Just some shit that gets me... I know it's long... some of my fav quotes... there's so many
"You hurt my brother, I'll kill you, I swear. I will kill you all." -1x15
"You said you're a big brother. You'd take care of your little brother? You'd do anything for him?" "Yeah, I would." -1x18
"That's my boy." -1x11&1x21
"I'm gonna say this one time you make a move on him, you'll be dead before you hit the ground, you understand me?" - 2x09
"Come here. Let me look at you... Hey, look at me, it's not even that bad. All right?... I'm gonna take care of you. I got you. That's my job, right?... Oh god..." -2.21
"I always tried to protect you... keep you safe." -2x22
"Don't get mad at me, don't you do that. I had to. I had to look out for you. That's my job." "You save my life over and over. I mean, you sacrifice everything for me, don't you think I'd do the same for you? You're my big brother. There's nothing I wouldn't do for you." - 2x22
"'Cause I know you... 'cause I've been following you around my entire life. I've been looking up to you since I was 4, Dean. Studying you, trying to be just like my big brother. So yeah, I know you. Better than anyone else in the entire world... I wish you'd drop the show and be my brother again... just cause." -3x07
"Sammy, all I'm saying is that you're my weak spot. You are. And I'm yours." "You don't mean that. We're-We're family." -3x16
"Got your lunch? Books? Butterfly Knife?.. you okay?" -4x13
"You poisoned him." "No, I gave him what he needed, and it wasn't some bitch in a g-string. It was you." -4x14
"I'm sorry." -4x22
"I don't think we can ever be what we were. You know? I just don't think I can trust you." -5x01
"Because whatever we have between us. Love. Family. Whatever it is, they are always going to use it against us. And you know that." -5x03
"I just know we're all we've got. More than that. We keep each other human." "Thank you, really... I won't let you down." -5x03
"In between jobs, Sam and Dean would sometimes get a day – sometimes a week, if they were lucky... Sam used to insist on honest work, but now he hustles pool, like his brother. They could go anywhere and do anything... when it was clear, they'd park her in the middle of nowhere, sit on the hood, and watch the stars for hours without saying a word. It never occurred to them that...maybe they never really had a roof and four walls…but they were never, in fact, homeless." -5x22
"Sam, it's okay. I'm here... I'm not gonna leave you. I'm not gonna leave you." "It's okay, Dean. It's gonna be okay. I've got him." -5x22
"Look at me. Come on. You don’t know what’s real?... Let me see your hand... This is real...I was with you when you cut it, I sewed it up. Hey, I am your flesh-and-blood brother, okay? I’m the only one who can legitimately kick your ass in real-time. You got away. We got you out, Sammy... Believe me, okay? You gotta believe me. You gotta make it stone number one and build on it." -7.02
"You can barely do it with me. I mean, you think I screw up everything I try. You think I need a chaperone, remember?"
"Come on, man. That's not what I meant."
"No, it's exactly what you meant. You want to know what I confessed in there? What my greatest sin was? It was how many times I let you down. I can't do that again. What happens when you've decided I can't be trusted again?...who are you gonna turn to next time instead of me? Another angel? Another vampire? Do you have any idea what it feels like to watch your brother just.."
"Hold on, hold on! You seriously think that? Because none of it -- none of it -- is true. Listen, man, I know we've had our disagreements, okay? Hell, I know I've said some junk that set you back on your heels. But, Sammy…come on. I killed Benny to save you. I'm willing to let this bastard and all the sons of bitches that killed mom walk because of you. Don't you dare think that there is anything, past or present, that I would put in front of you! It has never been like that, ever! I need you to see that. I'm begging you." -8x23

juni's x files liveblog masterpost (s1-s3)
for those who love organization, you are in luck! here is a link to my thoughts on (almost) every single episode of the x files from seasons 1 through 3. i hope this is helpful for those who are new to my blog, want to relive certain moments, are watching along at their own pace, or any other sort of person who is interested. i'll be adding a link to this post to my pinned for convenience.
reminder that my first few thoughts were much shorter than my current ones, and they were posted on my main account. i even skipped note-taking on episode 2! i'll have to go back and rewatch someday. also, if an episode past the first few feels skipped over, it's probably because it featured content i felt uncomfy discussing in detail. you can read the post where i explained that choice here.

Park Jin-Gyeom (Joo Won) is a detective, who doesn't show emotions. While investigating a mysterious case, he realizes the existence of time travelers. The time travelers come to the present day from the future through a space called Alice. Park Jin-Gyeom struggles to prevent negative things happening through Alice. During this time, he meets Yoon Tae-Yi (Kim Hee-Seon) again. A woman who looks erily identical to his deceased mother. Yoon Tae-Yi is a genius physicist and she holds a key to time travel. While they unravel the secret of time travel together, she discovers secrets hidden in her past.
