Swordswoman Showdown Round 1 Part 3
Li Sushang (Honkai: Star Rail) vs Keladry of Mindelan (Protector of the small)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Better here in a "preferred character" sense, not "who would win in a fight")
Propaganda below cut
Sushang
A young knight from a long line of swordswomen.
Keladry
She’s in training to become & eventually is the first openly female knight in her realm; She looks out for those weaker than her, trains with weighted weapons to build strength and is the ideal knight. Also I just think she’s *sword* of cool :)

Synopsis: Moze goes shopping to purchase something for a certain someone. What on earth could that be? And who is he giving it to? Read to find out!
Word Count: 2.6k | Reading Time: 15 minutes
Note: Reader is referred with she/her pronouns and mentioned to be wearing a dress. I do not claim to know this character a 100%. I am writing him based off the voice lines and a some of the lore that I know about him.
Tumblr media
A bead of sweat begins to form on the elderly shopkeeper's temple. His gaze weary towards the grey-haired man before him. After all, Moze has yet to say anything in the past half-hour while intensely gazing down on the merchandise the shopkeeper has presented him. A hand on his hip while the other brushes lightly against his lips. His brows furrowed and lips pursed tightly.
What kind of merchandise could possibly cause such distress towards both Moze and the elderly? Well, the answer is actually quite simple: jewelry.
Oh, but not just any jewelry.
On the far right, there is a pair of earrings. Elegantly furled out petals that have a striking resemblance to wings with pearls of varying sizes at the very base, silver chains dangle with matching pearls. Next to that is a gold chain bracelet with a moon at the very center as the pendant accompanied by a pair of stars on either side. A constellation of tiny jewels from around the moon; it resembles that of the Capricorn. And lastly— a necklace. Silver chains with pearls in the softest shade of pink and white alternating to make a lovely pattern. Adjacent chains in between to showcase a gem shaped like a teardrop to complement the beads. And at the very center of it rests a dangling chain adorned with similar pearls and a small ribbon.
A part of him considered just buying all three of them. However, that may not get a positive feedback from the receiver. In all the while of knowing that person, he'd come to have a feeling that they'd feel flustered and guilty over such a purchase— even though it barely put a dent on his wallet. He'd rather not have them worry instead of enjoying the gift over his indecision. Though doubt did begin to eat away at his nerves the more that he stared at the jewelries before him. Questions begin plaguing his mind one after the other making his brows meet in frustration.
Would they even like any of these? Maybe they were too straightforward based on what he knew about them? Would they already have a plethora of similar items and prefer something new? What if they had recently changed their preferences with him unaware?
Moze lets out a disgruntled groan. The shopkeeper winces, worrying if he's somehow done something to displease the intimidating man before him (even though he's only stood there and kept to himself since presenting the items). Both of them were now comically distressed over the situation.
A moment later, Moze's phone vibrates.
Finally— his gaze averts from the assortment to fish out his phone. A message from Jiaoqiu. Target is on her way to the shopping district. He almost rolls his eyes at the term used. Although jokingly meant, still seemed quite crude considering his usual profession. Moze simply sends a single worded response before tucking the gadget back into his pocket.
With a final glance at the items, he takes a deep breath and finally chooses one. He hands it to the shopkeeper along with the strales to pay for it. The elderly man takes a relieved sigh, his shoulders sagging from the release of tension before turning to his side to neatly place it inside a box and tying a bow to keep it secure.
The moment that Moze receives it, he blends back into the shadows.
Tumblr media
Hours later, the sun begins to set. Golden hues cast over the city to create a picturesque scene. Most of the people begin their march home to bid the day farewell. The streets are kept lit by the lamps and establishments either still open or only starting to. Moze lingers in the corner of the street as he watched the people pass him by. His mind wanders far off as he rehearses a few lines in his head over and over again. Making small changes and adding a few words every now and then. All this as he patiently awaits for a certain message—
Ding! Ding! Ding!
There it is.
He doesn't even bother checking his phone, he already knows what the content of it would be. It doesn't take long for him to make his way down the street towards a nearby restaurant. From the outside, it would seem closed. Doors shut tight while the lights of the halls are turned off, leaving it to a mystery what lies inside.
While approaching, he hears your voice.
Moze stops for a moment to spot you with Guinaifen and Sushang. There's a blindfold over your eyes while the two lead you towards the restaurant. A hand reached out to nothing as if grasping for air while Sushang held the other. Guinafen warns you about a rock you need to step over, which you oblige in making a dramatic step— despite there actually being nothing. Sushang lets out a laugh before playful chastising the street performer for her mischief. Though both of them apologize at the pout forming on your expression.
The sight has the edges of Moze's lips curling upwards. He turns his head away to enter the back of the restaurant. By the time he enters the main hall, he can hear the soft murmurs and gossip amongst the people inside. A few feet scuffle around as everyone gets in place to be ready. Hushes amongst each other echo when muffled voices can be overheard outside the restaurant. The entire hall turns silent as the doors creak open.
Light from the street lamps illuminates three frames. Sushang lets go of your arm to shut the doors closed while Guinafen makes quick work of the blindfold over your eyes. The two of them step away from you to join in with the others in the dark, leaving you to let your eyes adjust to the lack of lighting.
Both of your hands reach out before you as you call out to the two girls. You take a step— and the lights turn on, the tip of your foot getting caught in the carpet, causing you to stumble forward. A small squeal slips past your lips as you feel your body falling. Moze catches on, his body moving before he could think. It only takes a fraction of a second before he catches you.
"Happy Birthday!"
Voices synchronized in greeting. Party poppers echo throughout the room. Colorful paper confetti sway in the air. Pastel colored ornaments decorate the walls of the restaurant matched with balloons and ribbons. Dearest friends stand around with party hats over their heads.
Though details of that can come later, no? What draws your attention the most is the man right in front of you. His familiar scent fills your senses. Your face buried against his chest. Gloved hands on your shoulders to help balance you, he makes sure to avoid scratching you with the sharp steel in one hand. The steady beat of his heart is pressed against your ear.
Oh, how lovely you looked in Moze's eyes.
You tilt your head enough to meet his gaze, and it's enough for that steady heartbeat of his to falter. He swallows, fingers twitching as if to refrain himself from tucking that stray lock of hair behind your ear. In that moment, it vaguely occurs to him to give you a greeting, but all he manages to do is part his lips—
"Okay, lovebirds!" Jiaoqiu announces with a clap of his hand, "You can have your moment with her later, Moze. Settle with sharing her with us for now."
