Your posts are so weird I always think they have like 600 notes and then they have 40 and I remember that nobody cares about old guilty gear translations

Some of the posts that have art attached have gotten pretty big numbers (like the individual Artworks GGX 2007 scan posts) but yeah for the most part the translations only really interest, like, a microscopic portion of the GG community haha

It's honestly kind of fascinating because a LOT more people seem to know me for my translations than for my other GG projects, despite the translations generally getting less traction on social media? I'd be curious to see detailed analytics on things like pageviews for translations hosted on my Neocities vs the views for the asset rips, artwork, or other media, but there isn't a way to track that with a free Neocities account. Paid accounts can attach Google Analytics, iirc

It seems like people talk about the translations more than the other stuff outside of the posts themselves, like in group chats or other places. So the translations have more of a continuous stream of people looking for and talking about them than the artworks, which generally have a huge initial burst before a hard dropoff (unless the posts get boosted on socials again)

This doesn't bother me any, which things are getting however much engagement. It's just interesting observing how the community engages with the different media

i groan, remembering when i told minho that matching lock screens were too obvious. before i can say anything else kitty speaks up, “don’t worry i won’t tell anyone”
