what if bridon arc but i pay attention to the times (ep 1) (at least the ones that i can notice since some look like they have something but then i cant make it out so shrug)

im really bad at dates so bear with me here. dates will be added to time when i can see it on that frame but unless stated otherwise just assume theyre following each other in order

23:10 - they hide in the darkroom

23:11 - he pauses before rushing to xiaoshi who is laying on the ground. xiaoshi takes his hand, apologies and tells him 'save them'

00:04 - lu guang is upstairs getting the photo (HE SPENT AN HOUR WITH XIAOSHIS DEAD BODY IM-)

00:05 (09-13) - he goes back in time

17:32 - he ends up back in the past (assumedly. his watch is missing but its the time on the photo)

05:29 (04-12) (it then ticks to 05:30) - bruhs sitting on his bed thinking. his eyes are still gold

05:31 - he puts his hands down

05:33 - he replies to xiaoshis text, see below (THATS AFTER TWELVE HOURS PASSED IM. i didnt think about this cause they didnt really do much time travel so i wasnt thinking of like seeing it in the present but that it happened in the past so i. om.)

08:00 - xiaoshi is in his bed looking at his phone, at lu guang's contact (google translate tells me xiaoshi tells him that they should play basketball together tomorrow)

when he stops by at the time where he probably helps them paint the building his eyes are normal colored

13:30 (06-09) - xiaoshi is there to take pictures of the main coser (lu guang) of the anime club

12:30 probably..? (next day) - they arrive at the convention

13:34 - they get the kung fu master package (the bag) and qiao ling leaves to get it

14:35 (06-10) - qiao ling exits the line after getting the collector's edition of kung fu master 7

16:59 (06-10 2019) - xiaoshi talks about adding his divination (if it was real) as a side gig to the studio

17:00 - lu guang says he has to leave, qiao ling tells them to hurry up. he turns back but xiaoshi grabs his wrist and brings him inside

(flashback) 14:50 - vivian getting zhou xun into investing (also same time when he gives her 100k seemingly? or he was thinking it)

7:20 (pm?) - they beg lu guang to do his magic thing (I think? the seconds hand keeps confusing me). lu guang tells them to get out as his condition

next day at 7:20-ish pm - lu guang has their phones on call and puts one in xiaoshi's breast pocket

8 pm - xiaoshi meets vivian who thinks he is zhou xun

21:46 - vivian seemingly texted the bad guy (idk name) that xiaoshi (who she thinks is zhou xun) took the bait (again im using google translate so idk)

??? - vivian says that lu guang could get hurt (as an example, if he wanted to run away if he joined them?)

whatever this time is - vivian pretends to hurt him and has him fake his death

the guys enter the room

revealed vivian betrayed the bad guys, and xiaoshi n lu guang run away

11:30 - zhou xun sees the news of vivian being a suspect (his text to her is about meeting again since he missed it yesterday)

7:20 am (probably, its bright outside) - xiaoshi tells him that he worries about lu guang disappearing. lu guang tells him he can stay in the photo studio. they do the clap that means theyre partners for life

Despite getting a ‘yes’ on attendance, Liam’s still slightly surprised when he hears the familiar truck engine pull up to its usual spot by the mailbox. He opens the door when Theo’s footsteps reach the top step, and pops out from behind the dark green entrance with a smile. 

“Hi.”

“You’re a menace.”

“I’ve been told.”

Theo follows the little beta deeper into his house. He meets his mom, who ends up being as sweet as Liam describes, and greets Mason and Corey, who are bickering about what to watch. Up until the movie is decided, he opts to talk to Jenna in the kitchen rather than the pack of misfits across the room. Fifteen minutes later, though, her husband comes home and he knows he’ll have to succumb to the crazy soon. 

Sooner rather than later - Theo was hoping he’d have at least a little more time - Liam jumps up to hug his dad, then pulls Theo by the arm all the way to the living room. He plops down on a blanket on the floor and practically tugs him down with him, offering a half-assed sorry afterwards. Theo huffs, but settles beside him. He takes note of Mason and Corey sitting rather close to their right, and copies Liam as he leans his back against the couch. Jenna and David leave ten minutes later, leaving twenty dollars on the counter top, and about thirty warnings to not burn down the house. The DVD finishes its previews right as the door locks. Theo realizes he’s trapped now. 