Moze furrows his brows and casts his glance at the fox for those words while you pull away with cheeks stained a pinkish hue. The others chime in to steal you away for the festivities even if for a moment. Loved ones taking turns to greet you for the special occasion as the night goes on for the celebration.
Tumblr media
Throughout the trickling hours of the party, Moze keeps an eye on you. Catching glimpses of you speaking with the others. Opening the variety of gifts they've prepared for you. Cheering on Guinafen along with the others who perform on a makeshift stage. All of them enjoying the food and drinks laid out on the table.
In the midst of the raucous event, he catches your silhouette slipping through the crowds to make way for the stairs. Nobody seems to have noticed it just yet. The weight of the box tucked safely in his pocket urges him to follow after you. He keeps in mind to do it discreetly in hopes to have a moment with you. The fluttering of your dress just before you make turns along the building is all that he sees as he catches up without you noticing. Eventually, your path leads you to the balcony of the building.
The sight before him has him stopping in his tracks.
How kind of the moon to grace you with such elegant hues of her light. Your frame basks in the soft glow of it. Silken strands of hair shine akin to the finest silk as the evening breeze plays with wisps of your hair. There's a warm smile on your lips that's a sharp contrast to the coldness of the night. Perhaps all that was left would be a halo hanging over your head and wings to sprout behind your back for him to believe you'd secretly been a halovian this entire time. You kept your gaze on the celestial bodies painting the sky; all he could see was you.
A cold breeze rushes past, a shiver runs through your body from it. Your arms fold across your chest while the palm of your hands rub warmth into your own frame. A chuckle slips past your lips, accompanied by the fall of your expression as you mutter how you should have brought a jacket with you.
"Here," Moze snaps out of his daze to shrug off his hoodie and placing it over your shoulders. "It'll help with the cold."
You tense up at the brush of his fingers against your shoulders, your eyes wide at his sudden appearance. It takes a moment before you relax and hold the hoodie closer to you. The smile you wear seems to be wider than it was earlier as warmth begins to spread through your cheeks as well.
"Thank you." Your voice a gentle dulcet he'd never tire of. "I wasn't expecting to see you here."
"It's not expected for the celebrant to be away from the party either." Moze responds, taking his position beside you.
Your eyes flicker to the evening sky, and how beautiful it looked with all the dazzling stars and the moon full. What a lovely scene, no? And yet Moze kept his gaze steady on you. Taking in the sight of how the sky seemed to reflect in your eyes. Though he didn't want to make you uncomfortable with his staring, he looks to the sky as well. Only ever sneaking glimpses of you in your direction whenever he thinks you won't notice.
Small talk is exchanged between the two of you. Trivial events that have occurred throughout the day until now. Musing over the party that still rages on below despite the late hour. All the foods and gifts you've received are placed safely far from the crowd. Soft chuckles and easy glances are exchanged every so often. The noise of the festivities downstairs lulls into a soft hum in the background. With only the two of you in the balcony, it almost seemed like that moment was truly yours and his alone.
Moze takes in a deep breath— it falters by a fraction when you let out a hum to face him. Your eyes meet his, and somehow that's all he can think of. All the words he'd practiced the entire afternoon slipped past him like a shadow shying away from the sun. The seconds that pass by almost seem like a lifetime before he clears his throat to pull out something from his pocket.
"A gift." His tone would almost sound dull if it weren't for the hesitation in his voice.
In the palm of his hand rests a white box with a pink ribbon at the very top. He nudges it closer to you as if reassuring that it's yours to take. And you do. Your fingers brush against his as you hold the box in your hands, keeping it secure as though you're afraid the wind would steal it away from you. Moze drinks in every expression and detail that dances on your expression.
You glance back and forth between him and the gift as you tug on the end of the ribbon. Its silken material loosens and is undone swiftly, leaving only the box. Finally, you take off the lid of the box to reveal its content.
Inside rests a necklace. It was the choice Moze had made among the three earlier. The moonlight shines down on the item, casting an iridescent glow to it. Your eyes shine the same way the gems reflect the moon's glow. You lift your gaze to Moze, as if silently asking for reassurance it truly was yours and not some mistake he'd made. He nods.
It's yours.
"May I?" Moze gestures a hand over the item, gently picking it up before stepping behind you. He unclasps the hook of it and waits for you to sweep your hair aside. Once done, he places the accessory around your neck, the tips of his fingers brush against your skin. An accidental caress yet feels far too delicate and gentle to be a phantom's touch. He secures the necklace in place, tugging on it once before retracting his fingers.
He takes a step back and you tidy yourself a bit, letting your fingers feel the weight that rests on your neck. It wasn't heavy at all. Simply that the fact that the man beside you had been the one to give you such a thing was enough to remind you of its value. The pinkish hue on your cheeks resembles the dainty pearls around your neck.
How the way your face lights up makes him forget that it was still evening— Moze is unsure. All he knows is the gratitude he felt towards himself for choosing that gift for you. That you've come to appreciate such a small thing that the smile on your face was bright enough to sear itself into the back of his eyelids. So that even as he closes his eyes, he'll see this moment vividly with his eyes wide open.
Moze's feet move him closer to you before he could think better of it. His hand rests on top of yours, just right above where your racing heart resides. The back of his fingers brush against your cheek with such tenderness it could be reverent. His forehead rests against yours until your noses touch, and the warmth of his breath tickles your skin.
Close. Possibly far too close. Part of him warns to pull away lest he makes you uncomfortable. Just one more second. He almost voices out loud. Give him this one instance to be selfish. To let the growing greed in his heart that yearns for your proximity be sated just this once. Reprimand him afterwards— just don't despise him for it. His throat constricts, the words stuck in his throat. The way you look at him both serves as damnation and salvation to the man. How ironic is that? Enough to make a smile tug on his lips when he meets your gaze that is.
"Happy Birthday.”

I was actually stuck between putting this in your inbox or making a pdf file and sending it on disc. This was so fun to write that it shocked me seeing that it was over 2k words! I didn't think it'd be appropriate to send you that via inbox. But I don't really know how to edit on pdf to design it? Hence, I made a post abt it instead. Hope you don't mind? I'll still send you the file but it'll just be plain. Sorry!

Sudden realization that we now have a Smol Cloud Quintet of kids on the Luofu.
Tumblr media
Warning: contains minor spoilers for version 1.5 content.