This is a Whump list for Park Jin Gyeom (Played by Joo Won)
I actually had a lot of fun whating this drama, whether it was me laughing at it or with it. The story was all over the place and lacked continuity even if it was a time travel drama, but the characters were great.

Connected by Bomb Threats
As an extra back up, Amanda Waller didn’t just threaten the Yamashiro family, she also implanted the same bombs she uses for the suicide squad in Oliver’s shoulder. A detail that comes to light after Felicity needs reassurance in the aftermath of the Dodger case. (1x15: Dodger)
On AO3.
Ships: none
Warnings: aftermath of traumatic event, threats
~~~
Felicity is shaking. The bomb has been off her neck for a while, but she can’t seem to rid herself of the feeling. The fear. The Dodger is in police custody, yet her mind can’t help but fear that any moment he’ll push that button and her head will be gone.
She’s down in the base, glad to be far away from everyone so that she can freak out in peace. Though, she’s not entirely alone, Diggle and Oliver are both there to witness said freak out.
Diggle has been a steady presence by her side throughout the whole ordeal, while Oliver kept her mind off the bomb around her neck. She is grateful for what they’ve done for her, but she feels pathetic that she’s still shaking now. She doesn’t want to be alone again, but a part of her also wants them to leave.
Instead of leaving, Oliver probably decides that she looks too sad and goes over to her. He looks incredibly unsure and awkward, which would be a nice change of pace from the usual stoic in control shtick, if it weren’t for her circumstances. He perches on her desk and softly asks: “Are you okay?”
The ridiculousness of the question is enough to snap Felicity out of her internal spiral, so she can glare at him. “I just had a bomb around my neck. What do you think?”
“That you’re not okay?” Oliver suggests, grimacing at his own indelicacy.
“Of course I’m not okay,” Felicity yells, the outburst a long time coming, but finally finding an outlet now that she has a target. “I had a bomb around my neck! I- I nearly- I could’ve- He could’ve killed me! … He could’ve killed me.”
Oliver lets her yell at him and waits patiently as she peters off, the realization of what nearly happened to her tonight sinking in all over again. Once she is silent, he puts one of his big warm hands on her shoulder and looks at her intently: “It is really scary to have that hang over you. You were really brave and you kept your head a lot cooler than I did in that situation. You did well and it’s over now. You’re safe.”
“I’m safe,” she repeats, looking at him, still feeling jittery, but trying to put enough force into the words so that she’ll believe them.
“That’s right,” Oliver nods, treating her with one of his rare smiles. “Do you want me or Dig to stay with you tonight?”
It’s moments like these that made her come back, despite her earlier moral dilemmas. Oliver cares so deeply, but he does it in his own way with only tiny tendrils of that care poking through his exterior. Those glimpses are what made her trust him. And what now make her stick by his side, regardless of the dangers.
“I’ll be okay by myself,” she promises.
“I’ll drive you home,” Diggle offers. She is about to protest, so he adds: “For my own peace of mind, Felicity. I just want to make sure you get home safe.”
Felicity is quiet for a beat, then give a small smile. “Thank you.”
She feels more grounded and settled now, which means the exhaustion of the night catches up with her. The thought of going home and getting out of that dress and into comfy clothes sounds very appealing. So, she takes Diggle up on the offer to get going now, saying goodbye to Oliver, before leaving the basement behind her.
The care drive back is quiet, something Felicity appreciates, despite her usual chattiness. There is a lot going on in her mind.
Diggle drops her off, says his goodbye and waits in the car until she’s in the building. She makes sure to thank him and wave, before disappearing up the stairs.
It’s once she is alone in her apartment again that the events of tonight come crashing down on her once more. She could’ve died tonight. If Oliver hadn’t caught the Dodger, if he’d pressed that button before Oliver could get there, she wouldn’t be here anymore.
The thought makes her fingers numb and she wrestles with the zipper of her dress, before stepping out of it and getting behind her desk in just her underwear. She hacks into the jail camera feed, able to breathe when she sees the Dodger there behind bars.
She keeps the feed playing all throughout her nightly routine, then sets it up near her bed, so she can check on it whenever she startles awake.
The next day, she forgoes a necklace as well as a higher neckline. The feeling of either reminds her too much of the bomb and she wonders if she’s ever going to feel normal again. She looks in the mirror, bags under her eyes and shoulder slumped. Angrily, she straightens up, not wanting that man to get her down and she repeats out loud: “You’re safe.”
