A strange man shows up on the doorstep of Varric's estate.

“How is the vagrant you brought into your home last night?” Cassandra inquires, likely intending to be casual but her probing eyes betray her.

Varric grunts. “Word gets around fast, huh?”

“Every whisper on every tongue is about your grand heroics,” Cassandra confirms, “as well as a troubling rumor.”

“And what would that be?” Varric asks, aware of the answer.

“That your vagrant is a mage.”

Varric shrugs. “Nothing to worry about, Duchess.”

“Is that all you have to say?”

“It is.”

Cassandra squints. “I do hope you know what you are doing, Lord Kirkwall.”

“You may enter,” a voice responds to Varric knocking, so he opens the door and steps inside. His guest is seated at the writing desk, seemingly unoccupied.

“There are more comfortable places to sit,” Varric suggests.

The man smiles. “The desk is more familiar,” he says. “I must thank you for your generosity, Viscount Kirkwall. I do not know of many who would take in a stranger fallen on their doorstep.”

“It was nothing.”

“It is noble.”

Varric shifts. “Right. And since you know me, who are you?”

“Solas Farkas,” the man replies, “no title. I hail from a faraway village absent from most maps.”

(Interesting.) “Well, then, Mister Farkas, would you like some tea?”

Solas stands, and Varric realizes he’s in the same clothes from last night, cleaner than a maid could achieve. There must be more to magic than fireworks.

“I will sit with you, if that is what you ask of me,” Solas says.

Varric notices Solas’ slight grimace as the tea passes his lips. He grins. “Not to your taste?”

Solas sets his cup down. “It would be difficult.”

Varric’s instinct is to pry, but he has a pressing rumor to address and a duchess to get off his back. “So…there’s talk of you being a mage.”

Solas’ eyebrows raise with apparent curiosity, or maybe amusement. “Is there?”

“There is.”

“I will tell you what you’d like to know if you answer my own question.”

Varric admires the audacity. “Sounds fair to me. Ask away.”

“What led you to inherit your title? I have heard the ascension was rather sudden.”

Varric pauses. He taps the rim of his cup. “Circumstances, Mister Farkas,” he says firmly, “circumstances.”

Solas nods. “I see. As promised, I am indeed a mage. I utilize my magic to explore the world beyond.”

“Is that so?”

“Yes. Mages owe our abilities to the Fade—you may have heard of it.”

Varric has. “Unlikely.” He leans forward in Solas’ direction. “And what was a mage doing on my doorstep last night?”

Solas exhales quietly enough to hardly qualify as a sigh. “Hunger. Thirst. Exhaustion. The road alone is difficult, My Lord.”

“I imagine.”

“If it is alright with you, may I retire for the night? I will take my leave in the morning.”

Varric sits back in his chair. “You’re free to go, and I won’t stop you from staying for breakfast.”

Solas smiles. “Thank you, My Lord.”

10 20 Favorite Photos of 2024

For me, in the world of photography, last year was all about growth. I got new gear (mainly my Fujifilm X-T5), expanded my photography to full spectrum, and worked to incorporate photography into my life in new ways.

Looking back, it's hard to believe I took all of these photos in one year. I'll put together some stats in another post.

What's included?

I had to narrow down my selections a lot. Only photos I feel comfortable sharing with everyone are here. I took lots of photos of friends and family this year that are not included. However, those were some of my favorite photos, if I took any of you, you know who you are.

1. Out over the Suburbs

Location: Tysons Metro, Tysons, Virginia Camera: Fujifilm X-T2 Lens: Viltrox 27mm f/1.2 Settings: 1/80 sec, f/4, ISO 640

I absolute love the gloomy, dystopian vibe of this blue hour photo. The Tysons metro is such a bustling little outpost in NoVa. This feels a little cyberpunk, a little noir, a little [GX]Ace. I'll absolutely be striving to shoot more like this in 2025.

2. Awe

Location: Penn's Landing, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Camera: Fujifilm X-T2 Lens: Fujifilm 33mm f/1.4 Settings: 1/240 sec, f/1.4, ISO 200

This was such a memorable trip to Philly. @dykedotexe and I got to run around in the fog all night, taking pics, and exploring. The city was beautiful. It was my first time in Philly and I want to go back so bad!