After Huohuo's debut and the recent Trailblaze Continuance + Event, I've noticed that a few recurring faces seem to parallel the good ol' High Cloud Quintet of the Luofu, be it by accident or on purpose. And if you know me, then you may have noticed I really like to connect the dots (or in some cases, make up headcanon dots for funsies), so I had to put these thoughts into words.
Going clockwise from the center, we have:
1) The High Elder of the vidyadhara, well-known for proficiency in healing arts, designated mother hen, and.... significantly shorter than everyone else in the group. Poor Bailu. At least she gets to be a short gremlin, and that's neat! Go cause mischief, queen!
2) A talented swordsman who aspires to be the Sword Champion and has an affinity for ice. And for throwing sharp objects as an attack. Kinda funny how Jing Yuan is the only one of Jingliu's disciples that doesn't do that, and yet his own apprentice picks up the habit anyway.
3) A newbie Cloud Knight of somewhat traditional upbringing, who happens to be really impressed by their superior and gets noticed by them in turn at some point (see Sushang's About Yanqing line, and the latter calling for assembly when he joins a team with her specifically).
4) A foxian who's known to be very good at her job, but gets into a lot of trouble and earns a nickname for exactly that (Cursed One for Huohuo, Starskiff Killer for Baiheng), and still miraculously scrapes by every unfortunate encounter.
5) A crafty, short-lived outlander whose home planet was destroyed in their childhood, with them being taken to the Xianzhou as a result, and then rising to fame thanks to their creativity and fiery spirit. They also befriend the aforementioned newbie Cloud Knight, except there's lots of squabbles and teasing involved.
Personally I think they should all be friends. A silly lil group that circumvents the law and gets up to shenanigans. Half of them are already besties in canon too, so it's not particularly farfetched, and the potential interactions between the rest are fun to think about!
Bonus:

Oh my god, they know.

Lmaooooo the one with Yor Forger!Reader 😆 Any chance we could get that with Sushang, Feixiao and Qingque? 🤣
Just imagine…someone daring to take a bite—
And then straight keeling over dead to the world. ☠️

A/N: MY GIRLS ARE GETTING RECOGNITION‼️🗣️🔥✨
[Part 1] | [Part 3]

Sushang was eager. Very eager. Her wide grin could almost be mistaken for excitement—or was it fear? Either way, she was excited to try what you had prepared for your meal. After all, she was always willing to test her strength against challenges, even culinary ones.
Sitting at the table with her chopsticks poised, Sushang watched you carefully lift the lid from the steaming dish. Her eyes widened with hope, but as the lid was removed, a heavy, ominous cloud of smoke wafted up. Sushang’s eye twitched uncomfortably, but she pushed forward, determined to taste the dish.
A single bite.
The moment it hit her tongue, her entire face went pale. Her hand quivered as she swallowed—if you could even call it swallowing. Her stomach churned in rebellion, but her pride prevented her from showing weakness. For a few moments, Sushang managed to sit still. And then…
BAM!
Her eyes rolled back in her head, her chopsticks dropped, and she slumped forward onto the table with a loud thud.
"Th-the flavor... it’s... it’s like… poison, but worse." Her voice came in a dazed, muffled tone from beneath her arms.
You winced and muttered an apology, unsure whether Sushang had actually fainted or was simply overwhelmed by the sheer force of the meal. Either way, it was clear that your cooking had struck a blow greater than any battle wound.
Tumblr media
Feixiao always thought she could handle anything. She’d survived a life of violence, fought against abominations and enemies alike—how bad could a home-cooked meal really be?
When you called her over to try your cooking, she arrived with a casual, confident stride, expecting a delightful meal to complement her otherwise personality. But then the smell hit her—overpowering, strange, and almost wrong.
She eyed the dish warily, an unusual shudder running down her spine. "You... want me to eat this?"
Her heart told her she could handle anything. Her pride as a general told her she had no fear.
But as she took that first bite, her world shifted in a way it never had before. The moment the food touched her tongue, the fury of Moon Rage coursed through her. Not because of her affliction, but because her body rebelled against the impossible texture and the flavor so harsh that it nearly shredded her soul. Feixiao's eyes widened, her hand shot to her mouth, and before she could control herself, she vomited onto the floor.
“That,” she coughed, gasping for breath, “is a weapon of mass destruction.”
Her ears drooped, a rare moment of vulnerability seeping through her usual battle-hardened demeanor. You stared, horrified.
“Don’t worry,” Feixiao said, wiping her mouth and struggling to stay upright, “I’ll... I’ll survive.”
But just as she attempted to regain her composure, the general’s knees buckled, and she crumpled into the nearest chair. “Moon Rage... is kinder than this...” she muttered, slumping down in defeat.
Tumblr media
[Header credits]
Qingque had heard the rumors. The food that could make even the toughest warrior faint. She was curious but, above all else, intrigued by the possibility of surviving the meal. After all, as a fan of all things quirky, she wasn’t one to shy away from a challenge—no matter how lethal it seemed.
She sat across from you with a small grin on her lips, as if savoring the potential disaster. When the plate was set before her, the aroma was enough to make her eyes water. It wasn’t that it smelled good; no, it was suspicious. But Qingque was brave, so she lifted the chopsticks and took a tiny bite.
At first, it wasn’t so bad. There was an odd, almost humorous flavor to it. Like burnt something with an aftertaste of... did she detect metal? But she kept chewing, determined to understand this creation. The more she chewed, however, the worse it became.
It wasn’t food anymore—it was a force of nature, rising within her, threatening to take over her senses. Her cheeks flushed, her hand clutched the table, and her usually bright eyes narrowed.
“...No... no, this is—”
And then, with the most dramatic flair, Qingque flopped backward in her chair, one hand pressed dramatically to her forehead.
“Please... if there is an Aeon of Hunger, I beg of you... spare me,” she gasped, “I’m... dying.”
You were horrified, muttering frantically as you checked to make sure Qingque was still breathing. “Wait, no! You’re not—”
"I’m alive," Qingque groaned, lifting a hand. "But this... this is beyond death. I'm too alive. I don't know what's happening, but this... is not food. It’s a curse."

GIRL I JUST HAD THE MOST DAN HENG SHAMING BRAINROT 😭 Again, inspired by your writing of Dan Feng finding us in another lifetime. Darling's immortal bc you can't meet the reincarnated version of your yandere if you're short-lived.
