I can't believe autism is real!
Here is my take on HAL 9000's humanoid form. He has a very complete and functional body. His insides are mostly made of synthetic organs and wires.
He has full capability to feel and process complex emotions even though he is learning how to manage said stimuli in a healthy way, without feeling overwhelmed.
