Can I Just take a moment to scream into the void my frustrations about how WELL they write Wukong so we have NO IDEA what’s going on with anything and theorizing is practically impossible?
S5 spoilers included sportactically
.
.
.
.
He is THE one in the show that does not give up anything about what he does and does not know and when he does it’s easily counter with another statement that counters it or brings it into question. He’s surprised Azure came back but not Macaque, for example. He never has a plan, yet everything he does nudges everything in the direction it needs to go. I’ve said before that he is the most planning non-planner that has ever existed. I see it as him having incredibly fine-tuned instincts that in his existence is the same as having a carefully detailed 20-step plan that others would have but i digress…
Does he know what’s really going on? Clearly not, but he knows something. Did he know there were trials? He acts like he doesn’t but simultaneously does things like divert MK from the mural and push him to go to the colored stone, which apparently he didn’t know was up there (but DID he though????) He is frustratingly good at making everyone think he’s a bit dense but it’s clear he’s not. It’s seems like he’s taking a back seat and it’s all intentional.
Did he kill Macaque? Something happened. He doesn’t give ANY indications about his take on what happened. He doesn’t seem surprised when Macaque comes back yet in their argument he questions how he did. In the flashback he seems shocked though, like he didn’t understand what he just saw. But when MK questions if Macaque’ll get away, Wukong acts upset about it, like he knows Macaque didn’t get away from HIM. SO…????????
It’s like things just happen around him and he literally doesn’t question anything ever (Macaque even points that out) yet he is the 4D chess guy who is always acting (not thinking) 5 steps ahead of everyone else. He’s impulsive but that’s his schtick and he uses it to his advantage by making everyone think he’s flying by the seat of his pants . Which to be fair he kinda is but just because he can’t really verbalize what he’s planning to anyone doesn’t mean he isn’t thinking through dozens of high-level scenarios.
I don’t buy that he is just sitting back letting things happen yet he does seem surprised when he realizes what MK is going to do. I don’t buy that he hadn’t already put that together, especially since he shared the initial vision with MK. Maybe he was already counting on it being him and wasn’t even considering MK would try. Maybe he got a DIFFERENT vision. Who the hell knows? He’s not gonna tell.
He has no idea who the NHD is. And it seems to bother him. It’s not the first time he doesn’t remember stuff, but it really seems to puzzle him. This is the guy that has been manipulating everything almost the whole show, and not necessarily in a bad way. If ANYTHING I’d say he and Wukong were probably friends. I mean - he DID free MK early so he could get a taste for life and have context to make a decision. That’s totally a thing Wukong would be on board with, especially if it was a monkey born from his own stone. If NHD did something in the past that make them enemies, what was it when the big bad he did this time was just to let MK experience life? It’s not exactly a dick move.
The only thing I can come up with, other than he 1) just has no idea what’s going on and 2) he totally knows and is just playing his part, is that it’s 3) a bit of both.
The cycles happen. The show is subbing the idea in for reincarnation, I think, because if the gang was reincarnated in the usual way it would be at odds with the whole ‘reaching enlightenment’ thing because reincarnation is in effect, a punishment-ish to try and get it all right. But if everyone gets recycled at the same time, that’s different. What I can’t wrap my head around is that Wukong is immortal, so what happens to him? Does a cycle reset all the gods too? I doubt it, probably just the mortal realm, but he arguably walks the line between moral and celestial since he was born from the stone yet worked his way up to having all the celestial powers and rank. He is literally born of earth and sky.
So, I wonder if it happened before but it affected his memory. My current theory, which is going to be 100% wrong but my brain needs to make order out of the history before the chaos they just unleashed, is that the exact same scenario happened with Wukong and Macaque that happened with Wukong and MK, which Macaque somewhat remembers but Wukong does not - at least not entirely.
Stay with me here - I think Macaque tried to sacrifice himself and Wukong tried to stop him, and because he is the 6-eared macaque or because he was technically dead, he wasn’t impacted by a cycle reset and because Wukong is immortal he only wound up with his memories affected for some reason, which he does recognize.