We all know that Dan Feng's outfit is ✨conservative✨ while Dan Heng's IL outfit gives your grandparents a heart attack. So imagine him gaining memories of you, the darling he kidnapped in his past and also regaining the old obsession. And the first thing you do when you met Dan Heng IL is judge his outfit bc why is he dressed like...that?? Where's the honor and pride of the high elder?? He's trying to kidnap you again, in THAT outfit??
CW: hsr spoilers (dan heng companion mission), yandere, kidnapping, conservative attitude (maybe seems a bit sexist), (implied but not described) non-con
😂Love Dragon boys’ different attitudes towards clothes!! Dan Feng’s conservative attitude towards you and his clothes is something I definitely won’t shut up about 🤭
In order to answer, I studied Dan Feng and Dan Heng's clothes-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dan Feng's clothes are darker in color, the collars on both sides are higher, and there is a gemstone in the middle of the chest. And there is a picture of a crane on the clothes, which symbolizes nobility, elegance, longevity, luck and other positive meanings, suggesting his background and personality. In the animation trailer, Dan Feng sat quietly, even though he was locked by all the chains (implying the reincarnation fate of High Elder/that sin), he still closed his eyes quietly, without any sorrow, anger, or sadness on his face, like he doesn't care at all. And refer to the few clues now:
1) Dan Feng is described by Jing Yuan as "powerful", "beyond control".
Tumblr media
2) When he communicated with Yingxing in the past, he had a strong and calm tone here.
Tumblr media
At least it can be deduced that his character is a confident, powerful, charismatic, and even a bit tough dragon. As for Dan Feng who appears in the "Ichor of Two Dragons" animation, that "him" is the version Dan Heng understands. This may be much tougher than himself. As you can imagine, Dan Feng’s current fashion style is relatively conservative💕
As for Dan Heng, we all know what kind of character he is 😚 Let’s talk about clothes. In contrast, the colors of his clothes are brighter, showing that he is breaking away from the cycle of inheritance. Moreover, Dan Heng's clothes are much more revealing- his shoulders are exposed, and then his back and the middle of his chest are also exposed. The theme of his clothes is lotus, not Dan Feng's crane. The lotus is equally beautiful and elegant, but rises from the mud without stains (still looking at the light in the darkness). This is their different style.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the past life, Dan Feng bound you to his side. No matter what style of clothing you like, the High Elder has ordered you to change into this style- like this Vidyadhara Lady NPC. Traditional Xianzhou style clothes. If you expose a little bit, like these Xianzhou girls (Sushang, Yukong, Tingyun, Qingque etc), exposing shoulders, thighs, calves, Yandere! Dan Feng is not happy with this kind of dress. In his eyes, it is immoral - why most people in Xianzhou dress appropriately, you have to learn from those few people who dress like this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not to mention you plan to wear clothes from other planets/space civilizations💀💔What? Are you going to expose some skin on your chest? You don't even have any fabric on your waist! Those clothes disappear from your closet (um, they appear every time you act sad, but Dan Feng said it has nothing to do with him). Don't you notice that people are looking at you? Some people want to flirt with you.
Over the long centuries, the few exceptions were in private. For example, that time you bought a dragon tail and a cute revealing outfit and wore them to please your angry dragon husband. Dan Feng gently stroked your tail and pursed his lips.
After Dan Feng's reincarnation, you escaped from Luofu, took a spaceship, and traveled around various planets. Dan Feng has always forced you to stay with him. Now that you are free, you should be happy, but loss and sorrow haunt your heart.
The dragon who once said that no matter which reincarnation will find you...is it really gone?
Until you meet the boy. Those eyes that are as bright as the ocean, and similar dragon horns and tail.
"Found you."
It's been a long time since you've felt that fear of being captured. In panic, you pushed his chest and noticed his clothes, which turned into another kind of shock. Wait, where's the honor and pride of the High Elder?? Indecent?? The middle of his chest is even exposed.
This might be an odd focus for you about to be kidnapped, but you really haven't seen Dan Feng like this in hundreds of years. Dan Heng puts you on the Astral Express and selects a room for you. He will stick to your side at night, curl up with his tail and sleep with you. You realize the difference between him and Dan Feng, especially in your clothing attitude. He allows you to keep wearing whatever you like, March and Stelle discuss fashion trends with you, have a slumber party, laughing.
Sometimes, you miss Dan Feng and recall what they brought to you. You know they are two people. The changes they bring to you are etched deeply in your heart.

Dan Heng felt as if the last few days had passed like a kaleidoscope. A colourful mirage of emotions he didn't want to feel. Events that took all his strength out of him. Memories that weren't his and yet they haunted him like the ghosts of the elders in the Scalegorge Waterscape.
Only now, sitting by one of the waterfalls, did he get the impression that he finally had a moment of peace, torn away by the clawed claws of an evil fate. The quiet sound of the water was nothing like the voices of the soldiers who had encountered the mara a few days ago.
It took him a long time to realize a simple fact — he chose a place where HE would come. A typical source of water from which he could draw strength. He smiled bitterly and turned his back. There was no point in running away from here. Even if the beauty surrounding him suddenly turned ugly, leaving an unpleasant aftertaste.
His stay in Xianzhou Luofu turned his life upside down. The past had long legs. He ran as hard as he could but in the end it was faster. It caught him in a place he didn't want to return to. He wished that the wind playing in the branches of the twisted trees would blow away all thoughts from his head. Especially the one he had doubts about.
[Reader]. She flooded his mind like a wave. He rejected his past. He drew a line between himself and Dan Feng. The title of Imbibitor Lunae was no longer his. He was sure Bailu would do just fine. She kept Luofu safe. He left all the residents in good hands. He told everyone his name was Dan Heng. Many still saw him as a previous incarnation. And even though it hurt like old wounds, he rejected their opinions. The express crew were his family and they didn't care about the sins of who he once was. Only their opinion mattered. At least that's what he thought.
Jing Yuan, although he wasn't like Blade, stuck to his previous name quite stubbornly. At least he was aware that the general was doing it out of habit, not out of pure hatred. Something he couldn't say about the old Yingxing. [Reader] was neither of them. She called him Dan Heng from the very beginning. Sometimes he wondered if they met after all of this, if she would still hold on to it. If she hadn't stood next to Sushang that day and met him first as an archivist, would she still have had reservations? Although he wasn't Dan Feng in her mouth, he was Dan Feng in her eyes. He had seen it in every conversation they had ever had since the truth came out and she managed to recognize him.