3. Typical Van Life Camping Spot

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Camera: Fujifilm X-T2 Lens: @dykedotexe's Fujifilm 23mm f/2 Settings: 1/80 sec, f/2.8, ISO 5000

Photographers tend to recommend trying to get high up, to find a new perspective on a place. I've taken to going up any parking garage I can get access to. This night in Philly, it was a fantastic strategy. It was hard to pick a favorite photo from this rooftop. This crunchy, silly pic came out on top.

4. Sunsets in Ordinary Places

Location: Springfield, Virginia Camera: Fujifilm X-H1 Lens: Fujifilm 50-140mm f/2.8 Settings: 50mm, 1/240 sec, f/2.8, ISO 200

Again in a parking garage, but a bit more empty than in Philly. I found myself in this weird spot mostly cause I was bored one day. I took the train out to the end of the Blue line and wandered a bit. I ended up here on a cold, blustery day at sunset. And of course, it was a gorgeous one.

5. Winners

Location: PPG Paints Arena, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Camera: Sony RX100 VII Settings: 72mm, 1/1250 sec, f/4.5, ISO 2500

I can't lie, I'm a Montreal fan. So, when Toronto won this game in the PWHL's on-the-road series in Pittsburgh, I was a bit disappointed. However, seeing Campbell and Carly Jackson was fantastic. This was also my first time renting a camera. I wanted something small that security wouldn't bother me about, the Sony RX100 fit the bill. I didn't love a lot of the photos that came out of that camera. Even this isn't a truly great photo. But, it got the job done and I loved seeing some professional women's hockey with my family.

6. Criss Cross

The new Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge in DC is gorgeous. One of my favorite subjects. Here, captured at dusk, it looked truly marvelous. I was trying out a new lens, on a fairly new camera. I was very impressed with the results! The geometry here really works for me.

7. The Great American Eclipse, Cloud Halo

This was my first time seeing a total solar eclipse. Four of us travelled up to Vermont to get a good view, scouted out locations, and ended up in a small town park for the day. It lived up to the hype and was absolutely worth the time and the trip. Would 100% do it again. Even with a bit of cloud cover (causing the cloud ring around the outside), the eclipse was stunning.

8. No Trains Today

Location: Harper's Ferry Train Station, Harper's Ferry, West Virginia Camera: Fujifilm X-T5 Lens: Fujifilm 16-55mm f/2.8 Settings: 55mm, 1/75 sec, f/5, ISO 250

Last year I really got into riding my bike. I've ridden it for commuting for years, but last year I got into riding longer distances, road and gravel, for fun. It's been a blast and it's been incredibly difficult. It inspired me to get a gravel bike. My biggest accomplishment for the year was riding from Harper's Ferry, WV along to C&O Canal Trail back to DC over a long weekend. It's the longest ride I've done, and I did it on my trusty Gazelle Arroyo. This year, I'd like to do the same ride on my gravel bike, and hopefully something even longer!

9. Bubble Bike Party

Location: Cardozo, Washington, DC Camera: Fujifilm X-T5 Lens: Fujifilm 56mm f/1.2 Settings: 1/250 sec, f/1.2, ISO 5000

You should check to see if your city has a Bike Party or Critical Mass ride. They're fun, party pace, chill rides. Stops in the middle for a party. This is the pride ride for June & represents so much for me. I got to ride this with everyone that I've convinced to get their own bike. And happened to land this fun photo of the party along the way!

10. The Sears Tower

Location: The Loop, Chicago, Illinois Camera: Fujifilm X-T5 Lens: Fujifilm 16-55mm f/2.8 Settings: 55mm, 1/125 sec, f/2.8, ISO 250

Chicago is awesome. This was my first trip over there, and while I did get sick as soon as I got there, I had an awesome time wandering the city. This rainy night was my favorite. Big towers, quiet streets, it felt like a playground. I can't wait to come back. This moody pic really captures the qualities I love about blue hour in cities.

11. Northern Chicago from 1,000 Feet

Location: Chicago 360, Chicago, Illinois Camera: Fujifilm X-T5 (Full Spectrum Converted) Lens: Fujifilm 16-55mm f/2.8 Settings: IR Chrome Filter, 1/75mm, f/4.5, ISO 320

This photo, taken from the observation level of the mega tourist-y Chicago 360 building, proved to me that digital IR Chrome is super cool and something I should try more. I've loved IR photography for a while. This wasn't my first IR Chrome shot ever, but it's the one I finally started to get the famous red color. It made me want to shoot IR Chrome soooo much more!

