Lesson 045: God Can Turn Things Around
Genesis 45:4-5 - And Joseph said to his brothers, “Please come near to me.” So they came near. Then he said: “I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt.  But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life.
Joseph could have rightfully attributed all the setbacks and hardships in his life due to the actions of his brothers.  They threw him into a pit.  They mocked him.  They considered murdering him.  They sold him into slavery.  They ignored his cries for mercy and for help.  They were the reason he was separated from his father.  They were the reason he was a slave in Egypt.  They were indirectly the reason he spent two years in an Egyptian prison.
Let’s read together Leviticus 19:18; Matthew 5:38-39; Matthew 6:15; Romans 12:19; and 1 Thessalonians 5:15.
Joseph had the ability and plenty of reasons to get revenge upon his brothers.  Instead, Joseph let go of his past pain and forgave his brothers.  He even went a step further.  Joseph saw the good God wrought in his life despite the evil his brothers intended all those years ago.
God forgives us as we forgive others.  Even if you do not feel like forgiving others, ask God for the power to forgive them.  After all, Jesus died for us so that we could be forgiven of our sins.

"THE BENEFITS OF FASTING"
WHY DO WE FAST? There are different kind of fasts. There are private fasts that you do privately: Matthew 6:16-18, “And whenever you are fasting, do not look gloomy and sour and dreary like the hypocrites, for they put on a dismal countenance, that their fasting may be apparent to and seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full already. But when you fast, perfume your head…

I Am In Anguish In This Flame (Part 2) (220) - November 18 2023
Play on other Podcast Apps The second of two programs looking at Luke 16:19-31, regarding the rich man and the destitute Lazarus. On earth Lazarus was at the gate of the rich man, begging for anything that may drop from the man’s table. After both died (in the physical sense), the rich man and Lazarus switched positions. The man was taken to Hades (the place of the dead) by angels, while Lazarus…

the Lord Jesus is coming quickly!
"For the Lord Himself will come down from Heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God. First, the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
Jesus, the Son of God, gave His life and shed His blood for the payment of your sins. by acknowledging your sinful nature, and trusting in Him as the only means of salvation, you're included in this event! For Jesus promised in John 14:2-3, "There are many rooms in My Father's house (..) I go to prepare a place for you (..) When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so you will always be with Me where I am."
God poured out His wrath for our sins onto Jesus' body on the cross; once and for all time (Hebrews 9:28). Therefore we the Church, as the Body of Christ, cannot be here to experience God's Wrath again (1 Thessalonians 5:9). the Tribulation that is coming is the time of God's Wrath; a testing period for those still covered by their sin (Isaiah 26:20-21). but He promised He would take His followers out of the way before it comes (Revelation 3:10). we will be taken to the safe places He has prepared for us.
the time is much sooner that you think! please turn to the Lord while there is still time, He loves you and has done EVERYTHING necessary to provide salvation for you. the Tribulation will be the worst time in human history, and God desires that no one go through it. listen to the still, small Voice that is calling you to repentance. He is calling you home!

hi lovely!! how are you?? so I have a question
1- how should a woman act/behave according to the Bible? is there any part that talks about this? I only see people talking about proverbs 31
2- we know how women should behave in a marriage but what about men?
3- do you have any tips to be more conected with god and with yourself??
thanks for answering this!! I hope you have a god day 💜
hi love!! i’m doing well <3
i tend to focus on these main attributes of femininity and i find they come naturally to me so i try to embrace them instead of trying to force myself into what i feel like i need to be as a woman nowadays, which is brash, outspoken, “strong” in a certain way, etc.
modesty- I dress modestly.
"I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety…” (1 Timothy 2:9-10)
kindness- I focus on being kind.
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud." (1 Corinthians 13:4)
"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32)
chastity- I try my best to avoid all sexual immorality and lust.
purity is a beautiful trait of femininity. to all girls reading this: you don’t need to lose your virginity. you’re not behind and you don’t need to do anything like that to be cool or experienced. your innocence should be protected, it doesn’t need to be taken away. those tv shows, singers, and movies are lying to you. promiscuity is not cool.
"It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God." (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5)
"Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies." (1 Corinthians 6:18-20)
2. what i've found is that there are creepy disingenuous men in the traditional space on Tumblr. that does not negate how beautiful Christ-centered traditional masculinity & relationships really are <3
"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her." (Ephesians 5:25)
"Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them." (Colossians 3:19)
"Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers." (1 Peter 3:7)
3. here's some things that have helped me feel connected to God:
there’s this really helpful meditation that has helped me a lot in connecting with Jesus:
youtube
and these old fashioned Christmas songs with beautiful lyrics about Jesus' birth and really calming melodies. it helps me feel closer to Christ than ever.
making art about Jesus, singing about Him, making collages.
praying to Him and asking Him for help in being closer to Him.
keep asking questions and talking to other people about Christ, because I find that connection and honesty has helped my faith and connection with God so much.
i don’t always feel close to God. but just because i don’t feel close to Him doesn’t mean He’s not there. <3