Her eyes traced the pointy ears and followed the emerald horns even when they weren't there. She involuntarily talked about the things that Dan Feng loved. She recalled the times when he was still next to her, becoming embarrassed rather quickly when she realized what she was doing. He would interrupt anyone else who was doing it. This double standard only existed with her and it was eating him from the inside.
Dan Heng bit his lip. He was like a gust that sometimes met the water. He rushed over the surface and saw his reflection but he was not a lake. What a strange feeling it was to be and not be loved at the same time. [Reader] loved his reflection. He could show it for a short while for her but no matter what he did, he couldn't become water because he was wind.
It wasn't that he wanted to become Dan Feng. He hated his previous incarnation. Who he was and what he did. His predecessor followed him step by step, reminding him of himself and not letting him be who he wanted. But why did [Reader] have to be in love with him? In that hidden part of himself that he never wanted to become.
This love was like a sea current. The swift current seemed to carry him away without any hope. And maybe because it resembled water, he wondered if it was his feelings, or maybe the remnants of the attachment of a former self that he had tried so hard to let go of. After all, they had known each other for such a short time, and he, as he deeply wanted to believe, was not a man who would give his feelings to anyone he came across. On the other hand, March immediately noticed that he was in love and said it was obvious. So maybe it was him after all?
Dan Heng from [Reader] didn't sound like Dan Feng. Even if it was hiding behind it. Maybe he could pretend to be like him? He turned back towards the waterfall and looked at his reflection. Ripples in the water obscured his vision.
He wouldn't. He didn't want to be him. Never. Even for her.
So maybe she could pretend? After all, he looked similar and had a fraction of his former power...
He shook his head. Not at this price. Neither of them would be happy.
At least he had memories. Even if they weren't his. Glimmers of light amidst the dark void of forgotten days. Sometimes they came back involuntarily. He hated the echo of Dan Feng's laughter, even though he felt like the joy was his own, but he loved [Reader's] laughter. Her silhouette looming somewhere under his eyelids. The same one that came back to him when they sat on the stairs after sunset after a hard day's work. The warmth of her lips, once so close, now within reach but at the same time eons away. How easy it was to lose himself in this old reality that was not his own. In that which interspersed his nightmares with sweet peace.
But these were stories of bygone days from several hundred years ago and he had to constantly remind himself that they did not belong to him.
The sound of familiar footsteps sounded on the path. The wind brought the sound of trampled leaves. He didn't need to turn around to know who was standing there. Of course she figured out where to look for him. This was the place HE would came to.
— Dan Feng.
This was the first time something like this had happened. Until now, she had always been careful not to use his pre-reincarnation name.
Maybe it was the sight of him surrounded by a familiar waterfall. Or one of the memories gnawed by the teeth of time, which now came to life in her eyes. He couldn't find it among the dark depths of his memory. If it existed, it belonged only to her. It was probably even better that way. This made "Dan Heng, not Dan Feng " easier to leave his mouth.
He wasn't ready for the regret that appeared on [Reader's] face. Nor for a tear that gathered in the corner of the eye, only to quickly disappear under a hard-blinking eyelid in confusion. However, he did not expect the feelings that spread around his heart even more. Jealousy, sadness and nostalgia of days gone by. He never found out if they really belonged to him. They were floating somewhere on the transparent surface of water, touched by the gust of wind.

Various HSR Characters x gn!reader
✧their reaction to receiving flowers
✧fluff, genshin ver 1 & 2
Tumblr media
You got them flowers? How lovely! They love that you've thought of them while you were out and they find it endearing that you've bought them a gift. It's very sweet and now they'd like to do something in return for you. Whether that be getting you a gift or going out with you somewhere, whatever the case may be, they will pay you back for it!
-March, Asta, Yanqing, Topaz, Sushang
A gift? For them? You shouldn't have. They do appreciate the thought a lot and they'll thank you for the sweet gift. It'll go somewhere that they can see it everyday, possibly on their bedside table so that they can look at you and see the pretty flowers that you had picked out specifically for them.
-Kafka, Jing Yuan, Himeko, Natasha, Bronya
Really, you bought them a gift? What are they meant to do with these flowers?! They've never really had an interest in receiving gifts and would much rather receive love in other ways but still it is a gift from their beloved and so they have no choice other than to cherish with their whole heart. Not that they'd ever tell you that they do.
-Dan Heng, Silver Wolf, Blade, Herta, Seele, Fu Xuan
A gift is their favorite way to show their love for you. They'd much rather have you on the receiving end of the gift and so they probably beat you to it. You received a gift right before you were going to head out to get those flowers for your beloved. It seems they just knew that you were going to get them something and beat you to the punch.
-Yukong, Tingyun, Serval, March, Guinaifen
It seems you've flustered them with this sudden gift! Give them a kiss and their face might turn even redder. They get very happy and love your gift to them, no matter how random it might have been. It's something they'll cherish and get a little sad when it starts to wilt.
-Gepard, Luka, Yanqing

Ooo i just got called out by that (hook still at Lv.1 at e3)
Well, in the case of Hook, she thinks (and this is reinforced by all the adults) that the Aeon of Fate wants to keep her safe! Because the Aeon knows best, and obviously, this is one of those moments.
While some of the older followers are more saddened by this, Asta and other followers that have responsibilities are thankful that they were given the strength and use it to do their duties more easily.
Teens like Clara, Yanqing, and HuoHuo, however....
Tumblr media
Silence falls upon the teens as they take a break from training on the Astral express, seeing the adults come back from another successful adventure with their grace, the faint feeling of divinity that enveloped the train leaving it soon after they settled in.
Yanqing looks over at the other teens in envy as they talk about the small adventures they sometimes joined their Aeon on.... Lynx looked particularly pleased as she recounted a valiant fight against a silvermane commander that she participated in.
It had only been a few hours since she became a vessel of Fate, quickly gaining power, and only a few of them could imagine of, unless you were Qingque or Pela, though the latter had confessed that her growth had been stopped as soon as a certain member of the Nameless reawakened his Vidyadhara powers.
Still, surrounded by other vessels that were younger than him, though being a teenager himself by the Xianzhou standards still stung. Was he not strong enough? Not capable enough? He knew that Sushang felt the same, but she still had something that he envied, she was at least a vessel with multiple glowing eidolons. He wasn't even chosen.
.
.
.
The Aeon was there when he fought the Stellaron hunters, when he fought Jingliu and he still lost, despite how their grace had done their damndest to help him triumph, guiding Pollux as she fought him under the control of that wicked woman, Kafka... were those battles, tests?
