(3rd person update)

Once Christina and Jeb were stuck at the hospital, the Talbert children went “wild”.

Betty and Marvin *gasp* hugged before marriage!!

Harvey drank directly from the punch bowl while Glenn and Kayla stole a bunch of food.

Christian invited Tyrell over, and the two talked about things other than Jesus! They even spoke to... a working woman! Who was wearing pants!!1!!!1

Julie danced.

Lovell stole the microphone and started singing. Luckily, Irene was able to crank up the volume on that violin.

Daniel eavesdropped on everybody to make sure nothing suspicious was going on. Which is what he normally does, and is entirely Christina-approved, so... good job not going off the Jesus rails, Daniel.

Eve, however, brazenly spoke to unmarried young men without a chaperone!

Naomi crawled outside and napped on some leaves. Again, not wild or reckless even by Talbert standards, but somebody should really have kept an eye on the toddlers or something.

Ann certainly didn’t. Her and Max are both Romantic, so they were much too busy playing tonsil hockey to notice anything going on around them.

At one point, she wasn’t even around to witness most of it.

Abigail, however, was present for the entire reception, so it’s only a matter of time before some of this gets back to Christina...

To our great surprise, Lovell sat us down and announced he was leaving us!! He feels that, because he is a young man now with his own money and income, it was time for him to find a place of his own!! It’s very sad that he isn’t moving out with a wife, but I’m sure an independent man with his own house and a steady income will attract plenty of good Christian girls!!! We gave him a tearful farewell and promised to pray for him while he’s out on his own!!!

Oh, the trials of learning!!! Little Yvette made breakfast for the first time, and she set the stove on fire!!! I can forgive that, but I cannot forgive what happened next!!!

Phoebe and Naomi put out the fire!!! I always tell my children that, in a fire, girls grab the children while boys fight the fire, but my young ladies threw aside all my teachings!!! They later told me it was because they “panicked” because the men were all “upstairs” and they were “afraid” the kitchen would “burn down”, but I’m not hearing it!!!! Jeb’s right - I need to do better disciplining my children!!!

I sent them straight to the Prayer Wall and gave them a very harsh lecture!!! They seemed very regretful during their prayers, so I think it worked!!! Amen!!!

(3rd person update. TL;DR everyone got a new hobby.)

Guess who couldn’t pay their bills?

The money Jeb made at work gave them enough to pay, but he is not happy. He starts to gather all his sons Teen and older, only to realize Lovell is the only one still at home. He curses out Harvey and Glenn for using their money to move out and leave them alone with the bills, because it’s totally their fault that nobody told them their parents were struggling financially.

Anyways, Jeb and Christina agree on a new household rule: all girls Teen and up must pursue a “productive” (money-making) hobby, and all boys Teen and up must pursue a “productive” hobby and/or get a job.

Music is not productive, so Lovell gets a job at Sim-Fil-A. He finds that a 5-9 job leaves him the rest of the day to write his Dramatic Ballads.

Christina and Irene already make flowers, and now Kayla joins them.

Naomi gardens and takes pictures.

Naomi also convinced Irene to spend her latest royalty paycheck on a bee box.

Rather than pick up a hobby, Julie takes on the “jobs” of maid and nanny. The child aged girls do most of the cleaning and laundry already, so that’s fine, but now every toddler is the responsibility of Julie and Julie alone. Julie, who is Family-Oriented, has a Super Parent aspiration, and is a Family Sim, is very happy with that.

Mary takes up painting.

It all leaves the R&S twins with plenty of time to do their own recreational activities.

Like fishing. Even though they aren’t required to help out with money, Shane and Pine Tree happily go fishing anyways.

They aren’t like the other kids, who choose fun and personal fulfillment over making money. Selfish brats.

At least Jeb won a chance card.

All I pray for is a single day where this sinful child gives me no trouble!!!! When Rose came downstairs with short hair, I just about met Jesus on the spot!!!

It’s a very even cut, which makes me think she had a partner in crime!!! I demanded to know who, but she just gave me very rude replies!!! We have such long talks about having a submissive and Godly spirit, and none of it ever gets through!!!!

Unfortunately, we simply don’t have the money for a wig, so I have no choice but to wait for it to grow back!!! Why must He test me so???

I’m not the only Talbert with strife in my life!!! Lovell and Damien Young had quite an argument, so now it’s just Lovell and Moony Caliente in Eyes of God!!! Pray they find a new third soon!!!!