But because Wukong is Wukong and operated just as much on his gut as he does his mind and he is the closiest closed book I HAVE EVER SEEN we have NO idea what is happening in that stupid monkey’s head which means whatever is happening we get NO clues from him and if we do it’s unreliable! Is he really just dumb and doesn’t think about all this stuff? Does he know exactly what’s going on? Does he realize that there is something wrong with him but because he doesn’t know what it is he just chugs along following his instincts and trying to piece it all together silently in his head? The guy is OLD and I could see either him OR Macaque manipulating everyone, however benign or not, for any myriad of reasons. Macaque sure as hell is hiding stuff but the show lets us know that he is (or - it’s possible he doesn’t remember EITHER), so we can piece some things together but not so for the Monkey King.
Anyway……they write Wukong so annoyingly tight-lipped that he doesn’t even give a HINT of what he’s thinking or feeling other than MK and to some extent, Macaque and that makes it really difficult to theorize because he is arguably the most important piece of the giant puzzle.

I have a question - I'm trying to manifest 20/20 vision but Ima bit confused in acting as if. I don't know how to imagine it or what I'm supposed to be imagining. I know I'm supposed to stay in the 4D and be fulfilled there but like I said I'm stuck on what to imagine.
And ofc I'm trying my best to ignore the 3D but it's kinda hard to especially when I wake up and I always see blurry and I can't ignore/dismiss it. I don't wear glasses or contacts. It's just so annoying having to wake up and see blurriness. I need help Idk what to do 😭
Hello!
Girl i feel you, having a low vision is a pain in the ass😮💨, i too wear glasses but just in class. (I don't see clearly from afar)
Look if i was in your shoes, i would keep affirming that i have 20/20 vision regardless of what is happening in the 3d, why? Cause i know that ignoring the 3d will just do harm, instead! I would know the 3d will change and everything's going to work out for me in the end.
Trust your imagination.
If you keep affirming that you still don't have 20/20 vision well the subconscious gonna Work on that and that what you'll get. (A subconscious post coming soon).
But if you keep persisting in your assumption that you have 20/20 vision regardless of what your 3d is showing you + knowing that the 3d will change ➜ you get your desire in the 3d.
Read this document it is much helpful.
If you see bluriness when you wake up just Say "oh my! I Can see everything clearly!"
That way your subconscious will believe that you're seeing clearly.
Don't forget to keep persisting.
See ya! Muah!💋🎀

Even if you’re seeing blurry you can still affirm you have 20/20 vision. Your subconscious doesn’t have eyes to tell you “You’re lying because I can see your vision is blurry.” lol
It will believe you when you tell it you have perfect vision. Don’t be afraid to get glasses because even if you get glasses you can tell yourself you’re wearing them for the aesthetic (they’re not prescription) and not because you need them since your vision is perfect.

How can I manifest 20/20 vision? My eyesight is so bad and I don't wear glasses or contacts, so I always see blurry, How am I supposed to assume I have 20/20 vision when I always see blurry and I can't ignore/dismiss it because It's litterally my vision
Well u don't have to ignore or dismiss anything in 3d because as u said it is right in front of u buy u assume u have clear vision in your IMAGINATION because you already know that your imagination creates reality and whatever you assume to be true in your 4d would also reflect and be true in your 3d. You can do that by affirming you have clear vision, having a inner convo of someone telling you your eyesight is what u desire say like a doctors appointment or eye test or anything you want

Hi virgo, how would i live in the 4d for my vision. I want 20/20 vision and i know we’re supposed to imagine but i can’t get myself to think “seeing” without glasses or contacts lol
I can understand how that can be tricky. I wear contacts as well, and I know that throughout the day I forget I'm even wearing them, and having perfect vision feels natural to me. If you recall, your subconscious mind is blind. So, your subconscious mind doesn't know that your vision is blurry. You don't have to pretend that you're seeing things clearly, but you have to stay faithful to the fact that your vision will become clearer as you persist. Imagination can be as simple as affirming to yourself that you have perfect vision, even if you don't.

Chapter 1/3
(Gen, teenage Matt Murdock)
In O & M, Ms. Lucero taught Matt to hold his cane like a pencil, directing it with his index finger to give him control. He swings the cane to the right when he steps forward with his left foot, then swings it left when he steps with his right foot. The counterintuitive rhythm took a while to master. But he mastered it.
