, and a highly interactive environment, i give it a 9/10.
Paw Patrol - Rescue World: (Sorry the icon is smaller? I didn't do that on purpose.) Another silly fun puppy game made by Budge Studios in 2020, you can go on fun adventures through Adventure Bay as your favorite pups! Herd chickens back into their pens, make giant banana strawberry smoothies, and collect bones for reward crates, there's always another adventure waiting for you on Adventure Bay ! My personal favorites are Rocky and Zuma, they're so silly :) ! nice 9/10 for this one too! the only point taken away because of how blurry the models look for me (but that could just be my tablet!! dont let that discourage you!!)
#Sorry this is a bit out of my usual posting stuff but#i am a#pet regressor#so this is something that will be brought up a few times sob#Toca boca#sfw agere#sfw age regressor#sfw petre#sfw pet regression#Bluey#paw patrol#sorry for getting off track haha i just got excited

Allow myself to get a little RETROspective over FusionFall for a bit...
You may have noticed my Tumblr page now looks like a Windows 7 computer operating system. You like it? Along with that, I also updated my "find me elsewhere" list of virtual places to include FusionFall's second revival, OpenFusion (soon to include Retrobution, the revival of FusionFall Retro). In addition to that, I made a page just for my Creature Feature, which you can find in the pinned post or by clicking here. . After making that page for my four Creature Features, I began thinking back to my time in the Future...both times. What do I mean by that? Well, lemme first take you back: late September of 2018... (A VERY long and unfocused post past this point.)
. FusionFall had came back to life/into my life with the beta release of Retro, housing the first four levels and the entire Future Zone. I remember the days and nights leading up to the 29th (which was actually the 27th) being spent with the local players hunting Bad Max to pass the time until the Past was released to the public (or you could say until the time machine was finished). I can't remember if I found Don Doom while Retro was out, but I did in OpenFusion since the Future Zone was empty of players. . Eventually, one afternoon, I logged onto to the Universe Team's website (what used to be fusionfallretro.com, I think) to find that a glorious update on the front page. I don't remember what it said exactly, but you can assume that the Past Zone ergo the entire rest of the game was finished. With this release, Przzyfied (one of the bois on the team), whom I was subscribed to and looked forward to his FuFa (FusionFall) content eagerly, released a Smash Ultimate-type video showcasing all the characters in the game much like the source material did to announce this update.
youtube
This, of course, was around when the EVERYONE WAS HERE tagline was hyped to the max. I saw this as a second chance to finish what I started about a decade before. As I said in a rant addressing the DCMA takedown, I came a few levels close of crossing this game off my bucket list before it shutdown, but luckily with OpenFusion, I have that chance again. Third time's the charm. . So, yeah, the Past Zone was open, TIME TO GO! (this mission was removed in Retro btw) I bid the characters farewell and Samurai Jack'd my ass outta 'ere i have not watched samurai jack anyway fast forward past the shutdown to OpenFusion where I restarted my journey to save the Cartoon Network Universe. . This is where my Creature Feature showcase started. I also began an external and complex log of every mission, Boss Monster and Thromnambular locations, along with other details and I'd like to share it with other Notepad Purists-- I mean everyone when I finish it. As you may know, I've only done four monsters; those found in the Future Zone. I didn't spend as much time here as I did in 2018 and I was a bit less thoughtful with my decision to leave but it felt just as sorrowful having to go. I kept playing until level 12 where I just stopped. . The reason I haven't posted any more than the four I got is because I just hadn't found any more interesting monsters to showcase in the Past. I couldn't find any thing to like. However, be ready for the Oil Ogres when I get there-- I will post about them, I will gush about their greatness. . NOW. "Present day" post-Majora's Mask again after eight years. Seriously, I haven't played that game since I was in metaphorical diapers. I used a guide to get through that game my very first time (masks included), but the last time--the most recent time--I think it was nearing the end of Spring, early Summer, anyways I 100%'d the game ALL. BY. MY. SELF (save for the one heart piece from the treasure chest game won by being a goron, i don't know how i would've figured this out in-game, what? do i talk to someone in clock town AS a goron to get this information idk maybe i should try that next time in eight years). But in this last playthrough, I had what may have been my greatest yet most melancholy memory with this game. . Alright, lemme paint this picture: uhh let's do 4chan. >be me >like 90% done with mm >stone tower is left along with other things
BAH forget it. Yes, I was very close to finishing this game. I had the Stone Tower Temple (and its 15 stray fairies) left to do along with the Anju and Kafei three-day-time sidequest, maybe a few masks, too, and the remaining Heart Pieces (excluding the Moon, those were easy enough to obtain). By the way, I fucked up the Bombchu aiming needed to get to the one kid wearing Twinmold's mask, so the first time beating Majora was without the Fierce Deity Mask, but just a week or two ago, I went back and absolutely shat on Majora because I got the FD mask after simply
getting good.