12. Big Sky Manhattan

Location: The Edge, Manhattan, New York Camera: Fujifilm X-T5 Lens: Fujifilm 33mm f/1.4 Settings: 1/90 sec, f/5.6, ISO 250

Right after my vacation in Chicago, work sent me to New York. I was still under the weather but after my positive observation deck experience in Chicago, I figured I would try the same in Manhattan. I ended up at the top of the city during a beautiful sunset. It was a fantastic time and truly beautiful.

13. Muffler Max

Location: Penn-Fallsway, Baltimore, Maryland Camera: Fujifilm X-T5 Lens: Fujifilm 56mm f/1.2 Settings: 1/200 sec, f/4, ISO 125

I really need to get to Baltimore more often. It's an easy 1 hour train ride from DC, any day of the week, for under like $30 round trip. I ended up there on a weekend where I was bored. It was raining and overcast all day. But, bad weather usually means good photos. I had a great time walking around. Can't wait to get back and see more of the city.

14. Danger: Chlorine

Location: Sideling Hill Rest Stop, Hancock, Maryland Camera: Fujifilm X-T5 (Full Spectrum Converted) Lens: Fujifilm 33mm f/1.4 Settings: IR Chrome Filter, 1/220 sec, f/2, ISO 125

Took this shot at a rest stop off the highway on the way home from a camping trip. It's the one that convinced me I'm starting to get the editing of IR Chrome photos down. This unremarkable shed nestled in leaves looks truly extraordinary in IR Chrome.

15. Nats Game (Square)

Location: Navy Yard, Washington, DC Camera: Panasonic S5 II Lens: Sigma 50mm f/2 Contemporary Settings: 1/60 sec, f/5, ISO 2000

My second experience renting a camera, I was a little concerned taking gear I didn't own out in the rain. But, it was worth it. The Panasonic S5 II is an excellent camera and there are clear benefits over the Fujifilm X-T5. However, the differences aren't large enough for me to switch systems for them yet. Maybe when Panasonic releases a high resolution version of the S5 II? Either way, I got this excellent street photo at Nats Park!

16. Milky Way & so much more

If I've learned one thing over the years in photography, it's that Astro photography is incredibly difficult. I'm no pro and have difficulty editing these photos each time. I had fun with this full spectrum milky way shot, but I still feel like I have no idea what I'm doing 😅

17. Normal Sunrise

I went to Las Vegas for a work conference. While I was aware of The Sphere, I don't think I had really internalized it as a thing that excited until I saw it in person. It is truly a ridiculous piece of engineering and architecture. It's completely unnecessary, an eye sore, and makes the experience of being in Las Vegas worse. So, it's perfect for Las Vegas. This photo (and its IR Chrome alter ego) have cemented it into me that I truly love to hate The Sphere.

18. Monorail Bends

This monorail in Vegas is not good transit. Yet, it brought me to all the conference locations I needed to get to. It's annoying to ride, out of the way, dark, loud, and slow. But, it works. And it sured looked great at sunrise.

19. Desert Ocean

Sometimes you take the coolest shots at an empty, desert highway exit, from the roof of a rental car. This funky abstract captures the vibe of the middle of the desert in a fantastic way.

20. River to Watchman

Location: Zion National Park, Utah Camera: Fujifilm X-T5 (Full Spectrum Converted) Lens: Fujifilm 33mm f/1.4 Settings: Hot Mirror Filter (visible light only), 1/110 sec, f/5, ISO 125

Holy cow is Zion National Park beautiful. I'm so happy I got a chance to go here. I only got a few hours in the park, but I was stunned the whole time. It's just unfathomably gorgeous. I have to go back an I think this photo manages to capture my experience of sunset in that park.

With Love For Dragon Age

When I say Dragon Age saved my life, I'm not exaggerating. It's not hyperbole. It's 100% factual. When I was at my lowest, I made a list in my head of things I would not be able to enjoy if I ended my life. This game was number one. 

I won't be able to play the next Dragon Age game.

I won't be able to feel my husband's hugs.

I won't be able to hear my cat purring.

That was the order ever single time.