There’s no one else to take care of him, not unless you count Stick. And Matt’s not sure if he does.
He pulls open the heavy bodega door and carefully finds his way to the deli counter and grill at the back. Today is the first day of the month. The church gets to keep Matt’s Social Security Disability payments, but Sister Mary Ignacia always slips him some cash; he has four fives folded lengthwise in his pocket and he plans to spend one on a sandwich and a Snapple from the cold case.
The bodega is crowded. Whoever is on the grill today is talking loudly in Spanish with some other guys. Matt hears a clutter of overlapping heartbeats and starts to get overwhelmed. Who’s on line to order and who is waiting for their food and who is just here hanging out? Where should he stand? Do they see him already?
Stick gave him a breathing exercise to calm him down at times like this, but Matt can’t remember it. There is no reason for him to be here; they’ve got peanut butter back at St. Agnes’s. He turns around, reorients himself to the aisle, and taps himself back to the front of the store.
“Hey, kid,” a voice calls. “Blind kid. Hold up. I got you next!” But Matt is already pushing his way out the jangling door like a weirdo. Right foot, tap. Left foot, tap. Half-running. He trips over something he should have found with his cane, and goes sprawling. His palms sting.
No matter how fast he is, he can’t get away from himself.
::::
When he first got discharged from the hospital, different neighbors would take turns coming to sit with him while his dad was at work. “What do my eyes look like?” Matt asked Trang from 4D. One year older than him, raspberry-scented body wash, playing her GameBoy Pocket on the other end of the couch.
“They’re brown,” she said without pausing her game.
“Yeah, duh. But do they look weird? Or normal.
“Normal.”
“Do they look different at all? If you didn’t know me, would you think I could see?”
“I guess.” Trang’s breathing maintained its steady in and out. Link’s ocarina played a song. “Maybe if I wasn’t really paying attention.”
“What if you were paying attention?”
“Then I’d probably know. Because you don’t really look at things, do you?”
“Oh. Right,” Matt said.
::::
His life should feel so different now from what it used to be. But a lot of things are still the same. He still goes to City Knoll Middle School in the P.S. 111 building on West 53rd. He confesses his sins to the same priests and attends catechism class with the same kids from the neighborhood. He's known Nico Persiani by sight for years – he's the kid with the white cane and the extra-thick but mostly useless glasses. But the two of them never really talked until Matt moved to St. Agnes’s.
Now that they live in the same dorm, Nico wants to be friends. And he never shuts up. He tells Matt all kinds of personal stuff. That he’s twelve, too, and his corrected vision is 20/300 in his better eye. That his dead mom was from St. Thomas, in the Caribbean, that his white dad surrendered parental rights, but sends guilty letters when he’s drunk that the nuns love to read out loud. That the new Star Wars movie sucked, but Ewan MacGregor is actually a better Obi-Wan than Sir Alec Guiness was. That his favorite food is sushi and his favorite color is yellow.
Then, he stops himself. “Oh, man. Sorry. I’m not trying to be a jerk about it.”
“It’s cool. You’re allowed to have a favorite color.”
Matt listens to Nico’s heartbeat and the squeak of thin-soled sneakers on the linoleum as the other boy awkwardly shifts his weight. It is garbage day and the smell drifting in through the cracked window is terrible. The ceiling fan stirs the hot air, but the pressure tells Matt it’ll rain tonight. The A uptown express is passing through the tunnel under their feet and some of the older girls are in the rectory, playing Janet Jackson’s “Together Again” on repeat while they practice their routine for the dance team.
Matt’s head hurts, like it always does now, and every inch of his skin hurts. His heart hurts, too, a pain that feels real and grounded in the body. And Nico feels bad for him because he can’t see colors.
“I heard what happened to you,” says Nico.
“I know,” says Matt. Everyone has.