Maybe it was meant to be; to do the final boss as base Link, then the bonus is a rematch using the sheer and raw power of the Fierce Deity Mask. . Sorry tangent, yeah I was close to the end of the game. I began the three day cycle anew. In this timeline, before heading to the Stone Tower Temple (STT, from here on), I had a rematch with the prior dungeon bosses, Odalwa, Goht, and Gyorg, before moving on to the penultimate frontier. Snowhead took me more than the three days (inverted Song of Time activated, too) to figure out the earlier puzzle in the central room, so I had to reset time once to complete the whole dungeon. Surprisingly, STT took me only two and 3/4 days (inverted time activated also), or until midnight of the Final Day to complete. I can't remember what I was more stuck on, the puzzles or the fairies. . I had to listen to the greatest dungeon song for about 3 hours. . But man, upon seeing that cutscene of the four giants' spirits(?) being released, that just felt "it" for me. I had nothing else I wanted to/could do (time-specific sidequests) since, again, I was nearly 100% done with the game, so I returned to Clock Town for a drink: a nice alcoholic Chateau Romani. After a nice swig of three-day-magic, I just roamed the fields with Epona until I had pulled out my Ocarina at the last second to reset time to the Dawn of the First Day. I nearly let the world end, and it was such an indescribable, unhappy feeling. You know "My Friend and the Setting Sun"? yeah well I was "My Horse and the Falling Moon".
youtube
So that brings me back to FusionFall. With nothing left to do but wait til the world ends (well you dont actually see the world end, but it's implied that it does after you travel back in time), it left me with that feeling of, I guess, "I don't wanna leave this place but I have to because this game has an important story ahead". . Or maybe it just has something to do with me and my idea of timelines. I'd have to leave something I cannot return to, and I find it difficult to leave things I grown attached to. Yeah, it's a videogame at the end of the day, but it's more to me. The characters I met, the things I've done and the things I've seen will be gone when I leave and no one else will remember. Makes me sad, really. . sorry Where was I going with this? I forgot.

after giving it some genuine thought i dont think theres a single dj left on my bucket list. maybe some ‘acts’ like vengaboys or radiorama or something but i think i would be hard-pressed to get super psyched about any particular event again. the problem is, and this was long before covid, that a dj will get booked based on their oldschool rep, but then they play like 2 tracks and the rest is all nuskool schlock, or they’re ‘updates’ of their old tracks. i dont think this is an age thing because i didnt like the direction the hardcore sound was taking even when i was a teenager and i havent liked pretty much anything made since (unless it’s emulating an old sound, but even then it usually cant resist throwing in some ‘nu-k’ type sounds), and instead i found that music that was new to me but old chronologically appealed to me more, going all the way back to italo.
like when uhhh was it hardcore heaven? i dunno some party where they got dj seduction, and everyone was expecting that oldskool toytown or even old rave sound, and instead (per eyewitnesses) it was like two or three happycore tracks and then some nuskool update of hardcore heaven. yawn. htid 2018 was the same, i sat in the bleachers most of the event; the highlight of that entire weekend was the dingy little sideroom at the dna lounge where they were playing shit like brooklyn bounce and cascada—not remixed, not updated, not edited. one of the best events i ever went to wasnt a rave at all but a 90s flashback night for aqua’s anniversary at the lash (rip), it was FREE and i danced all night.
