Hanhan's Closet

(or, the best 7 dollars I have spent in a long time!)

I was engaged in one of my favorite relaxing pastimes - taking a bubble bath, sipping on a drink, and browsing Xianyu - when I happened across a listing for something I had never seen before:

The description was just "Han's Folding Closet", with no other details. The artwork caught my eye, as it is a distinctive style from a popular artist in the fandom. I could see Luffy, and a cute little towel-clothed Zhehan in the closet, and then another standee of Zhehan talking to Xiaoyu, who I recognized by his shark shirt. Super cute! I didn't know what was going on - was Xiaoyu lecturing Zhehan for letting Luffy eat his clothes? For walking around in a towel? Who knows? In it went into my cart. For 48 yuan, I figured I couldn't wrong.

The sale went through, and a week or two later, the standee showed up in my Superbuy warehouse.

I zoomed in to the warehouse photos, and saw some VERY pertinent details that I had failed to notice while drinking on the single small sales pic on Xianyu.

I was like, WAIT a second! there's only one beauty mark on the standee in the closet...that's not Zhehan, it's GONG JUN. And then I just started laughing. Luffy has Gong Jun's underwear. Junjun has two very visible hickeys, and some nervous sweat there in his hair. Nobody is getting dressed and sneaking out here!

Zhehan also has two hickeys! No wonder Xiaoyu is wondering who exactly is hiding in Zhehan's closet!

I have not laughed this hard in a long time. This whole concept is totally and completely obvious (like so obvious) once I was actually looking at it in detail, but I had gone in expecting it to just be a standee with some cute artwork of Zhehan. So the surprise of it being this slyly delightful Junzhe sendup just made it fantastic.

I was a little concerned it would get scratched up during shipping, so I had it wrapped up in a bubble wrap envelope, and mailed it out.

I got a couple extra surprises when I received this here at my house - one, that it was huge. Way bigger than I expected! I had thought originally it was just a cute small standee, but it's a full-on doll wardrobe stand.

The second was that, unfortunately, the bubble wrap envelope was insufficient to protect it from being placed on top of other items and getting bent during transport. So I have a slight crack at the top of the closet standee part. What a bummer! I glued it, and it seems to be no problem - the clothes-hanging integrity seems to be just fine.

Measurement wise, it's 16.5 inches (42 cm) long, 6 inches (15.5 cm) wide, and 8.5 inches (22 cm) tall.

Here's the right side. As you can see, the doors don't function or anything, it's just a single printed flat piece of acrylic.

Now let's take a look with actual clothes hanging up! Since this is Zhehan's closet, I put a few of his 20cm doll outfits inside. As you can see, there's plenty of room. If I wanted to hide Junjun a bit, even more room.

Hahaha! I can't stop laughing at it! It's so much fun! Due to the sheer size, I put it up on top of my fig display cabinet, and I will indeed keep clothes hanging on it.

Hmm. I think it'd be pretty cute to have Junjun mostly hidden by the clothes, with just a little eye or something peeking out.

Can you please do headcanons of Leona, Vil, Malleus, Rook and Idia (separately ofc) when their s/o handmade them a very very beautiful and detailed 15.5 inches BJD (Ball Jointed Doll). The doll is hand painted and the clothes are all hand sewn too and it looks like them.

Very impressed. He hasn’t quite reached the level of fame that makes people want figurines of him or anything like that in their home, so he hasn’t seen something like that before. He thinks it’s quite the gift, and asks you where you got such a thing

When you tell him you made it yourself he’s damn proud. Of course his darling would be so skilled, look at that gorgeous craftsmanship! He kisses you on the forehead and tells you he’ll cherish it.

Malleus Draconia

Oh, a doll? One of him, too, such a perfect copy. He wonders if that’s something commonly given to others in your culture, and he asks you about it with a pleased smile, finger carefully tracing the sculpted horns of the doll.

He already loved the gift just from it being well-made and coming from you, but once he knows you’ve put your time and effort into making it, it becomes his most prized possession. He tells you with a smile that you’ve done a lovely job, and places it in his nightstand... encased in a glass box, so it never gets damaged.

Rook Hunt

You’re finally giving him that doll! ...what, of course he already knew you were making it for him. He’s seen you working on it in fact! He just wanted to wait until you handed it to him to not ruin your moment.

Rest assured, he does love it. It’s so beautifully made, down to every detail! You got the feather on his hat down. It’s unlike anything he’s ever seen, a gift more heartfelt than-- Rook won’t stop singing praises about your work, holding the doll close to his chest.

You spent that much time thinking about him, all that effort into building something based off him? The 2nd oldest toy owned by playtime co.she was manufactured by another company who collaborated with playtime co.known as Merrymakers co.from japan.she was previously a Zashiki (tea carrying)karakuri doll back in the 1875 but she is recreated out of a harmless experiment to turn her into a articulated karakuri doll in the 90's,in a way she is an entertainment doll similar to key dolls but the difference is that she can do tricks for her viewers,she was popular toy in the 90's as she is a the third most popular toy for girls.

