Sweat coated your forehead as you sprinted across the field, stray strands of hair sticking to her skin that had fallen loose from her ponytail that was daintily tied with a yellow ribbon.

Everything was moving a mile a second. Girls were screaming to each other across the grass and spectators cheered from the sidelines.

Most of the team were currently trying, and failing, to get allow to pass the ball, only for her to seemingly ignore them all and keep with it.

"Come on"

"Nice!"

"Shoot" you cursed, or as close as you would come to swearing, as you stumbled slightly, keeping your footing as you chase after the ball.

"Ty! Over here!"

"Ty! Inside!"

Your parents were in the crowd, your fathers shouts and mothers cheers blending in with the rest of the noise.

Your boyfriend was there too. Well sort of your boyfriend, the boy hadn't officially asked you out yet, but the pair of you had spent every second away from your respective sports and schooling, together.

Ben attended another school, some fancy private all boys school that your parents would have definitely sent you to if it wasn't for your gender. But the two of you still ran in a lot of the same circles through parties and transfers.

"Forward! Forward! Come on!"

Shauna didn't like Benjamin, said he was a dumb jock. You and Jackie had to refrain from sharing that the three of you were jocks as well.

Jackie loved him. She thought the boy was perfect for you, and had been pushing the two of you together since she met him at a party in the summer.

"Ty!"

You needed for them to win today.

Ever the control freak, you couldn't cope if they didn't.

You needed their team to go to nationals. Not just because your parents and hopefully soon to be boyfriend and future husband was there. But because it was, (alike your already planned marriage) apart of your plan.

That meticulous plan you had been putting together since the day you gained consciousness and could begin to stress about every aspect of your future.

"Jackie!"

The ball hit Jackie's head. Then the goal.

The whistle blew.

ears ringing for a moment before the cheers and screams of excitement flooded your ears.

You clutched onto the taller girl, the two of you bouncing up and down and running in to join the others in a group hug.

"Bunny darling!" A voice called from the bottom of a grand staircase, "you're going to be late"

You however, forever cursed with being tired no matter how much sleep you got, grumbled into your pillow in response, having been awake for half an hour and constantly trying to forget that fact as you tried to fall back asleep again, regardless of the time.

You had spent the evening beforehand doing the usual, studying, stressing out, and planning your week to the minute detail in your journal.

At your mother's voice calling once again, you finally arose from your floral patterned sheets and mountain of pillows which felt a lot more inviting than waking up.

Walking over to your vanity groggily, you rub at your eyes and slip on your slippers.

Your room was so very obviously your own. The walls were covered in gold frames, displaying photos of you with her family and friends, old photo booth strips and paintings you had made with Jackie.

You pulled at your lace curtains, letting light enter the room, your eyelashes fluttering at the brightness.

You sat, applying your usual makeup and styling your hair as you did every other day. Eventually heading downstairs once you were finally ready.

“Honestly sweetie you're going to be late!" Your mother scolded gently from her place in the kitchen, making you grimace at the nickname, your father sat at the breakfast nook table chuckling, "you better get going."

"I can't get going mummy" you respond with a smile, reaching the table and grabbing a piece of toast off of a plate your mother made you, buttering it.

"Shauna and Jackie are picking me up this morning" you tell your parents, making your mother tut and walk over to you.

"You know I don't like that Shauna girl buns" the elder blonde woman stated with a sigh, grabbing hold of your hair lightly and twirling it, "She's a bad influence on you"

"But mummy...Shauna's one of my closest friends" you say with a sigh, looking down at your toast with a frown.

"She's just so rough" the woman mutters, "she's nothing like you buns, and have you heard the amount of curses that come out of her mouth!!?"

"Shauna's one of the smartest people I know" you try to defend the girl, looking back up at the woman, who sighs in response.

"Yes well I suppose she's a good influence there...I only hope she doesn't rub off on you any other way..."

"Maggie darling" your father interjected, looking up from his newspaper.

"I'm just saying" Margret rebutted, "I mean have you seen what she wears? Anyone would think she's some sort of miscreant-"

"Mummy!" You scolded, if your mother thought what Shauna wore made her a bad influence then you dreaded to think of what she would think about you being on the soccer team with Natalie if she ever saw her outside of her uniform.

"Shauna isn't.. she isn't gay mummy" you said, knowing what your mother meant when she tries to delicately call your friend gay, as if saying the word out loud would speak evil into existence, "plenty of girls dress like that nowadays"

"Ugh I know I'm sorry" the woman muttered, stepping back from you, "I just don't get it, why would you want to dress like a boy! She's a pretty girl I mean honestly..."

You tuned your mother's ramblings out, biting on your toast and willing your friends to get there sooner.

"I saw Jeff" Shauna started once Jackie had joined her in her car, "What happened to no distractions before nationals? Ripping off the Band-Aid, and all that?"