Did the others have to face such things before they became vessels? Has he failed in the eyes of Fate? Was it the will of Fate that he could never be chosen? He sat there polishing his swords as doubt continued to swirl in his mind, he has to get better, for himself, and to prove that he was worthy enough for the Aeon to look upon him as a vessel worth relying on. The deep-seeded fear of abandonment rearing its ugly head the longer he dwelled on it.
He needed to train, get his mind off of it.
Silver Wolf was getting bored, her games had gotten boring, and having no part in Elio's current script aside, she had to start from scratch, thanks to Herta and Screwllum* removing her accounts... along with the fact that she wasn't chosen as a vessel,
It shouldn't bother her. This was fine, even Kafka wasn't chosen, the gacha didn't roll in her favour and all that. But it did sting, especially when Blade became a vessel, one of the main vessels, always returning back to base healed and with an expression of peace, unnerving to those who hadn't spent any length of time around him.
Sending a hologram to the Astral express, she had the chance to talk to Pollux, to connect to their Aeon before the faint divinity she could feel faded away.
She could never get used to it, the feeling of something watching you from every angle, seeing you, and through you. As the 'hacker', being unable to hide behind a screen, a hologram never sat right with her... she would only show herself when she wanted to cause chaos, or something really peaked her interest.
But lately, it seemed like the world was shifting again. The way that the other vessels moved seemed to be more.... lethargic, like their god had gotten tired and bored of them, it was unnerving to see the usually chipper and smiling members of the Astral express like this.
Until she found out the reason for this development, their god had encountered a lull in interest, much of the content had become tedious, boring, and much like a chore. But it would be alright, surely this game world would expand and bring their gaze back to her.
Just need to wait for the next update.
-
Clara always strived to be a good kid, caring for everyone in the vagrants' camp, making sure all the machines were in working condition and such.
It was always her dream to have everyone get along, no fighting or resentment, so she was overjoyed when the Aeon set their sights on her home, maybe they could really help unite everyone, sure they fought with Mr. Svarog, but it was a misunderstanding!
And after they came to help life had been slowly improving for everyone in Belebog.
They no longer had to fight with the other miners, and they could finally see the sunlight, feeling the breeze from the overworld. As a whole new world of opportunities opened up for her and the people of the Underworld.
But as she saw the others become blessed, blessed to help, blessed to make a difference in their slowly recovering planet, she felt empty.
Why was she not allowed the same? Was she not good enough? Had her efforts to help those she cared about lacking in the eyes of their Aeon?
Even if the other vagrants and robots assured her of the contrary, that seed of doubt would stay in her heart, taking root and slowly growing.
Nourished by the passing of time, as their Aeon moved to help other worlds, akin to a wound left to fester.
She hoped that one day she would be good enough to be seen by their god.
All she could do was wait.

Some Things About Ma Feima (Yanqing) I Learned
And it matters to HSR Yanqing only because some people have had what they heard about Ma Feima affect their views of him even though it really SHOULDN'T imo.
The underlying point I'm trying to get at is that when we hear about parts of a story or characters we aren't familiar with, it'd be fairer to at least try to look into it more before making final judgments, especially if we only hear see memes and short summaries from a person over the internet.
If you're also interested in this topic then this will be very long, so thank you for bearing with me.
And if not, especially because you don't care or don't want to read about 7S/HI3 Yanqing then that's also fair, Ma Feima and Yanqing are different characters, and I hope you have a good day!
(NOTE: CW for the mention/discussion of a notable age gap between characters in the story. There are details surrounding that but I'd rather place this here for convenience. Look out for yourselves and stay safe!)
It's wild how many different versions of what happened in the Seven Swords visual novel, which is understandable due to its lack of official translation + not being complete (as far as I know? I am open to corrections overall). But the amount of details that go missing or are incorrect is notably large and I find this situation interesting. As mentioned, anyone who knows better (content, translation-wise, etc.), please correct me on anything if needed.
I will use some screenshots from the videos that translated the available chapters (1-2 and part of the beginning/prologue of 3, I believe). The translations are not entirely accurate so heck, I might be wrong on stuff too.
From personal experience, there were two things I heard about Ma Feima from HI3 players:
He killed his master, Fu Hua.
He cheated on his wife.
Legit, the first time I encountered these points, it was as simple as that. And I took it at face value because it understandably takes effort to look into this stuff and a lot of players from HI3 were saying it. But over time, curiosity got to me and I wanted to see the context surrounding it, and here's what I found.
However, here are some things to know about Seven Swords and Fu Hua's disciples:
The Seven in order are: Lin Zhaoyu, Su Mei, Jiang Wanxi, Jiang Wanru, Cheng Lingshuang, Ma Feima, and Qin Suyi
The present of the VN is set in 1496 while the assassination of Fu Hua was twenty years prior in 1476.
Ma Feima, despite being the 6th disciple, is the youngest.
Ma Feima's original name was Yanqing but changed it to Feima when he got older.
Qin Suyi, the 7th disciple, is Sushang's mother in both HI3 and HSR.
Lin Zhaoyu, the 1st disciple, and Ma Feima are married.
Onto the points:
He killed his master, Fu Hua.
Yes, he was involved but some attribute the plan to him. BUT he wasn't. The person who formed this plan was Su Mei, the 2nd disciple.
Supposedly, all seven disciples participated though most, if not all of them, were reluctant to do so.
They were all bothered by Fu Hua's, effective but cruel way of dealing with Honkai-infected people (She would wipe out whole villages if even ONE person was infected).
The last straw for the disciples was when Jiang Wanru, the 4th disciple, got infected.
It was in that battle that Ma Feima got the scar on his face.
Also to note, Cheng Lingshuang, the 5th disciple, was the one to get the last hit on Fu Hua.
This is a straightforward point, a lot of people know this stuff, and is probably the point that's more elaborated on. But I still wanted to mention it because, oftentimes, a lot of the credit for the plan, and sometimes the last hit is given to Ma Feima. It erases the actions of other pretty interesting characters and is simply incorrect.
Onto the second point, because this is where things get really interesting and a lot is going on.
2. Ma Feima cheated on his wife.
This has given the idea that he had an affair, cheating on his wife, Lin Zhaoyu
No, he didn't.
It is true that he was in love with Su Mei but she never loved him back and was very clear about it so in a literal-traditional sense, he didn't have an affair.
Emotionally, yeah.
