i've done some heavy duty research and i think i've got the strategy to keep my cottonee alive without evolving her into a whimsicott in late stage. this is contingent on me finding a specific item and also her being fast which i recognize might be a problem for her but i think she can do it

i'll post some pictures later but today was another productive day in pokémon black!! i'm at driftveil city now (think i got the name right?). current team is Dewott (endgame), Pansear, Timburr, Cottonee (endgame), Herdier, and Krokorok (endgame). i'm enjoying the plot so far -- i somehow get very stressed with games that are relatively low stress, haha, so i have some difficulty navigating the routes and things. but i genuinely do like the two rivals, bianca is a lesbian in my heart (sorry) but like... they feel very sweet and compelling, i can imagine how all of them would be childhood friends :') also N is pretty interesting though i didn't understand what the fuck was happening in the ferris wheel scene because sometimes pokémon dialogue is strange lol. not sure if it's no fun to look up the kind of pokémon i can encounter in each place but i am dyinggg to know when i can see some more type variation... i have like ZERO flying type counters and those are the only pokémon you run into ever.

ive written out a current dream team for pkmn black (oshawott, chandelure, galvantula, mandibuzz, krookodile, ???) but im realizing most of these seem like late game options which tbh is maybe a good thing because i dont want to give up my stupid little guys that soon :(

POKEMON NATION can i just keep leveling my pokemon through victory road? i made it here but they are SEVERELY underleveled, i'm really not earning that much exp from route 10 though.

wait ok so u can fight trainers but you can't... heal? is there any way to heal on victory road or do i literally have to run back to the gym every time? i don't have a pokemon with fly on my team right now so do i just. help

also i kind of love whimsicott and i named my pokemon thinking i'd evolve it (it's named dee like waddle dee :D) but im looking at it and aside from the obvious benefit of getting flying type moves with a level up i'm wondering if i actually want that. like i might just TM teach my cottonee stuff but i dont know if thats a dumbass idea

my best friend called me while i played yesterday and we were chatting so i don't totally remember everything... i lost a ton of money fighting Cheren in the school because i am the CEO of not using items and forgetting whether or not I made a save slot, apparently.

my team is currently Fool (Oshawott), Cookie (Lillipup), Matpata (Patrat), and Diva (Purrloin). i am obviously keeping Fool for the endgame, but I might hang on to Cookie because both me and my best friend really love that evolution line (plus, my friend told me about the like... HM moves, and said that though not every player does this it could be helpful to have one pokemon take on those moves).

it's a little stressful to play because i don't really know what's going on-- i seriously am going into this REALLY blind-- but i'm having fun so far and am glad the story is linear as of right now!

hopefully i can beat my first gym today ^_^

i know i've forgotten to post a lot of updates but i booted it up today and managed to evolve both Lady Gagita and Mercutio, which means...

FINAL TEAM ACCOMPLISHED! all evolved, not all moves learned yet (still waiting on EQ -_-) but IT'S MY TEAM! plus i took a cute photo of Mercutio with his sister (my plush named Ophelia :P)

FINALLY GRADUATED IN PMD!. holy shit that boss battle was a NIGHTMARE i used literally every single save slot (before i had only 5 done, i used ALL 10...) pausing for now because i'm FT-ing my best friend and he's going through a stressful pikmin battle right now and i'm wiped from trying to deal with the like 8V2 BOSS BATTLE!!! crazy shit. but glad i've made progress <3

so currently leaving off pokémon black with: beat the main game, went to route 16 (? may be wrong number) so i could get waterfall, gave up and taught waterfall (maybe a mistake) & fly to my core team because i hated dealing with pokémon swaps at pcs, i went using waterfall and fought severely overleveled pokémon just so i could get my lampent overheat. now i think i'm in pretty solid shape i dunno if there's anything i need for him pre-evolution or if i can just send it and TM the rest, but yeah!

i don't really know... what i'm supposed to do now? i accidentally found one of the sages but i don't know if that's the only post-game quest. hopefully i have some more direction, otherwise i guess i'll keep catching and leveling but i might just let it sit somewhere since summer is almost over anyway once i get to like a satisfying spot post-game.

i am pausing because i don't know if i should name her creatura or critter... i was expecting it to be a son of mine but i will love my daughter all the same, i think i would cry if i boxed her just to get another one she's perfect she's my baby... but i need to figure out which name is better!!! augh!!!
