Day 101 End Barrens!Wato

Wato had told Ken that death would be a currency: A price to pay to survive, the cost of a life in exchange for a full belly and healed wounds. A fast way back to spawn, they'd laughed, at the cost of all your items. She'd said that less deaths would be better, in that sort of society.

Wato racks up deaths with nothing to show for it. A full belly, healed wounds. Death is a part of the routine, as common as the scattered grass blocks she quickly learns not to trip over. Death is hard and cold, and death hurts, for the fraction of a second before he respawns in which the bones in his legs crack, and the air from their lungs escapes with no chance of being pulled back in.

For the first time in this damned and cruel, cruel world, death is warm. The lava envelops him, the crisp sound of his items burning isn't even audible over the popping of the molten liquid, and death is warm and instantaneous. The oxygen in their lungs rises to the lava's surface with a pop.

There's a moment, as he stands in the portal for the second time, where she regrets tossing her first bucket into the lava- that bucket was their first way out. Wato doesn't care. That bucket, he decides, is a sacrifice to whatever god, or being, or line of code that allowed him to get it in the first place. It's not a waste, anyway. They can make a million more buckets now.

The apathy, the numbness, it disappears the moment that realization crosses her mind. The second time they enter the nether, they realize that they’re free.

Pickaxe- What style of playing would you catergorize yourself? (Eg: farmer, fisher, adventuruor, builder, etc, make up ur own title if have to!)

This one is probably the hardest one to answer because I fall into so many categories 😄 I guess builder and farmer fit me very well but I think I'll name myself Lore Creator. I love creating little (and large) builds around my worlds which have no particular purpose other than adding lore to the world. I'm talking about boats in swaps and rivers, cabins in the mountains, that kind of stuff. For my next one I really want to build a shrine for the dragon egg on top of a really big mountain. I think it'll look really majestic and ethereal!!

Spawn Egg- Favorite mob? (Can be sans their actions in the game)

It's 100% the Warden! I know it isn't in the game yet but it's just so awesome 😮 It's the first blind mob in the game and it's designed to be unkillable. I can't wait to go into the Deep Dark and summon one to see if I can survive! (I also love the whole new lore around the Sculk. Also, the Warden literally makes the sounds from Disk 11 so...)

Dirt- What biome do you think reflects your personality?

The desert? 😂 I'm actually not that sure. I guess the flower forest is a good choice since I'm generally very bubbly and happy. But the concept art for the new birch forest really encompasses how relaxed and easy going I am most of the time. 🤔