Oliver sounded so sure when he said that. He told her she did well and it was over now. He said that she was safe and she believed him.
For Felicity that’s enough to get her out of her house and to work. She feels off the throughout whole day however, startling at every noise or movement. Oliver said that she was really brave and kept her head cool, but she doesn’t think she did. She definitely isn’t now.
Thinking back, her brain suddenly gets stuck on his phrasing. He said that she kept her head a lot cooler than he did in that situation, which doesn’t make sense at all. She was freaking out, he calmed her down and got her to concentrate on tracking the Dodger. If that was his freaked out, she wonders what his zen looks like.
It’s not much of a mystery, but it is a little bit of one and it’s enough for her brain to latch onto so she can forget the residual fear.
By the end of the day, she has three hypotheses.
One, he said it to cheer her up and didn’t mean it. A valid explanation, but Oliver doesn’t seem like the naturally good at cheering people up type, nor lying to make you feel better type. Plus, he sounded super convincing about everything and he’s a horrible liar, so he must have believed it on some level.
Two, Oliver has an incredibly good poker face and he was, in fact, freaking out the whole time. She knows that he does have a great poker face, so it could very well be. However, Felicity has a hard time believing it. He gets shot at regularly and jumps off rooftops, this probably barely ranks among that.
Which leaves, three, Oliver has had something similar to him happen to him before and he handled it worse than she did. This is actually semi-plausible, even if she can’t imagine badass Oliver handling a situation like this worse than her. She hasn’t worked with him long, but he’s covered in scars and has dropped some wild facts about his time away on her when he explained his crusade more. But she doesn’t know how explosives being strapped to you would happen exactly in the middle of nowhere.
Weighing each option and making a case for and against all of them keeps her mind too busy to spiral, while allowing her to think of what happened with the Dodger and process it all.
By the time she gets to their base to get ready for their night job, she has been able to put it out of her mind a bit. It still lingers in the background of her mind, but she now has something else to focus on; solving the Oliver’s comment mystery.
She doesn’t focus at all when Oliver tells them who they’re going after tonight, instead studying him closely. Does he look liar-y? Or more frazzled? Or more like someone who has seen something that happened to him happen to someone else?
“Felicity!” Oliver snaps.
“What?” she jumps at her name being said so forcefully. Looking at Oliver’s expression, it’s clear he tried to get her attention for a while already. “Sorry,” she grimaces.
“Are you having another crisis of conscious? I thought we talked about that, but you’ve been distracted all-”
“What did you mean when you said I kept my head cooler than you?” Felicity interrupts him. It’s been eating at her and she know she won’t be able to concentrate until she knows. A part of her hopes it will give her answers on how to deal with the fear once she’s alone in her apartment again tonight. She can’t watch jail footage forever.
Oliver looks confused at her question. “What?”
“Yesterday when you were comforting me, you said that I kept my head a lot cooler than you did in that situation, which is a weird way of phrasing it, because usually you’d put a would in there, like I just did,” she rushes out. “Not that it wasn’t sweet that you tried to comfort me, it really helped actually. Not to imply you can’t be sweet, you’re just usually grrr, you know. So, I started thinking about it.”
“You put thought into that?” Diggle repeats, sounding amused.
But it’s absolutely not a laughing matter for Felicity, so she nods very seriously. “Yes. And either you were lying to cheer me up, which is kind of rude but understandable, or you were secretly freaking out, in which case you have a great poker face, or something like this did happen to you, so no would necessary.”
Now Diggle isn’t amused anymore, looking curiously at Oliver. Felicity guesses he must have had more random wild stuff dropped on him by Oliver. Enough to make that last option plausible to him and curious about the possible answer.
Oliver is looking a little like a deer in headlights, but quickly shutters his eyes until his expression becomes blank. Again great poker face, but poker face means that there is something to hide.
“Something like this happened to you,” Felicity exclaims, both happy to have solved the mystery and to have someone to share the experience with. Someone, who might be able to give her advice.
In reply, Oliver remains silent. He shakes his head at them, then turns to his arrows, pretending to be busy so he can ignore them.
Diggle sighs and rolls his eyes, the message of ‘typical’ clear on his face, before going back to checking his own gear. But Felicity isn’t going to be dismissed that easily. She has actual stakes in this.
So, she gets up from her chair and grabs his arm, trying to ignore the hard muscles under her fingers, as she says: “Hey, don’t ignore me like that.”
“I can’t help you with anything here, it was a long time ago,” Oliver tells her, not unkindly, just with his usual stoicism.
“Please, at least tell me how to do deal with the aftermath. How do you move on after that?” Felicity pleads. She just wants peace of mind.