Some events are sorrowful for all of us!!!! Today, Harvey moves out!!! He finally has enough money to buy a starter home in Sulani!!! That’s the farthest any of my babies have moved, but he insists that God created him to spread His word to islanders!!! God bless!!! I’ll miss him terribly, but a mama can’t keep her babies with her forever!!!

Especially my older girls!!!! Jeb seemed happier than usual today, and when Julie came home telling me Kirk proposed to her I understood why!!! Praise the Lord for sending a good Christian boy like Kirk to our Julie!!!! Amen!!!!

Ann is such a good sister!!! She taught Lovell how to walk before I even realized it was his second birthday!!!

Imagine my surprise when a strange boy appeared asking for Frank!! Turns out, his name is Rodney Bishop and he’s a friend of Frank’s from church!! I’m absolutely delighted to see our little ones forming Godly bonds!!!!! Apparently, Frank and Rodney are Best Friends Forever!!!!

Daniel is a gift that keeps on giving!! He’s gone from fixing broken plumbing to upgrading working plumbing!!! I'm so proud of him for learning an important life skill before he’s even a teenager!!!!

I had hoped that, with Daniel too busy to play with her, Eve would focus more of her time on learning her important life skills!! But instead of cleaning or potty training, she started playing with Glenn instead!!!! I hear Glenn has the unfortunate habit of flipping the chess table over in a rage, so I hope that will convince Eve that potty training the littles is a better use of her time!!!

Irene’s taking up gardening!!! She has quite the interest in growing and arranging flowers, just like her mama!!! I think this is a God-given opportunity to spend time with her and teach her about the meek and obedient spirit God wants her to have!!!!!! Pray it goes well!!!!

Betty and Irene have truly invoked the wrath of God!!!!! When our bills came, we realized we were hundreds of simoleons short!!!!!!!

God doesn’t want us ladies to work, so I sent the boys to the river. I pray they can solve our financial troubles!!!!!

Meanwhile, I sent Betty and Irene to repent and pray for forgiveness!! It broke this mama’s heart to see them cry, but those that stray from God’s path must be punished!!!!

I was worried the stress would hurt the baby, but he was declared healthy!!! As I held the bubbly, pink-cheeked blessing, I felt God soothe my spirit and His calmness washed over me. I knew right then that everything would be alright, and I was in tears as I prayed to thank the Lord for His generous mercy!!!!!!!!

I felt greatly compelled to name our little one after God’s love, but Love seemed too feminine, so I named him Lovell!!

In my free time, I enjoy flower arranging, so now Rose gets to do it, too!!! She’s moody and silent, but at least she’s silent!!! Knowing how to close her mouth and bow her head is the first step towards becoming the Godly young woman she’s meant to be!!!! I truly believe this is the dawn of change, and I feel so joyous!!!!

Shane, not so much!!! He used to love doing laundry and scrubbing counters, but when it’s the toilet he’s cleaning suddenly the fake tears start up!!! If he doesn’t get close and personal with the damage he caused, how will he ever learn to not do it again?!

Tanny and Xavier are such little archeologists!!! First it was just Tanny, but now he’s teaching little Xavier!!! Selling the things they find is a great way for these young men to start earning money AND get used to working with their hands!!!!

For a man that insists he needs no one, Lovell sure loves to hang out with Moony!!! Moony is at our house just about every day, singing and playing instruments with Lovell!!! It’s cute to watch prideful, stubborn Lovell refuse to admit he actually has a friend, L.O.L.!!!!

Where do you go from Z? Back to A!!! God blessed me with a little boy, so I named him Aaron!!! My last A baby was a graceful and feminine woman of God, and this time it’s a strong and masculine man of God!!!! I can already tell he’ll be as manly as Ann was womanly!!!

I worry for poor Lovell!! He and Moony Caliente have been the only consistent members of Eyes of God!!!! At this point, there aren’t any musically inclined Christian teen boys left to recruit!!! Lovell insists that’s fine and he can make it by himself, but it’s still disappointing to see him refuse to get along with anybody but Moony (and frankly, those two barely get along!!!)!!!

Little Winona has taken an interest in exercise, so naturally she asked strong, athletic Oliver for advice!! Instead of helping, he put her through training dramatically unfit for little girls and insulted her the whole time!!! My poor little baby was in tears!!!!

I had a very firm discussion with him afterwards!!! He mocked the both of us and said that girls were too weak for “real” exercise!! While it’s true that women are much weaker than men and shouldn’t be pursuing extreme exercise, it’s also true that God wants us to pursue a moderate and healthy amount of exercise so we can stay trim and attractive to our husbands!!! Winona being too feminine and delicate for the monkey bars doesn’t mean she should never go on a jog!!! Oliver was just being cruel, and I’ll make sure Jeb has an even firmer talk with him!!!