::::
He used to get comped tickets for Battlin’ Jack Murdock’s boxing matches. He’d sit alone in the front row and watch the fight, but in between rounds, he’d turn around and watch the crowd. Old people. Young people. Mostly men, but some women mixed in. Rich and poor, shoulder to shoulder. He’d watch their faces and body language, notice the clothes they wore, make up stories about them. Who was from out of town. Who didn’t like violence. Who had bet on the loser.
He can’t do that anymore. Now, people watch him.
::::
He notices the different ways Stick uses his cane against different surfaces. One minute, his teacher might let it skim delicately over the sidewalk, then the next, he’ll slam it against the side of a newspaper box or drag it skittering over a subway grate. Sometimes there’s a long, long wait between taps, as if Stick has actually forgotten this tool that Ms. Lucero says should function as an extension of the arm. Other times, Stick holds the cane in his fist, perpendicular to the concrete, and he brings the tip down with a hard rap, like he’s trying to poke a hole in the street. BANG. It makes Matt jump.
Maybe Stick is listening for the echoes. Maybe he’s just trying to get people’s attention so they’ll get out of his way. Matt’s not stupid enough to think that Stick doesn’t always know exactly what he’s doing. But he can’t help thinking about how it must look to anyone watching. He remembers how he used to stare at Nico, before. He knows that when he and Stick are out in public, eyes are always on them. And Stick doesn’t look very respectable. Yes, that’s why the unusual cane technique bothers him so much. Because it seems sloppy. Inconsistent.
"You get around so good,” Matt says, clothing his concern in a compliment. “Do people ever think you’re faking it?”
“Nope,” Stick says shortly. “My eyes look funny. Cataracts. You know what that is?”
“Um. Not really.”
Stick grunts. That’s his version of a shrug, a noise Matt knows means that he’s not interested in explaining further.
He grunts a lot.
::::
Matt is still painfully slow at Grade 2 contracted Braille. It takes him a long time to get through anything, so he also checks out textbooks on tape from the National Library for the Blind – each book is dozens of cassette tapes – and stays up late with his headphones, reading them both ways, over and over. His fingers tingle and his muscles are sore from training, but he is slowly getting better at everything, even if there is no one to notice or care. Matt’s IEP specifies that he should always be seated in the front of the classroom. So he can hear the teacher better? So he can find his seat easier? So someone in charge can always be watching him? He’s not really sure what the rationale is. He feels exposed.
Today, when he gets to pre-algebra, someone is sitting in his reserved seat. Matt knows it’s Brett Mahoney, one of the popular kids. He can smell the wintergreen Altoids Brett is always chewing on. He lets his cane knock into Brett’s foot and the other boy jumps up quickly.
“Oh! Sorry, man. I honestly forgot.” Then, after a pause, “Um, you know you have, like, a nasty cut? On your face?”
“Yeah,” Matt says. “Believe it or not, you are not the first person who has mentioned it. Also, I can feel it. I’m not stupid.”
“OK,” says Brett. “You know it’s bleeding, though, right?”
“It’s bleeding now?” Matt lifts his hand to his brow to check and to his surprise, his fingers come away sticky.
So that’s how Brett ends up escorting him to the nurse’s office.
“What happened, anyway?” Brett asks on the way back. Matt hates having to depend on another middle school boy for sighted lead. He doesn’t want anyone to tease Brett, so he keeps as much space between them as possible, his fingers barely touching Brett’s bicep, but Brett doesn't seem too worried about it. And it’s nice that he isn’t assuming Matt walked into something or fell down, the way the nurse just did.
Obviously he can’t explain about Stick, though. “I was fighting,” he says. It is true.
“Did you win?”
No.”
::::
Is Stick good-looking? It's really hard to guess. He’s old and crotchety, but he could be handsome in a rugged way, Matt thinks. Anything is possible. Clearly some women like him, like Sister Dora, whose pulse picks up when Stick comes to fetch him.
“Do you have a girlfriend?” Matt asks him.
Stick ignores the question. “Time for you to get outta here, kid. I got another student coming in 10 minutes.”
Matt feels obscurely jealous. “He’s blind, too?”
“She,” Stick corrects. “No.”
“Huh.” Matt puts the escrima sticks back in their case. “Can she do all the things I can do?”
“She’s much better than you.”
“Does she work harder than me?”
