do you think lucius only realize he don't want to be a death eater after voldemort was defeated in the 1st war or even during it?
speaking of what are your thoughts/hc on why narcissa didn't take the dark mark despite her sister and her husband doing it? tbh i always wondered how she could've avoided it? i mean she was part of it right, she was in the meetings too
I always thought it made sense that Draco was a difficult pregnancy.
I say that because Lucius and Narcissa seem like the sort of couple who would have loved more children. Narcissa was close with her sisters before things fell apart, and Lucius was an only child... but he's so social I think that must have been lonely for him. I think he would have loved it if Draco had a younger brother or sister. And the only barrier they'd be dealing with there would be a medical one, so.
(also, I love whenever the the Malfoys and the Weasleys are foils, and the idea of Draco and Ron being born at pretty much the same time - but Ron is one of many, a little neglected, mom is a little disappointed he's not a girl etc. while DRACO is so wanted and so special. That's good stuff.)
I also think that if the Malfoys were dealing with fertility issues, Narcissa suffering, maybe even having a miscarriage - that would have made early-twenties Lucius grow up REAL fast. Because yeah, I do think that when Draco was born - about a year before Voldemort's downfall - Lucius' priorities shifted completely, and he started looking for a way out.
And I say that because Lucius rode the wave of the first war really well, coming out with his money and prestige so intact, which would have taken some planning. Lucius is also one of very few Death Eaters who actually got off using the 'imperius curse' defense. (I think the only other one is Avery.) I like the idea that he did actually plan that. Like - okay. You could have someone you trust (Narcissa, maybe Severus) put the imperius curse on you for a couple months, and that way when you're asked "Were you directed to follow Voldemort's orders under the imperius curse," you can say yes, even if you're under Veritaserum.
Nott senior also seems to have also come out of the first war basically unscathed, but he also seems much more cautious than Lucius. I'll bet he was very good at making sure that there was never much actual evidence against him. Crabbe and Goyle senior also seem to be doing fine, and I tend to think it's because Lucius got them out (possibly because their wives were close with Narcissa? All three women would have been pregnant at the same time.) Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle are *quite* committed to keeping Draco Malfoy in one piece. I love Draco, but he does spend several books being a little shit with no ability to defend himself, so they do have their work cut out for them.
I also think a Narcissa who spent the first Voldemort war dealing with pregnancy-related health issues could explain why she doesn't have a Dark Mark, when honestly she really should. Her husband, sister, brother-in-law, underage cousin... they're all getting them. So why was Narcissa skipped (but still allowed to remain in good standing?) I think she she stayed out of the spotlight, using her delicate health as an excuse. And then the second war comes around and she... fades to the background again, makes herself useful, and hopes that the issue never comes up. I don't think she'd say no to a confundus, or even a memory charm if she were really put on the spot.
(but the real, Doylist reason Narcissa doesn't have a Dark Mark is because JKR has a very strong aversion to writing villainous mothers. See: the very odd framing of Merope Gaunt.)

Welcome to the HOT AND VINTAGE MOVIE STARS bracket! we are currently voting on the HOTTEST and VINTAGEST male movie stars from 1910-1970. (we will do the ladies next.) Submissions for hot vintage men are now closed, but we are accepting propaganda for those already in the bracket.
Round 4 of the Hot & Vintage Men Tournament will be posted Thursday, February 1st, and last a week. All the round 4 polls can be found and voted on under the tag #round 4. All polls—including previous rounds, the various shadow brackets and fun mini polls—can be found in the #hotvintagepoll tag. Every poll in the Hot & Vintage Men Tournament is tagged with the hot man in it if you need to search for a hot man in particular.
FAQs:
“Where is [my favorite hot man]?” It depends. Have you checked all the polls in the tag? Have you done a tag search for him? If you still haven’t found him, either nobody submitted him or he did not fit the criteria of being a movie man from 1910-1970.
“Can I still submit hot men?” No, the submission window has closed. Please do not send in men you wish had made it into the bracket. I can’t do anything with those asks and they just make me sad.
“I have hot women to submit!” Amazing! I’ve posted the submission form for that bracket here. Asks submitting ladies don’t count—you need to put it in the submission form. DO NOT tag me in hot lady propaganda yet! Do not send any to my asks!
"Can you post a list of the hot women already submitted?" No, because there are already 1300+ submissions and anything I post will be out of date immediately. The form takes two minutes or less to fill out—just submit instead of asking me if you should.
“I have additional propaganda for the hot men!” Great! Send me an ask, or reblog the poll and add your propaganda to it. I don’t boost all the propaganda I see or receive, but I try to boost the best of the best.
If you’re submitting propaganda for your hot man, I don’t accept propaganda that’s from beyond the end of this tournament’s era (ie don’t send me pics of them in the 70s onwards). I also don’t accept them acting in TV shows unless it’s clearly a cameo where they’re playing themselves.
I don’t post or boost negative propaganda about any hot man or woman. If you really hate that a certain hot man is winning, send me positive propaganda for their hot opponent. If you think a hot man or woman shouldn’t even be included in the tournaments because of scummy things they did in their lifetime, please read my take on it here.
If I see repetitive, trolling, and/or bigoted remarks in the comments, I may block you from this bracket. If you want to point out a hot man’s flaws or misdemeanors, that’s fine, but if I see consistent bad-faith trolling, you will be blocked.
On that note—don't be a dick! I try to keep this a happy bracket, but I have my limits. If you have an issue with the tournament, shoot me an ask or offer an alternate idea. (this especially applies to poll photos—I only change them if there are complaints and if the person complaining can supply a better one.)
“WHERE ARE THE HOT MEN. I want to see all the hot men competing in one place!!” You can find all the round 1 matchups here (thank you @markwatnae!), and everyone who made it to round 4 below the cut.
“My FAQ isn’t on here :(” send me an ask! I love hearing from you guys—just please check these basics first.
Thank you for being here! Enjoy the tournament.
Round 4 Hot & Vintage Men matchups:
Jeremy Brett vs Gene Kelly
Sidney Poitier vs Sessue Hayakawa
Cary Grant vs Vincent Price
James Stewart vs Toshiro Mifune
James Dean vs James Shigeta
Harry Belafonte vs Buster Keaton
Peter Falk vs Omar Sharif
Gregory Peck vs Paul Robeson