there’s a new trauma party this summer and it’s gonna have (so far) chosen few, goldie, altern8. but how can trauma beat when it had hardcore for the headstrong? already saw altern8, dyewitness, fucking DIONE???? like goldie’s cool but im not really as into jungle and dnb as gabber. and i saw chosen few in his natural habitat (the netherlands) so like. what will i really be missing? the vibe i guess, and goldie will be beholden to play his classics so maybe the vibe will be the older sound. and it will suck to miss out but again like. am i willing to die for it? lmao. like how can you beat shavo odadjian from soad playing guitar on stage with neophyte. ive been blessed to have gone to some really fucking awesome events in the past but with the fractured state of the scene and, per my friends who still party, absolutely abysmal vibe of recent parties, i really cant imagine who would have to be on the lineup to get my ass out there again. id be more content seeing local djs (covid notwithstanding) playing stuff i actually like than roll up somewhere with big names but shit tunes. it would have to be like beyond the beat levels of insane to pull me back in

[ad_1] 3 min read Last Updated : Oct 11 2024 | 12:13 AM IST From Tetley Tea to Jaguar Land Rover and Air India, Ratan Tata has checked off almost every item on his bucket list. However, one that remains unfinished is the electric version of his small car, the Tata Nano. A concept entrusted to Coimbatore-based Jayem Automotives (Jayem Auto) is still on the shelves, despite nearly 400 cars being launched, primarily due to Covid-19 and new crash norms. On Thursday, Ola founder Bhavish Agarwal, who considers Tata his hero, recalled this dream project on the X platform, claiming how Tata himself took him to Coimbatore to give him a glimpse of his pet project. They even drove the car together on a test track, an experience that later inspired Agarwal to launch Ola Electric. Click here to connect with us on WhatsApp “One day in 2017, I got a call from him asking me to come to Mumbai. He just said, ‘Bhavish, I want to take you somewhere and show you something exciting’. We flew in his plane to Coimbatore to see his personal project of making electric vehicles (EVs) out of the Tata Nano! He was so passionate and excited about EVs. He even drove me in one on a test track and then pointed out such detailed improvements to the engineers. That was the day Ola Electric really got started,” Agarwal said. In 2015, Tata thought about creating a low-cost EV, which gave birth to a product called the Neo EV. It was jointly developed by Jayem and the Tata group. The Jayem Neo EV, or the electric Tata Nano as it is often referred to, was engineered and developed by Jayem in close partnership with Tata, under the supervision of Emeritus Chairman Ratan Tata. According to media reports, two versions were planned: a 48-volt version and a more powerful 72-volt version. The project gained momentum in 2018 when Jayem produced a batch of 400 cars, supplying them to Ola Cabs for use in Hyderabad and Bengaluru at the onset of the pandemic. “I don’t want to talk about the EV project. Why should we discuss a project that didn’t succeed due to many government regulations? Covid-19 and the new crash regulations affected the expansion of the project,” said Jayem Auto Managing Director J Anand. “We still have a good relationship with the group,” he added. According to an Autocar India report, Neo EV was never put on sale due to several factors, one being that engineers were still working to reduce the costs of the 72-volt version. In addition to the pandemic, stringent crash test norms also contributed to the project’s downfall. Currently, Jayem Auto is a joint venture between Anand’s company and the Chennai-based Murugappa Group-promoted Tube Investments of India (TII). Through its subsidiary, TI Clean Mobility, TII acquired a 50 per cent stake in Jayem Auto last year. At present, Jayem Auto is designing, developing, testing, and manufacturing a wide range of automotive components, systems, and prototypes, with deep expertise in EVs. Anand said he has no plans to revive the project. First Published: Oct 11 2024 | 12:12 AM IST [ad_2] Source link

another silly movie update, watched the original predator and the second movie that came after it and ngl, i kinda like the second one more than the first and avps HAHA if i had to rank them rn cause im watching predators atm, it would be like:
predator 2
prey
predators + the predator (2018)
avp
predator
avp: requiem
i might watch the alien movies too cause i remember vaguely the 3rd one and that used to scare the shit out of little kid me 😭😭
edit: just finished predators, i thought it was pretty good, list updated and onto the predator ‼️‼️
edit 2: OKAY so the predator was kinda more silly tbh but still really enjoyed it, kinda hate the hella cgi aspect but really enjoyed the little group they had (i was actually really upset that most of them kicked the bucket but i already knew from the jump that the group was gonna go down one by one) TBHHHH I KINDA FEEL LIKE PREDATORS AND THE PREDATOR IS TIED RN SO THEYRE GONNA BE THIRD TOGETHER UNTIL I FEEL TO CHANGE IT LOL
ALSO MAN, THAT SMALL TRAITOR YAUTJA IN THE MOVIE WAS FR TRYING TO HELP THEM OUT, BUT THE CIRCUMSTANCES WERE NOT ALIGNING WELL FOR HIM AT ALL 😭😭 he’s probably my favorite since i think he was the chillest one besides the yautja in avp that teamed up with lex
ngl i might have to rewatch requiem cause i was watching it while doing my hw so i wasnt really paying that much attention so 💀

Watch List- English Language Movies (Latest Update Aug. 4, 2024)
My extensive movies list. Not numbered because tumblr has a character limit in blocks of text that affect numbered lists apparently, but fyi before you open the read more there are 300+ entries in this list.