I haven't felt that way for about...four years now. When I got sick with covid in 2022, Dragon Age gave me more motivation to fight the disease (bed rest, lots of soup, neti pot, pneumonia breathing exercises), and I know it helped.

Between the three games, I have around 40k hours (or 4.56 years) of game time invested in it. I have all the books and graphic novels, the tarot deck, and more. This game is on a short list of things I'm well and truly passionate about.

Unfortunately, it looks like I won't be able to play until next year. Why?

Pay off Cacoa's vet bill from earlier this year - 50% there

Pay off at least half of another debt - $1619.20 left to pay on it right now, and it starts collecting interest in spring 2025.

Purchase a game console - XBox Series X, $500

Purchase the game - around $70, and I'm not pre-ordering. - Friend purchased it for me!!!

With your assistance, I can reach those goals. Selling two of my original paintings would take care of both the first and second goals. I have quilt listings starting at $20. There's also the option to commission me for a quilt, become a monthly supporter, or make a donation. I'm rather fond of having space for making new things, and my space is very limited, and the shop has many listings with more added almost every week right now, when I'm not working on commissions.

If I'm able to play this year, I will be ecstatic. Ideally, playing as part of my celebration for have less debt. We have another debt to pay off after this, but it's collecting no interest. Selling everything in my shop, however, would pay off everything on this list, plus that debt, and enough left to make home repairs (like replacing the plumbing).

If I reach goals one and two, totaling nearly $2k with the two combined, by October 1st, I'm having a massive giveaway. One when I reach my current goal, one when I reach the next one, and as celebration for reaching both by October 1st, a third giveaway.

Listen, my love for Dragon Age runs deep as the marrow in my bones. It was one of the very things that kept me from ending my life during the darker times of my life. I will be genuinely upset if I'm unable to play when the game is released, but I will be happy just to be able to play this year. My love for Dragon Age is incentive enough to offer free quilts.

You’ll use Tumblr to receive communications from the mods and to send/receive anonymous messages to/from your recipients/writers, so make sure your Tumblr has anonymous messaging turned on. We do ask you to please reach out to your recipient at least once: not only is it a great way to find out more about what kind of gift they would enjoy, but it’s also a really fun part of the exchange!

Hi! Thanks for your interest in the Superfam big bang - we’re so excited to have you here!

While we hammer out details and taglists, this blog is a work in progress; pages will be updated as we get things sorted, and we’ll have it up and running by the end of the year!

What’s this all about?

There’s no big bang event for the Superfam!!!!!! and unfortunately both of us love these Kryptonians (and all the humans they’ve surrounded themselves with) so we had to. If you’re here you definitely get it 🤭

What’s the word count / art minimum?

🌻 at least 20k for Authors. 🌻 at least 1 x full colour art piece for Artists 🌻 at least 1 x full gifset (6 gifs) or 3 x images for Manip creators 🌻 We do NOT accept AI.

When are we doing posting?

Can I use a fic I’ve already posted / write a sequel to a fic I’ve already posted?

We are not accepting fics that have already been posted, unless the part you have posted is 500 words or less. For example, if you wrote a short headcanon post on Kenan and how he adjusts to interacting with Lois, and then want to write further on that concept via an interdimensional space adventure, that would be 100% allowed. However if you had written a 600+ word drabble on Kara being a horse girl, or a “what if Kryptonians had wings” AU, you would not be able to use that for this bang. The base concept of what we’re trying to do by limiting fics that have already been posted is to ensure that the artist & author match ups are random, and not based off someone recognising someone else’s work in an effort to get that partner. We want this to be a fun passion project, and a way to make new Superfam friends! This connects to sequels too: any direct sequel (ie. a fic that would require you to read the first one in order to understand the second) would not be allowed, but we would accept a spin-off or inspired-by fic. Think the Hobbit vs. The Lord of the Rings trilogy, or how all the Narnia books are in the same interconnected world, but are not direct sequels. Please just reach out to the mods if you want to use something that’s already been posted/want to make a sequel or spin-off to a different fic, and we can discuss it from there.

Are there any specific characters that are off-limits?