Oliver looks like he was afraid she’d say that. He now turns fully towards her, removing her hand from his arm, before carefully choosing his words. “I want to, promise I do. But that is the one thing I can’t tell you.”
“Because everyone deals with things differently,” Felicity fills in, “I know that, Oliver. Just tell me what you did, so I can at least try. It’s not like there’s an online forum for this.”
“No,” he shakes his head. “Because I haven’t had an after.”
The words register, but don’t process. She just stares at him uncomprehendingly while he looks back without any apparent emotion on his face. In the end, it is Diggle, who sounds like he thinks he must have misunderstood as he asks: “You still have a bomb on your person?”
“Yeah,” Oliver shrugs as if that is a completely normal thing to be cool about.
Felicity’s eyes rove over him, trying to find it. She has seen most of him, except his thighs – well, she has, they’re very muscular, but it was only a flash when he changed – and she feels like she would have seen a bomb, but she doesn’t see anything.
Diggle must be doing the same, because after a beat, he asks: “Where? You’ve flown. They should’ve seen something like that.”
“It’s small, implanted in my shoulder,” Oliver explains.
“It was implanted in you,” Felicity shrieks.
“Uh-huh,” Oliver hums as he nods. He turns and peals his shirt off, showing them a small scar on his shoulder blade that’s between all the other bigger ones. “Tried to pry it out, but couldn’t reach it properly. Like I said, you kept your head cooler than I did.”
“Not in the long run,” Felicity says. “How the hell are you so chill? You have a bomb inside of you.” The words don’t feel real, even as she says them.
“And it’s been there for years now,” Oliver tells them in a way too blasé manner. “I forget about it most of the time.”
“Why do you even have a bomb in you, man? Who did that?” Diggle asks. It’s such a sensible question that Felicity wonders why she didn’t ask it herself, but she cuts herself some slack, seeing that she just learned Oliver has had a bomb in his back for literal years now.
“I kept trying to escape,” Oliver answers. “This was a precaution of a precaution. I was placed with a family and told that if I ran they’d be killed and I’d make the news as a suicide bomber. She said that she might even allow me to be identified, so my family would forever wonder what I was doing there.”
That is absolutely horrifying. Felicity can’t conceptualize what it must have been like to be a captive somewhere and having a family threatened in your name and have a bomb implanted, while being told that.
“How are you being so casual about this?” she asks, sounding as horrified as she feels.
“Like I said, I forget about it most of the time,” Oliver replies. “I’m on okay terms with the person that put it there too. She just never had it removed. I think she likes the extra assurance after letting me go. I know a lot.”
“I notice you haven’t told us who this mystery woman is,” Diggle points out.
“You don’t know her. Her identity is pretty classified.”
“You can enlighten us,” Diggle points.
“Or I can figure out it out,” Felicity adds, wiggling her fingers to mimic typing, wanting to crawl into a hole of embarrassment seconds after doing it, but familiar enough with the mortification to let it pass her by. “Can’t have too many people going around implanting bombs in people.”
Oliver looks a little amused by them as he weighs his options, then says: “If both of you promise not to look into her. Ever. I’ll tell you a name. Just a name.”
“Why not?” Felicity asks. She hates mysteries and she is basically being asked to let something be a mystery.
“Because she has a habit of disappearing people who poke in the wrong places,” Oliver answers deadly serious, making her gulp.
Diggle is a lot more confident than her. “I think we can handle it.”
“You say that now,” Oliver says. “Just promise me.”
“Sure, if it’ll make you feel better, I won’t go looking,” Diggle promises.
Now they both look expectantly at Felicity. Felicity is not going to let this be a mystery for her and decides it’s not poking in the wrong places if no one knows she’s been there, so she won’t technically be lying. Besides with what she knows, she might actually be smart for once and not look. She already knows she doesn’t do well with a bomb near her neck. “Promise.”
Oliver narrows his eyes at her, but she puts on her best innocent face, which luckily he reluctantly believes. “Alright. Her name’s Amanda Waller.”
The name means absolutely nothing to Felicity, but Diggle sucks in a sharp breath, asking: “The Director of A.R.G.U.S.?”
“You know her?” Oliver asks, surprised.
“Yeah, my ex-wife, Lyla, she works for her, did so before the divorce,” Diggle says. “She is one messed up lady. How did you end up in her cross hairs?”
“She fished me out of the sea after the boat I wanted to escape Lian Yu on went down,” Oliver answers, surprisingly honest. “She thought I was useful.”