Petty Officer 1st Class Charles Jackson French September 25, 1919 – November 7, 1956) was hailed as the “hero of the Solomons” and the “Human Tugboat” after a heroic rescue in the Pacific during WWII. He was one of the most celebrated Black sailors during the war.
He was born in Foreman, Arkansas. After the death of his parents, he lived with his older sister, Viola, in Omaha, Nebraska. He enlisted in the Navy (1937-41). He received an honorable discharge, but re-enlisted after Pearl Harbor. He was assigned to the mess as an attendant.
On the night of September 5, 1942, he was on board the USS Gregory, when it was sunk by the Japanese navy near the Solomon Islands. He helped fifteen wounded survivors from the ship into a life raft. He towed the raft of wounded survivors toward a different island. He swam between six and eight hours in shark-infested water before being rescued by marines.
It was Ensign Robert N. Adrian, the only officer from the bridge of the Gregory to survive, who told an Associated Press reporter about the rescue. He recounted the narrative on the NBC radio program, “It Happened in the Service.” Although Ensign Adrian received the Purple Heart for being wounded in action during the attack, he received a letter of commendation for “meritorious conduct in action” instead of a medal.
He made public appearances after the rescue. He was celebrated in the Black press and was the subject of a syndicated comic strip. He was also the only African American to appear on WWII patriotic trading cards. He suffered from alcoholism and depression.
He was honored by USA Swimming at the Olympics Swim Trials in Omaha. Nebraska’s three Congressmen, co-sponsored H.R. 4168 to rename an Omaha post office for him. A retired Air Force brigadier general, has petitioned the navy, asking for him to be considered for a posthumous medal of honor. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence

Been enjoying your art for quite a while now! I really need to see and know more about transgender warriorprince, it almost could be a drawing of current me irl, and i'm amab. Definitely one of my goals in a sense, long story. Thanks!
Well I was actually going to do a lore sheet of the current character "within" that archetype soon I'll do this later I'll say a few things though...
First I have a Tezuka star system or Fate/like saber face type way of looking at this where there's the visual archetype that forms the basis of different mind soldiers... So maybe the more interesting thing to you is the archetype versus the specific guy.
Also that I think amab Tboy can be a real gender if you want. It also doesn't matter if you're a real thing or if someone else tells you you're a real thing or not bt I want to put it out there the reality that sometimes a Tboy is a Tboy regardless of the mundane realities we consider essential to Tboy izm
Transgender warrior prince guy as an archetype is someone who Has kind of an earthen perspective and an emphasis on well-being and balance that can translate to pragmatism or to reductive worldview. A great capacity for nobility and valor and also like greed and reactionary patterns and violence. He's broadly solar. If I want to learn more about his medicne I have to let him ferment longer in my mind bunker I think. Here's some of the "in character" knowledge:
In his capacity as Michal's yaoi consort (momentary scizzoring and crying based yaoi that collapses amicably due to incompatible goals/both being stone (?)) he functions as both relational ground to reinvent herself after first 20ish years of her life overshadowed by weapons grade socially fuckin shattering mental illness and also an initial object of compassion that disrupts tha cluster B malicious destroyer patterns. Conversely she as his yaoi consort demonstrates a human soul with ready access to the absolute fucking depth of misery and despair and the golden gleaming heights of ecstasy and genius which disrupts his sort of comfortably narrow affect N points him to inward spiritual portal ....
Oh his name is Gregory "Gory" Slaughter with the baptismal name "Ataraxio", selected by Michal as translation of masculine Sanskrit name Ananda, one of her hobbies is pretending to understand linguistics. Begins to practice syncretic woodland catholicism on tail end of 1st saturn return.
Helping? Interesting? Maybe. It's a cartoon so modular glyph that can be ensouled by spirits peculiar to each viewer (grimoire on metaphysics of cartooning forthcoming). Interested in your response or elaboration but it's allowed to be secret. More pictures?

What's the garden au tell me about it I'm intrigued
@valkyrkinnie feel free to add onto this because I'm braindead atm
just pasting the entire document here to be real
Garden of Afton au or just, "the garden", is just an excuse for every diverging continuity we make up.
The reasoning behind every continuity is that Michael is in a time loop, beginning from the moment Ennard decides to leave its flesh suit and he wakes up on that warm sidewalk.
To get out of this time loop, he's got to fix all the mess his father made by destroying every animatronic related to the incident.
If he dies, he starts over, left with only an incredible sense of unease and deja vu if he goes towards the wrong path once again.
But no matter the continuity, there's always one thing that's always there; the garden.
Before everything, the Aftons had a prize winning garden that Mrs. Afton kept up with mostly.
It's also where she and Elizabeth are buried, with Ballora burying her own corpse and the latter by William.
The garden has always existed, and will always exist no matter its dilapidation.
Commonly, Ballora will be drawn to it and will realize her identity as the late Mrs. Afton.
This all acts as an alternative to Pizzeria Sim; it never happens.
Here's where we get nightmare gas leaky. The time loop? it's fabricated.
At the end of the final, completed loop, Michael wakes up from a medically induced coma he was placed under by Henry. By Michael destroying everyone in this hyperrealistic dream, he frees them from the real world also. They agreed that this would be the end of it.
All Michael remembers is the very last loop that in his mind lasted years, when in reality it lasted about 2 months. Needless to say, he regrets ever signing those papers.
However, there were some loops where Henry seriously considered killing Michael so that he never would've known that this was just a dream.
Loops where he was finally happy. where he brought them together and made them whole. Because at least then, the end goal was still achieved; they could never hurt anyone in the real world again.
And Michael himself would finally have peace.
Michael waking up can ALSO segway into him brutally attacking Henry for this sort of torturous 2 and a half month long nightmare, with Henry agreeing to put him back under for good and they both pass on.
Which THEN segways to Michael accidentally possessing Glamrock Freddy years later while he's in the parts and services protective dome. And Gregory is playing Simon Says on his FACE.
The universe hates Michael so he exists only as a foil to his father. To clean up his mess and ultimately live in his shadow.
So if Michael is here now after dying 6 years ago... so is he.
But Henry could've never even anticipated William returning in the form of Glitchtrap.
The whole time traveling part requires Henry to die here, because then his soul is freed to literally fuck around and find out. Retaining information he's gained from different timelines and continuities, bringing them to others, trying to find *some way* to patch things up. Something typically always goes wrong, yknow butterfly effect and chaos theory bullshit. But he can dream, at least.
It all boils down to "what if he could save them all?" He can't, and he realizes this. but DAMN he will try.
The first thing he does is stop Michael from ever signing those documents. He doesn't need him anymore. There's no point in putting Michael through all that torture again.
He doesn't DESERVE any of that.
Whatever time to quantum suicide to the gay reality.
-
My favorite is when Henry shows up to Fazbear's closing in 1993 to stop William from having a workplace accident (eviscerating himself inside Springbonnie).
William being completely shell shocked because HIS Henry completely denounced ever wanting to see his face again and here he is just, nonchalantly walking up to him. Takes a drag of a cigarette and goes "yeah don't do that".
1st - The actual fear gas experimenting time loop shit. The "canon" timeline.
2nd - Michael getting trapped in The Good Timeline after Henry kills him (Michael refurbishes all the animatronics of his family himself, runs fazbears, etc)
3rd - Henry dies and his soul is freed to fuck around and find out.
Hell, all of this is more just a prologue to everything considering I mostly fuck around with 3rd continuity Henry anyway.

