Rented Space’s Completely Classic and Strictly Business skirt suits with undershirts and stockings for AF

I only have boring bodyshop previews cause I’ve been a lot more inspired to make things for Sims atm than I am to go through the effort to actually play it or I’m worried I’ll completely lose myself to it again :/

I was a month or so ago years old when I realised that there was more to Rented Space’s 5th Avenue conversion set than is pictured in this post. How deprived my past self was. So then I realised that the Completely Classic Suit, and the Strictly Business Suit were within the ‘close enough’ range to work for my 1930’s game (Completely Classic’s skirt is too short but oh well). But like just about everything they needed stockings but also undershirts. I think Completely Classic’s jacket is too low not to have one for 30s daywear. And Strictly Business... it has a scarf. It just looks cold. So that’s what I have added to both the AF outfits and tops. And I offer them to you in case you wanted a bit more accurate looking mid-century-ish game or just any reason :)

The shirt texture I used for both is by Katsurin I can’t find where it is though, I think it might be a pre tumblr download. If anyone knows where it is that’d be great. EDIT: it’s here. There is a little bit of a range of colours on the tops for Completely Classic and not much on the outfits.

Completely Classic

A few little changes: I removed the brooches. I like the idea of them, but they were ugly in my opinion since they weren’t as realistic looking as the suit and therefore clashed. I also darkened the light blue suit a little bit (and maybe others? I can’t remember). And I added a pink recolour!

There is an issue with the mapping (I think?) or something and it was impossible for me to find how to cover the whole chest/neck area without leaving these little gaps. If anyone knows how to fix that you’re welcome to. It can’t really be seen unless it’s up close so it doesn’t bother me that much but it’s there.

The outfits are categorised as everyday and formal. The tops are just everyday. Meshes are included. Files are compressorized.

Strictly Business

I decreased the saturation on a few of the scarves cause they were too bright for the otherwise muted colours imo. I darkened the light blue and light tan suits as well. Idk about you but ever since I got a new laptop my game makes the light colours really over exposed and I have to darken everything. I gave these more opaque stockings so it would look warmer. The texture for which I was sure was from a pencil skirt by Io but now I can’t find that either and I’m starting to question myself.

This also has weird mapping and while it didn’t have gaps the wonkiness of the collar is really weird and this is the best I could get. It doesn’t bother me that much because it’s mostly covered by the scarf, but it’s there.

I do plan to copy-paste them for teens and elders but I’m not sure when that will be so if anyone else wants to do it that’s also fine by me.

Sorry, I've been MIA. But, I have been playing my Wilson family lately, and Mary grew up sooo beautifully. (as no surprise to me. ) Paul fell in love with townie Nicole Curry, Jonathan.. well "fell in love" with a few different girls. After getting close to adulthood, John, Paul, Nicole and the chosen husband for Mary, Marcus (Yes, they met once, and Mary isn't going to college, so I decided he would at least.) Paul and Nicole show their affection in between classes. John is currently dating Angelica here, who he has three bolts with. But, he is a romance sim, sooo who knows how far that'll go. Lol.

So, I started my new megahood, but I also started my own vintage BACC (Not really following any strict rules, just going to populate this hood started from one founder) meet, Betty Wilson. Isn’t she gorgeous? She’s a family sim, who cannot work, so she must survive off the land until she marries a man who can work. She met this guy (drawing a blank on his name.. typical) they hit it off, got engaged and married. As you can see, I tried taking wedding pictures with pose boxes, didn’t work. I’m terrible at them haha.