His tone at the end is bitter and Diggle pulls a sympathetic face. Felicity gathers being useful to this Amanda Waller isn’t a good thing. She also tries to remember what she knows of A.R.G.U.S., it’s a name that sounds vaguely familiar from her time as a hacktivist. If she remembers right it’s a shady agency of the government. Not a great place to be held captive, which is another thing. Like why is their government holding its own citizen and implanting bombs in them?
However, what comes out is focused on the last thing he said and completely inappropriate: “You have bad luck with boats, don’t you?”
“You don’t even know the half of it,” Oliver surprises her with his amusement at the comment.
“I am so sorry,” she gasps, despite his – for him – jovial reaction. “I mean, that was not at all what I wanted to say and kind of mean. You were really nice about me going through something and I’m just being insensitive and-”
“It’s okay, Felicity, breathe,” he cuts her off, before she can properly spiral.
She takes a deep breath.
“Good,” Oliver smiles, actually smiles. “It’s okay. I don’t mind. I don’t like talking about those years, but I’ve always appreciated how blunt you are about them. It gets tiring after a while when everyone walks on eggshells around you and pretends that five years of your life didn’t exists.”
Felicity remembers how she told him his father was dead the first time they met and blushes, though she can’t help but be relieved that he isn’t mad at her about it. That he appreciated it, despite how out of pocket it was.
Diggle gets their attention again, clearing his throat. “We’ve gotten a bit off topic,” he reminds them.
Oliver glares at him because of that. It was probably the point to get off topic for him. However, it wasn’t for Felicity, so she nods: “Oh yeah, thanks, Dig. You, sir, have a bomb in your shoulder. And you’re being wayyy too normal about it. How are you so normal about it?”
If it weren’t Oliver, she’d say he pouts as he crosses his arms. Then he says: “It is normal for me. Between everything else, it barely registers. It’s just there, not much I can do about it, so no use in worrying about it. It’s not like it’s in the way.”
His answer breaks Felicity’s heart. What must have happened to him that a bomb implanted in his body doesn’t register? That it’s a casual thing he can ignore, because it’s not that much of a threat anyway? With all those secrets he’s hiding, how many are tragedies?
He sighs at their faces and says: “See, this is why I didn’t want to talk about it. I don’t need the pity, I’m fine. There is no use in worrying about things we can’t change or being upset about things I don’t even care about. So let’s focus on the next name on the list.”
It’s as honest as he’s ever been about his past and feelings, so Diggle and Felicity both grant him the courtesy of shutting the fuck up about the topic and dropping it.
However, Felicity can’t fully let it go, no matter what Oliver requests. She knows the fear first hand and she can’t imagine that Oliver is truly so cool about, even if a lot of time has passed. He tried to dig it out of his shoulder with enough dedication to leave a scar and actually told her he didn’t keep his cool about it. Being used to it is something different from being comfortable with it.
So, she digs around a little in the A.R.G.U.S. servers. It’s not breaking her promise, because she only promised not to poke around Amanda Waller’s identity and said nothing about her organization, so she is technically in the clear.
In doing so, she finds that the bomb implanted into Oliver is a prototype that has now been finalized and used for a thing called Task Force X.
Task Force X is horrific and Felicity feels nauseated at the idea that they’re doing this to people, no matter how bad their crimes. However, she has poked around enough A.R.G.U.S. files in search for the blueprints of the bomb that she feels better about not being known by this organization in any way shape or form. So, she leaves it for now. Maybe if she finds some leverage to buy herself some safety will she be able to do something about it.
Instead, she focuses on the positive: Oliver’s bomb was an early version prototype.
While this means that it was untested before they injected it into Oliver and thus could’ve had all sort of side effects or could’ve exploded randomly, Felicity decides to focus on the fact that it has bugs that hadn’t been fixed yet. Those bugs can be exploited.
Working on the program to disarm Oliver’s bomb is also really therapeutic. It makes her feel in control, like she’ll be better prepared if the situation ever comes up again (something she hopes will never happen).
A few weeks later she’s done.
They’re in the research phase of a case, which means Felicity has been researching while Oliver has been working out distractingly and Diggle has been working out in a reasonable way, which includes a shirt.
She’s waiting for a search program to finish running, so she has time to finish up the last details for her disarming program. The problem now is bringing it up to Oliver without him getting all growly because she ignored her promise to him on a technicality, not to mention his wishes for her to drop it.
“Oliver?” she asks tentatively to get his attention.
“Did you find something?” he replies, dropping down from his weirdly attractive upside down bat-style ceiling sit ups.
“No,” she says, seeing him frown, so she quickly adds: “Well, I have – more like made something – but not related to this case and I need you to not be mad about.”
“Why would I be mad, Felicity? What did you do?” Oliver asks, a warning tone in his voice. He does not like this, that much is clear.