It’s not that Theo doesn’t want to be around Liam, that’s not the case at all. The problem is the setting, where it’s late at night and a movie’s playing. It’ll be hard to control his heart rate and even worse to prevent his nightmares if he falls asleep. If he were a normal boy, without supernatural DNA, and if Liam were the same, he would kill for an opportunity like this. He’d agree immediately and sit beside him without hesitation. As the night went on, he’d inch closer and closer until practically cuddling the other boy, if he let him. 

But Theo can’t, and he won’t, and he stays still, and controls his heart. A few times, Liam’s shoulder brushes up against his and his focus dwindles. At one point, Liam moves his head close enough that his lips brush Theo’s cheek. It was an accident, by the way he moves away quickly, but he’s not too embarrassed, because he goes right back to his ear, this time with a better understanding of where Theo is. 

“You can relax, y’know? This isn’t a pack meeting or anything, this is just us hanging out. You don’t need to pretend around me, or any of us.”

Theo struggles with that. One, that Liam can sense he’s holding back, and two, that he’s putting so much strength into his mask, he’s missing the movie entirely. 

“What are we even watching?”

“Ant-Man, because there’s one scene at the end that Corey finds really funny, and he’ll happily sit through the whole movie just for those three seconds,” he explains. “But Paul Rudd is hot, so Mase and I don’t mind. Plus the movie is pretty good, I have to admit.” 

Theo doesn’t respond. His mind sits on the idea of Liam finding the man on the screen hot. It’s not that he doesn’t agree, it’s the fact that Liam finds him hot. 

Liam. 

Who dated Hayden. 

Who begged Theo to come tonight, because he “wanted his company,” and sent about a hundred kissing emojis to beckon him over. 

Liam, who just grazed his lips against Theo’s cheek and didn’t even flinch. 

Theo’s mind is suddenly really busy. And between the dark room, and the peaceful atmosphere, and the fact that he’s not in his truck, staring up at the fabric headliner, but leaning against Liam’s shoulder - how did that happen? - he starts to feel tired. He hasn’t slept well in days. Weeks, really. Maybe even months. 

Scratch that, Theo’s not sure he’s ever slept well. The last day in his mother’s womb was probably the last good sleep he’s ever had. 

But right now, next to Liam, inhaling his scent, close to Corey and Mason, - two people he used to doubt but now trusts - Theo feels himself nodding off. 

Liam thinks the man on the screen is hot. 

Liam’s beside him, touching him, almost kissing him. 

His head is spinning. 

Tara’s not in eyesight or earshot of him. The movie tunes her out. Liam grounds him. 

His head slumps from Liam’s shoulder to his lap, but he barely notices. 

Liam does. 

“Mase, give me that blanket.”

“This one?” He holds up a suede blue one.

“No, the weighted one.”

“Oh. Here.”

“Thanks.”

“Is he sleeping?” Corey asks in a whisper.

“Not yet, almost.” Liam drapes the blanket over him, from his shoulders to toes. Theo shifts slightly to welcome its warmth and the comfort it brings. 

Something heavy caresses his body, but it’s nice. He nestles his head deeper into his pillow - Liam’s lap, unbeknownst to him. A gentleness massages his head - Liam’s fingers playing with his hair - but he’s too relaxed to find out the source. In record time, Theo dozes off. His heart rises and falls steadily through the night. He doesn’t wake, nor cry, nor sweat. He sleeps peacefully, indulging in the comfort of the new environment. 

Liam falls asleep with a hand still in his hair, backed up against the couch. He’d watch him sleep if he could, make sure he doesn’t wake from a nightmare, but the gentle lull of his anchor’s heartbeat puts him to sleep quickly. 

Corey laughs silently at his favorite part - Thomas the Tank Engine  suddenly becomes so massive, he breaks through the house’s roof. He throws his hands in the air in a quiet cheer. 

When the movie’s over, Mason collects him into an embrace to sleep. 