Because of the sheer number of things I want to watch I’m separating my watch list posts into four categories. I keep them separate primarily for organization so I can decide what to watch based different variables (mood, time, language, etc)
I’m pretty much constantly adding things to all of my lists- hence why I’m amending when this was last updated to the title itself- and will update this post anytime I update the wheel I use to randomize my next choice, which usually happens after I’ve added or subtracted a significant number of options.

the official @shaxqueer list of "shakespeare i've done"
*updated 5/6/24*
All's Well That Ends Well
Antony and Cleopatra: saw a performance that friends were in, which was cool because nobody does this play
As You Like It: saw a performance that a friend was in, would love to be in one day!
Comedy of Errors
Coriolanus: I really really want to direct/act in it (thanks @lungthief). only read it so far though
Cymbeline: no, but had vague plans to direct it before the pandemic
Hamlet: Holy moly yes. 2019-2020 Claudius/Ghost/asst. director; 2021 Rosencrantz/Marcellus; 2023 Ophelia; 2024 fight choreographer. Plus ones that didn't get off the ground (2021 Player Queen; 2020 Fortinbras/Marcellus).
Henry IV, Part 1: A personal fave, but only read (once with @socialshakespeare!). Prince Hal is my dream role.
Henry IV, Part 2
Henry V: Saw friends perform
Henry VI, Part 1: Watched as part of Hollow Crown, read as part of Rose Rage
Henry VI, Part 2: ditto
Henry VI, Part 3: ditto
Henry VIII
Julius Caesar: Another fave. Will be fight choreographing this summer (2024).
King John: I played a character who played Constance and Arthur in a different show, does that count? I don't think anyone's gonna put on King John anytime soon...
King Lear: Was going to be involved in a Lear-adjacent show as Goneril and fight choreo, but it was cancelled
Love's Labour's Lost
Macbeth: Directed/performed an audio adaptation (2020, Malcolm/Banquo/Lady Macduff), acted in another (2022, Malcolm/Lady Macduff), and acting/fight choreo again (2023, Duncan/Lady Macduff). Plans are to fight choreo again (October 2024).
Measure for Measure: My problematic fave that I want to direct/act one day.
The Merry Wives of Windsor: Acted/adapted (2022, Mistress Ford/Slender)
A Midsummer Night's Dream: Acted/co-directed (2019, Titania/Hippolyta). Doing fight choreo in 2024.
Much Ado About Nothing: Did fight choreo in 2023, acting in 2024 (Don Pedro/Verges + other tracks)
Othello: Only read.
Pericles
Richard II: If you ask me what my favorite Shakespeare play is, unprompted, this is what I'll say. One day I'll direct/act in it. One day.
Richard III: One pandemic reading that never materialized (2020, Anne), and one audio drama that thankfully did (2024, Anne again).
Romeo and Juliet: I have the dubious honor of having played Gregory, Sampson, and Abraham... all at once (2018, different show). 2023 Nurse/Montague.