Appearance:

She is a paled looking doll with honey brown eyes & used to be an ordinary karakuri doll,she served & owned by one of the daimyo's wifes & was used for entertainment however,years passed & she was given to another owner who turns out to be the son of a famous toy maker,she was a special antique mechanical doll in which her owner likes about it as he is fond of karakuri dolls.

Since her kind was unique,the mother of her owner recreated her into a first articulated karakuri doll where she can do various more tricks for her owner & everyone.she was the first articulated doll to be made & remaked into a new one.

Her previous appearance & structure was different as she look any other karakuri doll

However after her recreation,she now a breathtaking beauty & taller by inch.,snow white skin,plum pink lips,navish black hair with a red ribbon & unique knee length kimono with a corset,her dress was colored like a miko colors,She wore mid heeled sandals.

Her eyes however was an accidental but surprisingly well liked because her eyes was supposed to be both greens but it turns out to be mismatched by accident, when one of the workers made a mistake on putting a wrong eye on the left, however the owner of the co.actually liked it because heterochromia was a lore around japan, especially in anime.

So her eyes became the signature look for many anime lovers, especially of it was rozen maiden because her eyes reminded them of the two twin dolls who had the same eye colors as her.

Personality:

She is elegant,graceful,quite,nimble,kind,timid & shy,odd but fearless, cautious & keenly sharp around her surroundings as she is a side character in the game & au story,miyabi was an enigmatic doll that roamed around her own,it wasn't classified if she was an experiment or not as she wasn't mentioned in any tapes but mommy long legs seems to know her a bit as she sometimes said something like"ah~ if it isn't little'spirit'! Where have you been this whole time?" Or "hmph! You always be the lucky one as you didn't suffer the same as us! & Yet-"

There's a slight indication that her origins of being able to be sentient like the rest was far too different than the rests of them.

Story:

After the factory closed down,she had escaped through the players bag around earlier years in order to help poppy but she had to wait for the right time.

Before the player left,she sneaked into their bag & had successfully escaped the place & was found later on by the player who was baffled & planning to return her but a note in her pocket is found by the player who he thought was written one of his old co-workers when in reality it was her as she needs a refuge until she can contact poppy once more in later years,waiting for poppy to contact her.

Chapter 1

In the first chapter she was only mentioned by the player when they came back to the factory when poppy's letter arrived,she was hidden in the backpack of the player until she manage to meet up with some toys who can tell her where poppy was.

Chapter 2

She now plays a key role in the game as she managed to get some help from kissy missy to find poppy & retrieve her from mommy long legs-

In which explains who silenced her at the end for the time being as well but she is still alive.

Playtime tales:New Game

Miyabi story & origins came to light in the Poppy Playtime au where it reveals that she was a vessel used by a spirit who accidentally transmigrated into the doll's body & was given a mission to help the player.

Abilities:

Seismic sense:due to not being able to see well in the dark,she relies on her heightened senses to move around,just like toph from avatar.

Telekinesis:her telekinetic ability was powerful for her size but not powerful as an esper one,if the player is is need of assistance.her powers came into a handy for some tasks.

Trivia:

Her name is actually from the traditional tea ceremonial arts,it also fits her elegant appearance as she looks sometimes dainty.

Her recreated design around thar time as it was supposed to be out around 1955 but it took a meticulous time

She can be heard following the player from beside or behind if you listened closely

Her body isn't much organic but she is a vessel for an unkown soul that transmigrated in the game by accident.

Like A hes mtm Beautiful fully articulated B his face is nice and strong like how i imagine krolock would look (under all the makeup)

Down side his hair is partly flocked so i dont think theres holes for hair on the underside of his head so i would have to put in them myself

Also downside, ive never done a reroot of a doll before, so like not The Best beginner project. But Wouldnt have to do much on the face i think, just add the heavy makeup, i would keep the eyes but change the brows thou

Oh!! I wanna do some from bat out of hell!! I have a 15.5 inch Gene doll that really reminds me of Sloane. Like its taking all my engery to fight myself from not adding gold bits and cutting off the back fold of her dress so it looks like her finale costume. Like its a Collector's Piece so like dont wanna "ruin it" by customizing it. Like Urg its so similar to her outfit! She even has red hair! I love her. No elbows or knees but i can overlook that. Would really like a falco to go with her but gonna be so fucking hard to find a male doll to go with her

Maybe I’ll waste some time looking for pants that I won’t find, not that I didn’t just drop a bunch of $$ on dolls.

So I went and measured myself again because I haven’t recently and I have lost 40 lbs in the past year.

40lbs isn’t much of a difference in measurements, really, except for my thighs. I still have disproportionately thick legs. Pretty sure I’m stuck with that just like I’m stuck with the “I gained 40 lbs while pregnant” arm wings.

Smaller thighs makes finding pants a little easier than before when my thighs were as big around as my waist, but there’s still that 10-inch waist-to-hip, 0% of which is butt because my disabled ass sits all the time, and that’s the hardest part to accommodate. And pants makers seem to think smaller waist = smaller everything and that’s simply not true for me.

I’d try some Apple Bottoms, but those are for people with butts. I have no butt.

I should just take these to the tailor in town and make it her problem, but I only own one pair of pants...