Hebrews 4:12 (NASB) . “For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.”
“The Living Word” By In Touch Ministries:
“Through the Bible, God speaks personally to His children.”
“The Bible is the most amazing book ever written. God used human beings to record His thoughts and words in writing so that others could know Him (2 Peter 1:20-21). The One who spoke the universe into existence still speaks just as powerfully through the pages of the Bible that you hold in your hands.
At the moment of salvation, believers receive the Holy Spirit, and lines of communication with the Lord are established. Then, whenever the Scriptures are read, children of God can hear His voice, and the Spirit enables them to understand and put into practice what they have heard.
The Bible isn’t just a good book that’s filled with comforting words; Scripture is effective and always achieves God’s purpose (Isaiah 55:10-11). Today’s passage describes it as “active and alive,” and 1 Thessalonians 2:13 tells us the Word of God is “at work in you who believe.” This book has the power to change our life if we will believe the Lord and do what He says.
God uses the Bible to transform us from the inside out. Before reading Scripture, ask Him to help you hear and understand what He’s saying. As you believe and obey, your spiritual hearing will become more acute, and your time in the Word will become an intimate conversation with the Lord.”

Everyone reading this, this is for you. God appointed that you would see this post at this time. He has a message for you, please don't ignore it.
The message is this: repent of your sins, and believe in Jesus! This life will not last forever. Some day, maybe some day soon, each and every one of us will stand before the Lord to be judged. For those who repent and receive God's offer of pardon through Lord Jesus' sacrifice, they will obtain eternal life. Those who refuse the Lord Jesus and die in their sins, they will receive condemnation and everlasting punishment. Please, I beg you, don't let yourself be counted among the latter!
If you read this and you want to know more, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.
I love you all. I'll be praying for you!
Romans 10:9-13
"...9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing His riches on all who call on Him. 13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”"
Titus 2:11-14
"11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, 12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, 13 waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession who are zealous for good works."
Titus 3:3-7
"3 For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. 4 But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, 5 He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to His own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that being justified by His grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life."
2 Thessalonians 1:5-10
"5 This is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are also suffering— 6 since indeed God considers it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you, 7 and to grant relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels 8 in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9 They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His might, 10 when He comes on that day to be glorified in His saints, and to be marveled at among all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed."
Revelation 20:11-15
"11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who was seated on it. From His presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. 13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. 14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."

THOUGHTS:
=======================
Diligently means doing it thoroughly and well; sometimes, we halfway do things or don’t do them with so much heart. I wash my car every Sunday. I go through this car wash, and it shines the tires, and then I go to this spot, and I vacuum and detail it and clean the windows; I even do the back seat even though I never put anything back there.
When I'm done, I’m proud of what I did because my car is clean, and I love my car to smell and look clean. Some days, if I don’t feel like it, I might just let it go through the car wash. I won't do anything else, but that’s what I do; some of us don’t be thorough with our walk with God; we do things halfway. We give him half of our heart, half of our time, and don’t focus on him because we think he’ll understand or he’ll be there &&& I know he won't leave me.
Every day, we shouldn’t fear that he won't be there because his word says, I’ll never leave you or forsake you . Still, God wants us to know we need to be thorough with what we do in our relationship with Him, be consistent with our prayer life, and be consistent with seeking him, and doing those things helps us build a relationship with God , God isn’t just a car we let go through a car wash and do half of everything , no he’s God the maker of the universe we should desire to do everything that’s required to build a relationship with him.
Today's verse says this: listen to God's voice thoroughly and do what is right in his sight. God sees everything, so whatever we do, he's watching us do it, good or bad, and he see when we keep his commandments. We shouldn’t just do some of them, we need to do all of them. The word tells us this.
James 2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law and stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.
It says whoever keeps the whole law yet stumbles with just one, is guilty of breaking them all; some of us aren’t mindful of his other laws and rules. Yes, Jesus died, so we won't have to depend on our ways, and he did away with the LAW BUT Jesus, WANTS US TO US THEM AS A —->>>guideline not to do what we want but a guideline to show us how to walk in him and how to be a person that honors God with our life.
God wants us to live a life free from thinking we must walk on eggshells, but we should walk in a way that pleases him. We do this by diligently seeking the voice of a God, always heeding his voice so we can get instructions about our life and day. The only way to build a relationship with God is to follow him; we might find this hard to do when we live in a way that doesn’t please God, but when we live in a way that pleases God, we don’t have to worry or be afraid all we have to do is walk in him
•Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

