the 1st floor LOOKS mostly done but will need to do lots of interior work before I can do the next floor. Up to and including plans for passing the wiring from the upper floors down.

The last of the Sakura-plaque Kamikazes. This time a A6M2 Zero i.e. an early production model, which was outdated by 1945. It belonged to the 5th Shichisei-tai, which flew tokko missions against Allied warships off Okinawa. The unit's last aircraft were expended on April 29th 1945.

The kit is from Eduard in 1:48 and comes with the 113-markings based on the color profile in "Desperate sunset", an excellent work on Kamikaze operations from beginning to end.

I drew this in November 2024 but I never posted it because I was so embarrassed (?) But well, I like it right now :) Them as SOAD fans at 16-17yo <33

I really liked adding some of my headcanons, like them as Nirvana fans/listeners (Stan's t-shirt [which is also my first Nirvana t-shirt, me projecting myself onto Stan as always 🫡] and Kyle's In Utero poster). Also, I've added a poster of The Cure and the Toxicity album from SOAD too :3

And my favourite one, Kyle's pendant with the C of Crimson Dawn <33 Stan gave it to him when they were 14 and it is secretly his favourite possession (although he has never admitted it, he always wears it).

And well that's all, it's my first time drawing Stan with bleached hair like Trey's, I don't know if I'll keep it for other drawings but for now I like it :]

i got to go to a vampire party this weekend and as it turns out a lot of my gothest accessories are also arguably aradia-coded, so really i just ended up cosplaying vampire aradia... such is life. anyway heres a vampire au aradia in my party fit!

Another Kamikaze from the Okinawa campaign in 1945.

This time it is a A6M5c Type-52c Zero, the late war version of the famous IJN fighter. It carries a 500 kg (1,100 lb) "No. 50 Ordinary bomb Mod. 2", which was an armor piercing anti ship weapon. In order to carry that much weight, the Type-52c had to be "semi-defanged" i.e. the 20mm cannons as well as the 13mm MG in the nose were removed and the ammo of the remaining 13mm MGs in the wings was cut to 100 rounds per gun. This gave the pilot about 8 seconds of fire, which was to be used to suppress AA gunners on the target ship during the final dive.

This configuration was pioneered by the 721st Naval Air Group (NAG) also known as the "Jinrai Butai" (Thundergods). This was the unit in charge of operating the Ohka Kamikaze rocket planes. Due to the loss of many specialized Ohka-specific Betty bombers, there were more Ohka pilots than there were bombers to ferry them. However there was no shortage of Zero fighters. Ohka pilots flying in Zeros on kamikaze attacks were called "Kenmu-tai" missions. The volunteers of 721st NAG were more experienced than the average kamikaze pilot (presumably because the Ohka was seen as a wonder weapon and only pitched to proven pilots). And they had to qualify for the Ohka by successfully completing a flight in the unpowered Ohka training glider. The 721st did significantly more damage with Kenmu-Missions than with Ohkas. The kamikaze hits on USS Bunker Hill and USS Enterprise are credited to Kenmu Zeros. "Blossoms from the sky" by Dan King is a superb account of the 721st NAG history in 1945.
