came up with this au like actually 2 years ago where it's mainly empires 2 smallidarity centric, with Jimmy as a student council member and Joel as an honours student who doesn't like the way Jimmy runs things around the school.

As payback for the regulations Jimmy put up that Joel thought was stupid, Joel does these elaborate 'The Office' style pranks on Jimmy (specifically) while Jimmy retaliates by trying his best to dig up dirt on Joel. This banter goes on for a while— however Joel ends up doing the pranks less as a statement, and instead more just to see how Jimmy would react... with his comical, cartoony villain yells, and... weirdly cute face....? (YAOI YAOI YAOI YAOI)

Final Fantasy VIII has a lot of influence on RWBY but the first most notable example was also foreshadowing

quite famously in the Yellow trailer, the picture Yang shows Junior of the person she's looking for is a piece that Monty had made years before titled Transient Princess, which had initially started as something with Rinoa Heartilly, a major character in VIII's story

Rinoa, during the events of FFVIII, becomes a Sorceress - the only real magic users in the setting, all Sorceresses are women and their power transfers to someone else when they die. Rinoa has a white feather motif and manifests wings when using her Sorceress power

we later learn that Yang was actually looking for her mother, Raven Branwen (whose last name means 'white or blessed raven'), who has a lot of feathers in her design

and then in volume 5 we learn that she's a Maiden, one of the only real magic users in the setting, all 4 Maidens are women and their powers transfer to someone else when they die

meaning it was right fucking in front of us before the show even started

Not to be talking about something that came out in 2010 but Supernatural episode 5.22 Swan Song is, in my opinion, the best episode of television ever. The episode is told with this narration about the Impala, leading to the Impala reminding Sam of Dean just long enough that he can overpower the devil and stop the Apocalypse. The parallel between Sam and Dean and Michale and Lucifer is just beautifully done. How Lucifer asks Michael not to fight him and Michael refuses, only for Lucifer to have to see Dean show up and be there for his little brother. Dean shows up for Sam, even if it means he'll have to watch Sam die, just so he doesn't have to die alone. Dean refuses to fight him even if it means getting killed because he loves Sam. It's contrasted by Michael and Lucifer. Michael refuses to reason with his brother, is willing to kill his brother for an absent father, while Dean is willing to die just so Sam doesn't have to be alone. Sam is able to overpower Lucifer because of this immense difference in their relationships with their brothers. Sam and Dean win, but it doesn't really feel like it. Sam has to choose a fate worse than anyone could imagine, and he does it willingly. And Dean has to go on living, knowing his brother is being tortured beyond anything he can imagine. Its such a beautiful and tragic story.

Secondly, yes, "his contract ended", which is exactly why they decided to use so many camera cuts during the JJ and Kiara bonfire scene (including a double for certain takes) and why there was a lack of closeness in other scenes. I'm not just blaming them, I’m holding everyone involved accountable: the actors, their partners, and the producers.

Acknowledging that they handled it poorly doesn’t mean I’m sending hate. It’s completely unprofessional on all sides that things escalated to this point. And also, embarrassing when you have a real ex couple being more mature than you.
