It was a place where she grew up, and where she learned almost everything about the force. This used to be her home before it was destroyed, and almost all of the force users were killed, or even tortured by the empire. After her memories came back it was hard for the woman to trust many people, especially strangers because she didn't know their intentions. But the force seemed calm, so that was why she even offered the man a seat next to her. "They should. Soon enough I'm sure the children would be playing around in the snow if it came." And she too would spend her time in the snow.

"My thanks" and a relief really. He was used to his side hurting, and if it came down to it then he could carry on despite it. But having the option to sit did make things easier, and gave him a chance to recompose himself. "That is a good thing really, people should be out getting air, even if it is turning colder now" and now he probably sounded old, though he also knew that he was, far older than he'd ever admit.

Subject displays unique curse-anchoring effect, able to take various curses onto itself and nullify them, either permanently or temporarily. The bounds of this ability have yet to be thoroughly tested, in order to avoid distressing or neutralizing the Subject. Russell reveals Verstappen threat in remarkable attack

George Russell has launched a scathing attack on Max Verstappen following the world champion’s criticism of his conduct in the stewards’ room in Qatar.

Verstappen said he lost all respect for Russell because “I’ve never seen someone trying to screw someone over that hard”, as the Dutchman received a one-place grid penalty for driving too slowly in qualifying. Verstappen made even stronger comments to Dutch television post-race, but Russell claims the four-time world champion then threatened to intentionally take him out of the race.

“I find it all quite ironic seeing as Saturday night he said he was going to purposefully go out of his way to crash into me and ‘put me on my f****** head in the wall’,” Russell told select media including RACER. “So to question somebody’s integrity as a person, while saying comments like that the day before, I find is very ironic, and I’m not going to sit here and accept it.

“People have been bullied by Max for years now, and you can’t question his driving abilities. But he cannot deal with adversity. Whenever anything has gone against him – Jeddah ’21, Brazil ’21 – he lashes out. Budapest this year, the very first race the car wasn’t dominant, crashing into Lewis, slamming his team…

“For me, those comments on Saturday night and Sunday were totally disrespectful and unnecessary. Because what happens on track, we fight hard, that’s part of racing. What happens in the stewards’ room, you fight hard, but it’s never personal. But he’s taken it too far now.”

Fully recounting the interaction between the two, Russell added: “ to me privately, straight out of the stewards.

“He said, ‘I don’t know why you would want to screw me like this, I’m so disappointed in you. I was going to not even race you tomorrow, I was going to let you by, but now if I have to, I will purposely go out of my way to put you on your f****** head in the wall.’ So I don’t understand why he was so unnecessarily aggressive and violent in that regard.”

While unaware of Russell’s latest response, Verstappen doubled-down on his comments from Qatar during an Abu Dhabi Grand Prix press conference. But beyond the verbal exchanges, the Mercedes drivers says he also takes exception to the way Verstappen races.

“(I’m speaking out) because he’s come out in the media, and I feel has disrespected me as a driver,” said Russell. “I’ve known him for 12 years, we’ve had respect with one another beforehand. We’ve never had any collisions or… In the junior categories, he was always one – Max is a year older than me, so we only crossed paths once, 2011 but we never really had any sort of comings together.

“But we’ve got a guy who’s on the top of this sport who feels he’s above the law, and I don’t think that’s right.

“I admire his on-track battles, and when he’s hard and aggressive. But what we saw in the end of the season in ’21 or what we saw in Mexico with Lando, they weren’t hard, aggressive maneuvers. They were ‘do or die. I’m willing to take this guy out’. Which I don’t think is the way we should go racing.

“I honestly just want to set the record straight, to be honest. Because it’s just a total double standard that he has for the regulations, and just thinking that he is above everybody else.

“So it’s not me trying to assert my leadership style or anything. It’s just somebody has come out and said that I’m a two-faced motherf****r, and he’s entitled to his own opinions. But coming out and saying that publicly, and slamming me publicly, I’m just not going to accept it, and I’m going to tell people what the reality was.

“He pushes himself to the absolute limit week in, week out, and in 95 percent of the scenarios, that is incredible to see, and I respect him for that 95 percent. But there have been incidents that have gone unpunished. Maybe that is why he thinks he can get away with murder. But that is not the world we live in, and actions have consequences.”

Russell also says he lost respect for the way Verstappen has handled adversity at times this season, again citing the Hungarian Grand Prix where the Red Bull driver was extremely vocal on team radio. 

“It can’t just keep going on like that. For me, it’s interesting, this whole regard with him and his own team,” he said. “They’re doing their utmost to get Horner out of Red Bull, but at the very first race that he wasn’t competitive, he was absolutely slamming his team, and I know for a fact the week after, a quarter of his engineering team were sending their CVs to Mercedes, to McLaren, to Aston.

“So I don’t respect somebody who doesn’t appreciate those who have given him the chance to perform, because these last 12 races, he has had a car that is of normal competitiveness, and he’s been in the fight the same way as myself, Lewis (Hamilton), Charles (Leclerc), Carlos (Sainz), Lando and (Oscar) Piastri have been. And that’s how it should be.