“No. No one does. She’s just better.” He knocks his hand into Matt’s shoulder, a soft blow or a rough pat. “Haven’t I taught you yet that life isn’t fair?”
He didn’t need Stick for that lesson.
::::
Sometimes Matt just walks. He walks east into the anonymous scrum of Times Square and finds his way to Broadway, following it down through Midtown, through Union Square, into the Village and Soho and then Chinatown. It feels good to stretch his legs and the smell of the egg doughnuts from the famous cart makes his mouth water, but all the knockoff perfume shops on Canal exacerbate his perpetual headache. He passes by the arch he remembers and begins to cross the Manhattan Bridge on the footpath. Trains pass on the left with a metal rattle so deep he can feel it in the roots of his teeth.
He doesn’t have a watch, but a subtle drop in temperature tells him that the sun is going down now, the river far below darkening in a way he remembers from outings with his dad when he was a little kid. Halfway across the bridge, he pulls up his hood and stows his folded cane in his backpack. No one here will know he’s supposed to need it.
Downtown Brooklyn roars around him. Cars are getting on and off the BQE. Matt finds his way to the steps that wind down to street level, but he is afraid to stray too far; he doesn’t know these streets at all, and he has no way to reorient himself if he screws up. The river and Manhattan are behind him, he remembers, at his 6:00.
Matt promises he’ll just walk to the next block, recite the Nicene Creed, then turn around, retrace his steps, go back across the bridge the way he came. Return to the orphanage, his neighborhood, his whole life. His blood is beating in his ears. Strangers shove past, taking no notice of him. He’s just a white kid in a hoodie, wearing sunglasses at night. His footsteps are silent without the echoing tap he’s gotten used to.
Turn around, he tells himself. Turn around.
But he keeps walking. He could disappear completely.
Notes:
It's strongly suggested in that Season 3 flashback that that Sister Dora teaches at St. Agnes's and Matt goes to school there, but I think it makes more sense for him and Nico to go to public school, given their accessibility needs.
I love Father Lantom, but I am confused about whether he was around when Matt was a kid, or if they just meet in Season 1, so I left him out.
I'm visually impaired/low vision. If anyone blind reads this, please please please tell me what you think.

LA Galaxy: 2024 MLS Cup Champions
CARSON, Calif. – LA Galaxy are back on top, storming to a 2-1 victory over New York Red Bulls in MLS Cup 2024 presented by Audi Saturday afternoon at Dignity Health Sports Park.
By capturing the league's ultimate prize, LA hoisted the Philip F. Anschutz Trophy for a sixth time – extending the MLS Cup title record they already held.
The Galaxy scored twice inside the game's first quarter-hour, with Joseph Paintsil (9') and Dejan Joveljić (13') beating Red Bulls goalkeeper Carlos Coronel from close range. When celebrating, both stars offered a tribute to Riqui Puig after LA's Best XI midfielder tore his ACL in the Western Conference Final and couldn't feature in MLS Cup.
Despite the early hole, New York got a lifeline in the 28th minute when center back Sean Nealis volleyed home a mis-cleared corner kick. But an equalizer never came for the Emil Forsberg-led Red Bulls, who left empty-handed in their second-ever MLS Cup appearance and remain one of three league originals to never win a league title.
LA were not only champions at the final whistle, but ended their Audi 2024 MLS Cup Playoffs run with a record 18 goals scored.
Three Things THE BIG PICTURE: The Galaxy are back on top, going from a 13th-place Western Conference finish in 2023 to MLS Cup champions for the first time in a decade. This turnaround coincides with DP wingers Paintsil and Gabriel Pec being signed for reportedly around $20 million in the winter, giving head coach Greg Vanney the final pieces for his attack-centric vision. LA also end 2024 undefeated at Dignity Health Sports Park, going 17W-0L-4D across all competitions and ensuring the Red Bulls’ Cinderella run falls short. New York (East No. 7) were the lowest-ever seed to reach MLS Cup. MOMENT OF THE MATCH: Joveljić's game-winning goal almost unfolded in slow motion, before the Serbian striker toe-poked past Coronel. He ends the postseason with six goals, the second-most in MLS history. MAN OF THE MATCH: All week, debate ensued about how Galaxy coach Greg Vanney would fill their Puig-sized hole. He ultimately started Gastón Brugman, who assisted Paintsil’s opener and bossed the midfield before being replaced by Marco Reus in the 75th minute. The Uruguayan veteran was named MLS Cup 2024 MVP presented by Audi.