Think of the Bang like the fics / art are all issues from a Supers comic run: They can have guest stars, but it’s their show. While we won’t say characters are “off-limits”, we are making the limitation that if you are writing a fic that may feature another hero or team - ie. a Superbat or YJ fic - you either: 🌻 feature the superfam member’s POV at least 50% of the time or 🌻 the fic must be directly exploring the superfam member and their story and character

How are you running the posting period?

As the event doesn’t start until next year, we are going to adjust some things depending on the contributors we get and how the event runs, but! The major way posting will run is as such: When fics are complete, we’re going to check in with everyone via discord and see which of 2 preferences they have: If you want to participate in posting chapter by chapter, we will be enforcing a finalisation date - ie. that the fic must be posted in entirety by a certain day. There will be freedom to decide what the schedule is and how you divide chapters, but the “slow release” will still be a short period (ie. 1-2 weeks, depending on fic length). You would also need to discuss with your artist when they would post their art, and work together to decide the best time to link your pieces. The mods will also only be reblogging your fic to @/superfambigbang on the first chapter, and then when it is posted in entirety. While we will not edit the fic, if you elect for option 2, the mods will most likely contact you so we can check your project, as we understand a “slow release” is a non-standard way of running a bang project and want to ensure it goes smoothly.

The other way is, of course, the standard way a bang is posted; all at once / entirely posted on one day. Dates will be assigned while keeping in mind author/artist preference, however we will be trying to ensure space between each contributor so that the fics all get space to stand out ❤️

Can I sign up to beta?

Thank you so much for the interest! We’re going to see who within the event would like to beta first, and then potentially open a beta check in Jan 2026, when fics are complete.

Is NSFW / dark fic allowed?

If you write a NSFW or dark fic that’s completely fine, but be aware that the event is for all ages. If you write a fic that discusses sensitive or NSFW topics, we will request that any discussion regarding your fic be kept in the appropriate area on discord. If you violate this rule accidentally (ie. forget what chat you are in and post an implication of NSFW), you will be given one warning before you will be removed from the event. If you violate this in an extreme manner (ie. any nudity, explicit sexual references, explicit violence etc., in any area that is not the NSFW channels), you will be kicked from the discord and blocked from participating in any feature events.

Can we write for xovers?

As long as it features the Superfam you can write about whatever! Want Jon to end up playing Homestuck? Want Kon or Kenan to end up hanging with the Avengers? Want the Superfam to meet the cast of Invincible? Go for it! As per the other guidelines mentioned above, our one major rule is that it must be featuring the Superfam - this is a Superfam-themed event, after all!

Are we allowed to write more than one fic?

Keeping in mind that the minimum word count is 20k and we want to ensure that as many projects are completed as possible + we want to ensure match-ups work out, at this point in time writing a second will depend on if your first is finished, as well as how many artists sign up.

At the current point in time (and because this is the first time we've run a proper big bang together!) writing two fics will not be allowed unless one of them is complete or semi-complete prior to artist match ups, and the other has reached the minimum word count check-in for the artist sign ups.

To encourage people to write and to make some fun interactive challenges in the event (and with NaNoWriMo’s unfortunate decision to be dumbasses), the mods thought it would be fun to set November as a mini writing challenge! If you sign up for the bang, you do not have to complete in the mini wrimo if you want to, but the option is there. The gist is, much like nanowrimo, a challenge to write a little bit every day - with challenges, sprints, and a badge at the end.

We’ll be aiming for 10k (350 words/day), so if you do sign up, that means by the end of November (and keeping in line with the other check-ins), authors will have 20k for the event, and will have plenty of time to edit and maybe start a new project! ♥

A/N: Day 15 of the Jan 2025 writing challenge by @fanfictionoverload! Day 1 of the summer prompts! This one started out as angst, but I got too sad, so here’s some smut instead. Established D/s relationship, everything is 100% safe, sane and consensual. Dom!Dave x f!reader, with some darker vibes. Reader knows what Dave does and she likes it. Brief mention of killing, but not in any detail. 500 words may not have been enough for whatever this is. Enjoy!

You were waiting for Dave in the dim light of the living room, and the second he stepped through the door, his eyes locked on yours. You didn’t say anything- you didn’t have to. The sight in front of him was one that he walked in to every time he finished a job; and you were exactly where he had left you two hours ago.

You were wearing nothing but an old shirt of his, completely unbuttoned. Legs parted, hands resting against the sides of the armchair, waiting for him to come back home and finally give you permission to touch yourself. 

