What affordable dream car(s) do you see yourself owning in a decade? Furthermore how is your affordable dream cars' list looks like? via /r/cars
What affordable dream car(s) do you see yourself owning in a decade? Furthermore how is your affordable dream cars' list looks like?
Personally, I'm working on and hoping to see myself in a left hand drive 4th generation Toyota Supra and a Toyota Celica GT4 ST205.
My affordable and affordable in the future list looks like this:
Toyota Celica GT4 ST205
Toyota Supra A80 (mk4)
Lexus LS 400 - main reason is the 1UZ-FE
Lexus IS 200 (mk1)
Toyobaru GT86/BRZ
Subaru Impreza WRX (blobeye or hawkeye)
Abarth 124 Spider
Audi RS3 Sportback - but this is so expensive it shouldn't be on my list, either way in my opinion this is expensive but can be affordable.

Doubling the power in my car, I need advice. via /r/cars
Doubling the power in my car, I need advice.
Hi, everyone! I am currently resto-modding my 1976 Toyota Celica GT2000 Liftback, and I have been doing as much of the work myself as I can myself. Now to where I am stuck: I have seriously considering putting a 2JZ-GTE or a 1UZ-FE into it, and I want to understand what this is going to do to the rest of the car? What am I going to need to do to the car to get it to handle the extra power without twisting the frame or something like that?
Thank you in advance!

Which 1UZ-FE to get? 1st gen 2nd or 3rd? via /r/cars
Which 1UZ-FE to get? 1st gen 2nd or 3rd?
Hey guys, I just bought Toyota Celica from 1977, it is a Japanese mustand Fastback 1967-68 look alike. And I really dig it. Sadly it comes with 4cyl. So I decided to swap it to 1UZ-FE (It has been done before) Now I cant decide which to go with first gen is 256hp/260 lb·ft obd1, second is 261hp/269 some obd1 some obd2 lb·ft and the 3rd gen the VVTi is 300 HP/310 lb·ft obd2. Now here is the thing, the rods on 2nd and 3rd model are lighter and thinner in my mind I dont think it would hold up to good hp tune. But the first model that has 256hp has very heavy and thick rods giving me oportunity to install supercharger without worying about internals. Here is the picture of the rods. http://ift.tt/2oyah8H Things to note. I dont know alot about engines but I am very educated and experienced with bodywork small electronics. If someone could help it will be appriciated. And sorry for bad English.