Thomas Dowdeswell, by Joseph Blackburn c. 1778. Dowdeswell was a Lieutenant and Captain (a ranking convention peculiar to the Brigade of Guards that I won’t get into here) in the 1st Foot Guards during the American Revolution, and this portrait shows him in the modified campaign uniform he wore in the early years of the conflict.
Superficially it follows what we might expect from an officer’s garb, but differs from standard regulations in many interesting ways. Firstly, Dowdeswell’s hat is not the cocked “tricorn” (to use the later term) that we’re used to – it’s been modified by being cut down into a small round hat, with the lace left off and only one side pinned up, plus a few feathers.
He carries a fusil and bayonet and the accoutrements that go with it – belting and a cartridge pouch, making him appear in this regard almost indistinguishable from a regular private soldier. It seems he doesn’t have a sword. He has kept his gorget and sash, but removed the gold lace from around his buttons. In fact, his regimental coat has been cut down to a jacket, with the skirts shortened.
Besides these more obvious modifications, there are many minor ones that set him apart, from the pointed design of the cuffs to the slender trim of white cord around his collar and turnbacks. It is an ensemble that doesn’t match most regulations, but fits with reality.
Officers rarely modified their uniforms wholesale during the war, but nor were they all strident followers of the 1768 regulations. The traditional rank signifiers of sash, gorget and epaulettes were sometimes present in different combinations. Not, of course, that a formal portrait necessarily denotes exactly what was worn during active service, but in Dowdeswell’s case he seems to have specifically worn his “campaign uniform.”
There are further caveats to this – the Brigade of Guards made a lot of specific uniform modifications prior to deploying to North America in 1776, but didn’t keep all of them up throughout the war. Officers dressed differently in different theatres and at different times.
But I think the Dowdeswell portrait gives a nice indication of some of the variation at play. Much of this comes from the brilliant research of Professor Gregory Urwin, who has studied and analysed hundreds of portraits of British officers from the period. For the full modifications undertaken by the Brigade of Guards in 1776, see this excellent article by William W. Burke and Linnea M. Bass https://www.military-historians.org/company/journal/guards/guards.htm 15/15

The Black Aesthetic.
"Being Black isn't an Aesthetic, It's culture."
A story about adults who live in a predominantly black small town in Tennessee, Dealing with small town woes as well showing different perspectives of being from a small town.
(This is a mixture of 1st & 3rd POV) - 3.6K

────
“No.” I bluntly say as Tailah was on her knees. Her hands intertwined. She looked pathetic. Tailah angrily huffs at me as she gets up. I softly sighed. She knows I would do anything for GiGi. That’s my baby! But going to a parent-teacher conference is not something I want to do on my day off. Being around kids, in general, does not sound like some shit I want to do, period.
“Why can’t Devin go?!” I argued. I mean, what is he there for? His good looks?
“I already told you Devin went out of town for his farming business. Look, you’re always complaining that you want to be more active in Genesis’ life. This is your time to shine, God Mommy!” Tailah says, trying to butter up the deal. I rolled my eyes. I did put my foot in my mouth saying that shit.
Give a defeated sigh as Tailah’s eyes light up, knowing she had me wrapped around her fat fingers. She pulls me in for a tight hug. I hate when Tailah gives me hugs. Them bitches be mad tight for no reason. I try pushing her off of me. We are both fat, and that’s just a lot of blubber between us.
“Get off of me!” I scowl, finally pushing her off of me.
“Ok, if you need anything, just call the hospital.” I waved her off. I knew the spiel all too well. Tailah rushes out of my Duplex, and right on Cue, here comes my favorite little human ever, GiGi.
“Auntie, where’s mommy?” GiGi asked me, confused. I kneel to her level, admiring her big brown eyes, and softly sigh, fighting the baby fever urge.
“Mommy went to work. I’ll be going to your parent-teacher conference.” I proudly announced. GiGi smiles at me.
“Ok, that’s fine.” I stand back up and take Gig’s hand.
“Let’s go ahead and hurry up. Your mother will lose her shit if I’m late to this meeting.” GiGi giggles, shaking her head.
“Auntie! You have to watch your mouth.” She scolds. I rolled my eyes. Just like that, my baby fever went away.

Meanwhile, Gregory was finishing with his last parent. He couldn’t believe that God just lets anybody reproduce. He lets out a disappointed sigh when a knock on the door shakes him from his negative thoughts.
It was his girlfriend and fellow teacher, Janine Teagues. She knew how much Gregory dreaded this day so she stopped by when she had a chance to make sure Gregory was not losing his mind or debating on quitting. Gregory’s mood instantly lifts into a more positive one.
A smile forms on his face as Janine walks over to his desk.
“How are you holding up?” Janine asks, walking behind him and giving him a small shoulder massage.
“They should test a parent’s intelligence before they can take a child home,” Gregory complains, earning a small chuckle from Janine.
“Oh, it can’t be that bad,” Janine says, playfully rolling her eyes. Gregory gives her his signature glare, making Janine laugh.
“Luckily, I have one more parent, and then, I can go home.” Janine grins.
“And what do you plan on doing?” Janine asks, leaning forward and whispering in his ear.
“Hopefully you—” Janine’s face heats up. Before she can answer, the door opens, and Ava clears her throat. The pair awkwardly pulled away from each other. They look up at Ava, who seems disgusted.
“Janine, your parent is waiting for you in the classroom, and if you could, please don’t do all that. Kids have to come here.” Janine rolls her eyes and walks towards the door.
“I’ll see you later.” Gregory nods. Janine awkwardly brushes past Ava. Ava looks at Gregory one more time. They share an awkward stare. Ava then seductively winks at him and closes the door behind her. Gregory scrunches his face up in disgust and shutters. He could not wait for this day to end.

