i am delighted to report that Shin-chan Movie 15, in which a bomb gets attached to the family dog’s ass and can only be detonated by singing, is maybe the most emotional Shin-chan movie out of the 14 or so i’ve seen. from small children dancing in Broadway style kick lines to Shin’s parents thinking he died in a brutal, fiery explosion and the moment played with utter heart wrenching sincerity, i officially decree this a Good Movie

#Yuasa animated the first two gifs. he even differentiated the style of the kids kicking from one another. dude is a god #the love and peace thing tore me up #actually many parts of this movie tore me up #it was very very good and i haven’t been able to stop thinking about it to a degree of concern #csc #my official Shin-chan movie rank IS:#4 9 8 15 5 11 22 3 6 2 1 10 7 #i need to rewatch 11 though i predict it’ll probably jump up a few spots since i loved that one but was very sick with a stomach bug while #watching it and didn’t absorb very much and it’s a very hectic movie #said it before but that the worst i have to say about any of these movies is ‘that was pretty good!’ is really good

"Andrew, it's good to see you." She says smile warm and to her credit she doesn't come to hug him. She'd been one of the better foster moms.

"Can't say the same." he returns. "Long way to come for someone who barely spent time in your house." he raises a brow. "Where's Richard?" he asks.

sometimes its so crazy to realize that there's actually a lot of things i like. that i thought i didn't like because i was a depressed teenager. i love being outside! i love swimming! i love talking to people! even strangers sometimes! i love getting dressed in fun outfits and doing makeup! i love reading and going to art museums! i just thought i was doomed forever to a life of complete and total apathy and void! and now look at me! still a little shaky but i'm doing it!!!!!

in my quest to quell my pain ive only hurt myself worse. damned if i do damned if i dont.

#i need better coping mechanisms but it’s so easy to just turn to substances when you’ve never learned how to cope w your emotions #and physical pain. however a lot of it has been brought on by the substance abuse aka i did it to myself #so i probably deserve it #but i started with them in the first place to get rid of pain that was so overwhelming and constant #it feels like every time i do something to preserve myself im punished for it #and im so sick of it. i cant believe its gotten this bad #i drink to help the pain -> i get hungover and the pain is way worse -> i drink to stop that pain #and the worst part is it always works #realistically ive depended on substances for like a decade #i started drinking at 13 and fell into a rut of alcoholism at like 15/16 #my mom was going thru a phase of alcoholism and roped me into it so bad if be woken up by her bringing me a drink at 9 am #and we’d drink till she passed out and i had to walk her to bed and cook for everyone and do all the chores #it went on for months one summer #then it was weed and i smoked every day from like 18-22 #only thing thwt stopped me from drinking until i started again after both my parents died #i havent recovered since.#im still so traumatized and depressed that i looked for any method of relief #the dph phase was the worst. i think alc is even better than that lmfao it was horrible #once i got access to alc i stopped all that. wouldnt have if i hadnt had alc tho #it’s honestly been one addiction after the other for a decade #and my parents fueled so much of it #‘oh id rarher you drink under my eye than do it behind my back’#BRUH YOU WOULDNT LET ME GO ANYWHERE OR DO ANYTHING. HOW WOULD THWT HAVE HAPPENED #crazy how i was obsessed w drugs and shit by the time i was 10 and i remember thinking wow im gojna grow up to be an addict.#why am i so irreparably fucked up #idk whatever. like im not gonna drink abt it lmao.

you ever think about how pretty much the only reason we use base10 is because we have 10 fingers and if everyone had 6 fingers on each hand we'd use base12 and never even think a thing of it and also math would be pretty much better in every way?

#i think for this september's existential crisis i'm gonna become a base12 truther #and bc i know everyone on this website is math illiterate so to clarify:#the way base12 works is that we have a few extra digits between 9 and 10 #so to count we go:#0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 X Y #so X = 10 and Y = 11 #then '10' = 12 #so the next step of counting goes:#10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 1X 1Y #(i know this looks insane to you but the only reason for that is because you are used to base 10 i promise this makes sense #if you throw away everything you know and come at it with fresh eyes)#so anyways in this case '11' = 13. '19' = 21. 1X = 22. 1Y = 23 #and '20' = 24 #bc the tens column is not the tens column it's actually the twelves column #so each [number] in the second column does not mean 'add [this many] 10s to this' it means 'add [this many] 12s to this'#and this would not be tricky at higher numbers bc in base12 twelve is not counted as 'ten and two' it's just its own thing #in fact it would be harder to multiply by tens bc 10 would be the equivalent of like. 8 here.#it's not its own thing (ten) it's actually 'twelve minus two'#to count by tens goes '0 Y 18 26 34 42 50' and '50' is of course 10x6 in this case so it equals 60 in base10 #not hard #there's a pattern to it.#but it's not as easy as counting by 12s #anyways we already have base12 systems and i like them they are very easy to divide #it's only harder than base10 bc arabic numerals are base10 so it's harder to depict base12 logically in a base10 system #hours are base 12. inches to feet are base 12 #anyways this post is legally classified as scifi and/or speculative fiction #or. fuck. it's not even fictional #this is how math would work in a different system #sci-nonfi #speculative nonfiction

Tbh I still believe Akutagawa's disease is a direct consequence of Dazai's abuse– taking the informations Beast has to offer into account, it's the only logic conclusion. In Beast not only Akutagawa went through the same miserable conditions as he did in canon, he even prolonged his state of living in the slums for four years, with the additional anxiety and stress caused by not knowing Gin's whereabouts; yet, besides obviously being thin and fairly malnourished, he never manifested any illness or physical issue. Compared to Beast, canon Akutagawa got out of the slums to live supposedly comfortably far earlier; the only unfavorable condition he had to deal with was Dazai's abuse. Nor can it be for Beast Akutagawa a matter of not knowing about the illness yet: Akutagawa's coughing is such an emblematic trait of his, his very first apparence opens with him going *cough cough*, and half his canon illustrations portray him covering his mouth with his hand. If he was to have some kind of disease, it sure would have shown in his portrayal; yet Beast Akutagawa is not depicted coughing once
