i'm sorry i don't have anything new hl fics for you :( it's been a while since i've written fics in general and even longer since i've written 1d stuff. i guess the inspiration hasn't been there lately... on the plus side, i've finally got a new job (yayy) and i'm knee deep in research for a novel i'm so so so excited about. after suffering from writer's block for like 4 years, it's good to get into that creative spirit again haha.

so yeah, very much not exciting for y'all who want more fics, but very very exciting for me who loves this new idea i've been toying with :))

The news of Liam's death hit me like a truck. It was around 1:30 am for me when I found out and I cried until 4 am. And then I cried some more today. I know there's been a lot of controversy around him lately but am still absolutely heartbroken, the poor man has obviously been struggling mentally and I am so sorry he couldn't get the help he needed in time for this whole tragedy to be avoided.

One direction has been such an important part of my life and I feel like I will never be the same after this, my childhood died when he did. I never in my wildest dreams would have imagined I'd hear about a one direction member's death in my mid 20s . I truly hope Liam found his peace ❤🌿🕊.

Sorry for being so sad and weird atm, this whole situation is very strange and emotionally loaded and it’s bringing up a lot of unresolved trauma related to drugs and suic*de and I’m just in a bit of a weird place

I’ve seen this discourse here a few days ago both from solos and larries, about how Louis supports every 1D member and they don’t support him back, how he’s too kind and he should stop with these non reciprocal friendships. I mean, we don’t really know what kind of relationship they have privately and even if it were true, Louis is a big boy and can decide for himself. But it’s definitely interesting… what are your thoughts on that? Is it genuine, it is fan service?

Personally I don't think most of the stuff they do is fan service which I think is why it appears inconsistent. I think often SM support is a question of "I happened to have downtime be online and see this post" rather than a big plan (which means that other times that won't happen) and that concert going is similarly dependent on circumstances. Like I'm not saying they don't go do things to generate hype (*cough* LTHQ at the Stone show) but I truly believe that if Louis wanted Niall to help him out by coming to his show he would say hey Niall will you help me out by coming to this show and Niall be like I would love to do that for you thank you for asking! I just don't think it's that deep idk. But also look- these anons laid out lots of places that narrative doesn't actually hold up go check it out! Better question imo, what's up with people saying Louis is too kind and shouldn't be nice to people unless he's getting something out of it? Is this that "taking your friends to the airport is emotional labor" discourse I've been hearing about? If Louis feels like he needs to stop overextending himself by, what was it again, oh right by occasionally liking a tweet or going with his friends to a fun night out.... he can indeed make that call for himself as you say, but also wtf. And as pointed out by, again, those other anons, they clearly have more relationship than we see (which we shouldn't need clues to believe anyway because that's clearly true of most everything in their lives, that we mostly don't see it, with the possible exception of things with Zayn which I think actually are just played out publicly at this time).
