im gonna make a comic about this but yes, they co-parent rose for sure, she stays every other week with mia. neither mia or evie would be comfortable having anything to do with eachother though.

in this au i think mia and ethan got separated, not because they dont love eachother, they just cant even begin to act normal after everything they went through. as much as mia would like to forget the past and be a nice happy family again it leaves a hole where closure should be for ethan. That being said, i still think after theyve processed the trauma and grief over their divorce they’d still care for eachother very deeply and go on walks when they pick up rose from eachother etc.

as for mia’s opinion on karl.. she’s very wary about him (he’s a prick), but whatever makes ethan’s happy (even if he does have terrible taste..)

Huzzah new headcanons post, this time about Koopa burial rites and other stuff

So to start of I will say that any Koopa regardless of how they died will eventually become a Dry Bones. Depending on how they died it will take the Dry Bones longer to wake up, if they fell in lava the Dry Bones awakens pretty quickly, if they died in a manner that doesn't cause all their flesh, organs and nerves to disintegrate it will take the Dry Bones quite a while to wake up.

Because everyone knows that Dry Bones will eventually wake up, the Koopas make Graves shallow and easy for the Dry Bones to dig out of. After the Dry Bones wake up they typically do one of two things, they either stay in the Dark Kingdom to continue serving their ruler and families or they go to the land of the dead. If they died due to some sort of head trauma the Dry Bones will be rather air headed and forgetful but nobody really minds and are more than willing to remind them of things, if they were a soldier or guard and want to continue with that line of work they are given easy jobs like guarding Bowser's wine cellar with someone coming down every now and again to keep them on task.

The Bone Piranha Plants are not actually Piranha Plants, they are reanimated things not meant to exist really, but they do nonetheless.

Actual Piranha Plants are kinda like venus fly traps, the only exception is that they activity hunt their food. Their "teeth" are actually thorns

Thought I'd go into detail as to where Alexander, Henry and King live because why not. Alexander lives in a Montane Forest, he chose that spot for his house because he thought it would deter people from trying to go there, he was wrong. The mountain the forest is on is actually one of the access points for the land of the dead, because it's connected to the land of the dead it's a pretty active paranormal hotspot meaning ghost fanatics and hunters frequently break into his house. Another reason they live there is because it's convenient for Rosemarie because she can easily go to the land of the dead for her orchestra job.

Henry lives near a small town close to the Mushroom Kingdom, he lives by the towns graveyard specifically. It's relatively calm and quiet so he likes it there, very few actually wander into his house. He does them a favor by sort of protecting their dead and the graveyard (Blythe keeps the grounds for Henry because he doesn't have the time)

King lives in the Boo Woods, despite the odd person bothering him and his Boos it's a calm place where he can wind down. Later on he has an easier time keeping nosy people out because Luigi lives with him, turns out the best deterrence for the living, is another living person

obviously maclom adores his rider . he's had a few in the past and yet she's by far his favorite and most precious. he lets her pamper him and cover him in flowers. she dances on and around him and sings to him and spoils him. because of her he has grown fond of small children since she takes him to villages to show the kids.

andarna loves to play around maclom and loves the flowers that rosemary puts on her. she also enjoys rosemary's singing.

sgaeyl tolerates rosemary being close to her and takes pleasure in being rosemary's muse. she's not opposed to sitting still to be drawn/painted

tairn is the same way as sgaeyl after the first time he sees one of rosemary's sketches. she captures his image perfectly and it boosts his ego

aotrom loves when rosemary sneaks him sweet treats and he doesn't mind the flowers rosemary offers. he's always trying to sneak a peak to see if she's drawing him

Introducing Jack's childhood pet, Señor Zanahorias, or Mister Carrots in English, named after the carrot like marking on his side.

When Jack and his parents first moved to the US, Jack struggled a lot in school, partly from being outcast due to his deep voice, uncanny grin, and good ol racism, but he just didn't seem to care about grades. So his parents did the ol trick of promising a pet if their kid gets his grades up. And hooo boy he did, far, far quicker than his parents expected. They were low on money at the time and Jack wouldn't stop bugging them about that pet, so they went out a bought a rabbit that was on sale for $5

Turns out he was on sale due to a foul temper and a tendency to bite people, but Jack didn't care and instantly grew attached. Jack was pretty much the only person who was allowed to pick up/pet Señor Zanahorias, and he'd get extremely huffy if he wasn't paid attention to for more than 5 minutes. One time when Jack was pulling an all nighter, this little bastard started screaming to get his attention, and Jack's parents really, REALLY wished they just got a cat instead in that moment. Too late though, Jack adores him

Fun fact, the moment Rosemary fell in love with Jack was actually connected with Señor Zanahorias. They were friends for a while, but Rosemary was a bit intimidated by again, his deep voice and uncannily wide grin, plus Jack was pretty socially awkward in his youth. But one day when they were hanging out at his house, Rosemary got a front row seat to the gentleness and care Jack showed to his grouchy old bastard of a rabbit, how softly he'd talk to such a small creature and how much they loved each other. And now he could add another one on the list of creatures that love him because HOOOOO BOY did Rose fall head over heels in that moment.

Señor Zanahorias lived to the ripe old age of 8, and Jack never got another rabbit again, but his memory lives on in photo albums and the stories he tells.

Rosemary would be Mother Miranda’s favorite child. I have this personal HC that Eva’s soul did reincarnate inside Rosemary’s body. Yeah, Rose would be Mother Miranda’s favorite out of all the lords.
