Hi everyone, I would just like to bring awareness to how incredibly demeaning the 16 personalities test is. when I first found out about this test, my ex boyfriend told me about it and how accurate it was. I took and it and was astonished to see lots of aspects of my personality in it, but not everything was accurate. me and my ex later had a discussion about it. I was arguing that it wasn't accurate and u can't just rely on this test to know yourself; sure it might help u figure shit out but it shouldn't be your only source. and he argued that the test is extremely accurate all the time and that I was wrong. we were fine talking it out until he started to go on about how no one is really special, and u can put a label on everything because everyone fits a category- hense the test. I was personally offended by this comment given the fact that I didn't think I exactly fit into any of the categories. he continued to say that he'd met other people like me (enfps) and all of them dream big and always think they're special etc etc and dream too out of the box etc ect aren't rational. now to give a little bit of context- I want to be a mucisian when I grow up and he always told me there is no way I could make it, he was also incredibly selfish. but anyway this was my response to him: "yes, I'm a dreamer, yes I dream big, yes there r things in life I want so bad but I can't have. but u telling me that the ideas that make me happy are stupid and wrong is so incredibly stupid. sure I've thought about the reality of my dreams, don't try and tell me I haven't, but a little SUPPORT would be nice every now and then?! and this test is such bullshit. everyone is different in there own ways man. they might share similar qualities but no one is a perfect mix/match. u can't just go around putting labels on people who can't be labeled. people r too abstract and complex to figure out in that way. the words enfp mean nothing to me, but emma dalia does because it's me, not some website w a list of traits." now I'm sorry if I offended anyone with this post, but I just can't stand this test and I hope everyone knows how special they r no matter what comes up in that test score.