I pulled into the packed parking lot, stunned to see it was so packed. I thought parents avoided going to these. Well, my mom always did. Edward Winston Elementary School aka E.W. Center, back in my days. Before they closed the 6-8 program. They had rebuilt the school during my stint in Cali.
I never thought I would revisit this school. But I also didn’t think I would move back home, either. But here I am, back in my old stomping grounds. The building looks nice, and that’s all I got. I hated going to school and still do. Tailah better be lucky, I love GiGi very much, or else, I wouldn’t have agreed to this. I finally found a parking spot near the school. Granted, it’s a handicap spot, but them niggas can wait thirty minutes.
I get out of my car and go to the back to get GiGi out of the car seat. I close the door, and with this girl on my hip, I carry her into the school. I let out a soft sigh. This was going to be a long ass day. I walked up to the table and signed GiGi and I in.
“Oh! You must be a new parent.” The lady at the table says. I look up, and the woman gasps.
“Marí Dunlock, is that you?” I looked her up and down, confused.
“I might be, who’s asking?” The woman gets up and smiles.
“It’s me! Mrs. Howard! Your Kindergarten Teacher!” I blink rapidly. Oh, shit! She might be right.
“I didn’t know you were related to Genesis.” I chuckled.
“Yep, I’m her god mommy and her favorite aunt.” GiGi Giggles, laying her head on my shoulder. She proudly looks at me.
“Aww! Well, how have you been?” She asked me, trying to make small talk, but I didn’t know what to say.
I left town to get away from my mother, only come back after my love life and job life went into shambles, running back to my mother only for her raggedy ass to die, and now, I’m stuck here trying to figure out what’s the meaning of life while working some stupid job I hate but is stuck with because it pays the bills and also comes with great benefits.
“Fine. I’m a Senior Entertainer Manager at a popular Management company.” Mrs. Howard’s eyes light up.
“OH! That sounds exciting.” More, like, exhausting. I shrug.
“It’s ok,” I mutter.
“Well, I should get going.” I continue, pulling myself away from this dreaded conversation. Before she can say something, we quickly rush off. I put GiGi down so she could lead me to her teacher’s room.
“Aight, GiGi. Lead the way.” GiGi happily nods, and she begins to lead me to her teacher’s room. As we walk down the hallway, she explains unnecessary information about the classrooms. How did she know all the gossip? I don’t know, but I begrudgingly listen to it, all because I love her. I’d rather have her talk my ear off than be silent.
We finally reach the classroom, and GiGi opens the door.
“This is my classroom, Auntie!” She proudly professes. I smiled as I looked around the classroom. It was cute or whatever. Nothing to write home about. It looks like your average first-grade classroom.
“Oh, You must be—” That voice… That voice sounds familiar. It better not be— I slowly turned around and beat Tailah’s ass is the first on my list of things to do when I see her. He looked at me as if he saw a damn ghost, bitch same here.
“Marí?” I take a deep breath.
“Gregory, you’re my goddaughter’s teacher?” I asked, trying to keep my composure. He cautiously nods.
“Yea… Small world?”
“What do you mean small world? Nigga, you ain’t recognize Tailah?” His eyes widened as everything pieced together in his small brain. Figures. He wasn’t the brightest light bulb in the pack.
“Oh wow! I knew Ms. Rhodes looked familiar, I just didn’t realize—” I put my hand up, stopping him, and sighing.
“I’m here as a favor for Tailah. The hospital called her in.” Gregory nods.
“Ok, have a seat.” I nod, sitting at one of the desks. He sits across with a folder in his hand.
“How have you been, Marí?” I rolled my eyes, I didn’t care for the casuals.
“I’ve been fine,” I said, struggling to keep my composure. He hums nodding.
“Genesis is doing really well in my class— Too well.” I furrowed my eyebrows.
“Is that a bad thing or something?” I asked, I was offended by his tone. He saying it like he is shocked. My GiGi is a smart girl! Of course, she doing well.
“I wasn’t trying to say it was a bad thing. If you’d let me finish, I feel that first grade is not challenging her enough.”
“Oh. Why didn’t you start with that?” Gregory takes a deep breath.
“You’re the one that cut me off,” Gregory argued. I rolled my eyes.
“Well, fix your tone.”
“You need to fix yours.” He says as if he was threatening. I couldn’t lie, he still had a hold on me when he was domineering. It was the way his voice deepened and how serious his tone was, just always knew how to put me in my place.
I hate it.
A satisfied grin plastered on his face. I wanted to smack that shit off, but GiGi was in the room, and I don’t want her to see me act crazy. Although, she was distracted, playing with the toys across the room. When I smack, I make sure I leave a mark.
“Well, they’re a gifted program offered here, and if you talked to Tailah about it, the program might be a good fit for Genesis.” He explains, handing me a pamphlet. I looked at it and skimmed through it.
“Is that it?”
“Well, I mean, she’s doing exceptionally well in my class.”
“You already said that.”
“What’s your problem, Marí? Last time, I checked, you left.”
“And you didn’t stop me.”
“Cause, you’re a grown woman Marí. Why would I stop you?”
“Because you said, you loved me.” Gregory lets out a flustered groan.
“And I did, but we clearly wanted two different things in life. You wanted to stay in Cali, and I didn’t. I wanted a long-distance relationship, but you shut that idea down. I don’t know why you’re so damn mad?!” Gregory argued. He had a valid point. I was scared, and I couldn’t admit that. I still can’t. I softly sigh.
“Gregory, I—” Gregory took my hand.
“I heard about your mother… I wanted to reach out—” I shook my head.
“It’s fine, honestly,” I muttered. I loathed vulnerable moments, and he knew that. I jerked my hand away, I didn’t need his sympathy. He softly sighed, he didn’t budge any further.
“Still the same ol’ Marí. Scared to confront her feelings.” I scoffed.
“Go to hell.” Gregory shakes his head, chuckling.
“It’s fine. I was overstepping boundaries, anyway. You still look good.” I rolled my eyes, but I couldn’t help but smile. He still can make me blush.
I hate that.
“Thanks, so do you. In your own goofy way.” He rolls his eyes.
“My goofy looks had you crazy over me back then.” He teases, leaning over and showing his pearly white teeth. I rolled my eyes.
“I was 10 with low self-esteem.” He scoffs.
“Oh, whatever! Marí! I had you stuck on me for 15 years.” He teased, I looked down and blushed.
“Fifteen years…” I trailed off. Gregory leans back in his chair, with a small smile.
“Yeah.”
“and it’s been seven years since I last saw you…” I muttered.
“How long were you back in town?” Gregory quickly changes the subject. I looked up at the ceiling to do the math.
“Uhhh, Mom Dukes died almost a year ago—- I wanna say almost 2 or 3 years.”
“And you didn’t think to let a nigga know?” Gregory asks. His body was relaxed but his eyes were seeping through my soul, making me nervous.
“How was I supposed to know you were still in town?” I argued, but I knew Gregory was not letting that slide.
“You could’ve hit me up. My number never changed, Marí.” I didn’t have a rebuttal for that argument. I just sat in silence. Our eyes had a separate conversation. It was nice to see Gregory, I can admit. He’s done well for himself, and I know Genesis is in good hands.
Gregory has always been good with kids, even though his face rarely shows it. He truly loves his job. I was just mad cause, deep down, I knew I still loved him, and it sucks that seven years later, I still can’t shake him.
I think he knew that as well.
“Marí?” A girl calls out. Our eyes unlocked, and we looked at the door. I furrowed my eyebrows.
“Janine? Janine Teagues?” I questioned, getting up. I looked over at Gregory. His expression was of Shock and guilt. Janine walks over to us.
“I did not know you had a kid,” Janine said, shocked. I shook my head.
“Oh, No! That’s my goddaughter,” Janine nods.
“Awe, Ok! It’s been like what? Over 15 years since we last saw each other?” I nod.
“Yeah, it has, you’re still with Tariq?” I ask, trying to hold my disgust. I still don’t know how they ended up together. Janine was so smart, and Tariq was—well retarded. We still think that Tariq’s mom fucked the principal so he could graduate cause we Knew Tariq was not passing regular classes. He ate glue because it looked like Cream cheese Icing, and we were in the 10th grade.
Janine blushes, looking over at Gregory, who sported a small smile. I—
“Well, no. We broke up. I’m actually—” Before she could finish her sentence, GiGi walked up to us, interrupting the conversation.
“Oh! You met Ms. Teagues, Mr. Eddie’s girlfriend!” I awkwardly scratch the back of my head. Now, feeling dejected and embarrassed. They both nervously chuckled. Janine kneels to GiGi.
“Hey, the adults are talking. When we’re done—-“
“GiGi, you can stay,” I interject. Janine looks up at me, concerned.
“Marí, I don’t think this conver—”
“GiGi is not dense, and you’re not going to treat her as such. We were leaving anyways.” I took Gigi’s hand before Janine could finish we left the classroom. I can admit, I was jealous knowing that Greg had moved on with someone who was more stabilized than me, but I was also glad that he did. At least one of us wasn’t suffering.