You didn’t move. You didn’t even break eye contact with him as he crossed the room and caged you in, hands gripping the arms of the chair. 

You arched toward him, a whine of desperation slipping past your lips before you could stop it. He let his eyes rove over you, one hand moving to between your legs, stopping to hover just over your heat. 

“Have you been behaving yourself?” He asked, tilting his head so that his lips hovered above yours.

When you didn’t answer, he tapped against your clit with his fingertips, - stinging pleasure jolted through you, and a breathy moan left your lips involuntarily. 

“Answer me.” Dave said, fingertips brushing against your pussy so gently it made your legs twitch with anticipation.

Bulma really, really doesn't want to make this phone call.

Bulma stares mournfully at the yellowed plastic of the phone on the wall. Maybe if she’s lucky, the ancient thing will be broken and there will be no way for her to make a call to the last number she ever wanted to be in possession of. She already had the blessing of Goku conking out early, so why not?

The phone rings. She groans and picks up. “Hello, Son residence?”

“Oh, wrong numb—”

Bulma hangs up. She should really try harder to convince Goku’s grandfather to let her gift him a new phone with caller identity..that or she could install one as a surprise, free of charge, courtesy of the Capsule Corporation.

She takes a deep breath. “You can do this, Bulma…if you don’t, then you won’t get that Range Rover next week!”

Bulma glowers down at paper in her hand; the handwriting is neat with clearly defined numbers—it’s proper handwriting, trained and practiced but wielded by someone who doesn’t match it at all. 

Bulma takes the receiver off the hook and tucks it between her ear and shoulder. She keys in the number on the large, clunky buttons and prays when the dial tone starts.

A click, then, “Who are you? This is a private line, I demand to know!”

“What, the little prince doesn’t have caller ID?” Bulma snaps.

Vegeta scoffs on the other side. “Oh, it’s you. Your last name isn’t Son, explain yourself!”

“I’m babysitting, you doofus! I’m only calling you because of that stupid project.”

“What about it?” Vegeta, amazingly but unsurprisingly, is equally as abrasive over the phone as he is at school.

“We have to work together, you know. It’ll be obvious if one of us does everything.”

Vegeta snorts and Bulma takes the receiver into her hand so she can squeeze something as tight as she wants to wring Vegeta’s neck.

“Listen!” Bulma shouts, then flinches—right, Goku. She lowers her voice into a harsh whisper, “Listen, I’ll do the research, you do the writing, we never speak again. Deal?”

“Why do I have to do the writing?”

“Because your handwriting is really nice, okay?” Bulma admits.

“Hmph. Fine.”

Bulma takes the lack of pushback as a win. “We need to talk about the topic before Monday, though, so it’s you, me, and the rubric at my place tomorrow around three, got it?”

“Who said you could decide?!” Vegeta barks back.

“I did! So show up! Daddy will let you into the house if you ask nicely.”

“You—”

Bulma hangs up, groans into her hands, and sets her eyes on the freezer where her special ice cream—a bonus on top of her hourly pay—from Gohan awaits her. 

“Stupid Vegeta…”

The phone rings. Bulma glares at it but answers. “Hello, Son residen—”

“How dare you hang up on me! I am—”

Bulma hangs up. It’s official, she’s installing a phone with caller ID next time she’s babysitting.

Quảng Ninh: Hơn 900 tỷ đồng làm đường kết nối quốc lộ 279 tại TP Hạ Long, thu hồi gần 67 ha đất

Đường nối từ ĐT 342 đến QL 279 qua trung tâm xã Sơn Dương, TP Hạ Long có chiều dài gần 11 km, với tổng mức đầu tư hơn 900 tỷ đồng.

Vừa qua, Ban Quản lý Dự án Đầu tư Xây dựng TP Hạ Long đã công bố Báo cáo đánh giá tác động môi trường dự án đường nối từ ĐT 342 đến QL 279 qua trung tâm xã Sơn Dương, TP Hạ Long.

Dự án này đã đã được HĐND TP Hạ Long phê duyệt chủ trương đầu tư tại Nghị quyết ngày 20/7/2022; UBND TP Hạ Long phê duyệt tổng mặt bằng tỷ lệ 1/500 Cải tạo, nâng cấp đường nối từ ĐT 342 đến QL 279 qua trung tâm xã Sơn Dương, TP Hạ Long.