Taming of the Shrew: Alas, no. The 2024 production I was going to fight choreo was cancelled.
The Tempest: Did a virtual pandemic reading. But one day...
Timon of Athens: I wish.
Titus Andronicus
Troilus and Cressida: Underrated.
Twelfth Night: My first Shakespeare ever (2016? Captain and Priest). 2022 Sebastian, and currently (2024) Andrew + other tracks
Two Gentlemen of Verona: Another bucket list item.
A Winter's Tale
MISC. CLASSICAL THEATER + ADJACENT:
Emma (2023, Harriet)
Cyrano de Bergerac (2016, Cavalier 1/Cadet 1)
Doctor Faustus (planned to direct 2023, hopefully directing in 2024/25)
Edward II (have you ever read a play that sucked so much that you fell in love with it?)
On ne badine pas avec l'amour: performed IN FRENCH (2022, Camille)
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (2017, ensemble)
Le Misanthrope (I have a dream to direct it with a female lead)
No Exit (2020, Inez)
A Christmas Carol (2021, Belle)
Emilia (2021, Lord Howard)
#personal#this really is for my personal memory#bc i don't think anyone finds my resume as interesting as i do lol#but if you do feel free to ask me about stuf!#*stuff#shakespeare i’ve done

brilliant lights will cease to burn (by my hand i'll reignite them)

Status: Dead — last updated 2018
Summary: Midoriya Izuku is quirkless. This, he knows very well. This is also what he knows: Weekends and vacations are reserved for walking neighborhood dogs. The elderly are the most powerful people on Earth. Local gods are picky eaters. Trust is a feeble, feeble thing. Magic cards are incredibly difficult to seal, especially when the world thinks you're a vigilante. Heroes are not magicians, but magicians can be heroes. Becoming a cardcaptor wasn't on Izuku's bucket list, but he'll be damned if he doesn't make the best out of it.
My thoughts: Hilarious. Awesome. Great. I love it. Fabulous. You should totally read, even with no knowledge of Card Captor Sakura (like I did lol). (That's a lie I had some context from an AnEx xover.)

New Waterford, N.S., woman announced as winner of $31 million Lotto Max Draw
The long-anticipated winner of the Maritimes’ largest multi-million dollar lottery prize has officially been announced.
Atlantic Lottery says the winner of the $31 million Lotto Max Draw ticket is Marie McCarthy of New Waterford, N.S. – the Cape Breton community where the ticket was sold.
The ticket was purchased at Needs Convenience on Emerald Street. The retailer will receive a one per cent seller's prize.
According to McCarthy, the ticket was given to her as a birthday gift on Jan. 31 by her grandson, Jeff.
She says she was in "total disbelief" after she and her grandson checked the numbers on the ticket. The reality of the win only started sinking in when she called Atlantic Lottery to validate the ticket.
“Jeff checked the ticket and he hollered down, ‘You got all the numbers,’ and I said, ‘Yeah, right,’” McCarthy said.
“He came running down the stairs with his phone out checking it and kept saying I had all the numbers.”
McCarthy says the win still doesn't seem real.
“I never really thought about a bucket list or anything before because I never figured I’d have the money to do anything on it," she said.
As far as McCarthy's plans moving forward, she says she will treat herself to a new-to-her vintage Cadillac.
She also plans to share a lot of the prize money with her loved ones, help her immediate family, brother and sisters, and pay off the mortgages of all her nieces and nephews.
During Thursday's announcement, McCarthy said the win likely won't sink in until she sees her updated bank statement.
Atlantic Lottery says the largest prize ever won in Atlantic Canada was $60 million in Newfoundland and Labrador in February 2018.
In 2020, a Cape Breton couple won $17.4 million in a Lotto 6/49 jackpot. Raymond and Gaye Lillington of Dingwall, N.S., also won another jackpot worth $3.2 million seven years earlier.

Man, I’m wistfully thinking about how Skyblock just CONSUMED my life from 2018–mid-2020. And I don’t want that knowledge to go to waste.
