Green is considered an emotionally calming color. That property is quite apparent in the master bedroom, where the forest-green walls and shoji-like glass screens create an atmosphere of almost oriental tranquility. The charcoal carpeting that runs through the living room and bedroom is also used to upholster the birch-trimmed bookshelf in front of the glass screen.

HERMAN MEVILLE
Moby Dick
There are certain queer times and occasions in this strange mixed affair we call life when a man takes this whole universe for a vast practical joke, though the wit thereof he but dimly discerns, and more than suspects that the joke is at nobody’s expense but his own.
--------------------
I know I have a 12-year-old's sense of humor most of the time and I've read Moby Dick twice, but also ... I cannot see or read the words "Moby Dick" without remembering Men On Books from In Living Color (1990):
Antoine Merriweather:
Now we come to our last book, which is my personal favorite. This one is called Moby Dick.
Blaine Edwards:
Open the portholes, there's a man overboard. I get goose pimply just thinking about that big Mister Moby.
Antoine:
Uh, red light. Uh, 'scuse me. Mister Moby is a whale.
Blaine:
I bet he is.
Antoine:
You know I really got wrapped up in this story. A man out on the open sea, danger lurking around every corner, and them all snuggled up in those tiny little cabins. Just made me want to hoist my sails and shove off with them.
Well, that's our show for tonight.
Blaine:
Yes, join us next week when we'll be reviewing some of Dickins.
Antoine:
Yes, we'll be talking about the classic A Tale of Two Cities.
Blaine:
I hope one of them is San Francisco.
Antoice:
Bye, bye.