“I feel like we all need to lead by example here. He’s the biggest, most successful guy in the sport for the last couple of years. He can do what he wants in his own business, but when he starts throwing comments around like he did on Sunday night about me, I’m not just going to sit there and accept it.”

Nova felt calmer in Ivy Cove than in the temple, and she didn't need to worry about a war anymore. She could simply be Nova, instead of a general or a Jedi. Natasha had lost track of time, lost count of the many days that had passed. Somehow, no matter the days, it didn't quite feel normal. Then again, what was normal? To the brunette the idea of a life with danger around every corner, the hectic rush of trying to fight the fight others could not; that was what felt normal. I think another reason I don't like the writing in Frontiers is that it feels... egotistical? Like idk the entire air around the games just gives off "Oh here's the game that will save us from the big bad 2010's writing, so praise it!"

Also just how I feel the more dramatic parts feel trying too hard, like when Sonic is slowly being corrupted, I felt next to nothing... the game felt like it was grabbing me by the shoulders and going "See this scene??? See how much pain Sonic is in??? FEEL SOMETHING!!!"

I use the word "pretentious".

Frontiers clearly aims to have a different story than usual. Event-wise, it's pretty paper thin: Sonic rescues his friends and uncovers the mystery of these new islands he's stuck in. No big deal, Sonic games don't need a big complex plot. But unlike, say, Heroes or Generations, Frontiers has little to no levity, the music is bombastic in an attempt to inspire awe and wonder, and it's heavy, heavy on character interactions. Introspections, even. Amy, Tails, Knuckles and Eggman are supposedly eviscerated by the writing, with all their fears and doubts and desires exposed, like a drawn out character analysis and, yes, a blatant rerailment from the terrible Pontaff games. Tails and his arc that is literally "wow I sure sucked in Forces, what was up with that" is the most obvious example of this, but I have talked extensively how Frontiers feels like a huge love letter to SA1 in the worst of ways.

Like, alright. Let's be real. Games like ShTH, '06 and Forces wanted to be taken seriously too. They did not succeed at it, for various reasons. And while ShTH makes me laugh for how tonally dissonant it is, and I don't think Forces is as cringe as it was made to look like, I still think '06's story is largely boring and a bit tryhard for the series, although it has a few funny/cute moments. So yes, overly serious games are not new in the series.

But Frontiers really gives me a whole different vibe. Like it doesn't just want to be taken seriously: it wants to be praised as a pivotal moment in the series. Perhaps it's precisely because of how it solely exist to "fix" characters, how it shoves as many references as it could as candy for the old-time fans (when one of the complaints of the Pontaff games was that they felt disconnected), how everything about it, and now I'm also adding the gameplay, feels like it doesn't exist for its own sake, but to be "a step in the right direction". Like that it's the biggest accomplishment it can reach. It's a step in the right direction. It's better than what came before. We are fixing the series. Right?

(I wouldn't mind the attempt to show how Sonic was suffering from the corruption. I genuinely like the scene where Sage keeps questioning Sonic's resolve and he just keeps going with a gritted smile. I sure mind how the game was rushed into giving it a non-conclusion lmao, and Final Horizon didn't really fix things.)

Nova didn't want to be here, she was safer in Ivy Cove, happier as well since she was reunited with Cypher. Now, she was separated from him again, and she felt more haunted. Every time the blonde went out, she was always looking over her shoulder. She was afraid of the empire finding her again, maybe that was why she hardly left her apartment anymore. A sudden noise from behind her caused Nova to flinch slightly before bright hues looked and spotted who she hoped was her roommate standing there. The Jedi didn't know why she got spooked, before realizing that she grew deep in her meditation and was blocking out the force. Nova smiled slightly at the other, not making a move to go closer, instead she kept her distance by remaining by the window in the apartment. "Hello, I'm Nova."

i'll be drawing the drdt characters in my fuit gumy style (example above, and also it needs to be spelt exactly that way). ideally i post one thing a day, but real life circumstances might help or hinder me

requests are currently open. i can't promise that i'll get to every request and i don't know if i can answer every ask/question, but i'll try my best!

i do not Bite but please be nice to me!! i am just a 1) gremlin 2) a Student who needs stability and routine

i can draw headcanons, aus, and such, but i'll be adhering to canon most of the time. also, i love weird combos too if you can find an explanation for them interacting whether platonically, romantically, or a secret third thing

if a request has multiple characters, please specify if you mean it romantically or not, so romantic interactions can be given ship tags as well. if it isn't specified in the request, i'll interpret it as platonic by default (i'm pretty dense and have trouble interpreting interactions sometimes)

crossovers/referring to other series can be requested, but are very unlikely to be actually drawn. for me to finish them, i'd need to know the other series. However, if your request happens to be something along the lines of "[insert fuit gumy here] with [pokemon / digimon of choice]", I will absolutely not complain. I would be honored!!

i will not be accepting requests that involve canon danganronpas AND fanganronpas. this blog has always meant to be focused on drdt first and foremost, and i'm content to let it stay that way (for now). although characters from other fanganronpas may Very Rarely appear in Original Situations!