I could tell Abigail had something to tell me, so we chatted after our celebration. Imagine my horror at hearing what my children did while I was birthing the twins!!!!! As soon as I got home, I rounded them up for their punishments!!!!!

...Except for Betty!! While I’m very disappointed in her for hugging Marvin before marriage, Abigail assured me that they still left room for Jesus and that Betty shouldn’t be punished too harshly! So I gave her a talk and sent her on her way.

I sat Harvey down to speak with him. Because he’s a man, I must have Jeb punish him so his masculine authority isn’t undermined, but I still gave him a stern talk about never drinking straight from public punch bowls!!

Julie, however, was spared no expense!!!!! I tried so hard to teach her that modern dances seduce Satan, yet Abigail told me she was out there wiggling her hips and flailing her arms!!!! I’m so ashamed!!!! As punishment, I’m hiding the radio until she learns to control her dancing!!!!!

Glenn and Kayla were lectured together!!!! I let Glenn go early to speak with Jeb, but not until after I explained to both of them that greed, gluttony, and kleptomania are horrible sins that should never be entertained!!!!! I’m... not actually sure what Kayla’s hobbies are, so I banned her from all forms of recreation except praying and reading her children’s bible!!!!

And lastly Christian!!!! Abigail never mentioned him by name, but who else would invite that atheist boy to the wedding?!?! After expressing that I am in fact both mad and disappointed, I sent him to Jeb!!!!

Jeb was surprised when I brought our boys in and explained what happened!!!! He told me that I took the right steps to discipline our girls, but he wants to pray on this matter before punishing our boys!!!!

For now, our boys won’t be punished until Jeb has received God’s guidance!! I trust that He will give Jeb wisdom on this matter, and until He does our boys will live their lives as normal!!

I’d love to say that Eve made an amazing cake, but she didn’t make any cakes at all!!! This time, the honor went to Kayla!!!! She’s becoming such a good chef and I couldn’t be prouder!!!!

There were multiple cakes, so both of the lovely couples got their special moment!!!

Irene and Lovell both had the honor of playing at the wedding, and despite having different instruments they sounded quite nice!!!

The couples had such romantic first dances with each other!!!

Even Eve and Catherine danced (NOT romantically, of course!!!)!!! It was certainly... questionable, but they left room for Jesus and had their husband’s approval so I had no right to discipline them!!!

All in all, the reception was wonderful!!! God bless the new couples as they live the rest of their lives together!!!! Amen!!!

Oliver is such a resilient boy!!! He’s on those bars even during a blizzard!!!

Unfortunately, he’s also resilient to a change in attitude!!! Jeb assured me the two had a talk, but Oliver still insists on going around insulting everybody!!! I’ve received multiple complaints but had yet to see it, and to be honest I was starting to wonder if all of my children had agreed to trick me into thinking poorly of Oliver!!!

Then Oliver insulted Lovell!!! Lovell usually sticks to his room, playing guitar, so I always thought of him as a quiet sort of boy!! Instead, he yelled and insulted Oliver right back, causing an argument so loud I could hear it from the second floor!!!

Luckily, Jeb was home, so I sent him right up to speak with his sons!! He says that Lovell and Oliver will be more calm and Godly now!!! Amen!!!!

Sometimes I feel as if God has cursed me!!! Christian and the triplets are all young adults with zero courtships!!! I pray that Christian will call with that special announcement, but he never does!!! I pray Glenn will get over Nicola and find a new girl, but he won’t!!! I pray that Harvey agrees to date the girls I send his way, but he refuses!!!

And Irene... oh, Irene!!!! She’s so obsessed with her silly violin that she can’t see how old she’s becoming!!! She is 19 years old already and isn’t getting any younger!!!!! If she keeps refusing to enter a courtship, she’ll end up an old maid and won’t be able to embrace God’s greatest blessing to women - children!!!! If she doesn’t have a man by her twenties, I’ll be forced to ban her violin until she does!!!!

Even Julie’s entered a courtship before any of them!!!! Just today, Jeb approved a match between Julie and a church boy named Kirk Rogers!!! Courtship’s so easy, yet I have four children (!!) that just won’t do it!!!

