Look, I can see deacon/Jennifer as either platonic or romantic in most of their scenes, but THIS one? Where he hands her the detonator? Peak romance. He's like "my baby can kill Hitler, as a treat."

Did we just save Hitler?! Maybe not.

☠️ Dastdeaths (spoilers) ⚰️
9. Intruders (2014) - Oz Turner (shotgun to the face)
Tumblr media
Think of it, this one's pretty tragic too. The poor guy just wanted to do his broadcasting, his conspiracy theory. Or whatever. I only watched this once and will only do it again to make gifs at some point, don't want to see Eleven drown a cat again.
(John Simm looked as hot as I remembered)
10. CSI (2014) - Lee Crosby (killed offscreen)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gonna be honest, watched this only once also. I think he was an ex-con in a chess tournament? Wait, when did this become a review post?
He's so skinny he looks like Jude with a beard. I guess it was filmed right after Animals.
11. A Killer of Men (2015) - Denham (shot in the neck)
Tumblr media
Eh. Grimy bride.
12. The Balcony (2016) - David the Agent (uhhh curse?? karma?)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lol he just falls and explodes. I really like this one too, it's pretty creative and fun in a Final Destination way.
13. 12 Monkeys (2016) - Kyle Slade (another shotgun to the face)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Guess I'll refrain from commenting, it was so confusing watching 2 random episodes of a show on its second season. But I don't think Kyle was all bad? I'll rewatch it sometime.
Wait, I'm reviewing again, what's wrong with me today? I don't even like doing reviews.
14. The Belko Experiment (2016) - Alonzo (impaled in the back of the neck)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Poor wet boy was just scared. Then feral. At least he got to die beside his buddy Bud. Who he killed.

oh man I did not realize how angry people were about the selfcest in loki. I LOVED it. I also tbh thought Loki may have seen Mobius as a father figure, the fact he's even got two sons, one who is a trouble maker and is younger, the other who is a BIT more responsible. THE PARALLELS DIDN'T GO UNNOTICED.
I missed all the trailers for the show, so if they were queerbaiting it went right over my head.
Sylvie and Loki were so cute, but so sad. You could tell they were very much at different points of their own stories, but still very much Loki. That terror she felt of opening up and perceiving betrayal.
But what I REALLY love is how every line they say to each other can also be taken as things they actually feel about themselves.
If Sylvie had just been anyone, Loki wouldn't have fallen in love, and I think the same is true for Sylvie. "I just want you to be okay", that was so meaningful AND can still be taken as Loki talking about himself especially after he's said he's been where she's been.
"I'm not you" she says and kicks him through the door, but it absolutely resonated because they ARE each other, and they DO KNOW one another and it's so tragic.
I LOOOOVE it. I love how desperately she wants to keep her life and choices and how paranoid she is. She never craved a throne because she never even had a chance to be IN that story, she craved having a life, being loved, everything that was taken from her.
But there's a special kind of loneliness for people who don't have a timeline anymore, and can only find love in themselves, too.
It's just... Ugh I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE GENDERBEND SELFCEST SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!
Sylvie GO CLIMB THAT TREE!!!!

EGGHEAD ANIME EPISODE 1092 SPOILERS (I am only caught up to the anime with a few tidbits of further info so no spoilers please or I will block)
There's something sweet about Luffy trying to be nicer to Bonney, with him feeling bad about upsetting her and apologizing for getting her name wrong. And in the newest episode, he protects her and only questions why she stopped him from punching the kuma pacifista instead of usually getting mad
I think it speaks to Luffy's emotional intelligence that he barely knows anything about Bonney at this point and is still doing random shit on the island, but understands right now she's hurting and tries to respond to that a bit better. It actually reminds me of his friendship with Tama if anything

I like the theory that Loki is stuck in a time loop in the TVA and if that’s the case, this episode should have been called The Bad Ending because apparently they made all the wrong choices on this little pre-written choose your own adventure and I hope the next episode Loki will start back at the beginning of it when he first comes to the TVA.
Honestly, if the ending twist is that a Kang is still controlling all of this and they just THINK this is free will, I would not be surprised. The whole show is giving 12 Monkeys vibes and it would lead fantastically into Kang Dynasty.
Loki to Sylvie: we have free will now which means we get to choose and we have to choose to fix this!
Kang and OB, Probably: *evil laughter*