So here’s a COMPREHENSIVE LIST on how to develop your Vanilla Skyblock world (under the readmore):
Spawn in and break enough logs from the tree to make a crafting table and a wooden pickaxe. Don’t destroy any extra logs—you don’t want all the leaves to decay just yet.
Place down a crafting table (to the left of the chest) and craft a wooden pickaxe. Go in the chest and grab the ice and lava bucket. Make the cobble generator, with water flowing on one end onto the bedrock, and on the other off the edge.
Mine enough cobble as you need. Craft a lot of them into cobble slabs, and craft some into cobble walls. Make a furnace as well, and place it down (to the right of the chest).
Swim slowly down the water stream and place a pillar of cobble 3 blocks tall beneath the bedrock, then build a whole platform from there. The platform should be made of cobble top slabs, with cobble walls around the outside. Make sure the platform surrounds the bottom of the island.
Return to what’s left of the oak tree and break the rest of the logs. Try to collect the saplings as the leaves decay (if you’re not careful don’t worry, they should fall onto the platform below).
Smelt a piece charcoal for torches. Light up what you have—the top of the island where the tree was, and the platform below.
Mine out the island, you’ll need the dirt for later. Replace the dirt at the top of the island with cobble slabs. (To preserve the cobble generator, use full cobble blocks. You can make it look as neat as you like.)
Build a large platform at the top of the island. Equally space out spots in the platform to put dirt blocks (5 blocks apart). This will be your oak farm. Later in the future, it will be your dual oak/birch farm.
Smelt up more charcoal for torches. Now you can get enough torches to light up the whole tree farm. (I recommend going into a creative test world to find a torch placement pattern which uses torches as sparingly and calculatedly as possible.)
Grind cobble and wood to prepare for a big expedition. You’ll be bridging over to the sand island. You’ll be using cobble slabs, walls, and torches, and you’ll be starting on the bottom platform (so you can get under the sand island).
Bridge over. Use torches calculatedly (like before). Make a cobble platform under the sand island just as you did for the main island before. Place torches under every block sand is going to fall on.
Place a torch on one of the bottom blocks of sand and let it all break on the torches. Collect the sand and cactus. Empty the chest and break it. Leave the platform be, this will be the “sand platform”.
Go back to the main island to grind cobble. The cobble is for a new platform you’ll build out by the sand platform to build a nether portal.
You should also already be regularly farming oak trees to get a regular supply of apples—this will be your food source.
Make the nether portal and light it on fire using lava and the wood it catches on fire. Travel to the nether and bridge over to the nether island. Grab the stuff in the chest and break the chest. Take it back with you to the overworld.
Among the things you returned with, the nether chest gave you a birch sapling and your second block of ice. Make an infinite water source and expand your oak farm to have birch trees on a different side as well.
Go back out to the sand platform and start building another platform where you’ll have a mob farm in the sky. This will be a very intensive process which requires a lot of cobble and some back-and-forth to get an infinite water source for the eight water source blocks flowing at the top.
Finish your mob farm and start grinding. The mobs you’ll find will be zombies, creepers, spiders, and skeletons, with some rare zombie villagers, witches, and chicken jockeys.
The zombies will give you rare drops of iron ingots, carrots, and potatoes. The witches will give you your first redstone, as well as glowstone and glass bottles. The skeletons will give you a steady supply of bows and arrows without you needing to craft your own.
Build a sugarcane farm and a mushroom farm (I prefer one which grows giant mushrooms). Also, if you want, you can build a small lake with the infinite water source and go fishing to switch your food source over to fish.
Go back to the nether with a lot more cobble and build a nether mob farm too. Build it in a nether fortress (compare it in a normal creative world with the same seed) so you get zombie pigmen, wither skeletons, blazes, and magma cubes.
Oh shit did I say zombie pigmen? Sorry, I haven’t done this in 1.16 and beyond yet. I’ve only played this far in Skyblock in 1.11–1.15. (Do zombified piglins work the same way?) Modify these for your particular game update and your playing habits.
Anyways the zombie pigmen would have given you your first gold. The blazes will give you blaze rods for a brewing stand. Use both to get golden apples and potions of weakness.