────
“I bet seeing your ex was not on your to-do list today.” Janine awkwardly jokes trying to lighten the tense mood. Greg gets up and nods.
“Yea. I didn’t expect that.” He mutters to himself. He felt guilty. He felt guilty at the fact that he was secretly happy to see Marí again. The old feelings he thought he had buried after reconnecting with Janine had surfaced. Those memories he could physically feel all over again. They would hide under the playground and talk for hours.
The same playground where they shared their first kiss. Gregory used to hold Marí’s hand and walk her to her classes. They became intimate at her mother’s Section 8 apartment during their teens. Her mother was never home. Marí’s place was perfect for losing their virginity. After they had sex, they were disappointed because it happened so fast, then they got scared when there was a blood stain on her bed and thought they injured her. A memory that often brought laughter to the pair.
Or when in high school when they both got into their favorite college and celebrated the moment. All the good, the bad, and the ugly. Everybody thought they were destined to grow old together. Hell, he thought they were too, but he guessed Marí had other plans, and he had no choice but to accept them.
And he thought he did, when he fell for Janine, but Marí quickly humbled him, making him realize that he wasn’t over her, but he couldn’t just leave Janine. It was too risky, and besides, He doubted that Marí even felt the same. What’s in the past, stays in the past.
Janine noticed his longing silence, bringing a feeling of insecurity. Greg quickly notices and gives her a reassuring look.
“Janine, You don’t have to worry about Marí. What we had is in the past.” He pauses and then caresses her cheek.
“You’re my future.” He says, assuring her. Janine looks up and blushes. They share a soft and passionate kiss. Those words quickly calmed her nerves, but if she only knew those words were lies.