“I made a program to disarm the bomb in your back,” Felicity rushes out quickly, just ripping the band aid off.
“What?” Oliver says sharply.
“Before you get all mad, please hear me out. I know you said not to go poking around Amanda Waller and I haven’t, I just looked around on the A.R.G.U.S. servers, but I promise, like pinky promise-promise that they don’t know. And I also know that you don’t want to talk about it, but it wasn’t meant as an ‘I’m not listening to you’-thing, but as a thank you. Because you were there when I went through that and I wanted to do something for you and you’re kind of a hard guy to buy a thank you gift for, because you’re a billionaire and like sad- not sad as in like sad-sad, which makes no sense at all, but I mean, you live like, well… like this.” She gestures around. “All barren. Not maximalist, is what I mean. Which is fine. Anyways, the point is: it was meant to be nice, so please don’t be mad and let me do this for you. As a thank you.”
She holds her breath as she looks at Oliver awaiting his response.
Oliver blinks a few times, working through her word vomit. He’s not used to it yet and she makes a mental note to use it sparingly, so it’ll keep its effect. Though, she’s not really in control of how much she says, so that’s kind of impossible.
When he finally speaks, she’s taken aback by how small and vulnerable his voice is. It’s unlike anything she’s heard from him before. Softly he checks: “You- You can really disarm it?”
“Yes, I can,” she smiles gently, wanting to be careful with this fragile side of him that he’s showing. She guesses she was right in her assessment that the bomb bothered him more than he let on.
Cautiously he walks over to her, leaning against her chair as he looks at her screens. “How will it work?”
“Well, if it has a detonator, so something can make contact with the bomb. I can use that to make contact with it. So, I’ll make contact with the bomb, then upload my program, and that will render it useless,” Felicity says.
“And that can be remote? Because it’s near my spine, so we risk permanently injuring my spinal cord if you need manual access and I’d rather keep the bomb then.”
Felicity is kind of disgusted at thought of digging into Oliver’s flesh to get access to the bomb and she already thought about just removing it, before reading where it was implanted. However, she decides not to mention that, instead saying: “I can connect remotely, you just need to sit here for a moment, while I press against your back.”
She hears how that sounds and cringes. “I mean, not me, but this scanner. And I don’t have to, not that I’m doing it so that I can touch your muscular back – though it is a great back – it’ll just be easier than trying to hack into it, you know. Because we’re trying not to make A.R.G.U.S. go all beeping noises and red alarms.”
“I can sit for you for a bit,” Oliver says, amused at her expense and playing into her unfortunate ways of phrasing things.
“That is good, grab a chair,” she replies, blush on her cheeks.
He goes to do so, while she gets everything on her end ready, shaking off her embarrassment. It is a good thing that she’s used to putting her foot in her mouth or that would’ve been worse.
In the end, the actual disarming of the bomb was kind of underwhelming. There was no beeping, no timer, no pressure. Just Felicity scanning the scar on Oliver’s back until her programs pick up the frequency, before pressing a few buttons to upload her code.
They watch the bar together until it beeps with: Transmission Complete. Then Oliver asks: “Was that it? Is it done?”
“Jup, that was it,” Felicity says.
“I somehow expected more,” Diggle says, making both of them jump. Neither of them had noticed the man watching the whole ordeal is silence, knowing better than to get between them in these moments.
Felicity shrugs: “I guess it is a little sad after the whole Dodger ordeal. Way more stressful, no offense to your bomb on your person threatening you experience.”
“You can have the spot for most stressful disarming,” Oliver tells her graciously, a bit of a mischievous grin on his face. It’s nothing she has seen on him before, but it suits him. Makes him actually look his age.
She smiles back: “And you’ll get first place for most cool headed during disarming.”
“I’ll take it,” he says, getting up and rolling his shoulder, almost as if to check if it’ll feel different. She’s pretty sure it doesn’t, but when he goes back to his work out – this time hitting a dummy until Dig volunteers to take the dummy’s place – his shoulders look more relaxed.
Oliver is still tense, and Felicity doesn’t think that will ever leave, however, a little bit of his load seems to have been lightened. She is glad she got to take something of his plate, even if it was just a small niggling worry in the back of his mind.
No one should walk around with a bomb threatening to blow your head off, she should know. With a self-satisfied smirk she turns back to her work, this time her hands are completely steady.