•Proverbs 16:7: When a man's ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies at peace with him.

•1 Thessalonians 2:4 But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please man, but to please God who tests our hearts.

The word tells us we can only please God through our faith and must believe that he exists. When we speak, it's not for man. It is to please God when we teach; our life must be pleasing to God, not everyone else; if everyone else around us doesn’t like our life and what we say and what we do, and we know our life pleases God, that’s all that matters, but we must hear from God so we can know we are at that point of pleasing him.
Some people won’t understand your walk, they won’t understand your relationship, and that’s okay too, but we must keep doing what we know he told us to do. Just like we DON’T do exactly what everyone says to do, we should do the same with our walk with God. We should ignore the different opinions of what people say, and only hear God's voice.

***Today, we learned what God wants of us, what he requires of us, and how we can please him. We must seek him thoroughly. He must listen to him and seek him with our whole heart. Sometimes, it is hard because we have everyone telling us what to do, but we must look at his words. What did his voice say? What is he calling us to do today? God is not calling us to listen to the naysayers or to listen to everyone with a microphone; the most important thing we can do in our life right now is yield to him and not man.
It’s hard not to listen to people we deem as important . Still, those people can have it wrong, and if we don’t bring their words before God and God tells us no or yes, we shouldn’t listen to them because the enemy can use anyone to pull us away from God. And we never want to be pulled away from God. If you’re struggling to hear his voice, you’re struggling to ignore everyone else. Ask God to give you strength and power, and he will do it. ©Seer~ Prophetess Lee

PRAYER
========================
Heavenly Father, we thank you for today and your mercy and grace. We asked you to strengthen us through a hard time, but God guided us. Let us hear your voice and keep us strong. Forgive us if we did anything wrong. We asked you to help us to stay focused on you and hear your voice. We give you everything, and we thank you, Father; please help us to stick with you in our hard days in Jesus' Name, Amen

I know I will probably experience some hate on this post, but it’s okay. I don’t live to please man 🙌🏼
If you can look at this photo and NOT see the demonic agenda of Halloween, you are blinded. 😵
I was walking through Michaels yesterday and saw all of this as I was checking out.
Witches, ouija boards, demons, the dead, fear, supernatural, ghosts, monsters, magic, spells, curses, mediums, palm reading, witchcraft, potions, all seeing eye…
These are things that NO follower of Christ should compromise with. Period
It’s a sad thing when you have churches doing “trunk or treats” while the members are even dressing as witches and passing out candy with monsters and demons on the wrappers… where have we gone? The church needs help. God help us.
“Chelsea, I saw you celebrating Halloween before!! Don’t be a hypocrite!” 🙄
Oh I know I used to! I used to be all about it. I used to dress up, go to the parties, and haunted houses…. But then the Lord opened my eyes and now I can’t compromise with the world. I just can’t.
“But Chelsea you’re ridiculous. It’s for fun and kids go out and get candy. Come on now..”🙄
Listen, go look up the history of how passing out candy on Halloween came about. Go look up how the costumes came about. While you’re researching, look up the Celtic history of Oct 31.
Then ask yourself, “does this glorify God?”
I understand that so many like to celebrate and try to “sprinkle Jesus on top“, I used to do the same, but the unfortunate fact is that you can’t.
This holiday is demonic. Just because you dress up your child as a Bible character does not make it of the Lord.
We have to be set apart. We are called to be set apart. How are we set apart if we look exactly like the world?
“Where are your scriptures Chelsea?? You can’t just talk all this talk and leave with nothing!!” 🙄
I’m glad you asked, here are just a FEW. 👇🏼
1 Corinthians 10:21 📖
You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons.
1 John 1:5
This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all
3 John 1:11
Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God.
Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
1 Thessalonians 5:22
Abstain from every form of evil.
Ephesians 4:27
Neither give place to the devil.
2 Corinthians 6:14
Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?
-Don’t be upset with me. This is Gods Word. Speak to Him. We can’t twist it. We have to be fully committed to Him and without compromise. I know this can be hard when we are so used to it, but it’s time to say “enough” to Satan and not even allow him one day.
I tell you all of this because I love you.