On the nature of Anime Girls
I have explained this ideology before, and it will be something that eventually has to be acknowledged by people at large. The anime girl is a representation of 4D/5D reality and existence. One day when I was praying to God on mushrooms in my dorm, I saw a vision of anime girls -
The devout will tell me - this is demonic; these are not "heavenly" anime girls - you only felt like they were heavenly anime girls. This in any event begins an essential discourse on how I should exactly interpret this experience.
To me, the anime girls represent what is closer to God, what is beyond human being or a nature of perfection impossible for current human beings. When I look at the anime girl, I ponder what is nice, cute, the "higher" qualities of human being like love or being sensitive. This is in my view a form of what Christianity is about except communicated through a model that can reach the majority who may or may not believe in God or Christianity. I believe this is something to be practiced like meditation.
The skin color is not meant to represent race. The skin color represents the traditional representative metaphor of light versus darkness that can be found in Egyptian and Mesopotamian beliefs like in Zoroastrianism. Hair color is meant to be representative of either race or other qualities that may be deemed appropriate.
This may raise a few eyebrows - this is because I think alot. In summary I just happen to believe that pondering the nature of anime girls would be a simple, basic benefit to society and all people. I have no guilt or shame about this in any sense. If you think I'm secretly supporting white supremacy I might chuckle and rant for 20 minutes about how you don't care about the human race and humanity. I'm in the view anime girls are here to stay because they're attractive to the physical eye of all human beings. What we need to do is exercise and monopolize utility of anime girls for the beneficial/positive spirituality of the human race. This is why I promote a more "kosher" or in my view, spiritually acceptable interpretation of anime girls and what they represent. Even to see the anime girl as race is to plunge the human race by sword from a devout perspective. Why do they wish to bring humanity and the human race down a step, down in its behaviour, towards the sinful, harmful, oppressive, and inhumane level? Why do they cause conflict? Our mission is the same both politics and religion, or what may be deemed spiritual beliefs in humanity and the human race. This is all I have to say about the matter for the time being as this is all a concept or idea. I'm currently in the middle of doing research and my own studies in ancient Egyptian/Middle Eastern beliefs in a lengthy list of readings for what I've entitled Western Philosophy and Civilization. This topic is being studied for an entirely other reason that indeed has much to do with race, politics, and social justice for a variety of reasons that will be a refreshing breeze of discourse related to Social Justice and Politics. For the time being this is Kizuna, signing off - CUTE! NICE! LOVE!
May the vision of God untainted reach the materialistic realm of imperfection and the human species -

We forgive those who sin against us, for they represent the imperfection of being and the nature of darkness in the materialistic realm.

What have you learned about yourself doing this self-directed assignment?
Throughout this course, I got to experience working with a few mediums. I realized how much joy it brought me doing analog, rather than digital. For my 3D, I worked with toothpicks and hot glue and for my reflective I made handcrafted small books. It’s something I haven’t done in other classes and doing so, brought more of my creativity. Hands on experience is definitely more enjoyable and meaningful.
What did you find to be the most difficult aspect of your chosen assignment? Creativity? Research? Connecting design to research? Craft? Organizational skills? Time management? Something else entirely?
One thing I found difficult was time management – procrastination plays a huge part in this. Especially knowing I had the whole semester to complete all assignments, it delayed my thinking time because I am prone to procrastinate the more time I have. I ended up having to cramp things in last minute. However, it did give me enough time to think about what I wanted to do for each project.
What did you enjoy about this opportunity?
I enjoyed the freedom in choosing whatever I wanted to do. It was scary at first because there weren’t any expectations, so I didn’t know what I was supposed to do. But after discussing with my peers and prof, it made the process feel a lot better. It was a good opportunity for me to apply my knowledge of the word with my own perspectives and vision and not something I was told to do. It felt like I was doing something I really enjoyed. I also enjoyed talking with my peers every week. It helped me get a different perspective on my word and helped me improve my work. I also got to give feedback to my peers, and it was a meaningful experience seeing everyone’s work and progression each week. It motivated me to work as well!