~~
A/N:
I know nothing of hacking, coding, or bombs, so do not take anything as anything close to accurate, we’re here for the vibes only :D
Also, I need y’all to know that the alternate title for this fic was: ‘Bomb Threats Besties <3’
Btw, the Amanda implanting a bomb trope is something that is rotting my brain, so expect more fics in this genre in the future (probably)
Note
❛ i don’t want to understand, i want you to stay. ❜ or ❛ don’t act like you know me. ❜ for Morgan or Thallen or Hartley if you like <3333
Two Thallen prompts for the price of one! Both are under the cut for length:
To set the scene for the first one: Iris and Eddie didn’t date, or if they did, it was short-lived (broke up during or before 1x15). Also, no Westallen waterfront kiss. This takes place during the s1 finale!
The fight seemed to go on forever.
Thawne was stronger than him, faster—Barry could feel his energy draining with every hit, and he knew it was only a matter of time before Thawne got the upper hand on him.
Thawne even said as much, sneering, “Won’t be long now, Barry. But don’t worry. I’ll be sure to leave enough time for your sweetheart to say goodb—”
Barry snarled, punching Thawne hard in the jaw, relishing in the genuine pain on his enemy’s face. “You leave him out of—!”
“Eddie!”
Iris’s scream alerted him, and he turned sharply, dropping Thawne as he raced to Eddie’s side.
“What did you do?” He demanded. “Eddie! What did you—?!”
“Had to…save you…” Eddie smiled blearily at him. “The hero’s hero.”
“I don’t need a hero, I need you! I—”
But Eddie…his face was peaceful, moreso than it had been in a while. “Guess that makes him…wrong, huh? I’m a…hero after all.”
“You are,” Barry choked, “You are, Eddie, you’re my hero, but please…please, you can’t…”
“I have to.” Eddie smiled sadly. “It’s a hero’s…fate, right? To die for…for the people we love?”
Barry’s eyes widened at the confession. For some reason, he hadn’t thought… “You…Eddie—”
“Now you understand, right? I—”
“I don’t want to understand! I want you to stay!”
“I’m sorry,” Eddie whispered. “But I…I can’t let you die, Barr. Flash. The city…this city needs you. Iris, Joe…your Team Flash friends…they need you.”
“Eddie,” Barry begged. I need you too, please…
“I love y—”
“Eddie? Eddie, wake up! Eddie!”
And here’s the second, set during 2x13 (the E2 intro episode). Could in theory be a follow-up to the prompt fill above, or canon-nudged-to-the-left, up to interpretation:
“Eddie!” Barry ran to to the blonde detective, a wide smile splitting across his face—he very determinedly ignored his heart somersaulting in his chest. “Thank God, I—”
“Don’t act like you know me,” Eddie snapped. “Or do, if you want, CSI Allen, but don’t act like we’re friends. We’re not.”
Barry winced. Ouch. Guess we don’t know each other well here. “Right. Um, Detective Thawne, I—”
“And now you’re mocking me.”
“I…what?”
Eddie scoffed. “You already got the girl, Allen. You don’t have to be smug about it too.”
“I…Eddie—”
Eddie stormed past him, shoving him none too gently as he passed.
What in the world happened to Eddie on this Earth?
Jess Watches // Wed 11 Oct Synopses & Favourite Scenes
I'm a Virgo 1x06 It Requires Trust on My Part
The Hero faces a mysterious assassin, runs Cannon Comics, busts his rich parents and visits a death penalty execution; Cootie implores his friends and neighbors to help in his plan to steal power from the power company.
Walton Goggins singing and dancing in his undies only to be ambushed by an assassin who he himself hired to try kill him so he can keep his skills sharp. Also, there was multiple, very serious, games of Hand Slap. What more of a recommendation can I give.
The Resident (with mum) 2x11 Operator Error
A medical device fails on Bradley, causing his death, and making QuoVadis blame AJ for a medical error; Devon helps a woman with mysterious stomach pain; Nic's bond with Alec grows stronger, as does Conrad's with the Barnett family.
I was going to write about the unfairness of how AJ and Devon's patient were treated. But then got distracted when the episode ended with FOUR adults ordering ONE Hawaiian pizza to share. Maybe it's because, like me, they don't like pineapple. But then why not order more food you actually do like?! (Taking a mid-season break to recover from the distress this caused me.)
Derry Girls (with mum) 1x02
Everyone is really excited when Sister Michael announces the school trip to Paris; Back at the Quinn house, Uncle Colm is visiting and the whole family are losing the will to live.
Sláinte, motherfuckers! Don't clean your windows with mayonnaise. And never under any circumstances ever ask Uncle Colm follow-up questions about his stories.
Ragnarok (with friend) 3x02 Till Death Do Us Part
The Jutuls opted to play along with Magne's antics to make him more open to Saxa's plan. Laurits felt rejected by everyone so he finds support in Jens.