This THIS THIS THIS THIIIIIIS!!! This is why this show is like, one of the best shows EVER. The way they tie things together, and the references and just...ALL of it. And you CANNOT watch it just once. You just can't. I've already watched it FOUR times, and I swear I'd do it again!
I rewatched episode 9 of season 1 of 12 Monkeys and then leaped to episode 9 of season 4. And god, it's such a perfect circle and the continuity is glorious.
I don't know if Terry Matalas and the other writers planned it this way but in season 1, episode 9 (Tomorrow) Cole is trapped in 2017 and meets this version of Cassie:
Tumblr media
And the first time I watched it, I thought it was because Cassie grew older, that would make sense right?
But then after watching the whole series I realized, no, no that's not the reason. The reason why Cassie has the white streak is that this Cassie has already been to the future and splintered several times!
Tumblr media
Cassie got the white streak in her hair from grappling with this medieval dude in season 4 to get the weapon.
Season 1!Cole is still so... not innocent but he doesn't know what he has in his future, he still thinks it's as easy as stopping one person.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cassie mentions how his mission in Chechnya felt like a million years ago because, for Cassie, it has. She's been through too much. She has done something so unbelievably terrible.
Tumblr media
Cassie tells Cole: "A lot has happened since then... with you and me."
Understatement of the century.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Because to their very horror, the whole mission they've set their whole life fighting against. Stopping the plague, saving the billions of lives lost, and to be faced with the heart-stopping realization that they were the ones who start the plague.
Even more horrific for Cassie is the realization that she is the one who has triggered it. She sacrificed so much to stop the plague from happening and to know the horror as a Doctor, whose whole mission in life is to stop it...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then to compound horror upon horror is the realization that Cole himself has to be erased so they can reset the whole timeline. It's just...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Time has already made a murdered of Cassie, and now time is taking away the only other person she loves the most.
Tumblr media
This is why this back in season 1, episode 9 this hug meant everything to Cassie:
Tumblr media
For Cassie she has loved and lost him already, she is the version who returns to this moment to set up everything that needs to be set-up to complete the causality of a time loop.
Like now with the benefit of hindsight:
Tumblr media
"I thought it was over... and that you were erased."
Because Cole hasn't gone on the splinter chair yet to be erased, this timeline is still going because, in the future, Cole still existed. And Cassie is here in her present-past.
And it also makes so much sense why she's sick because she was that close to the pathogen, this is why she dies. And this version of Cassie is the body past!Cole will find it in the pilot episode.
It's all so cyclical and interconnected and it's just so chef's kiss.
Best. Time. Travel. Show. Ever.

As a 12 Monkeys fan I loved that the latest episode of Star Trek Picard had Todd Stashwick tell us one of Jack Crusher's alias was James Cole while Aaron Stanford shows up as a Ferengi who has a drug called splinter.

Can you imagine that happening on the Titan though?  Subspace Anomaly: -causes everyone to sing at random intervals- Shaw: Aw hell no, we’re not doing this 😡 Me: -knowing full well that Todd can carry a tune because he sings during 12 Monkeys-

Intersecting fandoms - was I the only one who gasped a little when Afuko did this bit in a bad French accent "Table for 12 please. Last name Picard"

Last season on Picard, Terry Matalas brought in James Callis as part of the cast. And there was mention of the Markridge Tower. This season, we have Todd Stashwick as part of the main cast. In Imposters, we had Kirk Acevedo in a guest appearance. And the visions Jack is having are reminding me of the red forest and the red storm. This isn't just a TNG reunion for this final season, it's also an unofficial 12 Monkeys reunion! Maybe the changelings stole Dr. Katarina Jones splinter machine from the Daystrom Institute.
Update: Wait! I'm seeing Aaron Stanford was Sneed?!!