Courtships aren’t the end of my woes!!! Ever since the “laundry incident”, Naomi has been terrified of going near the laundry room!!! I’ve been trying to gently explain to her that her fears are from the Devil and that by refusing to do laundry she’s giving in to sin, but it just makes her more upset!!! Julie and Mary usually do laundry with her, so I’ll have them talk to Naomi and pray they’re able to speak God back into Naomi’s heart!!!!

You would think that, at her age, Naomi would remember to change the lint tray!! Apparently not!!

I’m so proud of my brave children!!! Harvey and Lovell extinguished the fire while Kayla and Irene called the fire department!!!

Praise the Lord that everybody got out alive!!!! Naomi is a little toasty, but it’s nothing serious and she’ll be right as rain after a bath!!!

Naturally, she was assigned to clean up the floor!! How else will she learn to change the lint tray?!

Talk about boys being boys!!!! Little Naomi took a picture of Lovell (above - isn’t she such a good photographer?!) and he chased her around the house for it!!! I wish I had a picture of THAT, L.O.L.!!!!

Unfortunately, Shane doesn’t seem to understand that BOYS should be BOYS!!! I caught him playing dolls with Rose!!! I immediately took the toys away and gave him a firm lecture (but not too firm - last thing I need is to undermine his natural male authority and make the problem worse!!!)!!

At least Harvey is well behaved!!! He’s moved away from Satanic pursuits like Mixology and moved towards geography!!! He bought a globe with his own money and is often standing around it whistling innocently!!! What a wonderful child of God!!!

They also say girls will be girls, and I couldn’t be prouder of my third girl!!! In a true display of femininity, Eve has mastered her Cooking skill!!! She’s a born homemaker and I’m sure Cordell (if he proposes soon!) will greatly appreciate it!!!!

Little Lovell is becoming quite the musician!!! He says he wants to be a rock star that sings songs glorifying God!! I told him it’s very unlikely that he’ll make it, but the dream is cute!! I love to listen as he sings his praises to our Lord and Savior, and I’m sure he’ll be a wonderful addition to a church choir one day!!!

After much prayer, Frank announced that he feels led by the Lord to pursue acting!! He says he wants to help create Christ-honoring movies and shows!! I’m against it, as Hell-ywood is full of sin!!! Frank is a good and innocent boy - he’ll be tricked and seduced by Satan’s lifestyle and fall away from God!!!!

At least Irene is living a life that fully glorifies God!!!! She and a few young ladies from church have started the Violinists Freeing the Damned group, V.F.D. for short, and their goal is to bring Jesus to others through music!!! I think it’s a wonderful hobby to take up before she’s married!!! Perhaps Lovell can keep it going once Irene is a married mother :-D

Eve is to be congratulated yet again!! While at church, a young man named Cordell Greer asked for our permission to court Eve!! We were starting to worry she may never find another man, so we were happy to approve!! Unlike that horrible Dayton, Cordell is a take-charge young man and a TRUE believer in God!! I feel confident that this is the young man Eve was created for, but only time can tell us for sure!!!

Christfest spirit is in the air!!! As good Christians, we don’t believe in blasphemous rituals like “Father Winter”, “Opening Presents”, and “Devil-Approved Self Love”!!! We believe in celebrating the true reason for the season - Jesus!!!!! We celebrate our Lord and Savior by reading from the Bible, adorning our homes with His image, and being thankful for all that He has done for us!!

The reception was beautiful!! Irene and Lovell are so talented and the room was filled with their God-honoring music!!!

As usual, Eve’s cakes are wonderful!!! I was surprised to see a burger cake, but apparently the new Mr. and Mrs. Hubbard really wanted it!! I dearly hope that Betty won’t fall back into her old ways, but now that she belongs to Marvin it’s up to him (and Him, L.O.L.!!!) how she lives her life :-( As her mama, all I can do is tell her what the right path is and hope that God and Marvin lead her down it!!!

I’m so blessed to have a friend like Abigail!!! She was an absolute angel with the toddlers - no wonder her own children grew up into such Godly and wonderful young men and women!!!

I kept Kayla and Glenn close to make sure no theft happened!!! The only sticky fingers God wants us to have is from the chocolate-covered strawberries!!!

Jeb found time to have a nice, Godly chat with Walter and Marvin!! I hope Jeb and Walter become friends - wouldn’t it be wonderful if Abigail and mine’s husbands became as close as we are???

I’m truly blessed to have such a kindhearted son like Christian!! Whenever someone wandered upstairs, he witnessed to them!!! God never sleeps, and neither does Christian’s thirst for converts!!!! Amen!!!