Mục tiêu kết nối giao thông giữa khu vực các xã miền núi với trung tâm thành phố và kết nối với các tuyến giao thông đối ngoại, đảm bảo an toàn giao thông, tạo động lực phát triển kinh tế - xã hội. Hiện tại, việc di chuyển từ điểm đầu ĐT 342 thôn Trại Me đi trung tâm xã Sơn Dương phải đi theo ĐT 326 về cầu Ba Tấn, chiều dài di chuyển khoảng 13 km, đoạn từ cầu Ba Tấn về QL 279 mặt đường còn nhỏ hẹp, một số vị trí bị xuống cấp.

Tổng chiều dài gần 11 km

Theo Ban Quản lý Dự án Đầu tư Xây dựng TP Hạ Long (chủ dự án), tuyến đường này có vị trí tại xã Sơn Dương, TP Hạ Long. Điểm đầu tuyến đấu nối với dự án đường nối QL 279 đến ĐT 342 tại thôn Trại Me, xã Sơn Dương.

Về hiện trạng sử dụng đất, dự án chiếm dụng diện tích đất khoảng 71,6 ha. Toàn tuyến được xây dựng trên nền đường hiện trạng, khu vực đồi đất thấp, đồng ruộng, một số vị trí giao cắt với đường giao thông nội đồng hiện trạng.

Diện tích đất giao thông hiện trạng (đường ĐT 326, QL 279) là gần 4,7 ha. Diện tích đất cần thu hồi GPMB gần 67 ha.

Quá trình thực hiện dự án sẽ cần phải thu hồi, chuyển đổi mục đích sử dụng đất rừng sản xuất khoảng 17,5 ha. Toàn bộ diện tích đất rừng này đã được giao đất, giao rừng cho các hộ dân quản lý, trồng rừng theo quy định.

Trong khu vực dự án có một số ao nuôi trồng thủy sản do người dân tự đào, các loại thủy sản được nuôi theo dạng quảng canh gồm cá trôi, chép, mè,…

Dự án thực hiện đi cắt qua các khu dân cư xã Sơn Dương tại một số các vị trí cụ thể: khoảng Km 0+600, Km 3+100, Km3+480, Km 3+900, Km 5+50, Km 6+145, Km10+500, mật độ dân cư tập trung không nhiều. Khoảng cách gần nhất từ khu vực dự án đến khu dân cư là khoảng 50 m.

Tổng mức đầu tư hơn 900 tỷ đồng

Về quy mô xây dựng tuyến đường, dự án sẽ xây dựng tuyến đường nối từ ĐT 342 đến QL 279 qua trung tâm xã Sơn Dương với tổng chiều dài tuyến gần 11 km theo tiêu chuẩn đường cấp II Đô thị theo , vận tốc thiết kế 50 km/h.

Đầu tư hoàn thiện nền đường và hạ tầng kỹ thuật theo theo quy hoạch với nền đường có bề rộng 36 m; đầu tư hoàn chỉnh 4 làn xe chạy theo tiêu chuẩn quy định với bề rộng mặt đường 15 m (hoàn thiện làn số 01, 02 và số 05, 06).

Bdải phân cách 9,5 m (dải đất); lề đất 11,5 m; hệ thống thoát nước ngang bao gồm cống và các tuyến cống hộp, hệ thống thoát nước dọc đường (tại các khu dân cư) và các rãnh kỹ thuật,…

Tổng mức đầu tư của dự án này là hơn 900 tỷ đồng. Nguồn vốn thực hiện dự án từ ngân sách tỉnh hỗ trợ có mục tiêu là 516 tỷ đồng; phần còn lại ngân sách thành phố tự cân đối. Về tiến độ, dự án sẽ được hoàn thành và đưa vào sử dụng từ năm 2025.

Xây dựng ba cầu, hai nút giao trên toàn tuyến

Dự án sẽ xây dựng ba cây cầu bao gồm cầu Đồng Giang 1 (Km7+775), cầu Đồng Giang 2 (Km8+770) và cầu Đồng Giang 3 (Km9+425). Bề rộng cầu theo bề rộng nền đường hoàn thiện, chia làm hai đơn nguyên cầu riêng biệt cách nhau 2 m, bề rộng toàn cầu 2 x 17 m = 34 m.

