i've done some heavy duty research and i think i've got the strategy to keep my cottonee alive without evolving her into a whimsicott in late stage. this is contingent on me finding a specific item and also her being fast which i recognize might be a problem for her but i think she can do it
#nightmare.pkmn#tldr: cotton guard + power herb + solar beam. that's it that's the strat#if she gets really fucked i can use giga drain mostly for her own self healing purposes#but i feel like provided she doesn't get 1 hit KOed (which i'm not gonna like send her to fight a fire type lol) we're so good#and once i get the original cotton guard off i can just keep solar beaming it's 100% accuracy#i think i'm also going to hang onto stun spore#but i'm mixed because poison powder is also good but paralysis is just too good to pass up