(Although this wasn’t intended when Skyblock was first created back in Beta 1.7, you can still cure zombie villagers using only the items given to you. You get the brewing stand from blazes, the glass bottles from witches, the fermented spider eye from spiders, mushrooms and sugarcane, the gunpowder to make the potion splashing from creepers, and the golden apple from gold nuggets and oak trees.)
Head back to the overworld. Do you already have a large flat platform which you can stand a good distance away from? The sand platform? Great! Break all the torches and let mobs spawn there.
Build a watchtower and shoot off any mob that’s not a zombie villager. (Be careful of endermen and zombie hordes.) Once you find a zombie villager, be VERY CAREFUL. Single them off in a boat and cure them. You’ll need to cure two zombie villagers.
At this point, this is the limit of my knowledge with Skyblock. The last time I got this far, my world corrupted and I would never get this far in a Skyblock world ever again. So the rest of this will be all propositional.
Breed the villagers and make a rudimentary trading hall. Use these villagers to get your first basic items which were only accessible through trading: diamond armor, diamond tools, lapis lazuli, redstone, glass.
Get super kitted out: enchanted diamond armor and gear. Your island should look top-notch when you build all the other possible farms: wheat, carrot, potato, beetroot, cactus, iron.
Expand the island some more until you find a wandering trader. Get as many items you can’t normally get in Skyblock: saplings, flowers, red sand, and especially podzol (can be converted into dirt, a now renewable resource).
Finally, you can do the one thing that I’ve refrained from mentioning this entire time: build a house. Except not just any house. Build the biggest mansion you can imagine. I mean you’ve pretty much reached endgame! Enchanted diamond armor, 99% completion on your island, you can surely take on as monumental a task as a mansion.
Plan it out, and devote weeks and months to building this mansion. When you’re finally done, take a step back and relax. You’ve done it. You’ve beaten the game. You’ve done everything you can in a vanilla Skyblock world. And all by yourself.
#peysi talks#minecraft#mineblr#minecraft skyblock#wrote this all in one hour or else I’d forget#as such it’s not polished but I just wanted to get it out#edit: made some changes to be more clear

Uroboros Saga, 2021 Update
I haven't published anything in about three years. I am writing, every day, and a lot of that work goes toward my various projects, including Uroboros Saga. This post is to let my readership know a little of what’s up.
In late 2018, shortly after publishing my 8th Novella, I became very ill. Clinical grade General Anxiety Disorder. I was in really bad shape.
It took fourteen months of working on myself, going to therapy, figuring out the right medication, lifestyle changes, and so forth, to be functional. In the aftermath, my partner became ill, with a similar affliction, but completely different somatic and physical symptoms. When I put the last three years into context, beside the Global Pandemic, and everything else going on, I cease being too hard on myself.
I feel badly that my readership has waited so long for new things to read. I feel like I'm bursting at the seams, with so many stories I want to tell. Learning to be a creative with mental wellness, and the intent of maintaining that wellness, adjacent the isolation of weathering the pandemic, has been difficult. All the things that I draw inspiration from, ward off imposter syndrome with, and used as a muse, are mostly unavailable to me.
Inspiration for Dystopian Science Fiction, right now, isn't in short supply. Governments around the world regularly challenge me to get grim, and find new things for people to wonder about, that aren't already happening. My notebooks overflow.
I'm not really smart enough to write science fiction. I'm more an Urban Paranormal, or Fantasy genre writer, by training. I have my partner get me a lot of research, and I've attended science seminars at the university to battle the imposter syndrome. I've had to come to grips with the notion that being smart enough doesn't matter, as long as my audience is entertained.
My muse has always been people. I will sit at a coffee shop, and just listen to ten people talk at once, letting my brain soak up their problems, joys, worries, and so forth. Not having that auditory component, that bit of the real world, is something I haven't been able to get over. I had to isolate while I wasn't well, had a short break before the pandemic, and started again.
Just seeing people's faces on video chat, and to hear their voice, helps a lot. I run a lot of D&D, but the format isn't the same as being there, and hearing the true tone of a person's voice. With trained public speakers, a transcript is fine, but for writing authentic feeling dialogue, it takes a connection, or presence, of people.