"I decided that..." Jackie started hesitantly, as the two continued their journey, "showing up to college a virgin is a mistake...No offense."

"We've been together for so long that, if we're each other's first, then we'll be linked forever. It's more poetic that way" the brunette tells their best friend, watching her turn down another street towards your house.

"It's very Lilly P" she adds as Shauna finally pulls into a large driveway, the two waiting for a big gate to open so they could reach the house.

Waiting at the front door is you, a soft smile on your face at the sight of your friends.

You clutch your signature floral tote bag, wearing a light cream sweater and denim skirt. A cross necklace laying on your chest as it did everyday.

"Morning" you called sweetly as you opened the backseat door, gaining similar responses from the two friends.

"Wait, Jeff's a virgin?" Shauna states as the blonde climbs into her seat, making you giggle at the sudden question.

"I'm sorry?" You ask, as Shauna takes off from the drive again.

"Jackie wants to loose her virginity before college..." Shauna states with a strange edge to her voice, making the Taylor girl add in quickly.

"Well, we've been together since freshman year." She tells them in justification.

"Yeah, I know. It's just..." Shauna started, unsure, "you guys have broken up, like 10,000, times."

"Never long enough to count." She reassured, swiftly swinging round to you in the back seat, "what do you think bunny?"

You pout tilting your head as you tell her, "if it's what you want jacks..."

Shauna glares in the mirror.

"I do" she smiles assuredly, Turing back around in time to spot the sign they were approaching, "The hell is this bullshit?"

After being forced to cut bens foot she’s so protective of him, spending every waking minute she’s allowed to, by his side (which Lottie makes sure is at least an hour or two a day, seeing how you seek comfort in him and no longer seeing him as a threat in his state because what is he gonna do??)

If any of the other girls try to properly talk to him or go near him she turns into a bit of a rabid dog, terrified one of them will hurt him again or take him away from her

When Natalie actually kills him bunny is destroyed

Deep down she knows it was for the best but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t sob and cry like an insane person when the last person that was truly on her side, is gone

Especially when she fully blames herself, being the one that brought the girls to him, and the one that cut him (even if Shauna literally forced her to with the threat of killing him)

It doesn’t help that Bunny believes all of lotties wilderness stuff, so finding out her way home is gone, and because of her own doing, takes her to her breaking point, coming to a realisation that she’ll never get home (which is ofc not true)

She becomes a lot more unhinged at this point (especially with whatever’s gonna go on with the hikers)

However at this point, I think she’s gonna get more depressed than she is agressive

Not having many reasons to act out against the others without Ben to protect

She’ll definitely be more comfortable with getting bloody and dark with the other girls if necessary now, something which Shauna will take advantage of

However I think that mentally this idea of it being her fault that their bridge is dead and they’re never getting home will make her basically give up on any sort of hopes of returning to normalcy like she had before and lean into the idea of staying in the wilderness for the rest of her life, even thinking it was her purpose or destiny

Which also makes it so easy for her to completely submit herself to Nat Shauna and Lottie again, having Lottie whispering in her ear constantly that it’s her purpose to serve them

Why else would the bridge have been killed?? So that you could stay there with them

For her big snap, that will definitely be after they get rescued

It’ll probs take a while for her to recover (although they all never fully will) and she clings to trying to return back to normal as instantly as possible

At first she allows the other survivors to keep contact with her, basically a case of Stockholm syndrome even though she’s still lowkey scared of them

She’s scared to let them go and seeks out some sort of twisted toxic comfort from them and the idea of returning to the wilderness

However eventually she cuts off contact pretty harshly, a couple years into being back and once she’s had her first baby (Shauna having basically caused the cut off for all of them)

Her son and seeing how territorial Shauna was becoming over Jack was her breaking point, and now she’s cut them all out of her life she tells her husband about everything that happened and gets a lot better from separating from them

Benjamin helps her realise how bad their relationships were (bunny having been somewhat aware but also not at the same time??) and is a big help in her recovery and getting better after not only the wilderness, but their relationships too

She turns into a very different person from the bunny they all knew, and when they all meet again in the adult time line the girls are shocked at how different she is

She’s extremely protective of her family above all else and she’s not scared of the girls anymore, and she certainly isn’t gonna start letting them control her and take over her life she’s worked sooo hard to look after

Slight spoiler for where her story is going

But her and Benjamin are so in charge

They’re such a girlboss family honestly

Like they’re not afraid to get their hands dirty and bunny is definitely not getting herself incriminated in a bunch of Shauna’s bullshit

They’re so in control of their shit that van asks if they got their money from being in the mafia?? (Such a van thing to ask)

At the end of the day they’re all just sooooo shocked that sweet little bunny is capable of now

But more surprisingly that she’s not willing to do anything lottie, Shauna and Nat say now, something they struggle to come to terms with