It seems that he had been attached to her since he was a child.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lin Zhaoyu seems to have always been aware of that and still pursued to marry him.
Tumblr media
BIG NOTE: This is where I'm going to cover the age gap stuff.
One thing that I have rarely seen anyone mention is the large gap between Lin Zhaoyu and Ma Feima in age.
It's said that Lin Zhaoyu is 15 years older than Su Mei.
Tumblr media
Supposedly, Qin Suyi was around eight years old when Fu Hua found her.
Remember, Ma Feima is the youngest of the disciples.
I wouldn't have harped as hard about the age gap if they met/didn't know each other in Ma Feima's childhood, but the disciples technically grew up together so I found it to be questionable.
For reference:
Tumblr media
In order, that's Lin Zhaoyu, Su Mei, and Ma Feima when they were younger.
At minimum and based on all the searching and math, at minimum, Su Mei would be thirteen there, and by the 15-year age gap, Zhaoyu would have been 28 years old.
Now, based on the writing, Zhaoyu and Feima most likely got married in the twenty years between the assassination of Fu Hua and the present of Seven Swords.
The youngest Feima would've been at the assassination was seventeen years old at that point.
For the present of the story, Zhaoyu, and Su Mei are 56 years old and 41 years old respectively. Feima is likely in his thirties.
Like I said, I'm making a big point to this because, like, what the heck. That's MAJORLY concerning even if you tried to reason your way around it. Besides any potential "normal in the era" type stuff and that they got married when they were both adults, it's still a huge yikes, isn't it? Also, I've seen barely anyone mention that, and the ones I did see it from, it was when I was looking into the visual novel.
It's mostly because Yanqing is the one in HSR, he's the character that gets the most eyes. And when people only know him as a "master-killing wife cheater" without any of the context surrounding it, it's a huge shame, albeit fair if people don't want to actively look into it themselves. But because a notable chunk of players have let those perceptions have weight over an unrelated by anything but appearance, old name, and the parallel of (potentially) killing a master.
The circumstances surrounding the two are very different.
HSR Yanqing has Jing Yuan to raise and guide him safely through his early life. He's still very young and while stubborn, has a good head on his shoulders, and has a lot of potential to grow into someone strong and stable.
7S/HI3 Ma Feima on the other hand, is shown to have grown very differently from his younger self.
Tumblr media
He is far from enjoying life, and don't get me wrong, he isn't completely innocent.
Tumblr media
But he's completely aware and is miserable.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's a lot more I could cover in terms of Ma Feima, his circumstances, and the things about the characters around them, but my brain is so fried lol. All-in-all, his story alongside the seven, is very...complicated.
My main thing is that, hey, maybe we should be a bit more vigilant when we learn things about characters. Beyond fiction, misinformation spreads very easily because we, understandably, take things at face value. In terms of media literacy, we see it time and time again when characters get reduced to a singular trait or a ship or get heavily misunderstood by the audience because a simplified summary will never do the context justice.

Lingshuang and my autistic thoughts about her
An infodump about my favorite Honkai character, Fu Hua’s 5th disciple. 🙂‍↕️👉👈
Tumblr media
Her birth name is Cheng Lingshuang, though I’ll only be calling her by her first name for reasons I’ll explain later. While her exact origin is unknown, she was found as a child by Fu Hua as part of the cult of Wangshan mountain, making her likely an orphan or the daughter of cultists. (The former is probably much more likely)
Tumblr media
Autism coding point no 1: this is obvious I don’t even need to say anything.
Tumblr media
After joining Taixu Mountain Sect as Fu Hua’s fifth disciple, she went on to become the strongest out of the seven, mastering all of the aggregates of Taixu spare for Blade Sanction(/aka Sword Intent). While the reason for her lack of mastery over Blade Sanction is unexplained, mastery of it is not related to skill, so it does not diminish her martial abilities. My personal speculation is that it’s because Blade Sanction involves forming a specific connection between wielder and sword, and Lingshuang practices lack of attachment from worldly things, weapons included.
Tumblr media
During the assassination, she was the one to deal the final blow against Fu Hua, striking her in the forehead and shattering her Xuanyuan sword in the process.
Upon her departure from Mt. Taixuan, she went on to defeat multiple masters of martial arts and became infamous within the jianghu— partially because of the fact that she won every battle with only a single move. During this time, she did take up another Xuanyuan sword, but it’s unknown whether that was Fu Hua’s sword or if she borrowed it from someone else. (Su Mei suspects it was Hua’s sword, but I’m not sure if that’s actually true but it’s a valid suspicion)
Anyways she ends up going to jail for her exploits and gets broken out by Su Mei and Ma Yanqing. After, she decides to retire in the northern desert and travels to the edge of the central plains with Qin Suyi. She lives off in her little hut in the desert for several years before Suyi comes back with a kid in tow and asks her to take her daughter as her disciple.
Lingshuang is a person who holds personal debts to a very high importance, as well as a person who is very protective of people who matter to her, even when she rarely shows affection to such people in typical ways. This blind faith in her peers is a nativity that Suyi is able to take advantage of by implanting a false memory in Lingshuang using her Xuanyuan Sword’s Blade Sanction ability. Lingshuang remembers an event which never happened where Suyi saved her life during the time they travelled together, and thus, believes herself to be in Suyi’s debt. Thus, she agrees to take Sushang as her disciple.
One thing to be noted about Lingshuang and her inter-personal relationships is her complete disregard of filial piety. A very important concept in China, especially ancient China, filial piety is the respect one should show for the people in their life such as one’s parents, elders, siblings, master or teacher, and other important life figures.
The first glaring example of her being unfilial is her lack of use of her surname. While it’s common to refer to a close friend by only first name, most often when their name is multiple letters (ex: calling Qin Suyi by Suyi is affectionate, while calling Su Mei as just Mei doesn’t land quite the same way). Lingshuang is NOT an example of this, as she specifically introduces herself as only Lingshuang. Her name tag in the VN only reads “Lingshuang,” while characters like Suyi and Sushang who are often called by only first name still have their full names in their name tags. The only times where she’s called Cheng Lingshuang is when she’s introduced as a toddler, and another example where Senti is throwing shade on her name to Sushang and purposely being disrespectful. Keeping one’s father’s name is an important part of filial piety, and women do not change their surname when they marry to maintain their father’s surname. Changing or removing one’s surname is akin to disowning one’s father.