I talk to myself in the shower a lot, and that helps.
I'm creating text and environmental descriptions for books 9, 10, 11, and 12. I've everything laid out to finish the Book 7-9 plot arc, and start the new 10-12 story. I've got character designs, cover work prototyped, and timelines set for how it'll all unfold. I really want to tell everyone what I've got planned. I'm on the verge of exploding, you know?
I've done a little legwork on having audio books done, but that's something I think I may end up doing myself. I get compliments on my voice all the time, and think my readership would appreciate hearing the books read by me. Let me know if you agree, or disagree with that.
Anyway, I'd write script for the first three books, I think. Do a test chapter, and let people sample it. My new place has a pretty ideal space for doing audio work, with some upgrades.
For the Uroboros Saga Tabletop RPG, I've jumped back and forth between my old Storytelling Sciences System, and maybe licensing the Cypher System, D20, or similar. Because I'm a game design person, most of how I set up and tested Uroboros Saga, originally, was done with Storytelling Sciences. Before I wrote a single book, characters were made, and dice were rolled.
I really want to produce and publish a Tabletop RPG. It's very high on the bucket list, and I've always got a handful in the works. Retroclone Classic Dungeons & Dragons has been a passion of mine, since playing the game in the 1980s. I'm trying to pull all my projects toward some more common ground, so the work I do gets pushes them all forward.
That's not always possible, but I'm trying.
I've sort of given up thinking I'll ever finish Uroboros Saga, and move on. The media isolation from certain Science Fiction movies, books, and so forth felt necessary in the beginning. Uroboros Saga is enough it's own thing, I don't need to worry so much about it getting tainted by other things.
I'm definitely going to get caught up on all the science fiction I've missed in the last eight years. Recommendations welcome.
I'm mostly writing this to let people that Uroboros Saga is still a thing. A thing I intend to make more of. And, to thank my readership for their patience.

Shawn Mendes Teases New 'Wonder' Single & Album With Trailer: Watch
A new era of Shawn Mendes is coming, which the pop star announced in a new trailer for his upcoming album Wonder on Wednesday (Sept. 30).
The video finds two swallows, identical to the one tattooed on his hand, perched on the window sill of his artsy home where Mendes plays the "Intro" tune on his piano. But a blinding discovery takes him on an adventure to Wonderland led by the swallows. The trailer ends with two dates, Oct. 2 and Dec. 4, which correlate with an Oct. 2 release date for his "Wonder" title track and a Dec. 4 release date for the Wonder album. Wonder can be pre-ordered here.
Radio personality Elvis Duran tweeted Wednesday that the "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back" singer will join him on his show Friday to discuss his new single "Wonder." Maybe he won't be holding anything else back about the album, but he did post a letter to his social media that spoke on the inspiration behind his first project since his eponymous third LP from 2018.
"I’ve missed you all so much! I know it’s been a really scary year for everyone so I’m sending buckets of love to all of you x I wrote an album. It’s called 'Wonder,'" he penned in the handwritten letter. "It really feels like a piece of me has been written down on paper and recorded into song. I tried to be as real and as honest as I’ve ever been. It’s a world and a journey and a dream and an album I’ve been wanting to make for a really long time. I absolutely love it. Thank you for being by my side for so many years. I love you all so much This is the introduction to the album out Dec 4th, and the first single 'Wonder' is out this Friday. I hope you can listen front to back!"
And for anyone in the Mendes Army still wondering "What is Wonder?," Mendes created a whole website with that question as the URL. The link, which he tweeted out and posted in his YouTube video description, gives fans an intimate 360-degree tour of the apartment featured in the trailer, which is filled with potential Easter eggs.
A sheet of notebook paper on the floor reveals a setlist that could be outlining the album's tracklist: "The Intro," "Wonder," "Can't Take My Eyes Off You," "Lost in Japan," "Nervous," "Never Be Alone," "Look Up at the Stars," "Lost Ones," "Why," "Always Been You," "Monster (w/ special guest)," "Higher" and "Picture of the Moon." The list of songs also highlights a phone number (305-745-7485) that fans can text for updates about Wonder.