The sun rises early in the morning, but Theo doesn’t. Everyone wakes up one-by-one and takes extra precaution to be quiet. Liam knows things Theo doesn’t know he knows. He wanted his company tonight, but he also wanted him to sleep. He hadn’t expected his crash to be in his lap, but Liam is certainly not complaining about it. 

Corey’s the last to wake. It’s nearly nine. Theo fell asleep at ten. Liam wants at least one more hour, a full twelve hours of undisturbed sleep. It’s likely he’ll be too embarrassed to come back to another movie night. Liam’s prepared for that. But he desperately hopes that this rest instead convinces him to stay more often, even if it means sneaking carefully through his window. His mom’s already approved that, if it gets him off the streets. 

“Is he still asleep?”

Corey receives three sets of fingers to lips. He apologizes silently with wide eyes and wild gestures. Mason corrals him out of the living room and into the kitchen. 

Theo’s still sleeping at ten. His heart’s still steady. He looks beautiful, painted in sunlight.

One more hour, Liam decides. At least one more.

6:35 AM: Portal testing complete. All works as intended. Still no signal from communications devices. Final preparations for Maj. MacNamara’s entrance are beginning. 

11:07 AM: Final preparations complete. Ready to begin entrance into the Black and White.

11:37 AM: Unfortunately, Maj. MacNamara is not psychologically sound. He began exhibiting signs of anxiety at approximately 11:10 AM, and rapidly progressed into full blown panic within minutes. He seemed to wear himself out, and was prepared to continue the mission, and then promptly fell unconscious. He appears to have cracked his skull. Is in med bay for further treatment. We will find a replacement and continue tomorrow.

Oct. 31, 2005. PEIP HQ. Mission Report.

8:43 AM: We have managed to find a replacement. Col. Wilbur Cross offered himself for the experiment. We were hesitant, but he was the best option. Unfortunately, Cross is significantly less expendable than MacNamara, so we will work to ensure he comes back.

3:54 PM: We have completed as much safety training as possible. As is known, the mission did not plan for MacNamara’s recovery from the Black and White, so this is a rapid change of plans. We believe it will work, though.

7:06 PM: Cross has entered the portal. He shows signs of life and is keeping contact with us. Will send updates once an hour.

8:06 PM: Recording devices have been planted. Signal is strong. Mission successful.

9:06 PM: No updates from Colonel Cross. We are radioing to him now.

10:06 PM: Nothing. Signal has been lost.

11:06 PM: Portal has shut down. Colonel Cross has been filed as MIA. Nobody may know about this.

12:06 AM, Nov. 1: Cover story complete, witnesses are being drilled on this. Cross went missing on Oct. 20 (the last day anyone outside of PEIP saw him) and we spent days looking for him. We were given a ransom note stating that he was dead. Lt. Colonel Schaffer will inform his family. As was said above, no one may know what happened.

Feb. 14, 2006. PEIP HQ. Incident Report.

At 9:42 AM, the portal activated with no input. Agents, including Maj. MacNamara, went to investigate. No signs of break-in or illegal entry were found.

Three hours later, after the search had been completed, the portal surged. Col. Wilbur Cross emerged. He was slumped over himself and appeared to be in pain, calling for help. Maj. MacNamara approached him first, and was allowed to touch Cross. However, when a medic appeared to assist him, Cross slit her throat.

He began to laugh as he approached the remaining agents. Three were killed, and all except for MacNamara were injured to some degree. Quote: “Come on, John! It’s happy there! I have a fwendy-wend who you’d love to meet! He has a spot saved for you right next to me! We could be together! Fix this broken world! All you have to do is come with me!”

These were quickly dismissed as the ramblings of a madman. MacNamara was given the order to eliminate Cross, but failed. He escaped.

Due to the nature of Cross and MacNamara’s previous relationship, MacNamara being the only one to remain unharmed, and his failure to eliminate the threat, Johnathan S. MacNamara is suspect for working with eldritch forces against the good of humanity. We will investigate this further. As of tomorrow, he will be interrogated with whatever force necessary. Records will be provided in a separate file.