“How was the meeting?” Tailah asks me, entering my house without knocking. I quickly shot my head up from my book.
“Bitch, how did you get in?” Tailah looks at me, confused.
“You gave me a key, remember? You gave me and Jeoni a key, and Courtney got mad ‘cause she ain’t get a key, and then you had to—-“ I put my hand up, stopping her. My name was not Michael Jackson, and I did not want to remember the goddamn time.
“Ok. I got it.” I slammed my book closed and got up.
“I want to kick yo ass, but Gigi is in the back sleeping. Why did you not warn me that Gregory works at E.W!” Tailah furrows her eyebrows then her eyes widen.
“Oh shit! You right! I honestly forgot.” My eyes widened. Bitch how did you forget my ex works there?!
“Bitch! What?” Tailah rolls her eyes.
“It’s been seven years, and you’ve moved on since. I don’t know why I need to warn you about Mr. Eddie working there?” I groaned, throwing my head back, then glared at Tailah.
“OH! I don’t know. So, I can mentally prepare myself not to fall in love when I see him!” I argued. Tailah hums.
“You still love him? You never meant—”
“Cause, I wasn’t right in front of him in a school where I fell in love with him at.” Tailah frowns and places her hand on my shoulder.
“Marí…” I moved my shoulder away.
“I don’t need your sympathy. I’ll be fine. He’s dating Janine, anyways.” Tailah gasps.
“Genesis told me that, but I ain’t believe her ‘cause you know how kids are.”
“Oh! Speaking of which, Gregory thinks you should put her in the gifted program because he felt like first grade isn’t challenging her.” Tailah crosses her arms and hums as if this isn’t her first time hearing this.
“Yea, Mrs. Howard expressed the same thing to us when she was in kindergarten. Devin doesn’t want to put her in the gifted program because he fears she’ll get bullied or worse, become depressed because she’s different.” I scoffed, leaning back.
“Just because back his in country bumpkin days they would bully the student doesn’t mean they will do that now, especially me as her god mommy. I am a tier three crash out. I will beat the kids and the parents.” Tailah chuckles.
“Devin also mentioned he didn’t need you crashing out either.” I waved her off.
“Well, Talk to Gigi about it. Ask her what she wants. Gigi knows what she likes and what she doesn’t like.” Tailah sighs.
“I know, it’s just Gigi is also a daddy’s girl, and if her daddy doesn’t want her to do something, she isn’t going to do it, even if she wants to.” I hummed, nodding. She had a fair point. If she senses Devin isn’t ok with the idea, she’ll say no just to make her dad happy. I sighed.
“Well, you got time to think it over and talk to Devin about it. Look, I agree with Gregory about her being smart. Genesis is reading chapter books meant for middle school students and she picks up her surroundings very well. Don’t stifle her potential because Devin is scared of his baby girl growing up.” Tailah sighs, nodding. She knows I’m right. Hopefully, Devin sees it, too.
“Well, I’ma go get Gigi up. She has school in the morning, and I have to go in right after.” I nodded. Tailah went into the back to get Gigi up from her bed. Yes, Gigi has her own bedroom. I told you that girl is the apple of my eye.
I return to the couch, grabbing my phone. A notification pops up on my lock screen. It’s an Instagram notification. I brushed it off as it was probably some influencer following me, hoping to get a management deal at my company. I open Instagram to see the heart flashing with numbers. I sighed and clicked on the heart to see this person liking all my pictures. I rolled my eyes until I caught a part of the name.
Eddie. I take a deep breath and click on the name. There he was on my phone screen. I smile softly scrolling through his account. He doesn’t post much, which isn’t surprising. He wasn’t too keen on social media, but the things I did see made me smile.
I scrolled back up and the blue follow button was taunting me. I bite my bottom lip, I wanted to follow him back, but I also didn’t want the blogs to catch on me following some random guy in my hometown. The door shuts, snapping me out of my thoughts. I looked up and it was just me, alone in my living room. I sighed softly and pressed the follow button.
I hope this doesn’t bite me in the ass.

I can’t be bothered to finish my fic but I still want to post it so here’s a snippet. (this is my first time somewhat posting a fic on tumblr?? not sure if there’s a specific lay-out lol.)
Characters: Gregory House, Allison Cameron
Pairing: Gregory House/Allison Cameron, Hameron
Tags: vampirism (unsure what else I can tag it as in this moment of the story tbh.)
To say she could fully begin to process the weight of her decision would be unfounded, but she knew then that she had already made it when she began crawling to him, a drawn out swallow in the dryness of her throat being the only audible sound produced from either of them. His glare intensified, but he appeared unable to form a resolution as to move away from her, unwavering when she held his hand in her palm shakily, enveloping it in a warm embrace before bringing it to her chest, never taking her eyes off of him.
“I’ll help you if you’ll let me.” Tears pricked in the corners of her eyes but she blinked them back, shuffling slightly closer to him. “I’m not going to turn away from you.”
In any other moment of time, where Gregory’s decision-making wasn’t severely affected by his reborn exigencies or when he is able to fall back on his fixations and forget ever having to deal or manage with his issues he would’ve scoffed at her desperate attempt to understand him, chastise her about the convoluted proceedings that had led him to develop this abstract practice that he hadn’t known would come to fruition before his very eyes in the form of himself and how it was too foreign for her mind, but here, in this grounded scene unfolding before him, he couldn’t harbor his resentment for people and their incessant need to sooth any longer. Countless nights had been spent ruminating about his next course of action, and unfortunately most of those thoughts revolved around a person one way or another. He begrudgingly unclenched himself, staring down shamefully at the ground hard.
“My rebirth…” He began, unsure where in his story he should start, whether he should spare her the details of how painstakingly long his original blood-seeking methods trialed but that he had to have gone through to satisfy the ever-growing hunger boiling up inside him the moment he had turned. or tell her the bare truth in order for her to even begin to comprehend the torture that he had to endure with becoming his vampiric self? “My rebirth happened on December 1st, in the evening, just outside of the hospital.”
Gregory looked up then at Allison, trying to gauge her reaction to the information, trying to see which emotion will overtake her first: sadness, surprise, or sympathy. It did not shock him in the slightest when she expressed all at once, her face contorting in multiple ways while her palm tightened around his fist.
“That was a week ago, you’ve just been shutting people out a few days ago, what happened?” She asked, before cringing at herself for having asked, unsure how insensitive it was, not even checking if he was okay with questions such as that. To her relief, he didn’t seem affected by it, tapping his fingers against the floorboard as if in thought.
“On the first day the man who turned me left me there leaned up against a tree. A few hours after, I felt a thirst for blood.” He glanced at her for a moment, scrutinizing her face for any twitch in her facial expressions that could be a sign she was scrutinizing him, continuing when her concern for him remained unwavered. “I killed these cattle I saw near a farm to survive, whether you think they deserved it is out of the question, it’s already been done.” He was glad for the slight smile that pushed past her lips, already feeling that the room bore too suffocating for him. “But animal blood isn’t enough. It only satisfies me for so long.” He looked up at her, the implication laying bare in the air between them. He watched her come to the realization, her eyes widening.
“You drank from someone?” She tried to stifle her disgust but couldn’t. Her heart pounded loudly in her chest, an intense vibration that House could sense all too well. He had expected her to have such a reaction, but it nonetheless made him want to stop talking. He adjusted his position, eyes facing downwards.
“I couldn’t—“ He held back his frustration, wishing it wasn’t one of his exceedingly heightened emotions. He fixed himself back to look at her, contracting his lips inwards. “I couldn’t live off animal blood.” From the wary expression on her face he knew that she didn’t fully believe him, and he knew that he himself wasn’t telling the full truth, but it was better to ease her worries than deal with the fall out arising from his actions, so he continued. “And I didn’t drink from someone, I took some blood vials that were being stored.
An exhale of relief breathed past her, her shoulders unclenching, reasoning with herself that at least he hadn’t drank from anyone, but it still conflicted sharply with the moral dilemmas tormenting her mind, and she subconsciously shifted further away from him. He noticed first, his eyes bearing a betrayed look, his mask failing him. He was quick to stand, cursing underneath his breath. Cameron stood up shakily, always the first to fall back on her words.
“I’m sorry I just—“ She grasped his arm, softening her gaze. “I just need some time to get used to it, you can’t just expect me to just be able to accept it so—“
“I had to accept it!” He shouted, tugging his arm away from her roughly causing her to stumble. “You don’t think it was hard for me? To sit there on the snow and just manage with the pain and weariness? He left before I could even ask him what was going to happen, I’m still figuring things out!”
Cameron stared up at him wide-eyed, her mouth uselessly opening as if she wanted to get words out but couldn’t. She walked stiffly to the chair across from his desk and slumped against it, resting her head on the armrest, upset. House turned away, repetitively clenching his fists in frustration.