Magne & Saxa being late to the wedding and strutting in like they were on a catwalk looking very much the power couple.
Supernatural Academy (with friend) 1x15 Fateful Part A
The East-West Twins try to capture Mischa and Jessa to fulfill the prophecy once and for all; after Mischa's plan backfires, the pack sets out to save her; a new threat takes form in Stratford.
The big plan should be to separate the girls again, right? It's become a self-fulfilling prophecy that they refuse to let the others do the fighting for them. My sweet but dumb dragon-marked children.
Our Flag Means Death 2x02 Red Flags
Aboard Zheng's ship, Stede, Olu and Black Pete have surprising revelations while Blackbeard's crew plots their revenge.
I would definitely want to be part of Zheng's crew given the choice (and chance). Homemade broths to eat (and taste) as well as Tai-chi to keep me mindful (and limber). Also, devastating that Izzy used the gun on himself, but relieved that it failed.
Scary Sherry
franks, kulchak, roday rodriguez, hill
"The best show creator in the world" "As long as he keeps signing our cheques"
Landis spare me
There was a version of this script where scary sherry turns out to HAVE really jumped, & KK was the one to say she shouldn't die, more interesting
instead of her being impaled on a unicorn.
The door falling on her was NOT planned & she just went under it
The original script was 79 pages!! It should be 50
JRr: I got you saying "damn girl" KK: We were wondering who was going t oplay Gus this week bc he's so much hipper than before (Ig jrr's scripts are different that just SF')
GOOCH!!!
Jamba juice
They used the same actress from the first episode, the sexy girl
Network to JRr: Take out the liquid kitty scene, I don't think that's possible JRr: It did. To me, actually.
DH has been asked irl if he's budd from cosby
The entire episode is bubilt on this bit right here
Her bedroom with stffed animals & chad michael murray
Gooch!!! I love her I wish we got more of her
JRr: That is my mother's maiden name
Mel Damski
Make DH say things that long & multisyllabic He had his lines on his computer screen
John Landis WHIPPING the keys at him
DH's nepheew pla.yed young gus somewhere... & then got cut
IN THE ORIGINAL SCRIPT BIANCA WAS BEHEADED JRr: the axe of a suit of shining armour fell on her & the head actually bounced down the stairs.
That toaster cooming down the wall XD KK I love her
Reallly good crying & JRr is barely holding on XD
"the legendarytar ppits of santa barbara" Tar pit It's a very small tar... right off the road, right off of state street
First dream sequence! Young shawn & gus got out of the car & say the whole thing & gus was still dressed as lando
SF: There's the sample case that doesn't get enough play DH: Oh no it gets enough play trust me. That's a heavy case!
My black ass
Never want a shawnvision on another shoe again
Green day shawn vision changed a million times & just went back to the initial one
Poor stunt actor, bleeding all over the place
JRr: Now there was also in the original draft, there was a little more to alice & doreen's relationship than what meets the eye. KK: Oh that's right JRr: They were actually a little bit closer than just best buddies. KK: Are you saying they were lovers? JRr: They were actually lovers. We took it all the way. Especially with beheadings. SF: The tone of the episode changed ever so slightly KK: But I like how you're making your connection here that this relationship is close to yours & gus's relationship JRr: Right. Super tight. I can see why they didn't have them be gay lovers comparing to gus & shawn.
It IS nice to have lassiter on the other side
Like a little baby orphan
Supposed to have a cooking montage :(
XD fih screensaver
it's hard to play drunk DH: When I play drunk I like to actually get drunk KK: Do you really? DH: I'm joking
Gus with Henry & Shawn I love brought flan XD Flan & flan, then flahn & flaan, & together it's flaan.
virile virile man.
cleaning up both the flan
CB improvised this? JRr responded: That was creepy John Lanis, offscreen: YES IT WAS *quiet*
Magic Head
Never see the dog
I love how the writers are just cracking up girls have friendship rings, "friendship" rings
She could walk upright in the gutter
SF: I should know, I used to work at the haunted mansion
Juliet's car XD
Oh yeah the score is always good, horror stuff is great
Oh yeah, rent the sme stairs & just redress it
Lanis fighting he really wanted the dolls
I like the headset
Triped & fell into the alice in wonderland bit
The colours
the hands, all them laughing in there
"I put my foot through this paper, how will I get it out"
lassiter before you
they're just laughing at the belt
cuts his finger XD
Why woul you make the deleted scene SHORTER
Network didn't want shawn leaving gus in the building
trying not to swear XD
gus tossing them a fortune cookie
Ooh the bloggers caught him say dulé (unless it is dule or d'andre)
American duos!