More Of My God and All I Ask of You Obsession
Imagine for a moment...
God
No more talk of darkness, (1 John 1:5)
Forget these wide-eyed fears
I'm here, nothing can harm you
my words will warm and calm you (Isaiah 41:10)
Let me be your freedom, (2 Corinthians 3:17)
let daylight dry your tears. (Revelation 21:4)
I'm here with you, beside you, (Joshua 1:9)
to guard you (2 Thessalonians 3:3) and to guide you... (Isaiah 58:11)
Us
Say you love me every waking moment,
turn my head with talk of summertime...
Say you need me with you now and always...
Promise me that all you say is true
that's all I ask of you
God
Let me be your shelter (Psalm 91:4)
let me be your light (John 8:12)
You're safe, No one will find you
your fears are far behind you... (Psalm 27:1)
Us
All I want is freedom,
a world with no more night
and you, always beside me, to hold me and to hide me...
God
Then say you'll share with me
one love, one lifetime (1 John 4:16)
let me lead you from your solitude
Say you need me with you here, beside you...
anywhere you go, let me go too (Psalm 145:18)
Christine, that's all I ask of you...
Us
Say you'll share with me one love, one lifetime...
say the word and I will follow you...
Both
Share each day with me,
each night, each morning...
Us
Say you love me...
God
You know I do... (John 3:16)
Both
Love me - that's all I ask of you
Anywhere you go let me go too
Love me - that's all I ask of you...

The Gospel
What It Means to Be a Christian
Being a Christian is more than identifying yourself with a particular religion or affirming a certain value system. Being a Christian means you have embraced what the Bible says about God, mankind, and salvation. Consider the following truths found in the Bible.
God Is Sovereign Creator Contemporary thinking says man is the product of evolution. But the Bible says we were created by a personal God to love, serve, and enjoy endless fellowship with Him. The New Testament reveals it was Jesus Himself who created everything (John 1:3; Colossians 1:16). Therefore, He also owns and rules everything (Psalm 103:19). That means He has authority over our lives and we owe Him absolute allegiance, obedience, and worship.
God Is Holy God is absolutely and perfectly holy (Isaiah 6:3); therefore He cannot commit or approve of evil (James 1:13). God requires holiness of us as well. First Peter 1:16 says, You shall be holy, for I am holy.
Mankind Is Sinful According to Scripture, everyone is guilty of sin: There is no man who does not sin (1 Kings 8:46). That doesn't mean we're incapable of performing acts of human kindness. But we're utterly incapable of understanding, loving, or pleasing God on our own (Romans 3:10-12).
Sin Demands a Penalty God's holiness and justice demand that all sin be punished by eternal death (Ezekiel 18:4; Romans 6:23). That's why simply changing our patterns of behavior can't solve our sin problem or eliminate its consequences.
Jesus Is Lord and Savior Romans 10:9 says, If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. Even though God's justice demands death for sin, His love has provided a Savior who paid the penalty and died for sinners (1 Peter 3:18). Christ's death satisfied the demands of God's justice, and Christ's perfect life satisfied the demands of God's holiness (2 Corinthians 5:21), thereby enabling Him to forgive and save those who place their faith in Him (Romans 3:26).
The Character of Saving Faith True faith is always accompanied by repentance from sin. Repentance is agreeing with God that you are sinful, confessing your sins to Him, and making a conscious choice to turn from sin (Luke 13:3, 5; 1 Thessalonians 1:9), pursue Christ (Matthew 11: 28-30; John 17:3), and obey Him (1 John 2:3). It isn't enough to believe certain facts about Christ. Even Satan and his demons believe in the true God (James 2:19), but they don't love and obey Him. True saving faith always responds in obedience (Ephesians 2:10).