Cụ thể, sơ đồ cầu gồm một nhịp dầm Super, chiều dài mỗi dầm 38,3 m, chiều cao dầm 1,75 m. Bề rộng toàn cầu 17 m. Chiều dài của cả ba cây cầu này là 52,4 m.

Dự án cũng sẽ xây dựng hai nút giao bao gồm nút giao đầu tuyến đấu nối ĐT 342 và nút giao cuối tuyến đấu nối QL 279. Nút giao đầu tuyến và cuối tuyến bố trí theo dạng nút giao bằng, hình tam giác, bố trí các làn tách, nhập, rẽ trái, rẽ phải riêng biệt.

Phạm vi nút giao đầu tuyến và cuối tuyến thiết kế hoàn chỉnh bề rộng mặt đường theo Quy hoạch. Tốc độ thiết kế của đường rẽ trái 20 km/h, tốc độ thiết kế của đường rẽ phải 30 km/h.

Nút giao đầu tuyến đấu nối ĐT 342 sẽ bố trí các đảo giao thông, dải phân cách để kênh hóa các dòng phương tiện. Hướng từ trung tâm xã Sơn Dương đi thẳng ra ĐT 342 và ngược lại bố trí 3 làn xe cơ giới mỗi bên, tổ chức giao thông một chiều.

Tại QL 279 (hướng từ Bắc Giang đi Hạ Long) bố trí mở rộng ba làn gồm hai làn đi thẳng đi vào tuyến chính theo hướng đi ĐT 342 và một làn rẽ phải theo hướng đi Hạ Long. Các hướng rẽ phải đảm bảo các yếu tố kỹ thuật về bán kính vuốt nối và tầm nhìn giao thông.

Hệ thống giao thông xung quanh khu vực hiện ra sao?

Đối với hệ thống giao thông xung quanh khu vực dự án, cao tốc Vân Đồn - Móng Cái đã được chính thức đưa vào khai thác vận hành từ tháng 9/2022. Đường cao tốc này có quy mô 4 làn xe, vận tốc thiết kế 100 km/h, có chiều dài gần 80 km.

Tuyến bắt đầu từ Km70+108 (xã Đoàn Kết, huyện Vân Đồn, cạnh sân bay Quốc tế Vân Đồn) và kết thúc tại Km150+339 (giao với ĐT 335, trùng với điểm cuối dự án cầu Bắc Luân II, TP Móng Cái).

QL 279 có điểm đầu từ ngã ba giao QL 18A (khu vực nút giao Quang Hanh, thành phố Cẩm Phả), đoạn tuyến qua phía Nam huyện Hoành Bồ (trước đây là đường Trới - Vũ Oai) đã được đầu tư theo quy mô đường cấp III đồng bằng với vận tốc thiết kế 80 km/h, bề rộng mặt đường 11 m.

ĐT 326 có tổng chiều dài khoảng 42 km, điểm đầu từ ngã ba Trới (đấu nối QL 279) và điểm cuối ở phường Mông Dương, TP Cẩm Phả (đấu nối ĐT 329). Quy mô khai thác theo đường cấp IV miền núi, bề rộng mặt đường 7 - 10 m, kết cấu thảm bê tông nhựa. Điểm đầu dự án đang nghiên cứu đấu nối với ĐT 326 tại Km10+700.

ĐT 342 có tổng chiều dài trên 58 km đi qua địa bàn các xã Sơn Dương, Đồng Lâm, Kỳ Thượng (Hoành Bồ) và Đạp Thanh (Ba Chẽ). Tuyến đường đang khai thác theo quy mô đường  cấp 4 miền núi

Tháng 5/2022, Ban quản lý dự án đầu tư xây dựng TP Hạ Long có Quyết định ngày 31/5/2022 phê duyệt hồ sơ Thiết kế bản vẽ thi công và dự toán dự án nâng cấp, cải tạo, mở rộng đoạn từ nút giao cầu vượt cao tốc Hạ Long - Vân Đồn thôn Trại Me đến thôn Đồng Trà, xã Đồng Lâm với chiều dài hơn 10 km, điểm cuối dự án tại Km 13+560 ĐT 342, quy mô 4 làn xe, bề rộng nền đường 15,5 m.