The thing I hate and love about Cassie's dad's narrative is how it was used.
I remember almost crying and throwing up once it was revealed that he was killed and shoved into mask bot, literally dooming his daughter.
I'm someone who enjoys the emotional element of a story just as much as the narrative element of a story. Him literally being used as a tool for Steel Wool feels so unsatisfying to me because there was so much potential.
Him being Bonnie bro is a nice easter egg and all and also ties in with the theme of karma because of what he did when he was young but there's still this thing bothering me about it.
Like- so what? So what if he was one of the bullies? It's cool and all but at least give me some relevance to other than just a mention and a mask!
Other than that he has basically no lore relevance. I want him to be important to the storyline! This is why I theorized at one point that he was going to be the protagonist of SoTM so that he had at least has SOME more relevance in the plotline.
Him being another Jeremy is so insignificant to me. I want to feel a connection with the character. I want to feel sadness. I want to feel dread. I want to feel sorrow because we don't know if he was a good dad or not. We know so little about him!!
Cassie might have lost an actually good parent and knowing this franchise there are very few good parents.
It's just... So frustrating.
I'm personally someone who dislikes Cassies dad, but I think ur ask is a perfect example of how they handled him wrong. with the current evidence, it really is just looking like Cassies dad will be a Jeremy, someone who existed to serve the plot and then die. but for like, months, SO many people thought he was more important, he built mxes, he set up the nodes in ruin, etc. it always infuriated me because Gregory vanessa and Freddy had always deserved that relevancy and to do those actions in the story to me. and I feel so much satisfaction that the evidence and canonicity has been like, leaned back towards them a lot, more than it ever was before
but again, I think that goes to show how much they didnt make their intentions with Cassies dad clear, and its hurting both sides, my side who hated him because it felt like he took screentime and story importance from characters who deserved it more, and your side, who genuinely like him as a character and were excited to see him more
it's just like. now both sides have had to experience disappointment regarding him. maybe I'm wrong about Cassies dad and things will change again, but it really is looking like hes a throwaway, which is satisfying to ME, but they handled his character in a way where people like you LIKED that he was prob lore relevant, so now that he isnt it's very unsatisfying to you
I wish they would just. make their intentions more clear. I have my own personal thoughts on if Cassies dad being lore relevant or not would be better or worse for the story regarding Gregory vanessa and freddys screentime, but the point is that both sides of the fans were let down in a way they didnt need to be. it's frustrating. it just would have been so much better if they conveyed that from the start.
tbh I dont even think hes gone forever and I think theres a chance he could have more going on. like, I thought it was really possible Cassies dad was the arcade guy from sb at some point, so maybe hes who freed Gregory from dr rabbit or something. and also, that plotline u were talking about about the emotion of the story with cassie and her dad, I feel like that wont be sweeped under the rug. I feel like theyll show Cassies grief over her dad at least once. if she has a mom itd be interesting thinking about/seeing how she would handle that grief with her mom. but these are all things that he wouldnt be like, actively doing present day. the 1st idea is a prequel thing, and the 2nd idea is just his death affecting another character, but maybe if something like that happened itd be satisfying for you as a Cassies dad fan

Fnaf Theories that I know arent canon but I’m gonna treat as such (Tw: Please don’t take me seriously in this post)
Elizabeth Afton is the mimic
Monty is possessed by Sparky the Dog
Charlie has a twin who got to live who took over Fazbear Entertainment after Pizzaria Sim
One of the Mrs Afton’s left William for Phone Guy so that’s why he dies in the 1st game
Vanessa and Suzie are distant relatives
Glamrock Bonnie actually died after trying to get with Vanny (The Smash of 83 lol)
Ness is the real urple guy and Steve Raglan was just a man he hired to throw Mike off his scent
Markiplier is actually the guy in the Chica mask and NateWantsToBattle is the guy in the Freddy Mask from the Bite of 83 mini game
Balloon Boy is possessed by a small frail Victorian child who somehow time traveled into the FAzbear timeline
The box actually contains the body (or brain) of the Crying Child because William was trying to bring him back
Gregory is actually a 4th kid of William, his ex wife was smart and never told him she was preggers
Henry somehow survived Pizza Sim, cause god hates everyone in this game, and is being held hostage in Fazbear Headquarters
William lost an ex wife because he kept calling his balls Fazballs and his… you know what, FazGoo
And finally, we actually play as Mike in UCN because UCN and Pizzeria Sim are happening simultaneously
If any of these actually become canon, I might just lose it. Anyway i expect to get atleast one death threat from this post and I’ll cry if I I don’t