(Pictured: Senti beef)
Tumblr media
Another person one should be filial to is their master, which Lingshuang is obviously not. I actually asked the 7s author to elaborate on Lingshuang’s specific feelings about Fu Hua out of curiosity, and here’s what he said.
Tumblr media
“Lingshuang thinks Fu Hua is a mysterious, indifferent, and weird master, and isn’t interested in getting to know her deeper.”
Basically, Lingshuang holds no filial respect for her master, putting the same amount of effort into their relationship as Fu Hua does (Fu Hua dgaf about building genuine deep relationships with her disciples). She is also very unfilial because she stabbed her in the forehead. 🙁
Twenty years later and Lingshuang has in fact taken a couple of disciples of her own in addition to Sushang. We barely hear about them because they aren’t that important to her— she lacks the master/disciple filial notions in both directions. It’s not that she dislikes them, but she only sees them as people who she teaches rather than someone she owes a connection and relationship with.
This brings up the most important point— why isn’t she like that with Sushang? It’s because Lingshuang doesn’t lack care for other people; rather, she cares for people based on genuine closeness rather than because of titles such as disciple or master or family. She doesn’t feel obligated to be close to someone society would expect her to be filial to when they aren’t someone she cares about. So, Lingshuang’s care for Sushang comes from a genuine familial affection rather than an obligation as a master. Even SENTI acknowledges the two of them as having a familial relationship.
Tumblr media
(She is definitely not talking about Suyi since Suyi is the only one who didn’t participate in the assassination.)
Sushang isn’t the only person she’s close with— she does have a sense of camaraderie with her fellow disciples, while not as deep. Lin Zhaoyu did partially raise her, her thoughts about Su Mei are unknown, she was willing to risk fighting her master to save Jiang Wanru, she enjoys somewhat affectionately tormenting Ma Yanqing, and overall she’s probably closest with Qin Suyi even though I wouldn’t call them quite ‘friends.’ She is nowhere as close with any of her martial siblings as she is with Sushang.
Next to continue on the autism coding point:

(Pls take my translation with a grain of salt and not total accuracy because I don’t speak Chinese and am just googling what things mean 😭)
“As the fifth disciple of Taixuan, except for Chiyuan Zhenren (Fu Hua’s title, “red kite true Daoist spiritual master”), she is the only person in the past 100 years to have comprehended the supreme skill “Edge of Taixuan.”
At the age of two, she began practicing martial arts, and achieved the level of “Taixuan” (Highest level of Blade Mantra) at the age of 12. She was known as a master of the blade, at ease, indifferent, and an unparalleled swordsmaster.
Lingshuang has been holding a sword for 37 years of her life, but she has never truly stepped into this world.
She has never experienced setbacks, never experienced failure, and is bound by neither desire or attachments.
Common sense, rules, logic, rationality, worldly affairs, binds to all things mundane, these were things Lingshuang never cared for or payed attention to.”
(And an excerpt from the next part that tumblr won’t let me post the screencap of cause I can only post 10 images wtf 😭😭)
“Those lucky enough to be familiar with her (Lingshuang) will know…
She claims to have a foothold of independence and self reliance in the world.”
To clarify what this means, historically, the kind of lifestyle she lives is very unusual for a woman in 15th century China. She’s essentially a single mom, she lives in her own house, farms her own food, makes her own wages, is unmarried and uninterested in marrying, lives in the middle of nowhere, lives a lifestyle focused around martial arts, and hardly ever talks to people. Societal rules and standards mean nothing to her.
So, saying she “hasn’t entered the world,” refers to her lack of interaction with society and its expectations, yet her claim of “independence and self reliance” means that she does in fact live her life, just in her own way. Essentially: she lives in her own world.
My next point on the autism coding: the literal entire description on her specific daily routine.
“When it was still dark outside the window, Lingshuang had woken up. She always wakes up at this time, neither early or too late.
After washing in a basin of cold water and getting dressed, she meditates cross legged on the bed and recites the Blade Mantra silently. One thought might take two hours to pass, and even a strike of lightning couldn’t disrupt her.
Then, she gets up and sweeps the floor with a broom. When the house is cleaned, she’ll go to the small nearby market to buy some pancakes and mutton.
If she were to run out of water, she’d have to travel to the well to bring a few buckets of it.
After breakfast, she’d sit down next to an old loom and spin silk. Once, she could spin a satisfactory silk in one day. After having taken in Sushang, the process was greatly slowed down. Now, it can take up to a week— and no shorter than four days.”
Next: about her stigmata! Lingshuang is one of the few characters to have a natural stigmata. While we don’t know what it looks like, I personally suspect it’s the Taixuan sect symbol (Lin Zhaoyu’s huadian and Totori’s stigmata), located on the forehead. There’s a lot of importance placed with the diamond shape on the forehead, from Senti having a diamond from her hairpiece dangling there, Fu Hua having been stabbed there, and Totori (a bearer of Fu Hua’s stigmata in GGZ) having her stigmata there, and more decorations used when characters (Kiana, Senti, Sushang) are using Eminence.
Tumblr media
A quote, Kevin speaking to Durandal in reference to Lingshuang, “After all, except for someone a long time ago... You may be the first human being who will not be negatively affected by a stigmata at all.”
And a conversation between Fu Hua and Senti:
HoS: …Is Lingshuang still around?
FH: it’s been five hundred years.
HoS: …Oh, that’s a pity. The kid was the real monster. You didn’t tell Kevin about her, did you?
FH: He knows.
HoS: Oh, that’s why he feels so confident about his Project Stigma. Such a perfect example for him to follow.
My last point about Lingshuang is her sense of humor and playfulness that’s often missed or misinterpreted by the people around her. Most people perceive her as cold, to the point where Ma Feima is surprised that she is upset he wounded Sushang, not thinking she would have genuine care for her disciple. This is partially exacerbated by the fact that her jokes are said with a straight face and taken at face value. Ex: Ma Feima was talking about his horse, and she asks him if horse meat tastes any good, which he takes as an insult rather than a joke. Sushang was uncomfortable sleeping in a bed with a man and Lingshuang remarks she’s a bad teacher for not teaching her kid sex ed jokingly, during a serious conversation. She also asks Otto to strip naked to check his wounds in a very straightforward way that confuses him. She is misunderstood a lot by the way she makes joking comments and playful jabs which she sees as affectionate, but others sometimes do not.
Tldr: Lingshuang is the strongest human being of her time who stabbed her master in the forehead, fucked off to the middle of nowhere, and accidentally became a single mom.