How would you rate your performance over the course of the semester?
I’d give myself an 8/10 because there are definitely things I could improve and there is still room for more explorations, but I think I did well overall. I think went out of my way in this course to do each project. My 3D, 4D and the reflective were all so fun to work on and I believe I conveyed the conceptual meaning of my word in all my projects.
Hindsight is 20/20. What would you do differently now that you've had this opportunity to work this way?
If I had to do something differently, I would manage my time more so I could spend more time on each project. For my 2D, I would’ve made more bookmarks, or I was thinking of doing a large collage. I would’ve done something bigger. Same for my 3D, I wanted to make it bigger, and I would’ve added colour to it as well. I would’ve explored more ways to present my work and set goals to complete each one on time. I had trouble with the reflective because it took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do but now that I know, I can complete it in a timely manner. Documentation is another thing, I put it of till the end which piled up to be a lot of work in the end.

What have you learned about yourself doing this self-directed assignment?
I've learned so much from these courses! Going through all the assignments really put me through a rollercoaster of emotions, but it's helped me level up my creativity. I gotta say, I enjoyed documenting my progress on Tumblr - it made the whole process more fun. One thing I learned is how to research my topics better and ask myself the right questions. Like, what's the end goal here, and how do I get there? It's been super helpful in making my work more effective.
What did you find to be the most difficult aspect of your chosen assignment? Creativity? Research? Connecting design to research? Craft? Organizational skills? Time management? Something else entirely?
Out of all the challenges I faced during my assignment, the biggest obstacle was the word itself - farrago. It means a confused mixture, which can be interpreted in so many different ways without any specific rules or guidelines. Personally, I find it difficult to create something without a clear goal or direction. I prefer assignments that involve researching and creating something based on a specific vision. But I suppose that's just part of the learning process, right? Learning to create something out of a seemingly disorganized mess is a valuable skill in and of itself. It just took a bit of extra effort on my part to overcome this particular hurdle.
What did you enjoy about this opportunity?
There were so many aspects of this opportunity that I truly enjoyed. First and foremost, seeing the final outcome of the assignment was incredibly satisfying. It's always a great feeling to see your hard work pay off in such a tangible way. Additionally, I really enjoyed the presentation aspect of the opportunity. Being able to share my ideas and showcase what I had accomplished was a great experience. All in all, I'm extremely happy that I had the chance to be a part of this class. It was an amazing opportunity that I will always cherish.
How would you rate your performance over the course of the semester?
Looking back on my projects, I'm really proud of the work I accomplished. I was able to explore so many different ways of creating confusion through various mediums, including 3D, 2D, and even 4D. It was an incredible learning experience to be able to experiment with so many different techniques and see how they can be used to convey a certain message or feeling. Additionally, I'm very happy with the reflective piece I created. It's always rewarding to see your personal growth and progress reflected in your work.
Overall I would give myself an 18/20 rating.
What would you do differently now that you've had this opportunity to work this way?
I really like the idea of collaborating with AI to work on the reflective piece, but If I had more time, I would like to make a book filled with process work done in such a confusing way.
A word from me
Hi Paul! I just wanted to express my gratitude for the unique and interesting way that you structure your assignments. In the past, I've had professors assign work that didn't really resonate with me or that I didn't find particularly engaging, but your approach was refreshing and inspiring. Additionally, I really appreciated your cool attitude toward each student in the class. It helped to alleviate some of the stress and allowed me to fully enjoy the learning experience.
I always like to reflect on what I've learned and how it has impacted my creative process and designs as a whole. I have to admit that I lost the "have fun" aspect of creating posters or any 3D piece a while ago, but you reignited that passion in me. Your critiques, ideas, and stories were so helpful and inspiring, and I am deeply thankful for your guidance throughout the class. You are definitely going down as one of my favourite professors at OCAD.
I wish you a great summer, and I hope our paths cross again soon!