Hello~! I am a new fan of Ace Attorney and I found your blog and absolutely fell in love with ur fankids and au, aaaa!!!! It's all so cute!!! I was wondering if I could ask a few questions about it, if you don't mind?
My first question is regarding Maya and Phoenix! So is Phoenix like a sperm donor for their kids together and it's like an agreed upon thing they talked about alot beforehand and felt okay doing because they're dear friends and close or is it more like a comfortable romantic-leaning relationship they've got going on where they have sex sometimes but they're more like cozy partners?
My 2nd question is about Miles!! I wanted to know how he interacts with the girls! For them, he's more like an uncle right? (Or is he like another father figure for them too?) Does he find it more awkward/harder to interact with them or does he soften up and treat them the same as Gregory??
Anyway, thank you for enlightening me to this au!!! I just got through the 1st game and could definitely see the Phoenix×Miles ship but I hadn't considered how well all 3 of them could click together! I love that you're exploring that happiness for them and now it's one of my favorite au/headcanon's for AA!!! (^^)💕
Hello friend (and Happy Pride Month everyone 𔓘⭒๋࣭ )!! Thank you so much and I'm so glad you enjoy the au, it means a lot! The three of them deserve a happy and loving life together and it brings me joy to see that other people think so, too!
I always love answering questions about the au so I'll be happy to answer!
There's a lot here so I have it all under the cut. :)
(And here's another teaser from my illustration series I'm still working on. I haven't had much time to make new artwork for the au lately ahh ಥ‿ಥ )
Tumblr media
Anyway, with your first question, it's funny because neither is exactly right. In the beginning, being a donor was something that both Edgeworth and Maya mentioned explicitly (Phoenix feels that there's maybe a "nicer way to put it") but that's essentially what they believed that they were getting themselves into.
They discussed it for nearly half a year while Maya still explored her options and met with other people in the mean time, and this was already after Maya was actively looking for a husband for more than a year and a half. Luckily, Phoenix already knew a bit about the matriarchy and history of Kurain Village, so Maya didn't need to explain much more about that to him. Regardless, the arrangements had to be discussed at length.
Maya didn't expect nor want Phoenix to drop his whole life to be her house-husband in Kurain, so they knew early on that they would spend their parenthood together on a visiting-basis. They visited each other often anyway, so it wouldn't disrupt their lives too much all things considering.
This obviously wasn't ideal on paper, and there was some lament that it was unreasonable for them to be full time parents together. However, with Maya finding herself feeling overwhelmed "in a bad way", as she puts it, whenever she met with potential spouses combined with Phoenix's anxiety with the history of unhappy marriages in Kurain Village and wanting nothing more than for Maya to be happy, they decided the "less than ideal" situation was the best option for them.
Then there was the matter of conceiving the kids, which I detailed in a previous ask.
Their journey to parenthood did push the boundaries of their friendship, and after exploring what those boundaries were, they often had to stop and ask themselves what they even were to each other anymore. They weren't attracted to each other, weren't super comfortable with being married for a long time (with Maya opting to label themselves as "hus-friend" and "wi-friend" in private). However, they still deeply loved each other, found some forms of intimacy pleasant with each other (eg, they enjoy cuddling and sleeping in the same bed but not making out nor having sex), and, obviously, had children together.
It wasn't until shortly before Mia (the eldest daughter) was born--nearly 4 years after Phoenix and Maya decided to have kids together--that they accepted that their relationship could not be defined and stopped caring. They knew what they were to each other and that's all that mattered. (Although, their relationship can be defined: it is queerplatonic, but they don't call themselves this because they are ignorant to the label.)
As for Edgeworth and the Fey girls, it's also a hard relationship to define. He doesn't see them as often as Phoenix does, because when Phoenix and Gregory visit Maya in Kurain, he opts to go to his house to rest and enjoy some time alone. He sees Pearl's daughters even less, since when Maya visits LA, Pearl rarely joins her since she takes over Maya's duties in Kurain.
While all four of the Fey girls call Edgeworth "Uncle Miles" or just "Miles", he’s considerably closer to Maya's daughters than Pearl's. Even before adopting Gregory, he found himself involved by counseling Phoenix and Maya throughout their journey to parenthood, was present when all three kids were born, and even named the youngest daughter (Melusina).
When the girls got a little older, Edgeworth isn't hesitant to discipline them (well, Mia--Melusina doesn't usually cause issues) if he needs to. He tries to give them equal attention but he can't help but be somewhat distant to them compared to his son. Sometimes he overcompensates and Mia takes full advantage of this--and Edgeworth knows it. All in all, he's somewhere in between a father to them and an uncle. Regardless of labels, he is very much part of their family.
Thank you so much for the question!

yar har fiddle tee dee !!
my glamrock foxy... info abt him in my version of security breach undercut , other outfits , face close ups + SHATTERD
FOXY works in the theater, dressing up in costumes to put on plays for the children, or to take them on adventures to the canyons (cowboy) or to the cove (pirate)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
built with no bulky shoulder pads as well as a removable hook, this helps the fox be able to dress up with whatever costume the children deem his roll as, princess, astronaut, sea monster, you name it, he can dress it!
His eyes help him see in the dark of the theater during showtime (which is on the hour!) , which could have been valuable to have if foxxer wasnt shattered long before Gregory arrived, but, his eyes are light sensitive (like in fnaf 2!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
His hook (as seen above) has two charms on it, one which covers the oddly sharp tip, shaped like a star, and the other shaped by a crescent moon.
foxxer was given these by the daycare attendant when they became coworkers, and soon enough clpse friends.... these charms are important to a side quest / secret boss battle if you wanted to get back into the daycare and permanently stop the lights from shutting off, ending your ban.
Tumblr media
during the optional side quest / boss battle, sun asks you to return the charms to him, and in return he'll stop the lights off cycle in the pizzaplex, which stops moon from being a threat.
to find foxy you have to go back underground into the trash zone, only being able to find foxy after you start this side quest (you could start it right after you leave the daycare, after the 1st time you meet moon)
once Gregory approachs foxy he powers on, and slowly gets up to chase, which foxy is Very Fast (built to keep up with children and of course do sick tricks!) so you will need to flash him with a camera or shoot him with the laser blaster to stun him / slow him down.
this chase / boss battle would lead you back to the daycare, more specifically the daycar eattendants room, at this point foxys battery would slowly die, his movements more jagged.
As you are running up into the room closing in onto the balcony, sun tells Gregory to grab his hook and lead foxy off the balcony (which is surprising, considering how close friends they are)
When foxy and Gregory fall, Gregory would grab the hook and yank it when sun ends up catching him using the hook and string (fly system?) to pull Gregory back onto the balcony.
Mission completes when you return the hook and charms to sun.
SHATTERD FOXY'S JUMP SCARE :
when caught by foxy, he uses his hook to catch Gregory by the shirt/ neck, yanking him closer to his jaw before biting down.
